((Kentarou is confused.... But cast his vote for Nukpana.))

Kentarou heard that familiar voice throw in her vote for him once more. He clearly hasn't been listening to the conversation so has no idea what is going on. All he knows is he is hearing his name far to much for his liking he would prefer if it was kept out of their mouths. He was trying to hard to be innocent was laughable to him he hadn't even held a conversation with anyone. The fact that he was accused just annoyed him but he only had a few words to say. "There isn't a thing I have do or said that would come of as trying to hard as she stated. I have no reason to try and convince you I am not the berzerker because there is nothing I can say." He peered over at Nukpana "but it is odd how Nukpana all of a sudden seems to accuse me when he hasn't even noticed me the entire night. But now all of a sudden I am the person causing all of this." He sighed and looked at Andrugora "if I truly were the berzerker then why didn't I take her out clearly she annoys me. I had plenty of opportunities to do it." Kentarou just sighed and rubbed his head turning his attention to something else other than the people in the cabin.

Vic's words brought the skinwalker's eyes back to the group for a second, eyebrows furrowing together in a half quizzical, half grateful manner. He hadn't done anything to earn her trust, really. Hell, as the numbers dwindled, it made him look more and more suspicious. She certainly coulda turned against him, and he wouldn't have blamed her for a second. But she didn't, and in return Nuk merely stared, feeling the oddest sensation of confusion and relief.

Aw lanterns, he really had gone soft. He needed to give a few swirlys as soon as he got back to Amityville, just to make up for it.

"There isn't gonna be any jacking misfortune," Nuk muttered testily, growling a bit under his breath, "Or there'd better not be. I might seriously choke a bat and make the accusations true."

He didn't even dignify Kentarou's statement with a response. How many times could he say 'nothing personal, I picked you out of a hat' before it got redundant?

"Weird?" Vic began staring openly at Kentarou. "Mate, was as much as said it was the quiet ones we be lookin' at. Heck, that ain't Nuk what said it - it was me an' Perlie, an' he tagged 'long! Ye ought ter know exactly why there's three o' us lookin' at ye. An' it's because yer coastin' along without drawin' attention, mate. Just like Perlie was sayin', before someone decided she had t' be taken out o' the 'quation. Smarter t' hush up and avoid anyone's lookin' yer way, ain't it? Make sure y'don't slip up and say nothin' incriminalizing-like?"

And as for Nuk's comment on the misfortune note... the ghost's eyes flickered his way, and her expression wavered close to a near-smile before a customary scowl overwrote the whole thing. Not the time to speak on it, and anything that had to be said was on the note, in any case. If they were lucky, it'd be unneeded - but damn it all, Vic wasn't going to fret about whether she could be shut up, like Perlie had been.

( Vote change: switching to Kentarou. )

Lumidee played absently with her hem, trying to hold back her fearfulness and think at the same time (and it was no easy going). Nuk and Vic bickering with yet another suspect in the background was something she could easily tune out, seeing as it had happened enough over the last few hours. And the pirate - Great Jack, was she writing a will or something? Even that didn't give her too much alarm. The thing she was having the grudging trouble with the skinwalker himself.

He sounded all impassioned and all, professing his innocence. Just as much as she had, in fact. And his point, while she genuinely reviled saying it, was a good one. Lumi had completely forgotten that there was another side to be considered, and all, and well... She made a face. It was gross, that she couldn't even stand up to monsters like Nukpana in her own head.

She really, really lacked fondness for bullies.

Ghaun crossed his arms and stared evenly at Vic. Was this ghost serious? There was no such "captain" here -- was something wrong with her head? It was the first time he had ever heard of a ghost with such strong memories, but it wouldn't be surprising for him if she made it up in order to keep in with the "pirate" theme she wore. He knew several pirates, but this... Vic was a case in and of herself. "I don't know and I don't care," he told her flatly. "All I know is that you have a weapon that I'm confiscating until you learn how to properly take care of it." If she ever did.

