I was thinking of making the lanterns filled with elven wine...but okay....

Ahh, how amazing it would be to have a city carved into the mountain.
At least, until the slightest tremor comes along and the whole mountain collapses due to being hollowed out. xd

Well, I had imagined it a bit bigger, but that's alright. It's not really a city, anyway; mostly just a relay to the Castle. I'm still not sure how big Mandor is altogether, but I'm thinking probably the size of China, but with a medieval England feel to it. (medieval fantasy, actually. historic medieval times were horrible....)
Alrighty, I'll get started on a post! ^^

hehe, the town was partially inspired by a book I was reading and although it's set in a medieval fantasy world they kept the atmosphere quite realistic...so there's always a mention of destinct...smells in the air and alot of mention about bad teeth and stuff which makes it kind of hard to read some times sweatdrop
Author is David Keck, I believe he's american...not sure though. The second book to the trilogy just came out...on monday^^ atleast in egrmany.

Anyone want to describe the courtyard? That's probably where most of the people are waiting.
Mandor Castle Town gets a lot of traffic going up to and coming down from Mandor Castle, so there'd be plenty of accommodations. A party of errand-riders this large will have sparked a great deal of activity. There will have been plenty of preparations, starting about the afternoon of the day (this day) when the Errand of Dragons Rising was announced. People anticipate a lot of profitable business, at least for the inns and stables.

C'mon, you guys, let your imagination run wild! biggrin
I want to inspire each of you to describe something in detail almost each time you post.
Description is such a joy of writing, and there are many ways you can go about it. You can start with details and work your way out, or you can start at the big picture and work your way in. You could describe a person, an animal, or there's always always the surroundings. In role-play, the more description there is, the better, because it allows us all to see things clearly from multiple angles.
I want this to be more than just another role-play. This should be a learning experience, and it should be fun (which it is, at least for me. ^^ you guys are great).
So yeah, give it a shot. biggrin I know you all have images in your head of what things in the role-play look like. I want to be able to see them for myself. whee

Or hey, Lise, you could even give us a hint about Halo, if you want. ^^ Maybe a little setup for him finding out what's going on. You wouldn't need another character profile, really, since he's basically included with Kara. biggrin
