OOC: I'd abandon Cyan and take darkblue, but Scion has it. Ah well. Perhaps I'll modify my posting style. Cyan = Macnor.

"How's the potion working for your leg? You think you can make it bud?"

*Baikasu tried to hop a little on one leg, landing on the injured leg. He winces a little.*
Baikasu: Eh, not bad enough to be exempt from fighting. And I really feel like killing something right now.*Insert mild, hollow laugh.*
Great. He's lost it. Now I have a crazy bearer with bloodlust in his eyes. Aren't I the lucky one?

Baikasu: Regardless, my condition doesn't ******** matter at this point. If need be I can always lop the damned leg off and turn my rifle into a prosthetic. Let's just go save Nida and Naoko from Phey's fate, okay? I really don't want to have a triple-combo.

Just start the shock-treatment over again, Macnor. Up the ampage so I actually feel pain rather than a tingling sensation. Keep upping it. Keep it up until I get knocked out, die, or go do something that requires concentration.
Sure thing!
*Macnor Zaps Baikasu a good one, making him twitch a little bit.*

Baikasu: Damnit that hurt!

Keep it up, Mac. This should not only help me level up my electrical defense, but also help through the mourning process.
It did occure to you that I might be enjoying myself while doing that regardless of recent events, right?!
I figure, you've been without a d**k -let alone your body- for how long? Sadism's the next best thing, really.
Don't remind me of my shortcomings, knave! Do my bidding!
Heh, oddly enough, your attempts at cheering me the frack up sem to be working. I'll still have to kill something today though.

Baikasu: Randomly insane outbursts aside, wht the frack are we all waiting around for, anyway?

Gwyn cursed under his breath as Daewyn and Sion raced off. This was not the right way to go about things. If they didn't calm the hell down then they'd be as dead as Phey soon. Gwyn knew he had to act quickly, so jumped into the air towards the Crystal Hall, hoping to get there first before those idiots go theirselves killed.

"That stupid little kid, she's always so naive and cheerful. I knew if things got too grim she'd lose her ******** head," Gwyn thought angrily.

Calming himself down, Gwyn focused on the task at hand. Naoko had greater mental energy than Nida, so Gwyn tried to contact her mentally. Soon enough, however, his mind reeled as his telepathy hit the barrier surrounding the building.

"Damn... I can't even put a crack in that barrier, its like a damn brick wall!" Gwyn exclaimed outloud.

"I've got to think of something though... Kain, can you get through to Daemon or Xachta at all?" Gwyn asked his guardian.

"I'm sorry, my lad, but I cannot. I've been trying to locate them, but its like they don't even exist. It is most vexing, let me assure you..." Kain replied.

"Gaaaaah think! There has to be something I can do! Wait a second... it might work... at the very least it should let them know we're coming..." Gwyn thought to himself.

Focusing his mental energy, Gwyn released a flare of mental energy into the air above the Crystal Hall. The energy was so concentrated and intense that it was almost visible on the Material Plane, and was easily felt by anyone with a decent amount of magical power.

"There, that should alert Naoko and Nida, and call the amulet bearers there. It might give away our position, but at this point I think our enemies have tracked us anyway." Gwyn said to himself.

As he jumped one last time, he came up to the Crystal Hall. Now all he had to do is wait for the others to get here.

ooc: Okay, that was just my way of getting to the Hall. If someone wants to be there already, thats fine. Also, all of my dialogue and mental actions were done as a was jumping towards the Crystal Hall, just for clarification. x_x And I'm sorry if my post seemed slightly erratic, I wasn't feeling quite in the zone.

Naoko once again glanced back at Nida before looking forward.

"And do you know where we can regroup?" she pointed out. "I've already told the others that we should get to Crystal Hall."

((OOC: I forget if I called it "hall" or "pillar" or something during the old thread long time ago, but I'll just call it "hall" for now...don't mind if I switch between the two now and then...))