When the skinwalker came up, Ghaun extended his glare to him too. "And risk a bezerker to take it from her to use it as a weapon? Fine. Here." He offered the sword to the ghost, scrambling quickly to recover it as the lights went out. He was too slow.

In the darkness it was easy to hear the muffled OMMPH! as someone was struck once, trice, trice -- the lights came on to reveal Kasumi crumpled on the floor with Kentarou standing over her, sword raised for a final blow.

It's unknown who moved first, who tackled the bezerker and assisted in securing him in the Accused cabin. Kasumi was laid to rest in a bed in the injured cabin.

Then, together they waited. And waited. There was some debate, however no more attacks came -- all of the bezerkers have been found.

The Train pulled into the station without incident. A crowd awaited them there: the Bogeymen, there at last along with some FEAR specialists. Those that were injured were quickly seen to and healed (as easily as FEAR can injure, it can heal just as easily), leaving no traces of scars. The bezerkers were rounded up, and it seemed like everything was at and end.

"Congratulations, Students." One of the Bogeymen announced, "On making it to Amityville Academy in relatively one piece. Before you leave, please speak to one of our detectives and tell us what happened. This includes everyone."

--------------
OOC:

Congrats everyone! All of the bezerkers have either been injured or placed in the accusation cabin! However, the event isn't over just yet: you have one final task.

In 500 words or less, RP telling the detective your version of the events that happened on the train. You can be as descriptive or as sparce as you'd like, however keep the word limit in mind. This is your last chance to impress us for one of the student prizes, so please give it your all! You have until Wednesday, September 29th 2010 at 11:59PM to type up your finale!

Special Roles such as who was what will be revealed at the end, as well as the explanation
as to how this event fits ICly to the current "canon"/events going on.

Prizes will be given out at an unspecified time. Please stay tuned!

Q: Wait Maru! What about the mysterious things going on in the Injured Cabin that you hinted at?!
That little... event will be revealed the next time the Train is used. : D

"Well, I usually makes a policy out'a not talkin' ter nosy folks like yerself. But th' sit'ation being like it be... I'll jus' f'rget that fer now.

"So, what happens was, we's all sittin' around and makin' jolly. The lights go out, an' quick as a gunshot, we's got skellie bones all o'er the place. Everyone's startin' ter throwin' names, but a'course, I'm keepin' cool....

"Anyways, we start sendin' folks to the brig what look suspicious. And this b***h -- erm, I means witch - starts being accusatory-like, but it don't matter, 'cause she gets on the bad side o' the water-horse. 'Course, when he attacks her, turns out they're both bloody bezerkers, an' we all lays 'em out. One o' my mates got 'urt - Balumf, y'know, the fishy 'un? 'Ave ye got any news on 'er?... ah, I sees y'ain't givin' me any in-fer-mation...

"So's, since th' big p***y was choked after the big throwdown, we knows there still be someone dangerous-like. Now, I gets a real weird feelin' 'bout this girl Kasumi, so's I uh, challenge 'er t' a logical-type debate - I gots a way wit' words - and she says she's got these visions. I dunno if I buys it, but if she ain't the attacker, her sayin' that were blood in the water fer the sharks, so we's decides t' start focusin' on the quiet 'uns who maybe be too quiet.

"One o' 'em gets real noisy when we gets around ter his name. Starts makin' wild accusations at m'hearty Nuk - th' one what wearin' a dead animal, ye'd know 'im - but we ain't believin' it. We's gettin' ready to 'cuse him, and me sword - did I mention, me sword was that old blade y've got in yer evidence bin? If I could just -- aye, sure, the story. So we's gettin' ready to 'cuse th' bloke wit' the really long name, an' at the same time, I'm tryin' ter get me sword from the skirted feller what was watchin'. He 'ad this silly idea somebody might get hurt, but he finally goes t'hand me back me sword. Before I get it - WHOOSH! Gets snaked out from in front'a me, it does, and the flea-bitten jack-a-nape what we was accusin' makes a mess out o' th' psychic!

