((Okay, I'll describe the party place, I have a pretty good picture of one in my head, unless Minron wants to do that.))

((You could pm Minron and ask if it's okay. Maybe he is too busy to write or something like that.))

((Sorry for my absence, thought this RP died! Guess not.))

The party took place on a grass field right before the mountains and above was the pure blue sky with not a cloud in sight. The sun was just angled right so it didn't get into your eye or dim the world around it. Wooden picnic tables littered the area with food especially made by the party's host. The only thing that stood out in this arrange of tranquility was the host of the party, his hovering throne, and the demonic entrance of the labyrinth. The host Marquis was a dark abyss in an ocean of beauty that was nature and so were the entrance to the maze below that lead past the mountain and the very chair he sat in.

"They better get here soon, the food will get cold."

((I'm gone for about a week and this hasn't gone too far... Uhm, doesn't really help this got moved to intermediate without much notice either. ANyone else get confused at first?))

Firasi stumbled out of the woods with the party members following, Ansalath at his side. He was perhaps the only one whow as capable of staying at the same speed. His eyes darted about before finally landing on the table before him... and of course, Marquis. Data streamed back and forth his mind and the database. Marquis was not to be trifled with, but could be deleted just as easily as anyone here.

"Oh, my! Looks like we made it!" His head looked up at the timer as the clock finally reached zero and everything but the safe zone collapsed into nothingness. Only the party place and dungeon entrance remained quite safe in the zone that he had created. Firasi's eyes flashed at Marquis, a stern warning not to go overboard with anything too dangerous.

((Sorry, RL sucks at times))

Aansalath followed Firasi with a bored expression. He stood as the group came through to the feild. Sighing, he cursed the sun even though the shadows fell exactly where Aansalath wanted to sit. He headed towards the table. He muttered in French, wanting a fine woman around 20 years old to heat today. But no...he had to stick with deer and other lesser animals. "It certainly looks like we have made it," he responded with disdain.

((Ah, thought this rp was dead. Good to see you guys are still keeping it alive. :3))

Alora smiled slightly as they reached the party. At least they could catch their breath and get something to eat before moving on. Though, the healers smile soon faded away when she saw Marquis in his throne. Now, that's something that doesn't fit in. She just guessed that he was the host of the party. She was a bit nervous about him; he looked intimidating, and he probably was too. I hope this isn't some kind of trap... Alora flinched as everything but the safe zone collapsed, though she was already getting used to unusual things happening. She had seen black smoke leaking out of wounds, worm men, and talking, flying dragons made of bones! Alora glanced around at the others. "Yes..." She hesitated and looked up at Marquis. He would probably welcome them or something.

((Haha, finally we move ahead. This RP may turn out to be good after all. biggrin ))

Korsu jumped as Lord Marquis's party suddenly appeared in front of them. It was there the whole time, wasn't it? I mean, it couldn't have just 'poofed' out of thin air, right? Well, I guess anything is possible in this crazy world. Slowing down a casual lumber, which the other people would consider to be very slow, he looked up at the timer. Three seconds. Suddenly, he noticed that he was farther behind most of the others in the group, and he hurried his pace.
The timer hit zero, and Korsu tripped forward. As he stopped and looked back, he saw that everything a few inches behind him had just...disappeared. It had all faded into blackness; an infinite abyss. An abyss that he had nearly fallen into because he was too slow. Shuddering, he tried to regain his composure as he approached the site of the party.

Andy clutched his head and hissed quietly through his teeth. The headache was back, but this time, it felt different. Before, it felt like an emptiness, but now...
Seeing the Lord sitting ominously on his throne, he tried his hardest not to stare. Everything else around him seemed to be blurred out, as if Marquis was the focal point of the entire universe. In the back of his head, a sixth sense was trying to tell him something. Feelings were relayed to him. Pain. Torture. Brutality. Death. There was a voice in his head, and it was trying to tell him that this man was not quite mortal; this man was, in fact, not quite a man. Is this one of my powers? Andy thought through his clouded mind. Sensing evil spirits?

The pillar of worms once more quickly spiraled out of the ground, forming the thing Known as Ixpath. Far above, a glint of blue led credence to the fact that Callibretto was still there.
"It seems i am... Late. Fortunately for me, and unfortunately for you, the Nether could not get its grasp on me. Not yet, i say."
The scythe shot out of the ground, and was grasped by the tentacles that made up his hand.
Turning his gaze on Andy, he put a link between the two with a wave of his hand. A feeling of black fire, and then 'I don't mean to sound cliched, but i have a bad feeling about this. Think back at me to respond.'
"Lord... The hive must ask you a question. Why have you summoned us? What is going on? And how much time will you give us?"

