Veroen raised an eyebrow to Rogue as she walked in and looked him over. But he kept silent, and scratched the back of his head absentmindedly.

Alexz laughed, "Terribly busy," she winked.
"He passed out in Central Park last night, I brought him here to help him. The Void almost had him," she spoke into Rogue's mind, summarizing as best she could.
She quietly shut the door and returned to the couch in which she had been seated. Crossing her legs, she draped her arm over the back of the couch.
"Why thank you, I was in need of a change," she glanced around the room.
It was a lot darker than it had been previously, but it was far more stylish. She was always updating her room, her look, her speech, in order to keep up with the times.

When she had seen Veroen last, the scene with Meredith played out in her mind. She had left them together, and him barely clinging to his own mind as the void tried to unravel it...not to mention unravel her. But Rogue had pulled on his memories almost forcing him to remember. She hadn't forced, but she had asked trying to see if he was even there anymore.
She glanced over her shoulder looking him in the eye. "I am surprised a little surprised myself. How do you feel about being in the same room with two people you supposedly hate most."
Alexz, as much as I think we should try and help him, he is unstable. Are you sure bringing him here is a wise decision... she spoke the thoughts into Alexz's mind as she spoke to Veroen aloud.

Veroen's head jerked up, and he chuckled slightly.
"Not as bad as I thought it would." he smirked a little as he said this.
In his body, the Void spoke for the first time since he passed out.
"They are talking about you, you know... telepathically. Probably contemplating how to dispose of you."
Veroen was silent, and slightly smiled at Alexz and Rogue.
"You are a threat to them.... And they don't ******** around with threats. That's how they run the Coven. And they definitely wont ******** around with you..."
Veroen continued to ignore the Void, and tested his legs by trying to move one. Pain shot through his stomach. He blinked a few times in surprise to the pain. So he wasn't fully healed...
"They could easily kill you now in your weakened state.. unless you give me control, and I kill them before they kill you. Believe me Assassin, they will try sooner or later. You're hardly more than a liability..."
Veroen leaned back against a great number of well stuffed pillows, and stayed there. Nothing on his face gave away the one way conversation inside himself.
Veroen looked at Rogue and frowned. She had the smell of a tainted that slightly clung to her.
"Been hanging around any Demon's lately, Rogue?" It was odd, because Veroen had caught this particular scent before....but he couldn't remember when.

"I can't watch the Void rip him apart...no one deserves that sort of torture without any kind of support..." she mentally sighed into Rogue's mind, "I remember how frightening the instability of powers greater than you are capable of controlling is...my first few years as a vampire were extremely terrifying, it's almost the same thing, he's just struggling with darkness instead of psychic abilities." w "I'm sure you expected that any encounter with us would result in a bloodbath, guess we're far more civilized than society portrays us to be," Alexz grinned.
As he shifted and tried to move, worry flashed across her face. She could feel the pain that shot through him and didn't know how to help. Why was she feeling so sympathetic? She was generally the most sympathetic of the four elders, but she hadn't felt this concerned in a while.
"You okay?" she asked Veroen.
She thought she sensed the Void quiver for a moment, but she was unsure and wasn't about to pry. Distracted by the scent of Tainted on Rogue, she arched a brow at Rogue.
"Demon? Smells more like the devil himself."

Gabriel entered the chambers and by the looks of things had just joined in in the middle of an interesting conversation. Moving around the people he made his way to near Rogue and just held himself in reserve quietly. This place was interesting to him, it was like the modern age mixed with the old world. It was familiar to him. Which in turn relaxed him. He looked at the other female vampire in the room with them and had a sudden sense of deja vu and then a name flashed into his mind. Alexz. Yes Father had known her as well when he had been here. Had talked to her a few times but she had not taken his interest like the green eyed one. That could also explain why New York made him feel at home now that he thought about it, Father had adopted this city as a home it seemed. In some part at least.