"Th' next few minutes, y'know, I don't remember so well. Was a rompin' good time though, y'should've been there. No, really. Where the bloody 'ell were you blokes, I 'eard a Bogeyman were supposed to be on th' train....

"Anyway. We's gets it werked out ter our satisfaction. Then we yells some mores, waitin' t'see if anybody else be waitin' to attack. Didn't happen, but better safe'n sorry. Then we got 'ere, and yer lot started demandin' answers.

"Now... can I have me bloody sword? The Captain's gonna be angry somethin' terrible if I lose it, y'gotta give it back!..."

"Well, we were sort of just riding along, chatting about silly stuff, right? And we go through a tunnel and then bam, creepy darkness, so nobody saw anything at all and when we came out on the other side of it, this skeleton passenger had been smashed to pieces, you know? And the host comes out and just sort of tells us to decide who the culprit is amongst ourselves, which is pretty irresponsible when you think about it. The staff weren't much help at all, really, and I was going to ask, is there somewhere you can lodge a complaint about that or something? Leaving a bunch of kids to deal with something like that, I mean, not very professional at all.

"Uh, sorry about that, I'll take it up with the station's customer department afterwards, yeah, thanks. So, the testimony. Right.

"The host points out this random guy as a suspect and I think 'wow, I'm gonna go with what he says because he's like, an adult and stuff!' which is really stupid in hindsight, but it made sense at the time, OK? Anyway, turns out it wasn't him and then some other stuff happened, but basically we lost a few more people until one of the witches - she seemed really nice, but I guess you can never tell - and this, um, horse-something? The witch and this horse-something guy get into a fight and we were all like, whoa. So the host tells us to stop them, and we all sort of pile onto them and I tried to stop the witch, Betty I think her name was, but mostly I just sort of got in the way. I did manage to hold back one of her hands for a while there, though.

"Anyway, we finally stopped them, but a lot of people got hurt. Some of them had pumpkins growing on them and everything! There wasn't a lot of people left in the cart at this point - did I mention that? I mean, that we had a cart for the accused and then another one for the injured? Sorry, it totally slipped my mind.

"I think there was another victim after that, although we'd kinda hoped that that was that. But yeah, apparently not, 'cause one of the other witches got hurt too. And then there was a ton of accusations, and people accused me at a point too, and that kinda hurt, you know? We sorted it out, though. Oh, and I totally forgot! There was this crazy girl who claimed to have visions and stuff about who was innocent and who wasn't. I didn't really believe her, but I guess some of the others did.

"And then when we'd decided on someone to accuse, I got hit in the head with something and went out like a light. Next thing I know I'm waking up in some posh room with the other victims, and that's about it, really."

((Posting this here even though Perlie was in the Injured Cabin there at the end. xD 495 words according to the word counter, woo!))

Kasumi stepped gingerly from the train and was pointed to a detective. Hands curled on her stomach, she approached the Boogeyman.

"We were all excited, on our way to the Academy to start the school year. Everyone was fine, chatting within their own little groups and everything but… suddenly, the lights go out and a skeleton explodes! Everyone's really shaken and they separate the skeleton from the rest of us and lock the doors. But what shocked me was that there wasn't a single Boogeyman on the train! Why is that? Anyway, the male reaper in the heels? He tells us we need to keep an eye on each other and accusations start flying. They say, 'injured will be in one cabin, accused in another' so we can whittle down who is who."

"That's when, and you'll find this crazy, I start having visions about people. I figured out later that this was if they were innocent or not. Of course this is totally crazy, right? A monster with visions? I keep it to myself as they whittle down the people..." Kasumi began to ring her hands. "Everyone was so scared, you see, staring at everyone else with these wide eyes. I didn't want to add to it saying I was psychic or something, you know?"

"Then the lights go out again and this rotund witch, Betty I think, she was shoving cookies in someone's mouth -- attacking them! -- when the water horse boy hoofed her… we all jumped on them but so many got injured… We were trying to figure out who was doing what, but the injuries were all so different..." She shook her head. "So many were injured when they tried to pin the witch and the water horse, and they were carted away. With so few of us left, panic started. Attacks were still happening! That's when the pirate, Vic was her name, she jumped me with her sword."