((Took you guys a while... I was considering necromancy.))

((Like Faust from Shamen King? =D))

Kiba blink, staring at the food. She hadn't had any food since they had gotten here. Did they still need to eat? She looked around. There was a very evil looking man sitting in the center of this place. Could they be any more obvious? I mean clearly he was an evil overlord of some short... So why wasn't he hiding that fact... Maybe he was really powerful? Like he could kill all of them with the flick of the wrist just like the messenger. What kind of evil overload throw a party just to kill all of the guests? A very messed up one... This game was getting better as they went along. And fighting the army, had helped Kiba get a bit more of a handle on her powers.

((Sorry, I got back my 360 and haven't been on Gaia much.))

"Welcome Players! I'm Lord Marquis and you are my humbled guests. Feel free to eat; I want you all to before my game."

Marquis stood from his throne and bowed before sitting back down; he was after all still a man of honor despite the corruption. The food was a bit cold due to the wait, but it was one hundred percent free of corruption; Marquis had to wear oven mitts so he didn't taint the food and so did his minions that prepared it. The players each were unique and all stood out in the own way, which Marquis preferred among his victims so he could remember them properly. Marquis was already planning on what to take from each one as a trophy so he could remember their valor and courage or their stupidity and foolishness in battle if they didn't make it through the maze.

A lullaby for you.
Don't you worry baby, I'll be here by your side
May tomorrow be wonderful too.
Close to you I hope to stay,
Endlessly from today,
Even through cloudy days, You are not alone.

((I get that. I'm getting a PS3 for Christmas. <3))

A lullaby for you.
Stars will always gracefully watch over 'til it's bright.
May tomorrow be wonderful, too.
Take my hand and promise me that we'll be alright.
Finding a place to feel at home, You are not alone.

((AH! I won't let this die! NEVARH! Ò-Ó))

Alora hesitatingly took a seat at the table and looked at the others, hoping they would too. Mostly, she avoided taking choices herself. She would rather wait for the others to take action first, but in this case, she wanted to start eating soon instead of just standing there. Alora glanced up at Marquis. The more I look at him, the more suspicious this seems. I really do hope this isn't a trap. She shuddered slightly, not daring to eat anything. And what is this game he is talking about? Doesn't sound good.

((Pff, this thread is not going to die. It's just a little slow, that's all.))

Andy snapped out of his trance as Ixpath's ominous voice filled his head. Now this was a neat little trick. He replied in the same way. 'Heh, if a black-magic-wielding worm man has a bad feeling about something, it must be really bad. I'm getting weird vibes from this guy...something isn't right with his soul.' Seeing Alora sit down, he followed her example. He mustered up whatever respect seemed necessary, and thanked Lord Marquis for the food with a smile. Taking a seat near the middle of the table, he looked over the selection. It really was a delicious-looking feast. At least it didn't seem to be corrupted like Marquis.

"Hurry up and eat, you all kept me waiting quite awhile and my servants are probably getting impatient."

Marquis swirled his cup that he had in his right hand; the cup seemed to be filled with a black wine that created a purple mist when he stirred it swirling the wine cup to give it flavor. Marquis took a sip by tilting the cup and pouring the win into the right eye socket of his helmet. It was odd if somehow Marquis could drink like that, though most of Marquis seemed odd already. The cup he used was more like a goblet, but the attacked skulls and red jewels gave it a cup feel.

Aansalath sat in a chair, a leg up on one arm, looking very bored indeed. This chair certainly was smaller than he was used to, but he'd have to deal. Don't suppose there's a lovely young twenty year old woman for me to feast on? he thought to himself. Outwardly he sighed, but he was determined to act the good guy. He didn't want to eat the human food, not to insult Marquis, but because he didn't want to have to vomit it up later. He did pick up a goblet to take in the scent of the wine. It was a very good year, Marquis hadn't skimped.

Ixpath slithered into a chair, sitting as far away from everyone as possible. This did not look good. At least he could refresh the book while he was there, and Callibretto had made it out. The left hand flipped off his arm and proceeded to get very drunk. It doesn't take much to get a worm drunk. He had already eaten, and the food was not still alive. Not good for his essence, definitely.

'Yes, he seems... Corrupted. Either undead or a servant of a dark god, highly advanced. Either that or he has a particular fondness for Blood magic. Nasty stuff. I tend to stay away from it.'
