Thanks, all.

Sadly, I do become verbose when ecstatic... moreso in print than in person, of course.

But I can become frightfully dull in person when I get really excited.

Ach.. not sadly I think, it's nice to meet the romantic poet in you once in a while Harbone. And congrats on the job.

Con-rats... you with a new job and I am trying to decide when to put in my 2 week notice... I have had enough and I just cannot take it any more... evil

There is a lady at work that owes me $175... I know if I quit before she pays me I will never get it back, but I do not want to stick around there longer than I have to. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place...

That's a rough situation to be in, Lil Jo, but certainly one I've experienced way too many times. It usually takes support from everyone I know to keep me from ditching a job when I feel like that.

So, I'd never begrudge anyone leaving any job for any reason short of murder or llama abuse.

Usually I quit because I figure I'm due for the sack, anyway.
(I'm sure that's not your situation Lil Jo!)

Are you planning to look for more work after this, Lil, or do you get a little time off to work on your own projects? I think we all wish we could survive on the latter!

Ok... there are a few reasons why I am quitting, but the biggest to are the person that sits across from me... she makes the workplace a hostle environment, example; if I get a call for her and ask her if I can transfer the call to her she will just stare me down (like she wants to kill me) and say no, and if I write down the person's name and number she will not take it from me. The woman that rides with me spent the whole ride home today telling me how much she hates that person and how she would quit too if she had somewhere else to go...
The other reason is because of the company itself. There is too many changes since we broke away from Honeywell. We just moved into a new building and they did a very poor job of planning for space. I have a picture of my work space below, the 7 computers are mine, the computer towers come out beyond the desk top and have this small black box attached to the front of them. I have asked many times to have them moved because of the bruises (bottom picture) I get on my legs from hitting them because I have to slide back and forth to run all the computers at once. Also the fact that with half of my computers I have no leg space and to work at them I have to sit at a horrible angle and that is giving me horrible back aches. I had to deal with this for 4 weeks of bruises that would start to heal on the weekends then starting all over on monday. Back aches so bad that I could hardly stand... My manager keep saying something would be done, but until I sent pictures to the company president and requiring that they do something now nothing was done... I just got it fixed yesterday, amaizing how easy it was when you go above the person above you..

*Hugs for Lil* I'm so sorry about your job situation. Having dealt with difficult coworkers and bad working conditions, while also trying to raise kids with the ever-increasing cost of living, actually quitting is a tough decision. Given the current climate in the office I work in, I've debated quitting several times over the last few years, more so in the last few months... I'm now putting in applications for other locations. In the meantime, the bills still have to get paid and yadayadayada... sending my thoughts your way as I'm hearing your pain.

I feel your pain, too - that goes to both Lils... *hugs* I came home early from work today, after an incident which brought to the surface my feelings about the organisation, that I've been bottling up for months. I don't know where I go from here... well, yes, I do... back to work on Friday (I'd already booked Thursday as a day off, so I have a breathing space tomorrow, thankfully) and just get on with it - as you say, bills have to be paid, etc. But if I had any choice at all, I'd probably just never go back... send them an email or something. Must start buying Lottery tickets... (only half joking... >.< )

well well, i've not received less than 15 for any post so far tonight, sometimes getting as much as 25..

not sure what to make of this, i hate to think what sort of effect it will have on prices in the Marketplace neutral

The announcements tells about the increase in gold earnings... but it also tells about more ways to stop botting which will help the market place.

My, I haven't looked that closely. Don't think I've been quite that lucky though, still getting between 2 and 8 gold per post crying Gaia has it in for me, I'm sure!! Mind you, I think I'm getting gold for surfing more often, so that's something different. smile

well since the gold earning changed last time i've been using a different account to post each day, so all of mine are at their maximum gold earning potential, if you only have the one account you do seem to suffer earnings wise now confused

Ah, that may explain it. My poor old mind can only manage one account, otherwise I just lose track of.....er....hmmm.... *wanders off in a daze*

I'm afraid no matter what they attempt to do, the MP is always gonna be full of greed. Well, barring re-releasing items which they promised they would never do. sweatdrop
