Jam wasn't sure how long it took her but she though she could see the tail end of the group she had been with when the ninja struck. Her tail flickered as she tried to catch up.
The quick pace was making her tired though. "HEY YOU GUYS!" She called towards them. She was actually sorta unsure if she had actually caught up to them so calling out was probably the better way to go about this.

Basil was walking behind the group lost in her own thoughts when a familiar voice got her attention and she spun around.
She smiled in surprise "Jamie!" Basil ran back to Jamais almost skipping. "For a second there I thought you went a different way." She said when she stopped next to the demon and smirked.

When Basil came back to her, Jamais sat in the snow for a second panting a bit. "For a second, I thought I wasn't going to find you guys. Everyone was gone by the time I woke up." She said tail flickering as she looked around.
She by the time she caught her breath and was back on her feet she found sitting in the snow was probably a bad idea. "I had to try to follow the tracks in the snow but that's hard to do when it keeps snowing." She chuckled as she brushed off the bits of snow from her pants that had clung.
"Anyways, I'm caught up now. Did I miss anything?

Colette mumbled, "No problem," behind her to the gleeful Witch with a tone of indifference. She didn't specifically give it to her, and she realized the witch probably didn't know that, but she didn't see a reason to tarnish her happiness. It didn't much bother her if Belladonna thought she was exceptionally nice. She tried to be kind most of the time anyway, but the stress from before was distracting.
Though, when she heard Alwine talking about Belladonna contacting Rain, Colette thought she should have given the Reaper even more; she was so relieved. She hadn't heard Barth bring it up first, he was so quiet and she was distracted with her embarrassment, but she would have praised him tenfold. She moved to keep pace with Belladonna and watched her send a message to Rain, telling her, "I'm so relieved you have her number."
Being so outgoing actually had a bonus it seemed, and Colette hoped they would get a reply and find out what happened soon. She dreaded what they would have to do if it was some sort of bad news though, and if Rain did get captured.. would everyone even be willing to go save her? The others they had met on Candycane Lane had no real attachment to her group, and she wouldn't blame him if they decided to avoid the situation, but all she could do right now was wait anxiously.
When Alwine mentioned making a card, Colette became curious. She eyed the paper and asked, "A card? For what?" She said it with a tone as if the entire idea was preposterous, but the slight hostility was probably because Colette wondered if the ghoul already assumed Rain was doomed.

For a good few minutes, the only sound from Belladonna was the crunching of feet against snow. She had finally learned how to almost walk in the snow (big drifts still caught her off guard and she was sure to fall into those) and was currently staring at the pink skellyphone in her hands, as though willing it to have a new message from Rain. However, she did cast a very bright and hopeful smile to Siliya for a quick moment, breaking concentration only for that.
Finally, little bells played a shortened death march and Belladonna gasped extremely loudly, stopping on the path purposefully. Her eyes widened as she read the text and spun around to face the others.
"She's ok!!!" The witch couldn't help but jump a little when she said this. "She said she's on the icy trail and that Alessa and Iggy are there too, but they're all ok!!" Here she breathed a sigh of relief, glad that their fearless leader was just fine, if only separated from them. It was with relief and glad fingers that she replied "GOOD! We were worried. We're all ok, just back in the forest. Catch up with you soon!"
"A card? For who?" Belladonna echoed of the fellow reaper, leaning in to look at the thing Alwine was constructing. Had she forgotten someone's birthday or something? And how was she going to send it? How very odd!

Colette stopped almost as abruptly as Belladonna did. The witch's gasp had given Colette a grim expression and horrible feeling in her stomach. She thought Rain really did get held hostage by the ninja, or something equally terrible, until the witch informed them that Rain was okay. She let out a sigh of relief and relaxed, "Good. At least I know where I'm headed now."
She looked around, and by the sight of nothing but trees, it seemed like they still had a ways to go. Who knew how far behind they were from others? The Reaper didn't really anticipate the exit of the forest either. Last time, a lot of the group had split up. She was technically going to do it herself if Barth didn't happen to take the same path she wanted to and everyone else unexpectedly follow. Colette figured the same would happen again, they would lose a few, but now she actually dreaded the idea. The Reaper found she actually enjoyed a lot of these individuals, and Krumm had made her feel so connected in the Candycane Lane fiasco.
The Reaper eyed her companions, thinking might as well get it over with now, and asked the group, "So where's everyone else planning on going?"