"They were all accusing me but I wanted to help so badly! I hoped to get a vision of who was doing this, so I told them all. I mean, it was a bit too dramatic, even for my tastes, but I was terrified too! Thankfully, they believed me and I got in one last vision, Lumidee, yes, she was innocent too. But I knew I was next after I made that announcement. Then I woke up and we were finally here. Did they catch who did it?"

Kasumi looked around, watching people exit the train and speak to other detectives. She looked worried. "Is everyone alright? Some people had very serious injuries. The FEAR Doctors obviously went to work on me. Is Belladonna alright? I'd like to see her. They were accusing her and I defended her -- she's my friend, especially after all this."

"I'm sorry. I'm afraid I don't have anything else to add."

((490 WITHOUT the size changes and bolding/italicizing. Hope that's not included...! And yes yes thank you for the event! It was awesome! ))

"I wasn't scared." The monster started, brushing the hair away from his eyes. By now he had shaken off all the nerves, or most of them at least..."Had to keep a cool head during intense situations like those, you know? I'll tell you what really happened, officer."

"I look like a friendly guy, right? I don't know why that damn host ever considered me a threat! Clacking heels and all...pointing fingers my way? Rude! ...Anyway, everything started out ok: I was mingling, trying to feel up the crowd...I sort of have a thing for people you know, they just like me." He shrugged, continuing only when he noticed the detectives’ eyes roll. "All of a sudden the lights shut off.
BAM. No warning at all and on TOP of that there was this HUGE crashing sound."

"The whole light thing happened often...I'd consider shutting down the train all together, it really isn't safe...But when those lights turned back on THERE WERE BONES ON OUR PLATES! Ones of a student who hadn't been talking...or doing anything at all really. I don't know. I was the first to be questioned for obvious reasons." He gestured to his tail and ears by stepping back and opening his arms out to each side, spinning once before stepping in again to continue. "After that the whole trip went down hill faster then Jack and Jill ever could. Some kid gets his face diced up, another face-plants onto the table...Whole lot of craziness. But what REALLY got us going was the fight between the seahorse and the witch. Yeah, you can bet your hat and trench coat I was on that like bread on butter! Had that kid fighting harder then ever to shake me off! Got kicked square in the chest and nicked a few times, but I got him good. The rest of the kids helped too."

"We even found out about a mind-reader/future teller. She kind of helped. Basically, lots went down officer...detective, yeah sorry. Formalities and all I get it. Gotta keep your title in check, gotta maintain the respect of the masses...”

“While the train became a hotbed of disaster I had to keep a leveled-head and offer what self-control techniques I could to settle the riled students in the dining hall." Oliver leaned in toward the detective then, cupping one hand around his mouth before whispering. "Although don't expect any of them to admit to it. I am the hero in all of this; the white knight. They'll probably try and tell you I freaked out and turned into some pumpkin licker of sorts." The boy shook his head, eyes shut loosely. "They are a prideful lot."

"THEN the last two attackers were made known and the train stopped. The end, pretty much." Nodding his head once, Oliver turned before the detective had a chance to question him any further. "Now, where did that Lumi girl run off to..."

Puck didn't speak right away – he was too busy wiggling his fingers and pulling faces, stretching jaw and popping eyes to the limits of his geistly abilities. "Ahhh. Stretchin' face, that’s more like it – what? Oh, yesyes, all about the foxies. S'what one girlie called 'em, see."

He rubbed his nose. "Was just mindin' me own business, waitin' for dinner and then CRASHBANG! Skelly bones ev'rywhere!" He clapped his hands loudly to indicate the sound. "Then SWISH! witchyboy got all scratched up like paper-cuttins. Some bookboy – we tossed 'im out, or well t'others did really. Didn’t say anything neither way, me – just a wee geistie, knows nothin' 'bout foxies an' moles."