This really wasn't how she usually was, but Naoko knew that for a fact the way they came in wasn't going to be the way they would come out. For all she knew, the way that they had come in before would be sealed off.

"...And I don't think that my brother is here. Not now, anyway," she continued. "This aura doesn't feel like Wyvern's nor my brother's....it's something different."

A flame of red flashed across her mind, and Naoko stopped, looking in the distance as if she had heard something.

...Reika?

"What is it?" Nida wheezed as she, too, stopped.

Naoko wished that she could cast a healing spell on the Poison bearer, but her own reserves were just about wiped out. It took all her will power to stand and walk around. Not that she physically showed it, but Nida knew that she knew she was just as exhausted as the dancer was.

"Do you think you can run?" Naoko asked her.

If what she saw was right, then the Mistress of Fire and General of Tuvidal was not far away from them now.
~~~~~
Daemon opened his eyes to see nothing but darkness. Which was fine by him, for since the day he died all he had seen was darkness. But this...felt different. This was not the Void he was used to seeing.
The former Master of Void stood up, glaring at his surroundings. It didn't feel right. Ever since his descendant entered in the Crystal Hall, he could be able to contact nor SEE her, which was odd. She hadn't died, he knew. If she did, then he would too. That was just how close their link was.
He glanced around again, noting that he couldn't even sense Xachta as well. That was truly strange.
The magic of this place was much stronger than he remembered. Had the girl's brother done something to it? Or did the elders seal something that was not to have even existed in the first place?
~~~~

Damn girl.

That was the first thing that Sion could think of as he chased after that bulging aura underground. It was one thing to chase after girls, it was another thing to chase after one who was the Earth bearer and running underground beneath him. After Melchoir had displayed his show of character, the Water bearer reverted back inside him and ordered the Lilandre local to chase after Daewyn.

You have to stop her before she hits the Crystal Hall. There's no idea what could happen if she loses contact with Terra in there.

I know, dammit. You don't have to remind me. Sion growled back at his ancestor.

Usually not one to think too much over matters like this, Sion had to quickly think up of a solution to stop Daewyn before she even entered the building. Muttering some words beneath his breath, he began to cast the highest Ice Wall that he knew, sending it right in front of Daewyn's path, who had immediately stopped from getting hit.

"Finally," he muttered to himself, catching his breath. Then he shouted, "Do you understand where you're going?? You're gonna get yourself killed if you take a step in there without knowing what's inside!"

