Kal-El wanted to say more to Kara, but she blasted off before he could get a word in edgewise. Where had that new costume come from? And had she always been that fast? How long had she been holding that back? "No." Superman said to himself "I may be unobservant sometimes, but there's no possible way I could have missed that." Briefly, he considered following Kara, and trying to get more info, but she was already out of sight, and there were obviously people in need of his help here, from the air, the entire place looked like a warzone, with fires and sirens blaring everywhere one could care to look. Kara had said he should find a magic user if he wanted to help, "Well, It does sound like a good start I suppose.." Superman thought dubiously. So he briefly paused in an attempt to use his Super-hearing to pick up the familiar sounds of chanting and spell speak. (Familiar after so much time being assaulted by enemies seeking to exploit his magic weakness and after so much time with Zatanna and Dr. Fate)

Unfourtunately, as soon as Superman used his hearing, he was hit with a mind-numbingly painful wave of sound. Vaguely he thought he could pick out alarms and gunshots accompanying it, but for the most part, it was just the noise. "What is that?" Superman thought. "There's no way I can focus with whatever that is going on, I'd better check it out." Superman flew almost instantaneously down familiar streets, (stopping occasionally to rescue someone trapped in a crashed car or to hang a looter from his jacket on a lamp post by the police station) and withing fifteen seconds he found himself inside one of the Metropolis branches of Lexcorp bank, there was a man dressed in what looked like a yellow quilt blasting away at the vault door. Some police officers and guards lay scattered at the Yellow thief's feet. Superman hesitated for a split second, it always felt a little wrong, stopping someone from stealing Luthor's money, but after all, this guy was clearly hurting innocent people, and that alone meant that it didn't matter what this character was doing. Civilian endangerment was where Superman drew the line.

"Excuse me." Superman said, hovering about ten feet off the ground and glaring down at shocker with his arms folded over the yellow "S" sheild on his chest. "I don't know what universe you're from, But stealing is against the law here in metropolis, and if you're trying to make a deposit, then you need wait in line like everyone else."

[enter Hybrid]

Hybrid looked around, and was scared by what they saw. They weren't in the Bed-Sty area of Brooklyn anymore; they were somewhere completely different. They didn't recognise it at all.
'Where am I?' Scott Washington thought to himself.
'We don't know...' came the reply from the symbiote voices, sounding off at the same time.
Hybrid looked up in the sky, getting a strange sensation, the same one that happened whenever there was something that could harm him nearby. He saw a blonde woman in a strange costume flying overhead. The costume had a quality about it... Something familiar... VERY familiar...
'We need to reach her...' came one of the voices.
'She is from here...' came another.
'She can tell us where we are...' came a third.
'She might even be able to help us...' came the last.
'Then that's what we'll do...' Scott thought, letting the symbiotes know his mind. He didn't need to speak out loud; they were one, so they could hear his thoughts, as he hears theirs. No secrets in a symbiotic relationship.
He began climing the builing he was nearby, then gave up on catching up to her that way. Instead, he began using symbiote web strands to swing from building to building, and when he finally gained enough height, he made a gliding membrane out of some of his symbiote and glided toward her.
"Excuse me, miss! We need some help!" they cried out.

Superman noted that the man was raising his arms, quietly, he tsked to himself. "They never stop trying things like that, do they?" he thought. Rather than stand there and take the brunt of the sonic blast (he was fairly certain he could take it, but he didn't want to run the risk of going deaf) he zipped behind the shocker before the sound waves had reached his previous position. Then, he reached out over the Shocker's shoulder and grabbed his gauntlets, applying relatively gentle preassure to them, to avoid crushing the criminal's wrists to powder with his gauntlets."Sorry about that" Superman said "The neigbors were complaining about the noise."

"AAagh!" Superman reeled at the sudden and unexpected feedback, stuttering back two steps. "Must've been some kind of emergency-force field" he thought to himself. Out loud he said "I thought that I made that part clear already, I'm taking you in, now you can come along quietly or you can force me to use more drastic measures." As he said this, he began targeting the shocker's other gauntlet with his eyes. He allowed them to glow red as his heat vision began to charge.

Reaper stood there quietly and watched the two for a moment. His scythe did nothing on the girl, so he doubted it would do much on this man. All he really needed was a blood donation and he'd be able to extract the powers from that. He doubted that he could just ask the guy to cut himself so he could steal some of his blood.
The other man seemed to be just that. He relied on his equipment to fight. The man with the cape would be the only one he could get power from here.



Kara slowed down enough to see who had called out to her. From the look of it, it was another one of those creatures. A symbiote. For a moment she just wanted to zip away from it, she needed to get rid of the one she had. She didn't need to deal with another one.
But then who better to help her get rid of it than another symbiote. He might be able to help her as well. "What do you need?" she asked, keeping a bit of distance between them in case something did happen.

Hybrid went around in a circle, descending. "Land, please, we can't fly. We can only glide, so hovering is not an option for us." With that, they dropped straight down, pulling up in time to land feet-first. They were grateful for that ability, but sometimes they wished they actually could fly... It would make cleaning up Brooklyn so much easier. But first, they needed to get BACK to Brooklyn. They looked up, waiting for Supergirl to land.