Puck paused for a long moment, thinking hard. "Then... girlie what called 'em foxies went WHOMP... and then oooh, ooh the fightin' we had!" His grin broadened. "Cookie-witch went after t'water-horsey! Crumbs everywhere! Ev'ryone movin' about an' screamin'... wonderful..." Were those tears glinting faintly in the poltergeist's eyes? "Cookies smelled s'good, I had t'help out... then next thing tasty cookies went POOF! an' BAM! I got pumpakins on me head and all. But then I’s all comfy cozy tucked up like... nice an' safe and snuggy. Mmmm."

The poltergeist shrugged. "Then I's in the comfy cozy car, all tucked up w'pumpakins to chew on, no fear! Others came in, then last wee foxie put down and here we is." Puck blinked at the detectives one last time. "C'n... c'n I have my pumpkins back? Wanted t'make pie. Mmmm." He grinned widely, almost as widely as the jack-o-lantern that had previously obscured his geistly noggin.

{Posting here although Fauste was in the injured cabin! 482 words; thank you for the event! It was awesome! <3}

Fauste heaved a relieved sigh as he took a sweeping glance at his fellow students. His grip on the handle of his suitcase tightened - he had retrieved it from the main cabin soon after he was healed by the FEAR specialists. Walking over to a waiting detective, he nodded in greeting.

"Um, well... It all started after the train entered a tunnel - weirdly enough, it was dark although the cabin was supposed to have working lights," The Necromancer frowned lightly, "There was then this 'clang' in several places... Next thing I know, the lights were back on and there were pieces of a skeleton scattered all around... That was the first casualty."

He paused briefly, wondering if the detective was following his story; he then remembered that the detective was with the Bogeyman and that they must be professionals. Quickly, he continued, "So, the train host asked us to single out fox - um, I mean, attacker - suspects to move to another cabin... We figured that the attacker probably attacked while the lights were out; the second victim - a warlock, I think - appeared with papercuts all over her body after the lights went off and on. However, the third victim - a shaman - was completely drained of energy before the lights went out..."

He then sounded quite perplexed as he continued, "Haku was then voted out and moved..." He sighed, muttering under his breath as he looked down at his feet, "I told them... At least he's alright now..."

Looking back up at the detective, he cleared his throat, "A-Anyway, the next time the lights went off and on again, we saw two attackers attacking each other. It was one of the witches and that water horse. I tried to help pull the water horse back, but they were both so strong... Even with a group of us pulling them away from each other, it took a long time to finally do it. However, I kind of... Blacked out after." He finished awkwardly.

"When I woke up, I was in the cabin for causalities. My body ached all over," He rubbed the back of his head, where a bump once was, "I can't remember their names, but apparently, another boy and myself were injured by the water horse, three others were injured by the witch and tiger boy was injured by a third fo- sorry, force of habit - attacker." His frown deepened, "Then another witch was attacked, followed by a ghost and a demon..." He almost winced, remembering how the first two girls had cried before wondering if Lumidee was fine.

"Anyway, that's all I know... I only found out who the third - and last - attacker was after the train stopped... Um, hoped this is of use?" He then bowed his head before quickly heading off, glad that he could finally be alone.

"We were stuck on a train full of crazies." Kashiyoru glanced downward at the short Detective. "First the skeleton was attacked, then some kid got cut and then two idiots started fighting and it took all of us to pin them down. Betty and... Breic. Breic knocked out two students and Betty, that b***h, was the reason Jack was taken away." He growled. "Along with another student."

"Anyway," He shrugged "Then two more females where hurt, Kasumi claimed to have visions, and Kentarou turned out to be another crazy." Kashi had had enough of this, there was a sexy young man somewhere around here and Kashiyoru hadn't given up on him just yet.

"Alright, outta my way. I have someone I need to find." He pushed past the detective then paused and looked back.

"Faint?" He tilted his head back as if to think. "Nope. Sorry, I don't know any 'Faint'." With that, he turned, grinned and headed toward a sexy pair of legs he knew connected themselves to an even sexier male.

