Streak Lightening
((Well I read the long post, how else could I have nominated you for Demitri's quote?))

Streak walked up to Issildia to see a lose head and a body along with the corpse of Demitri. Streak smiled and hid his smile as he walked around to Issildia's view.

"Issildia? What happened?" Streak asked.

(((Alright this will do just fine 3nodding , and thanks for the nomination Streak, and just so you know Flashstorm you have also been nominated for the quote contest. 3nodding )))

"The city is lost, if we are to survive then we must retreat..." Issildia said avoiding his question, as she slid back into her militaristic nature doing all she could to keep her thoughts separate from the previous events.

As she ended this statement Issildia noticed that Reinsen Nevar was no where to be seen. It matters not, he will die by my hands in time... Issildia through grimly to herself, before once again she turned to the problem at hand.
"Spread the word, all the survivors are to make their way to Terradova, if you old unit is still there then we will send the survivors to Keirdon under their guard."

She then turned from Streak, I will gather all the survivors I can from within the city and take them to the southern borders of the forest.
You are to wait at the southern forest border until the survivors arrive. Lead them to Terradova...and don't wait for me, I will come when my work here is done..." Issildia eyes narrowed as she spoke her last words.

She then turned and without a word or second glance she slipped into the chaos, making her way to the gate and the burning city.

Streak lead a small group of elite soliders who survived. With them was a Necromancer who was there to protect them. They entered to forest unharmed. Only one of the undead warrior attacked, but the Necromancer stopped it easily. The Necromancer began to walk u to Streak and suddenly stopped when she saw him.

"Stop! I sense two auras in you, how is this?" She asked. Streak looked her in the eye.
"Are you sure it isn't that I have a powerful aura?" Streak asked.
"I am certain. I will have to check you. I will have to destroy the 2nd aura." She replied.
"I'm afraid I can't let you do that. I will not let you interfere." Streak replied, although it was not his voice. The elites all drew there swords at these words.
"You're possessed! STOP HIM!!!" She shouted.
"Stop me what? You think I will run?" Streak asked.
"If you fight you die, if you run you die, surrender, leave Streak alone. Let him be." She said. Streak laughed.
"Streak is dead. If I leave, Streak dies." Streak said.
"Who are you?" She asked.
((VV WARNING: ULTIMATE CHEESE ALERT!!! VV))
"Your worst nightmare!" Streak replied.

Streak then drew his blade and conjured another. The Necromancer attempted to exorcise Streak. All the elite soldiers attacked Streak. Streak merely stood there. He didn't even try to block, he just dodged them all. He then slashed one of the legs of an elite warrior easily, ad left him to bleed to death. Another he decapited. A third he impaled. All the time the Necromancer was attempting to exorcise Streak, but it was having no effect. Streak had already killed all 12 elites. Streak then walked calmly up to the Necromancer.

"Looks like 13 is your unlucky number." Streak laughed and the Necromancer screamed. Streak struck her down. Streak then cleaned his blade and threw away the other blade. It disappeared before it touched the ground. Streak then shout out into the trees, "ISSILDIA!!! HELP!!!" This was in Streak's voice.

((I think that longer than the last long one I posted. That might be the longest I've ever done biggrin ))

Just as Aronoth was about to speak, he heard the desprate cry of a name, coming from the forest. Seeing the stranger react, he realised the call was beconing her. "Go, help him. Leave the evacuation to me."

(((Alright I'm here lol, my sister's birthday was yesterday and we went out of town to celebrate. But anyway I'm back. biggrin )))

As Issildia heard Streak's cry for help she turned instantly towards the forest. Then as the warrior from before told her he would deal with the evacuation Issildia sheathed her katana Sumar and with a flourish of blades drew her twin scimitars Sable and Vice.

She nodded to the man that had spoken, and suddenly leapt back into the main battle at the gates, where the remaining Anierian warriors were attempting to stem the flow of the Larovian soldiers.

An enemy soldier broke through the lines and came charging at Issildia brandishing a large mace, and sweeping it towards Issildia's neck.

Issildia easily ducked below the weapon and brought her right handed scimitar Sable racing upwards into the base of her attacker's jaw in a diagonal upward thrust.

Then as she tore her blade away and the soldier collapsed her left handed scimitar Vice swept forward into the torso of another Larovian soldier. As her attack made contact she came back to her feet from the dodge she had made earlier and twisted her blade Vice before wrenching it out of the soldier's stomach.

Issildia continued to make her way back through the hoard until she somehow found her way to the open ice of what had once been Lake Veldan.

She set off at a sprint to the borders of the forest, the memories of those slain weighing heavily on her thoughts. She would not allow another of her comrades to meet their end.

After racing up the steep incline that led into the forgotten wild Issildia entered the smoky shadows of the forest.
"Streak Where are you!?" she shouted. Though strangely she did not sheath her blades, her grip only tightened around their hilts.

Whether cured or still subject it the changes Issildia had seen come upon him earlier in Anier; Streak could still not be trusted...not until she was certain that he was indeed cured of his enigma of a curse...