Fairly intent on getting through this stupid forest, but nowhere near as intent as he had been on keeping up speed on Candy Cane Lane, West decided that he had the decency to slow down and wait for the others when some seemed content to stroll. "Hm," he grunted. "Mosta my car wentto th'mountains. Prob'ly gonna go there too."
He turned to face forward again while he walked, but kept one ear on the ghouls. The ghost was making a card? How weird.

Raziel had been kind of in his own world for most of their walk so far. He had just followed everyone absent-mindedly, going over the recent events many many times. It wasn't until just now that he was brought back out of himself.
"Uhhm, I was thinking of going to the mountains as well," Raziel chimed in. Most of his car had gone to the sea, and he'd do almost anything to avoid them.

"That was where our illustrious Car Captain went too, wasn't it?" The 'wasn't it' was very bitter.
The mountain path involved so much climbing.
Although if he could find someone else to manage the climbing for him, in theory, the rest of the path could become the fabled Downhill on Skiis path that Barth had spent the trip hoping for.
That was a very big IF, though.

Alwine looked around at those curious about her card and blushed at the neck.
"I'm so happy that Rain's okay! I'll probably follow her to the mountains..." she beamed over at the others. "Anyway, the card's an apology..."
She nervously looked down at the half-drawn card.
"It's an apology for Candycane Lane... since we, uh... you know..."
She balled one of her hands into fists and ground it into her other palm.
"Since we got... beaten... you know... ah, I'm sorry!!"

Basil tilted her head as Jamais sat down "I looked around, but I didn't see you, so I went ahead and followed the group." She looked back at the cluster of boils and ghouls then back to Jamie.
"Lets start walking, too cold to be, literally sitting around." she continued her smirking, not sure why she was doing it herself. Maybe the cold made it frozen that way.
As Basil stared walking, she also started explaining, "Ah- well, after you and some others were..transported to the infirmary or something." Basil looked sideways, she was more focused on the merciless ninja to notice. "Umm, the rest of us did some damage to it, but every died...oh! except that one zombie girl who said she was important to the student...something, well she threw yellow snow at the ninja, then disappeared" Basil pointed forward with her free hand "they were just talking about it." then let it drop back into her pocket. "aaand other then that, a tree battle." she looked back at Jamie, her babbling hadn't let her friend say a word.

Jamais nodded as she moved along beside Basil again. Her tail flickering.
She waited till Baseil was done talking before she offered a suggestion. "When we get back to the cross roads, maybe we should take the low one, not candy cane lane." The cat demoness paused, "Unless you want to try the lane again." She chuckled, as they moved, she was patting down pockets, and felt something. She pulled out the object, it was that odd card. "I wonder what this does." She muttered as she turned it over, "That Minipet master gave it to me.."
She slid it back into her pocket to keep from loosing it.

Basil though for a moment at the others suggestion, she had wanted to go to the mountains, but she chose the first time, and it was a bad one. "Y-yea that sounds good, I think it goes to that island." The image of the map they were showed at the beginning of the tripped popped into her head.
Basil glanced at the card "No clue what it's for I didn't even get one, buuut I'm sure we will find out eventually." she sighed "kinda like everything else."

Her tail flickered, looking at Basil. Quirking a brow, "Did you want to go another way?" She nodded when the other said it went to the island. "The only thing I was thinking is that it was probably warmer there than up in the mountains..."
It sounded nonchalant as Jamais spoke, "I figured less freezing, but eh it's whatever." She'd missed the talking about going up into the mountains actually, having been so far behind.''
Echoing Basil's sigh she nodded, "Hopefully it's not another death trap."

After having heard the others speak their opinions on where to go, Raziel was interested to see how many of them would go north, and how many would go south. He already knew exactly where he was going, and so headed off in the direction of the mountains, hoping someone else would come too.