((OOC: Let's just say that Sion knows some stuff....))
~~~~~
She was focusing so hard on stopping the aura that was advancing further into the room, that Reika hadn't noticed the dragoon's aura that had stepped foot in front of the entrance to Crystal Hall.
Growling to herself in anger, she quickly sent a telepathic message to him, not even caring what he would think of it.
You IDIOT! Do not step foot inside! Tell that to the others if they come, you hear me?!?
She had also finally, from that mental outburst, felt her cousin's aura below her.
Naoko, get your skinny a** right here, NOW!
Daewyn barely pulled herself to a halt as she neared the ice wall and had to alter her course up, bringing her back to the surface.
"What are you doing?!" she demanded of Sion, her face red with anger. "I have to get to Phey, she needs me!" The girl was close to tears, they welled up in the corners of her eyes, threatening to fall down her cheeks.
"Do you have any idea where to find Phey? Or what's happened to her?" Sion demanded quietly, trying his hardest not to lose patience with the impetuous child. "You can't go off without everyone else, we need to work together."
Daewyn bit her lip, her face still red, but this time with a bit less anger and a hint of embarassment. Terra had tried to tell her to stop and wait, but she wouldn't listen. Her old self, that impulsive child who never listened to anyone else, had snuck back in. Not able to bring herself to apologize for her rash actions, she waited with Sion until everyone regrouped and headed over to the Crystal Hall, where Gwyn was already waiting for them. Guilt and worry were eating her up inside, causing her normally cheerful demeanor to vanish, covered by her morose mood. I'm sorry, Phey... I'm really sorry...
OOC: You can use other colors not listed... there's a thread here where someone has already typed out a lot of colors available beyond the originals.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 08, 2006 6:37 pm
((OOC: Well, you pansies can wimp out on full-color posting if you want, but those of us with the foresight to choose higher contrasts will tough it out. 3nodding ... that is, unless you'd prefer me to switch, in which case, holla or something.))
"Can she run?" Nida snorted. "At this rate, her legs are gonna be all that's left." A brief pause. "Look, Naoko. Tension and whatnot. I'm sorry if I'm shitty right now. You know what you're doing; you lead. I'm just frustrated and scared and tired."
She halted her brief speech; she had a feeling Naoko was about to tell her that running was imperative, whether Nida could do it or not.
---
Gwyn was wrong about one thing - Nida didn't feel a thing when his flare burst against the night. Xachta, however, was alert enough to detect it. It wasn't much - just a brief fizzle, like a big moth in a bug zapper a hundred yards away - but long decades of self-enforced solitude had taught the spirit a measure of oneness with its surroundings.
The spark of magical energy gave Xachta some hope. Its prison wasn't impenetrable from the outside, at least. Maybe it would be able to respond in kind.
While it wasn't able to discern it itself, Xachta's reply was indeed successful: a small pool of slick, oily ooze formed at the ledge where Nida and Naoko had clambered out of the pit. A marker for the others, if they managed to get this far.
*Bryce looks up with a tinge of irritation as Gwyn wisks away on Caranar to join Sion and Daewyn at the Hall.*
Well that's just lovely...
Baikasu, Shuichi, I guess that means it's just the three of us for the walk. Crystal Hall should be just up this road, past the treeline. We'll be able to see the statue of Minister Keika from there, and I hope the others are near it. I don't guess it should take us very long, even with your leg. In fact, why don't I give us a little bit of a breeze in our step to make it easier?
*He closes his eyes for a bit and positions his palms downward. A soft wind is felt rustling about and soon the three feel themselves lifted slightly above the ground.*
That'll do. Shall we be off, then?
((OOC: Ayame, forgive me if it was really the Crystal Pillar. From Reika's narration a second ago, I thought the Pillar was an object inside of the Crystal Hall, perhaps the source of the magic and/or the secret weapon of Tuvidal's Mage Academy.))
((lol...I just checked and I called it the Crystal Spire before. Whatever. I suppose we should just pick one and stick with it...hehe))
Gwyn breathed a sigh of relief as Sion and Daewyn approached him. Gwyn had been sure Daewyn would be unable to control herself. But something still nagged at him. What was taking the others? Checking their progress, Gwyn realized that they were walking. Slightly incredulous, Gwyn contacted Bryce.
"Bryce, can you hear me? Why the bloody hell are you walking? Shu is the Bearer of Time, just have him Haste you all! Or hell, you're the Bearer of Wind, ain't ya? Just Fly here! I mean seriously DAMN WHO THE HELL IS THAT!? QUIT YELLING AT ME YOU b***h!" Gwyn exclaimed.
General Reika had sent him a searing telepathic message in the middle of his message to Bryce. His head spinning slightly, Gwyn decided to give Bryce a brief message.
"Look, I don't care how you do it, just get here... quickly. I think things just got a bit worse," Gwyn said gravely.
