Madam Usagi
Madam Usagi was always amazed with Othello’s personality changes. It was a bit spooky to be honest, but impressive nonetheless. The Madam herself would often request palm readings from the boy because it honestly tickled her pink. She would always ask if her love life was going to make a positive change, even though she wasn’t very interested in that part of her life anyway. Othello always seemed more than willing to read her palm, even if it were the third time that week and she knew nothing had changed. She just loved seeing his little face light up when he worked his magic. Though at the moment he looked quite serious, and very much ‘in the zone.’ Othello tended to get that way when he entered his little world, and it almost looked like it pained him to do so, like he could physically feel the other’s emotions. The Madam, of course, wouldn’t know of such things, but she tried to be perceptive. It almost ignited her instincts to smother the boy in maternal protectiveness. However, she knew this was a ‘normal’ state for Othello and her trying to help would only disrupt his energy flow (or something), so she would manage to contain herself. It also amused her that Sonnen seemed to be on the edge of his mind. Of course the camera view was from behind Sonnen so you could see Othello’s person more clearly, so all there was to see was the back of the man’s torso, but it also showed his hands gripping the table like a lifeline. The Madam felt some regret for showing Sonnen’s emotional side to someone unbeknownst to him, but hopefully Lorentz was more interested in Othello than Sonnen’s odd behavior.
This was when The Madam looked to Lorentz to see his reaction. This was what she was quite good at, she internally gloated. She could always tell whether a Client would be buying or not by their body language. This meant she also knew when a Client would choose a Companion out of pity or a feeling of responsibility, but of course she would keep that to herself; it wasn’t very kind to tell a Companion that they were only chosen out of pity. But in this case, it seemed the boy was thoroughly interested in Othello’s act. His eyes were inquisitive and his eyes looked engaged, which was more impressed than she had ever seen a Client while watching her Othello. Oh, good! It looked like Othello would finally be getting his first real Client. She knew Lorentz hadn’t said it yet, but she was already imagining the two and their blooming friendship. They were both young and boyish, and she could see them doing so many things together: discussing religion, hanging out in the parlor playing video games (that was what teenagers did, right?), and of course, Othello reading his palm and explaining everything in minute detail, breaking down every step and process for Lorentz. She could tell he would be the kind who wanted to know everything about a subject before he moved on to something else, which she could appreciate; and she knew Othello would only be too happy to explain and indulge in his questions until the cows came home. Oh, they made such a cute Client-Companion friendship! She would definitely need their picture together. Yes, this was quite a good day for young Othello.
…All right, a really good day for him, apparently. What… what was this? She had been basking in her fantasies and the relief she felt after Othello switched back to his normal, energized state, and then Sonnen… what? This didn’t make sense. Sonnen was… oh dear. Now she felt really bad about letting Lorentz see this video feed. Not only was he exposed to Sonnen’s stressed side, but now his out-of-his-mind state. Really, if someone had told her that today Sonnen would be crawling across a table to lock lips with Othello — very enthusiastically, she might add — then she would have laughed until she cried. Really, Sonnen, on a table? Doing something impulsive, like suddenly kissing someone they had otherwise showed nothing but grudging acceptance for? Preposterous. But apparently not. In fact… watching this was making The Madam a little pink about the cheeks. She really should turn the TV off now. However, her hand didn’t even twitch towards the TV controls. All she could think about was the fact that this was completely not Sonnen and that Othello really didn’t seem to mind this. Not even kind of. He looked a bit scared, but more in a ‘I’m not sure what to do’ kind of fear more than ‘afraid for my life’ fear that Sonnen usually invoked. So.. did… Sonnen… like Othello? Oh, life was so confusing. People were intentionally misleading just to confuse her, she was sure. Sigh.
Finally gathering herself, The Madam finally turned the TV off using the touch-pad that was built into the settee’s arm. It wasn’t so much because it was a lovey moment that Sonnen would probably die if he knew that she had watched, but more because of what happened after. Those intense, almost sorrowful looks in the boys’ eyes made her realize that this was not meant for her eyes — not when it was such a serious moment for the two of them. Maybe they would work something out. Hell, if the became lovers then that would make her life a helluva lot easier; having to deal with those two at each other’s necks all the time would tire anyone out. But now it was time to deal with the consequences of her actions of dishonestly revealing that footage to Lorentz and having… embarrassingly unsatisfactory results.
“I’m quite sorry, Mister Lorentz, for that… display just now. I didn’t know my Companions were so affectionate!” A tinkering laugh to try and blow it off so hopefully Lorentz wouldn’t feel too awkward afterwards. Well, it appeared that ship had sailed and burned anyhow, if the way he was huddling into his scarf again was any indicator. Oh, she dearly hoped he hadn’t decided to leave Guilty Pleasures because of the unprofessional behavior shown on the TV just now. That would be just terrible, after he had shown interest in Othello and everything. Just when she thought her dreams would be shattered, she was awarded when Lorentz meekly asked for the boy’s file. She could have jumped up and down clapping, but contained her glee to a warm smile.
“Oh yes, of course. I’ll have those brought right out for you.” With a command sent through her earpiece, a servant was sent on his way to bring that file over. Typically she sent for an abbreviated file that hid more confidential information about the Companion, such as the name, birthday, age and so forth, if the Client hadn’t decided definitely on the Companion. Technically Lorentz had not decided, since he hadn’t said he did, so she really should have sent for the abbreviated file, but somehow knew he would be keeping Othello. A gut instinct. Of course the Companion had control over everything that went into their file, so they technically didn’t have to include a real name or anything. Some chose to so they would have a closer relationship with their Client. When the servant arrived, she thanked him for his service and sent him on his way. Ever the hostess, Usagi took the disk from the coffee table and handed it personally to Lorentz, awaiting his usage of it. In the meantime, she flirted with a few more fantasies in her head.

