Rosie beamed up at him, ran up and gave him a hug around one of his legs, then hurried out of the room and disappeared down the hall. Quite obviously eager to get herself fixed up and ready for bed.

The clown walked out after her, stopping to survey the current situation in the main room; he wanted to see how Tink and Raider were doing after their little talk.

As Joker had come out, Death Raider had ducked around the corner and into another hallway. Rosie had already hurried past them, and he was hurrying after her. Doing what he could to keep her in his line of sight now.
Tinkerer had his computer system on 'autopilot', and was digging around in one of the many boxes of parts and equipment he had in the corner. He had a few wires and such pulled out and sitting on the table, and was now going through a few smaller boxes filled with computer chips and other electronic hardware. Getting all the spare parts he needed to wire a multitude of cameras up to two different locations.

Joker couldn't help but chuckle at Death Raider; at least he's not just moping. Joker took the most interest in Tinkerer's work. It was amazing to him that he HAD an 'autopilot' for his computer; the clown had just assumed that if Tink wasn't working on it personally, it didn't get done. "Why don't you us set it on 'auto' more often?"

"It always get set to auto when I have to step away from the computer." he replied as he continued to shift through his boxes. "But....when I'm controlling one of the decoys or robots out in the city, It's best that I'm here. If something happens, an alarm will go off so I can get back to the computer. The auto pilot will take care of the situation as best it can, but it's best if I manually control what I need to handle the problem. Especially the Red Hood robot."

"And while you handle it admirably, I STILL don't like that one." Joker wasn't fond of someone else using something that was so close to his origins... A COUPLE of his origins, actually.

Tinkerer cleared his throat nervously. "It's, uh.....it's the quickest and easiest one I could make to get outside when you have to go out. Have something that any of the heroes will think is you on one side of town, while you're on the other. The one that's supposed to work as your double still needs.....work on the face. It's still too robotic looking. Once it's complete, I'll have it out as the decoy instead. The Hood will be deactivated and never used again."

"It'd better not," the clown said with rather more emphasis than neccesary. But immediately after, his mood lightened. "How's the increased security coming along, since I see you're working on it now?"

"I should have everything I need. Going to get the computer hear set up, then go around and place some of these in every room of the house." he said, motioning towards a rather small object sitting on the desk beside him. Part of it was very wirey and computerized, and the other part was a small, very round lens. It almost looked like a large marble attached to the machine. "I have a larger version hooked up outside, monitoring the street in front of the building. The smaller ones haven't been tested yet, but viewing a room should be no problem. I can set them up in the corner of the ceiling, they should be pretty discreet. I'll set up the one in Rosie's room after she's asleep."

"No, no bedrooms," Joker said quickly, "We'll have no kiddie flicks here. What's wrong with you?" Joker's expression turned into a glare, a dark stare that revealed every ounce of the clown's murderous potential. The very THOUGHT of something that could be used in such a manner...

"N-no. You said to watch the inside of the house. I thought you wanted the entire house to be under watch." Tinkerer replied, his tone growing nervous at the look Joker was giving him.

"And I thought you had common sense," the Joker responded, exasperated, "But I forgot: common sense isn't common." The clown held his right arm straight down and flicked his wrist. A knife sprung out of his sleeve, which he caught with practised ease, and held up in front of Tinkerer's face. "That room is the one place that Rosie has to herself. You will not defile that."

Tinkerer swallowed as his eyes rested on the blade. "Understood, sir...." he replied, nervousness clear in his voice. "I'll leave her room alone."

"Excellent!" the clown exclaimed, suddenly bright and cheery. He bent his arm upwardsat the elbow, and dropped the knife back in his sleeve, from which an audible click was heard as the launching mechanism reset itself. "You may continue." And then Joker continued to Rosie's room, to wait until she was ready to be tucked in.

As Joker walked away, Tinkerer sighed audiably and sank back into his chair. ....he should have just stuck with that technical support job.
It didn't take Rosie long to be ready for bed. By the time Joker reached her room, footsteps were bounding down the hall towards him. Death Raider called out something, but his tone was too winded to make out from this distance.
A moment later, Rosie whipped around the corner and very nearly ran into Joker. She paused, blinked, then looked up at him with a bright smile. The hair around her face still damp and clinging to her cheeks after the washing, and the pants of her purple pajama's sitting backwards on her from being hastily tossed on.
