Her tears flowed more freely. The way he said it made her feel like he didn't want her there with him. She looked down, her tears falling thick on the material of her jeans. "I don't want to leave you," she told him quietly, looking at the floor, concentrating on the small circles she was drawing with the toe of her shoe.

Kenna smiled back, through the tears that flowed down her cheeks. She wrapped her hands around Ian's and sighed softly, sitting back in the chair that had been brought out for her. "I will be here as long as they let me stay," she promised.

The guards sighed. "We told you, you can't stay. Visiting hours don't start for another six hours."

She turned on the guards quickly, her eyes blazing and bloodshot with tears. "Then can I stay out there with you until they start? I'm pregnant and its cold and I can't walk all the way from my house to here for them."

One of the female officers took her to the waiting room, and brought her something to drink. "We hope we can make you comfortable."

Kenna thanked the officer in her normally quiet voice. She felt bad for acting so rudely, she knew that they were being as nice, nicer really than they should be under the circumstances. "Once he leaves, will we have to go for court dates or anything?" she asked the officer quietly, taking a sip of the drink.

The officer shook her head. "Since it's a minor offense, and his first offense, we're gonna let him go with only a day in jail."