In truth, she wanted to help Veroen in whatever way she could. She knew that when she last had spoken with him. From the looks of it, Alexz felt the same way, and she wondered at the chord they seemed to share, even though they should kill him for his betrayal. Funny. She seemed to keep those that betrayed the coven closest. Alexz first, before she was an Elder, and now, Veroen, here, in their very quarters. She felt Gabriel walk in, and did not look at him for the moment as she listened to Veroen and Alexz. As much as he deserves to die, he does not deserve to die. Though that might make no sense, it makes perfect sense because we too deserve death for our lives under human standards.
"It seems...there is indeed a demon...and I've never met him before. I don't run into a lot of this kind of Tainted." She looked to Gabriel beside her, then back to them. "I've only dealt with Tainted, more or less like Neko...we've killed off a lot of them in the past two years, and Neko has seemed to disappear." She paused and looked at the ground.
"I've never really encountered this before, and I'm not quite sure I want to." Memories flashed through her mind of the possessed woman on the ceiling of the church. And the memory of the Tainted staring her down in her own club, making her gaze be locked to his...pulling at darkness, and scraping at her soul in some way...there was a feeling of the void, but the feeling was a different one all together.
She knew Alexz would see these things, and for a brief moment, Rogue felt the panic, as the demon and Rogue's eyes locked, and she could not break the gaze. She could do such a thing to her prey, and most people got caught anyway...a natural hypnosis technique that most vampires possessed, or just a slight pressure on the mind. But this was baring into her. Thinking on it now, it made her mad.
She ran her tongue over her teeth slowly while staring at the floor, making a slight grimace as her teeth elongated and she spliced her tongue, her own blood in her mouth. The wound quickly healed and she looked into Veroen's eyes. "I hope you know that you are welcome here, despite whatever past the coven has stained."

Veroen glanced at Gabriel as he walked in. However, the man stood quietly beside Rogue, and said nothing, so Veroen looked at Alexz after hearing her ask a question in his head.
"Doing better. Though I am still somewhat..." He paused for a moment. He hated admitting something like this. "...disabled. At least for the time being."
The Void chuckled. Veroen ignored it.
The assassin looked at Rogue with a somewhat curious expression. He couldn't put a finger on the scent of the Demon she spoke of....
"Did this Demon reveal his name?" Veroen asked curiously, trying to see if hearing the name would jog his memory.
He began to lose himself in his thoughts, going over past events and encounters with tainted. He then looked up at Rogue's last words. His face became calm and relaxed. "I appreciate the hospitality. It was not you who made the orders so long ago, so there is nothing to forgive." He finished the sentence with a slight smile.
"You are foolish to believe them, Assassin..." The dark whisper of the Void rang through the Assassin's mind. Veroen quietly ignored the dark whispers, and glanced toward Gabriel with a gleam of curiosity in his crimson eyes.

She met Gabriel's eyes with a kind welcoming gaze. Something about his presence was familiar to her. She watched him for a while, trying to recall any previous encounter, but came up with nothing.
"Welcome, Gabriel," she spoke softly, pulling his name from his mind.
As Alexz intercepted Rogue's thoughts, her eyes widened slightly. That was no standard Tainted, that was something much more. His intense hunger for the souls of others concerned her, especially since he had been able to pull Rogue into somewhat of a trance. She stayed silent, contemplating his origin and motive for returning to New York.
"He's incredibly dangerous," she stated, more to herself than to them.
"You're welcome to stay here as long as you feel is necessary," she said to Veroen.

She looked at Veroen's aura for a moment, her eyes glowing emerald. She felt the void within him, or, saw it rather. Like black flames on his aura, she knew there were stains on hers as well. She spoke directly to it inside her own mind. You cannot have me. She heard a cold chuckle, then its echoes.
She turned her eyes then to Gabriel. "You had better start talking." She wanted to know his past. Who this master was that he 'worked' for, and who was looking after her. She wanted to know why he knew what this demon was, and why it seemed to know Gabriel.

Veroen glanced towards Alexz with the same relaxed expression.
"Thank you. I am humbled by your hospitality." He said smoothly in his mind. He flashed a smile in her direction, before returning his gaze to Gabriel, curiosity eating at his stomach. He began to wonder who this silent Vampire was, and what his connection to the Coven was. Veroen had been in this Coven for quite some time, yet he had never seen this man. Veroen slightly raised an eyebrow, as his gaze was directed toward Gabriel, waiting for Gabriel to answer Rogues question.