The young woman jumped a little when Solera started giggling, and the soft exclamation of ‘Sasha’ confused her. Well, this one was going to be another strange one, she supposed. They got a weirdo Client every so often, and this one appeared to be the one of the month. When Solera asked for that appointment to be set up, of course she complied. She had a program that catalogued all the Companion’s and of course The Madam’s calendars, and she could just jot in a date for their first meeting. Oh! Then she remembered: There was to be a ball on the 25th. It was a Halloween ball, since it was so close to the date, but since Halloween fell on a work day that week, most parties were held on the weekend. That would certainly be a good avenue for a meeting; it was public, and the atmosphere would be light since it was a costume-required party. The perfect ice breaker. Companions were invited to come, and she knew Sonnen made as many of these events as he could, so it was sure to be a good date for a meeting.
“Of course,” she finally replied, pulling something like a PDA out of her pocket. It was very flat like a iPod, but about as wide as a slice of bread. She tapped her fingers around on it, flipping through schedules and plans and… ah ha! Yes, Emerald Company Picnic, a Halloween extravaganza. Open to all who come with a costume. With a smile, she tapped her finger on the ‘print’ button, and the little disc-like PDA thing ejected a business card-sized piece of paper with the date, location and information about the picnic. She handed it to Solera before pocketing her PDA. “If this is unsatisfactory, then I recommend you call Sonnen’s line and arrange a meeting yourself. But this picnic will be a lot of fun, I’m sure.” She winked at him before taking her leave, as she had some paperwork to get done.

If you're referring to Othello as the boy with shaggy, rubescent hair and aqua eyes, then I must tell you Othello is previously occupied. And if you're referring to Madam Usagi there at the end, then I must also tell you she's previously occupied, as well. Unless you're not referring to those two, in which case I am confused. O_o )) =- If you can't stand the way this place is, take yourself to higher places.

The easiest way to do that would be to read the last post of each character... THEN insert your character. My honest answer for it... just have Lux arrive at the mansion and ring the bell... that way, you can be directed to the Madame or met one of the hosts (depending on who answers the door).)))

@Everyone! : Alright, so I've been thinking about making a Guilty Pleasures Map of the Mansion. Thing. I realize that it seems like we kind of need one. What do y'all think? I've sort of sketched out rough drawing of the first floor and the second floor, but it's just on notebook paper while I was avoiding doing geometry. Yay? Nay? )) =- If you can't stand the way this place is, take yourself to higher places.

As for the map... I LOVE THE IDEA! I think it would be a really good idea actually... I mean, I've got my idea of the place in my head, but $20 says it's not the actual layout, hehe.)))

She told another thread owner that group RPs seemed to not be her style, or something of the like. Guess she likes 1x1 RPs more. I'd just draw the map and then scan it, hehe. You can add a lot more detail that way. Or maybe even find pictures on the net to go with it! I did that once for an RP... designed my character's apartment that way.)))

Break away from everybody, break away from everything.-= (( Alright, well I suppose I can draw up some maps then! I have a fancy Corel Painter program that I can use, and a tablet and such. Just one thing, though: Companions, tell me what room number you want. I'll be including bedrooms in the blueprints, so I want a general idea of where everyone will be. I think I'll put about four bedrooms per floor, so don't pick some crazy number like 51. Let's keep the numbers between 1 and 10 for now. )) =- If you can't stand the way this place is, take yourself to higher places.

Tel was taken to room 341 on page 4, but since 3 and 4 have been claimed, shall we say it's room 1 then? too bad we lost a client, especially one who was a regular with a history here. even though i'm playing a new guy, it's always nice to have characters who are settled into the setting. mayhaps i'll be adventurous and take that spot... )))

Break away from everybody, break away from everything.-= (( Cool, cool. I've started on some of the maps, and while they're not amazing, I think they look very informative. I'm not going to draw the security rooms or gardens or anything like that; y'all can make that up as you please. :] And of course if you wanna add some small details into the rooms (chairs, paintings, window views, etc) then that's fine, too. And add some secret passageways; that's awesome as well. )) =- If you can't stand the way this place is, take yourself to higher places.