Well, that was over, thank goodness. Arriving at the station, followed by a clutter of cats, he heard one of the bogeymen over the crowd, his eyebrows raising as they asked everyone what had happened.

"Oh, I'll tell you what happened. None of us got anything to eat." he started, a little bit of indignation coming out. "It was all delicious looking, we were just sitting around, a gaggle of people enjoying the company of each other, and then, just. . . wam!" he exclaimed a little, with Zwei kittering and replying angrily on his shoulder, feeling him totally. Taking a moment to calm down, he continued. "I was accosted with a femur bone, which clattered and made a lot of noise, and well. . . started the whole thing."

"Everything from. . . exploding skeletons, to tons of paper cuts, which had an innocent inugami sent to the accused pile - where is he anyway - and a fight broke out, and a bunch of us got witched." he ranted. "Oh - yes! The fight. Those two, that fat witch and the waterhorse, they went at it like . . . well, a witch and a waterhorse. It took about seven of us on either of them - you'd be surprised how much strength one with a killing desire can have when you need to have seven people holding you down and you're still advancing."

"Anyways, it was pretty crazy, not to mention, I had these . . . feelings. Constantly about people. Too pointed to be considered coincidental. I think the monster lady - Kasumi was it? Felt the same way, but she had visions instead. Is that permanent?" he murmured, outloud, before shaking his head.

"Anyways, again, that was where my journey ended in the main cabin - I spent the rest of the time stuck in a pumpkin, which is horrible smelling after a few hours - tending to the injured and feeble feeling in the injured cabin." he stated, looking around, happy to see peripherally once again, no pumpkin inners. "I heard a little bit of scrapping before we left, did they catch who it was? Also. . ." he said, before leaning in, hoping to be very discrete about what he was going to say next. "Did anyone look into Kashiyoru, the fox spirit? I had this. . . odd feeling about him. Something put me off about him. One of those feelings. . ." he strayed, before standing straight.

"But that's about it really. I'm sorry if that didn't help any in your investigation, but I was sort of stuck out of the race about midway. I hope I helped though." he finished, before looking around. "If you don't mind, me and my gaggle are going to go ahead, we need to settle in our room." With that, he picked up his bag and sitar, nodded softly and walked off, hoping to find a familiar face from the train, the excitement of finally being of the academy starting to wash the frustration and worry from the train.

(500 on the dot. Thank you so much!)

Ahikiko grimaced at the detective, "You know you should be ashamed of yourself there should have been a bogeyman on the train to begin with." The warlock huffed then shuffled his feet. "Anyways, We were all waiting for the ..uh..manwoman well the whatever it was to bring us food, when Bam!" Ahikiko jumped to give emphases. " The lights went off and 'something' went flying well low and behold when the lights came on, there was a skeleton student all over the place."

Ahikiko grumbled at the next part he had to tell. " Ah so I accused a few girls of doing it after the host came out and accused a boy, cause well the girls where gaining up on him...anyways I bet I made that fat witch mad cause the lights went out again and when they came on it was me that was hit next. Thousands of stinging cuts much like paper cuts." The warlock sighed and kicked at the ground.

"After that I can only assume the rest of the cart didn't know head from tails as more students poured into the injured cabin, then after a few came in we found out the fat witch Betty and the water horse where the ones getting people." Ahikiko ruffled his ash colored hair, "If you ask me ....there is still something around for you guys to find..." With that the boy walked off grumbling.

"Everything seemed normal until kids started getting attacked. The lights would go off, then BAM! one was down", Andrugora began, nervously running a hand through her hair. She had still been shaking at the thought that she'd been right for once. "As things progressed, things got weirder and weirder and scarier, too. It was really scary when the two kids started kicking at each other and took out several kids with them. And then this last one when the guy I had been sitting next to for the longest time was hacking at that girl." A shudder passed through her and she hugged herself. "I....I'm sorry. It was all such a blur, I don't remember much", Andrugora told the officer. "Can I go now?", she asked urgently. She wanted to get into her luggage and dig out her music and lay down safely inside the school.