Gabriel looked at Rogue with a mocked hurt expression at her haughty attitude. Then around the room at everyone looking at him and decided that something was better than nothing. At Alexz and the man he bowed slightly.
"Gabriel Valerius, born 65 A.D. died 110 A.D."
Rolling up his sleeve he revealed his Priory of Scion tattoo.
"I was a knight of the Priory of Scion an order tasked with the defense of many things pertaining to the God of the Covenant. I am the church's b*****d knight now. To make a long story short I broke the rules by having a family. They were killed and I got revenge. I died in the end however and continued to Hell and was met by Lucifer who offered a deal. I took it an became a vampire and for a thousand years I quenched my bloodthirst before being broke from the deal by Uriel. Now I am here in New York."
Pushing his sleeve back down he found himself a chair and sat down. This was probably going to a take a little while and it would be much more comfortable setting down. He was going to have to find something to eat afterwards, he was greatly hungry. Just when he thought things could not get any worse he had the feeling that he was not alone in his mind and looked at Alexz, but unfortunately it was not her no that would be to easy.
Watch what you say!
Father I have no intention of revealing your name.
That is not what I mean, not entirely. If you have to to stay close and alive then do it but you should know that he last time I was in New York I was turned to ash in a graveyard.
Now that was interesting news to him. A new found respect for the stubbornness of Da. Not even death could hold him for long but that would require dark evil magic...it also explained a lot. Part of the memories in the blood showed him to have been a much more loving person. Now Father had a much darker attitude...much more...evil. He brooded a lot and could be very very cold, human life seemed to mean little now unlike what it was before.
Also the girl Alexz is very powerful in the mind. I am shielding our conversation from her but it will be liken unto a static shield with two people talking behind it to her. She is very sensitive to these things. However she is trustworthy. Watch the male though, he has changed since I was there.
And again his presence was gone. Gabriel snapped to not realizing he had started to stare off as if daydreaming.

Alexz had never seen Veroen smile unless it was menacingly. She returned the smile with a bit of surprise in her eyes. As Gabriel began to speak, she turned to face him. Her cool expression did not falter as he revealed his past, which was rather interesting. He was certainly impressive individual, but he hadn't explained his motive for coming to New York.
"What is your business here in New York?" she asked calmly, her curious expression masking her suspicion.
The presence of a static shield within one of their minds alerted her. She looked from Rogue to Veroen but sensed no telepathic connection. She then looked from Rogue to Gabriel, expecting a private conversation between the two, but discovered the shield was not between any in the room. It was protecting something within Gabriel's mind.
Her eyes narrowed ever so slightly for a brief moment, "Rogue, are you sure he can be trusted?"

She shifted on her feet. "Alexz, would you get me a drink. Something a bit stronger," She nodded her head with a warm smile, basically asking for bottled blood in with whiskey that she knew was in a cabinet in the room. What unnerves me is that he is here to protect me under someone else's orders...his Father as he so says, but he has yet to reveal a name. He said the person who came before him was General Boris...the one I killed in his car...
I do not know what to make of him, but he protected me from the demon...She kept her eyes on Gabriel.
"Yes, please share your business here in New York."
She then spoke into Veroen's mind. Have you ever met this vampire before?

Veroen caught the glimpse of surprise in Alexz eyes. He wondered for a moment what was so surprising. However, he stared at Gabriel, curiosity growing. He almost reminded him of someone he had met once...
At that moment Rogue's voice popped into his head.
"No. I don't think I do. I cannot recall ever meeting this man."
Veroen glanced over to the cabinet that Rogue mentioned. The Assassin was still hungry, but he had been ignoring it.
"You met the demon they speak of, Assassin. You met him all those years ago when you and Alasdair disowned each other. Pity. Alasdair would have been able to show you that I am not so bad as you think...You two could have owned this city by now, had you not decided to go soft."
Veroen's eye twitched. Whenever he heard Alasdair's name, he wanted to brutally disfigure something. He clenched his jaw, but was silent, trying to keep calm and continue to ignore the Void.
However, Veroen's memory was renewed, and he remembered the face of the demon he encountered in central park.
"Shinigami..." he said softly under his breath, now recalling the Demon's name.
