Zane Hajime "Listen to what your taught..." ____________________________________________________
"Maybe you're not so worthless after all," Zane stated as he tossed the young boy a headband. "Congratulations, you are now a Konoha shinobi. And to award you, you get this water scroll that teaches water jutsus," Zane told him as he tossed him a scroll as well as his headband. "This is the last time you'll see me, so go and train and complete missions for your village in order to participate in the chuunin exams. You don't have much time so get going."

Jubei.
Jubei didn't like being all alone in the academy. Heck, he hated being all alone in general, but it was worse in the academy. He could not specifically name a reason why he didn't like being alone here, it just felt... Uncomfortable. He couldn't shake the feeling of always being watched by hard, loveless eyes at all times, but he supposed it was to be expected. After all, he was in the world of the ninja now, and he would always be watched from the shadows. That's what ninja did, unless they were going to murder someone, then they performed a few handsigns and blew an opponent into a smoldering heap of ash. Jubei did not want that to happen, which happened to be the reason he was hanging out in the academy, hoping for a teacher to show up. He was tired of being a lowly academy student, he wanted to progress already and start learning the jutsu that would take him to the top. Something, anything, that would help him carve his name in the ninja world.
Hence, the reason he was here, and being quite redundant. Jubei let out a sigh as he sat in the empty room, cleaning his nails with a kunai knife. It was dangerous, sure, but life was dangerous. He was a big, hairy, angry-looking kid, he could handle any opponent at his current level. Maybe a Gennin. Anything over that was asking for a quick death and a shallow grave. Jubei really hoped no one would come in here just to kill him. Not only would that be rude, but it would ruin his day. Not to mention that it might raise some alarm that the only member of the Satetsu bloodline, Jubei himself, was slaughtered. He was the only member in the entire village, something that had been kept very quiet, and made him somewhat more important than other children. Not enough to warrant any special attention, but he might be protected a little better. Or maybe I'll be expected to shred someone by myself. Expectations suck like that, Jubei mused, upon this and his... Unique abilities.
He couldn't wait to shred some faces.
Which was why he was still here. Waiting for a teacher.

Kage Konoha | Hyouton | Random NPC Extraordinaire "How I get talked into doing this every week, I'll never know, but I swear, the next time it happens, someone's getting a foot straight up their a**." walking down the halls of the Academy, Kage was on her way to the classroom in order to examine the next round of Academy students who had requested to be made Genin. Being in none too good of a modd about it, she wore a depressed, or rather annoyed expression on her face, as if she was being asked to babysit. "HI swear, we have chuunin for a reason, why the hell can't they be running this crap?... I've got better things to do." Standing outside the classroom, Kage lowered her head for a second in frustration, trying to calm herself before opening the door and walking in with her head down at first, barely even looking at the students as she began her speech.
"Alright kiddos, I know you're all super excited to become Genin, but let's try to be organized about this so we can get out of here for lunch. So who's first?" Finally looking up, Kage seemed genuinely shocked and surprised to see only one student sitting in the large classroom, looking back at her in an awkward silence as she suddenly looked rather pissed. "ONE student? You're the only one... wow, well ain't that just a kick in the a**." Immediately brining her palm to her forehead, Kage looked utterly distraught as she rubbed her eyes as if to say she had a headache before finally continuing on in amuch more calm, but somewhat defeated and bored voice..."Alright, well then, let's get this painful show on the road... Introduce yourself please, and tell me why you want to become a Genin, and what your main element is."
 "I'm here when I need to be."

Jubei.
Jubei didn't have to perform proper hygine and wait for long, as some blue-haired woman entered the room and asked him to introduce himself. Normally, he would be a tad wary and even more surprised that an older woman was talking to him, but this might be a godsend. He had been waiting for a teacher to shop up when, lo and behold, some random woman shows up and asks him to get the show on the road. Jubei, initially wary, just shrugged his shoulders and gave up the thinking and suspicion. He could do without it for a little while. He put the kunai back in his leg holster, brushed himself off, and began the arduous task of introducing himself. "My name is Jubei Kurotsuchi. I want to become a Genin to, well, show that I can pass the academy. No real other reason than that, really. My main element is Doton. Earth, everything to do with rocks and all that," Jubei said, trying to keep his tone from falling flat and bored like this womans.
She could have shown a little more enthusiasm for her job.
"So, who are you? I don't think we've ever met." Jubei asked, a little curious about the blue-haired teacher that had shown up. It wasn't that important, he could just get this over with, but he wanted to show a shred of politeness and show some interest in his teacher. Maybe she would respect him a little, or something along those lines. Or so he believed. Maybe she'll just tell me to mind my own business and continue with the lesson. At least I tried. He thought as he got out of his chair, because standing was more comfortable right now. He had been sitting for a while, and his posterior was starting to groan in protest. Knowing that he needed that posterior region, Jubei obliged.
And so he waited.

