Orion rolled his eyes. After another ten minutes he stopped. He lead them into their base. Which was actually a house surprisingly enough.
"Come in. Try to keep it down."
"Orion? Andros?"

Erebus walked in. "Summer! My love Where have you been? I haven't seen you in forever!" He grabbed her and gave her a hug.

Summer's eyes grew wide. "Wha...? Huh...? Hmmm...? Uh...okay..." Orion and Cal headed to the bedroom toward the back.
"Is the baby asleep?"
It was nearly an hour before Andros returned. The boys were sitting about talking and eating by now. Fully clothed now. Persephone was in her walker zooming about. She kept following Erebus and watching him like he was the most fascinating thing she had ever seen.

Erebus poked the baby's nose, something he did with his own kids. "Hello there beautiful. Whats your name? You are one of the cutest things I ever saw.."

The baby backed away. Hiding under the large table. She waited till Erebus' back was turned then she moved close to him again. Summer smiled.
"Sit. Have a seat. Persephone! Hey! No, no, come here Princess." Summer went over and scooped up the little girl. Orion pushed a plate piled with chicken wings on it toward Erebus.

Erebus raised an eyebrow at Orion pushed a plate of chicken wings towards him. "I would have figured that you would be a vegetarian like your dad or something like that." He took a few wings.

"Pffft! I'm not eating rabbit food all my life! My favorite food is beef jerky." Orion was going to town on the wings. They were fall off the bone tender. Summer shook her head.
"Orion has meat with every meal. In fact he would prefer if the meal was meat with a side of meat and followed up with a desert of meat." The baby was watching E again.
"Mom....don't be silly! For desert it would be cake!"
"Yeah be reasonable." Cal added as he stuffed a handful of nuts and chips in his mouth.
"Mmmmm....salt!"

Erebus laughed. "Thats good to know. Now if only you could get your dad to see things like that then we would have everything made." He joked with the boy. He looked to Cal. "Salt makes people bloat here."
He looked at the baby. "Hello gorgeous! Can you talk yet?"

"Meat is protein. Makes you strong." Orion looked up as Andros groaned.
"Disgusting....meat eater...." Cal looked at Erebus. "It's salty and delicious!" The baby covered her face and then peeked out. Summer laughed. "She is shy. She is starting to talk a little. She is quiet though."

Erebus laughed again. "I agree with Orion there. Plus it tastes good too." Erebus looked at his brother and raised an eyebrow. "If you say so but when you're twice your normal size dont complain. It will be your own fault little brother."
Erebus covered his face with his hands a mimiced the little girl. "I see you silly quiet it girl."

"Oooo!" The little girl squealed excitedly. Then covered her face again. It was clear she liked this game and knew how to play it. Cal slurped up his chocolate milk.
"Why would salt make me fat? It's delicious. Can I have some lemon juice on these chips?"
Andros shook his head. "Fat asses...." He looked toward Erebus. "The ship is gone. I destroyed it as best as I could. Salvaged what I could. E but I think you should look at some of the photos...I managed to get a sample of the thing that hit the ship. It's strange....not a normal looking rock or soil sample. It looks a lot like....remember that planet that our great great grandfathers would speak of? They said they destroyed it because the whole race was a threat....you remember the story? Well these samples....it seems to be what they described...." He pointed toward the back of the house.
"Our lab is that way."

Erebus looked at Andros when he called them fat asses. "I am not a fat a** thank you very much." He shook his butt for effect.
He got up and stole a few more chicken wings from Orion's plate. "I'll be back to play little bitty one." He followed the direction that Andros pointed. When he was out of ear shot of the others he began talking again. "So it seems we're all in trouble again if this is what our great grandfather's talked about, doesn't it?

"It can't be though right? I mean...they there eliminated. Their homeworld destroyed. We wiped them out. This isn't good though. Abduction, trafficking, harvesting of body parts, enslavement. These guys....they are worse then humans." Andros was rubbing his forehead.
"I don't understand what else it could be hough. The soil and rock specimens. It has never been discovered elsewhere. It was unique to their planet."

Erebus did not like the slam against humans. After all his wife and children were human. "I think you mean yeerks Andros.. Humans aren't so bad. Some of them yea but not all of them." He looked at the samples. "Unless... This is a far out there theory but it could be possible that these things had another planet. Like you said abduction and tafficking... It seems likely that they could have easily taken over another planet by force and if they are so close to Earth... then it would seem that they have found another planet to abduct creatures from and traffick them around the universe or... they mean to take this planet as theirs as well. Like I said these are theories. Not my best given the little information we have but something that we can work with until we get more information on the situation. But for now we will have to stay alert."

"The waste they put out....that's what makes the samples like this. I agree Erebus. It is possible they have another planet which is what is so damn frightening. No one knows how many escaped. How many have reproduced. How many were out in space." He sighed.
"Worse then humans Erebus. Just because we know a handful of decent humans doesn't mean they make up the majority. Humans are...they need to be saved from their selves. They are even killing their planet and have killed off many of the other species that once lived on this beautiful dying planet. Now I know we have human families now but if I could take them away from here. From all this. I would. In a heartbeat. I don't trust other humans to do what is right. Something good." Andros shook his head.
"As sad as it is..."