Having finished his business with Bryce, Gwyn searched mentally for the connection that had sent him that yelling message. Try as he might, he couldn't find the origin of the message. Perhaps if he hadn't been talking to Bryce at the time he would have been able to locate the source. He hadn't ever had more than one mental link open at a time before... and from the ache it had caused in his mind, he didn't want to repeat the experience. The contents of the message bothered him. He knew that Nida and Naoko were in danger and that they needed help. So who was it that had yelled at him. Were they going to put Naoko and Nida in more danger if they entered? Not knowing what to make of it, Gwyn decided to consult his companions.
"Sion... Daewyn... I just received a telepathic message from... someone. They're inside the Crystal Hall, whoever they are. Anyways, they said for us to not step a foot inside the Crystal Hall. What do you guys think? Shall we continue on once the others get here, or are we going to wait it out?" Gwyn asked his friends.
ooc: Okay, I'm slightly confused. Does Gwyn know who it was who contacted him? Can he contact her back? Am I supposed to?
Oh, and I didn't ride Caranar over here, I just jumped a few times sweatdrop
OOC: The word 'Spire' is so much cooler than 'pilar'.
*As the trio begins to levetate slightly above the ground, Baikasu begins to slip a little on his footing.*
Baikasu: You casted float. On all of us. One of whom has a leg injury. Smaaart. This'll take a little getting used to, having no traction or anything. I wonder...
*Does a small bit of jogging and then starts to ry and slide on the ground. Due to the lack of friction on the ground, however, he just glides over it at a relatively fast pace, with a slightly higher stopping rate. He then tries to drop down into push-up position. Howver, his hands stop in the air just as far from the ground as his feet.*
Baikasu: Okay, so not only can I not fall, but walking will be more amusing to do. I actually like this, all things considered.
*Starts sliding in the direction Qwyn went.*
OOC: Sliding is less stressful for torn muscle tisue than walking, as the leg can stay in te same position for the bulk of the time. I'm treating it like a more-controllable version of ice was on the ground, and stopped falling damage.
Daewyn stood with her arms crossed across her chest, her mood still showing darkly across her face. "I want to find Phey and see if we can't help Naoko and Nida but... I suppose we should at least wait for the others."
Terra took advantage of the child's silence to warn her of the danger she felt imminent. Child, I can't contact the Void or Xachta... I can't even really sense them. There's something over this place that prevents us from communicating in our plane.
Your plane?
Daewyn asked, a little confused by the unfamiliar term. What do you mean by that?
It's the place where my spirit and that of the other guardians reside, sort of like... you and the rest of the world you see are in the material plane. Our plane is seperate from yours, but rests just above it.
Like above the sky?
Daewyn asked, her expression a little less perplexed.
Sort of. Basically the magic in that place creates a haze of some sort. I'm not sure if the haze is just surrounding the place, seperating it from the outside world, or if it's all through it. At the bes, once we enter we'll be able to speak to the other guardians again, but at the worst, I may not be able to talk to even you when you enter it.
Still a bit confused, Daewyn tried to relay to Gwyn and Sion what Terra had told her. "Umm... Terra said there's some sort of magical fog in that place cause she can't talk to the other spirits above the sky, Xachta and the Void and stuff. She says she might not be able to talk to me anymore if we go in there... What should we do?" As upset as Daewyn was by the news of Phey's trouble, the idea of losing another guide in her life, however so temporarily, obviously disturbed her.
[OOC]Ok, I'm planning on getting back into this now that I have some time and it's picked back up, but I'm going to have to figure out what's happened since I last checked in.
This process will likely consist of asking somebody who's read the thread to summarize it and skimming the thread.[/OOC]
[OOC]One day, I hope that this tag will become real.[/OOC]
OOC: To answer a few questions before I actually post something (which is likely tomorrow cuz I have to study for a test in Chinese stressed which is tomorrow)
Gwyn: No, you don't really know who's talking to you. Since you've only met Reika once, you don't remember what her voice sounds like sweatdrop You can contact her back if you want to, I NPC her anyway ^^;;
...Which reminds me that I need to put up her NPC profile up on the profile thread....
Chibicid: Lol, yay for bad memory! I think you got it right. The pillar is something in the Hall...I keep on forgetting that the Hall is a building but I switched back and forth in the old thread because I don't remember what the building was actually called... sweatdrop (and I was really tired when I was typing up that post.... this is what I get from college algebra and lack of sleep)
I guess we can say that the entire structure is called "Crystal Hall" to locals, "Crystal Spire" is the other name that it's known as, and the structure in the center of the building that is a part of the Wind Temple is called the "Pillar". That work?