Kage Konoha | Hyouton | Random NPC Extraordinaire "Who am I?" Kage responded indigently, "Well, we're not really here to discuss it, but my name is Kage. I'm normally out and about on missions, but every now and then I come here to test the academy Students for their graduations. Sufficed to say, I'm qualified for the position. But we're not here to assess me, I'm here to assess you." walking up to the board, Kage scribbled a few things onto it with the available chalk and walked away to reveal the three basic jutsu that every graduating student should know and backed away.
"For starters, let's have you come down here and show me that you can use at least 2 out of the 3 of these techniques. I assume that you would also know the prerequisite elemental techniques as well, or you wouldn't be here. But, for now let's take it one step at a time." Kage then waited, her voice showing itself to be slightly less impatient as she crossed her arms in front of her and leaned her back up against the wall. Her sudden change in demeanor could be taken in many ways, but despite her outward dislike for this job, she knew it's importance and was very serious in properly evaluating students to see if they were worthy of moving o the the next step. Leaning up against the wall, her eyes were now focused on Jubei, watching his every move as she waited for him to demonstrate his knowledge of the basic jutsu.
 "I'm here when I need to be."

Jubei.
"Well, it's nice toy know your name. It would have been stupid to call you lady this whole time. Anyway, yeah I can do all that academy jutsu. Give me a second." Came his reply, his tone a little lighter than before. He was getting his chance to do something fun, and that always lifted his spirits, especially if doing it was both fun and advanced his own goals. In this situation, it advanced his goal of becoming a Genin. Jubei took a second to pop his joints and stretch, all the while remembering the hand seals necessary for the jutsu he would be performing. He figured a nice, easy display of Bushin and Kawarimi no jutsu, something he had done before to impress all the academy chicks. It never impressed anyone, but that was besides the point. Calmly and slowly, Jubei walked down towards the chalkboard and began making the necessary hand signs for the Bushin no jutsu. "For my first jutsu, Bushin no jutsu," He said, and with the last hand seal and an application of chakra, Jubei had an exact, perfect copy of himself standing to his right. Simple enough, nothing too complex in that jutsu. He shrugged and ordered his clone to step back a bit, since this next trick needed some space between the two.
"And for the next jutsu..." He began to say, when his clone tossed a kunai knife at his throat and sliced it wide open, scoring a seemingly fatal blow on the original. However, once the kinau had sliced flesh, the "original" Jubei dissipated in a puff of smoke while the kunai knife embedded itself in the wall. Jubei, the real one, was standing in his clones former position, a small smirk on his face. "Kawarimi no jutsu. Body switch. What else might I do, Instructor Kage?" Jubei asked, his smirk fading as he switched to a semi-serious demeanor. He didn't know what she would have him do next, and he didn't really know any elemental jutsu. "I don't know any of the elemental perquisite jutsu. Do you happen to have a doton scroll handy?" He asked, a bit hesitant to voice the question, but knowing that it would be better to suck it up and do it. He was here to learn, not mess around with an undeserved sense of superiority and greatness.
If he were great, he wouldn't be a student.

Kage Konoha | Hyouton | Random NPC Extraordinaire "Seriously?... you came to be tested and you don't already know your two prerequisite elemental jutsu? C'mon now child, why are you wasting my time. The requirements for the test are clearly stated on the boards, you should have already been prepared for this." Not letting any part of her annoyance to be hidden, Kage sighed heavily and then moved to the desk, opening a drawer as she took out a scroll and tossed it to Jubei, assuming that he would catch it.
"I suppose not all is lost however. You performed those two jutsu just fine, so I can see you have at least SOME aptitude. why don't you show me what you're capable of and learn that jutsu. if you can perform it properly, I'll consider that portion of the test complete despite the fact that you didn't come prepared. I believe you'll find the floorboard in the corner of the room to be loose... containing a few mounds of dirt below it. Go over there and see what you can do."
{{The scroll thrown to you: }}
{{Doton: Bunshin no Jutsu (Earth Release: Earth Clone Skill) Description: This jutsu creates one single clone out of the ground. Its defense is incredible, and it's very powerful, but lacks speed. Two hits will destroy the bunshin. }}
{{The regular Bunshin no jutsu has no substance... it's a genjutsu illusion and can't attack or do anything else that would trigger your kawarimi.}}
