Jake started to nod, but stopped when he heard that they'd burn it, his eyes widening. He'd known it for his home for years, when his sister had first broken the lock off to get in. But burning it? "Burn it? What do you mean?" He asked, fear creeping into his voice.

"Your home. Burn it to the ground. You see.." -Strider stops and turns around- "Your going to be leaveing the world you know behind and let me tell you something. Houses not only protects the body but absorbs your memories as well and to us memories are dangerous because when you get to live to be up to one thousand years old those memories just fester in the pit of your stoumach until eventually it becomes unbearable and your driven insane." -Strider turns and continues- "I should know. Its happened to me before."

Jake followed after Strider, listening to his words. "But, houses aren't people. Wouldn't it be better to leave it alone? They don't go insane." His eyebrows came together as he thought for a minute. "Wait, don't tell me that it'll magically combust into flames after a while, or turn into a haunted house?"

"No its because that house is your last connection to the life you have now and if you don't you may long to come back and if that happens then you'll never be able to move forward and you'll always look back and thats something you don't want on your conciouns trust me." -We make it to the house and Strider finds two shovels- "Here we'll dig it by hand."

((It's Fall outside Strider! biggrin )) Jake looked down sadly at the ground, almost wishing Strider hadn't told him that. He leaned Stephanie, or her body, against the house in a sitting position, sniffling a little and rubbing his nose with his sleeve. "Yeah." he said, not finding anything else to say and taking one of the shovels. The small hill beside the house would make a nice spot, so he jammed the shovel's blade into the cold ground, beginning to make a small hole.

-Striderhelpped but mostly watched Jake. This was probably the hardest thinghe's ever done. Strider felt pity for him- "I think its deep enough."-Strider lifts up Stephanies body and gentley places it in the hole. Then uses magic to place the dirt back in. Then summoned a tombstone with her name on it and set it infront of the grave- "I'll leave you to say your final goodbye's. Meet me infront of your house once you feel your ready." -With that Strider left Jake to say his goodbye's-

((Fine, don't reply. I'm used to talking to myself anyway. But, Jake and Stephanie are copyrighted to me. 3nodding )) Jake nodded, then placed the shovel on the ground before sitting beside it. He sat there for awhile, staring at the tombstone and thinking, not really finding anything to say. He brought his hand up to the locket around his neck, wondering a little about what it was at first but not too curious. "So," He said, trying to make his voice sound lighthearted instead of mournful. "We'll see each other again sometime. I'm...not really sure about this, though. It's odd without you now, it might be a long time until I get used to this feeling. You were always with me, since we were little, huh? Even when we had nowhere to live, and no parents that either of us remember." He was silent for a moment, rubbing his fingers over the warm locket. "Hey, maybe you'll see them up there! Wherever you are, I mean..." Sighing, he reached over and touched the gravestone, tracing the letters with a finger on his other and. "I wish you were still here, Sis. It'll be kind of lonely, even though I'll probably be with Strider. I'll come back here though, from time to time, to visit you. Even if he has to drag me back, or forbid me not to come, I'll find a way." He smiled, grimly and picked a flower growing near, making sure its roots were tucked into the fresh soil. "You can count on it." He stood up, tucking the locket into his shirt and feeling its warmth. Then he said quietly. "See you later, Sis. I love you." Jake turned away, wiping his eyes with a sleeve, and walked over to where Strider was.

((srry I was so absorbed into the roleplay I forgot =O and how can it be copyrighted if im useing Jake in PDNoB?)) -Strider saw Jake- "Welp the house is ready when you are." -Strider hands Jake a small orb filled with swirling fire- "This I made myself. Its made of a magical glass and filled with fire. The fire is from the fire that burnt my own mortal home down so you can say it's kind of like a keepsake of mine. Now just throw it at the house when your ready."

((XD It's okies. I dunno, it kinda worked out that way. Next time though, ask first plz! ^^))
Jake looked down at the orb, weighing it in his hand. It wasn't all that heavy, just like a filled balloon. He turned his gaze to his home, the home he'd known for most of his life. He thought briefly of getting the faded picture from inside. Curious, he opened the locket around his neck with a click, peering inside. He smiled, seeing that same picture, one of him and Stephanie already in there. Figuring out this locket would come later, he thought, snapping it closed. He looked back to Strider. "Uh, can I ask a question? What did it feel like? To...to leave your home, and never go back."

"It felt like the life I thought I could have had was a dream. Of course that was also the day I realized that my true purpose wa something greater then what I already had." -Strider looked at the locket- "You can keep the lockt. I myself kept one momento to the past." -Strider tapped his shades- "The one I loved made these for me. Before she died."

Jake looked away, feeling a sense of sadness that he'd never felt before. "I'm sorry." He said quietly. "But, maybe your old life was part of your true purpose too. Not like a dream."

Jake's mouth dropped open and he glanced back at Strider, but realized he had already disappeared. He'd honestly thought that he'd have to burn his house down. He still felt sad though, maybe it would go away sometime. He sighed, looking up at the lonely place now, already missing its emptiness. He dropped the ball on the ground, unconsciously flinching away from it and shutting his eyes. When he opened them again, he was standing next to Strider.

"Welcome to my home. The Celestial Library." -Strider waved his hands in a sweeping motion around the expanse of the library that was exremely tall going up for an imeasurable amount of floors- "This Library holds all the knowledge of the universe and its people. This is also the place I have called home for several mellenia. This is also where your training as my aprentice shall begin."

Jake's eyes widened and he stood there stunned. The whole place was immmense, and it looked like he could get lost just walking somewhere. He'd never seen so many books before, only the little picture book Stephanie had found in an empty trash can. "Th-this is..." He stammered, whipping his head around everywhere. "How did...?"