The moment shouts were heard in the forest, Amber's guard sprang to their feet, weapons ready. Ten men would not be enough to any force worth mentioning, but duty is duty, even if to just buy time for her escape.
Besides, it would be a great honor to die for the life of a noble princess.
The captain immediately forced his body between Amber and the rest of the forest, protecting her with his life should an arrow happen to come by.
The guard began to say something, but it seemed to have faded out of reality. Amber closed her eyes and concentrated. In a split second, her nose had shifted, elongated into a snout and changed to that of a wolf's.
The world around her took an immediate shift, becoming laced with different undertones not perceptible by normal beings. She could smell the guard's musky scent and the sweat beading in his pours. She could smell the faint perfumes of her servants. More so, she smelt the battle. Blood was thick in the air, leaving an irony scent that mingled with the heavy smoke, clogging her senses.
Amber focused and soon, one by one, even for her other senses. each of them faded into nothingness. The screams, the blood, the panic. It all faded. There was just the forest. Pollen and the scents of vegetation filled through her, previously unnoticeable, along with something else. Presumably because of the battle, there was not even the markings of a single animal.
Some ways into the wood, there were other signatures. Blood was one of them. The sickeningly sweat scent was only one of them, accompanied by death and the distinct taint of something unnatural. A spirit? An enchantment? Amber was not sure, but it was fixated around the one living being in the dead. A man laced with both the air of a Valtera and Celtarie was being tormented by the unnatural taint. Many things were going through him, mainly emotions.
Dispare seemed to be among them. Why else would it call for help?
Another scent grew, closing in on the man. This one was a woman, mixed Celtarie and Anierian. She reeked of pain and determination, obviously set on finding the man and saving him.
Besides them, Amber could not smell anything else in the woods. She allowed her nose to return to its natural shape and felt her senses being clouded back into normality. She blinked and looked at her guard, saying, "There is no threat. Stand down."
He blinked and looked over his shoulder at Amber, studying her for a moment before each of the other guards dropped out of their fighting stances.
"There are two people in the wood, one tormented by an unseen force, the other attempting to rescue him." Amber stated matter-of-factly. "They might be in need of assistance and I do not believe they are hostile."
Every guard and servant blinked and looked at the princess for a moment and then nodded. Then, they set off into the woods.

((Just popped up to me. Are there humans? If there aren't, and each of these soldiers are one of those given races, then combat would not be as simple as sword hack and slash. They could shape shift and cast spells just as easily as anyone else.)

(((Human are not native to this region, but in neighboring kingdoms they do indeed exist, though they are normally forced into servitude to the other races, slavery and such. But they can indeed be warriors and such if they are adapt in the ways of battle. And BTW, only a small percentage of the Anierian population even have powers, this is why many of them can only fight utilizing the art of the blade.

Anyway I will post after Streak has replied to my earlier post. 3nodding )))

"Issildia, I'm here. We've been ambushed by undead warriors. They left none of the elites alive. The Necromancer managed to stop some, but was eventually overwelmed. I didn't know what to do, so I called your name and for some reason, as soon as I called, they fleed." Streak said. He was breathing quite hard.

Aroth nodded back. He turned around to see how the battle was going, and whether the town was secure for the moment. Turning back to face the stranger, he noticed she had vanished. He than quickly touched his amulet; it glowed for a moment, than 4 of the Wizemnigot Impressions teleported to his side.

"Go, search the town. Collect any survivors and bring them to the forest to the south. Hopefully, they will not be afraid of a pure energy being such as yourselves."

The soldiers raced off, and Aronoth followed suit. The evacuation had begun.

(((South actually, West would go into Larovia'a territory. We are sending everyone towards Keirdon, but no worries, just check the mock up map on the first page if you are ever confused about direction, all of the kingdoms and cities are marked on that map to help you guys out. 3nodding )))

Issildia nodded at this, then she knelt to the ground where the Anierian Necromancer's body lay, she pressed two fingers to the gaping wound in the woman's torso. Blood from the wound stained Issildia's fingers as she drew them away and rubbed her blood covered fingertips together as her eyes darkened.

"This one was not killed by an UnDead" Issildia said bluntly, and her azure eyes flickered upwards to rest on Streak.
Suddenly Issildia disappeared in a swirl of shadow and reappeared only a few feet from Streak, her scimitars crossed at his neck.

"Who are you!?" she shouted, her voice stricken with rage and silent threats.

Streak began to laugh. "I'm surprised it took you so long to realise. That Necromancer you see before you just had to look at me to realised. You can't threaten me with those blades. The only thing they will do is kill your friend. You can if you want to though, that is fine by me." Streak smiled. "Well go on then, aren't you oing through with your futile attempt?"
PostPosted: Mon Jan 16, 2006 10:47 am

"I have suspected for sometime that you were not who you claimed" said Issildia coldly, "I only needed proof of my suspicions to act."

Her scimitars bit into his neck, drawing blood..."And if you think I will not end both your's and Streak's life here and now, then you are mistaken...for who would want to live when controlled by the likes of you, it would be mercy on my part to end my comrade's torment."

Again the twin blades bit into his neck, as her eyes became dark and foreboding, "Now release him...and perhaps you will survive to play this game another day" she paused before bitterly uttering her last unfaltering words.

"I have lost everything and everyone I ever cared for... so don't think for even a moment that I won't end the both of you here and now..." Again Issildia paused, "Now release your hold on him!"

Once again Streak laughed. "You really think by killing Streak it will kill me? You'd be wasting your breath." Streak once again grinned.
