((What are YOU doing here o0? 0o!? *glomp*))
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 12:36 am

(Also, please don't project on Vala just because he calls you out. I get rather fed up with people assuming he's a tyrant or that he's anything like his character. He's a really nice, sensible person and I count him off as one of my good friends. If you have a dispute with someone, you can settle it elsewhere. Vala's been targeted for godmoding in the past, but that doesn't make it right to point fingers when you pulled an army out of your arse and assumed another character was afraid of yours.)

*Edited by Val'atar (Just to clear this up, the only situation that I've ever been accused of anything.. was the whole UoE thing and that was just me as a Crew trying to explain our setting and them not liking it. There was no God-moding nor even accusations of it until just now by Izaran, to which I'd say the following..

Greater Dispel is a spell from the D&D books and its effects are plain.. its within the rules and perfectly legal and honestly a viable answer to a magical obscurement. Any Drow general worth his stripes would know that and see to it that the mages cast it. With the post I made the open ended "There is a chance" comment so that if an enchantment is particularly strong of a person felt they should not be effected for whatever reason that I might not know.. they could do so.)

Blaze was walking down the street when he felt a forboding evil nearby. looking down, he saw a small spider glaring at a gathering of drow. feeling a sense of duty to his goddess, he raised his foot to crush the arachnid.

((note that as I am a surface drow, my senses aren't as keen as most others. I do not know who the spider is.))

((Arguments out of character tend to ruin roleplays. crying I'm not going to say anything further.))

Chalthara nodded in response to her teacher, but said nothing. It seemed somewhat strange to her that he'd brought an entire army for a dowry, but she had no grounds for questioning his methods. She was unfamiliar with the concept of marraige, being of the nobility. Her mother had never taken a formal husband, so it wasn't as if she'd seen many examples of weddings and such taking place.

Her silence and lack of argument usally allowed her to have a better grasp on situations. She was not so emotionally charged, nor did she ignore certain important environmental factors.

In this case, the environmental factor was a small black spider skittering about on the cavern floor -- and a male drow poised above it, perfectly content to end its life. Though her religious devotion had been...lacking as of late, the years of indoctrination and training she had recieved hadn't quite left her. A spider, to her, was still a creature that should be left alive. She had always had the habit, even in her state of exile, of leaving them alive. It would not be so much a sin to kill a spider as an oddity. She didn't like oddities.

"You!" she said to Blaze, robes swishing as she approached him accusingly. "Have you any idea what you're about to do?"

Old habits do tend to die hard.

Blaze stared at the women without flinching. destroying the symbol of my godesses enemy" he said coldly. he stomped his foot down with out another thought only to be shocked by the lack of a squishing noise. he lifted his foot to see the spider still intact and very angry. He drew his swords and backed up knowing that only that no ordinary spider could survive that. he whispered to himself "Lolth"

A smile crept over Chalthara's lips at the spider's survival. She should have known it wouldn't be so easily taken down. "Your Goddess? That was quite an unwise thing to say," she muttered, with a shadow of a laugh. "Some would find problems with a declaration of allegience to another deity. Especially that spider there. I'd be careful."

She allowed the smile to broaden as he took out his swords. It would certainly be interesting to watch him try and fend off such a small creature with them.

((Fire Eater Man and Revain, Eclavice, Teh Grammer Police, the spider, and myself happen to be LOCKED OUTSIDE of the city, so I don't see how you would be interacting with us, or the spider. Just my input.))

Eclavice
Eclavice took a moment to consider what she had just heard. The magic would not affect them since they were not of this world, so it was a perfect plan, but still. Could she be trusted? Was there much of a choice? This was her only way in so apparently the answer was clear. Although, there was still the consent of Izaran. How would he fair with the sacrifice of his soldiers.

Eclavice was being punished for a crime she had not committed. A traitor? NO. She allied with force, a force she did not NEED them. And after what had just occurred she would rather not have anything more to do with this man and his army. So far all they have accomplished to do is get he locked from her own home.

She did not need his consent nor his force. "Izaran, I now declare the alliance at an end. Not to ensure my entrance, but rather to keep anymore incidents from happening. I see that this problem rests on your shoulders not the least bit mine." Eclavice stated, pushed by her pride not to be the one at fault and not to be assumed it will happen again.

Eclavice stepped away from him and his army, now and forever and approached the demoness. "Your conditions are understood and will be answered, but with MY soldiers. I have a large force and 300 will not be such a lost, besides,"She said with a grin. "they are just males."Eclavice was ready to be home. So much to be done. Already she was feeling the symptoms of betrayal. No to to the city, but of religion. Kiaransalee betrayed by not answering her and Eclavice planned to return the favor.

She must be reunited with her home and from there she would better plan, although right now she had no idea what would happen. Valatar probably already has the whole city against her on a false accusation by now. The plan she already had would seem like traitor, but only in a religious fashion, which considering Valatar does not seem to be faithful to any drow god and Llmyrn was open to all deities, it should not be problem. Although considering who the city ruler his, you can never be sure what will happen.

{{edited: Dont not assume it was changed due to anyting other then it is just my character is and this works.....>> or atleast I don't think so.}}

-As Matron Derehel steps away from the enemy forces and declares hersefl absolved to the alliance with the forces of Izaran.. a small crack begins to appear in the gate, widening as a detachment of shadows marches out towards her. They wore only the circlets of House Druu'giir and carried long black spears, but each was a powerful and devastating force to be sure. The leader of the group motions them to a stop, though they made no noise in their approach, then he walks closer to the matron and bows, speaking in a harsh whisper-
"I was left instructions by the Lord Druu'giir that should you absolve your entanglement with the enemy, you were to be escorted inside safely and taken to wherever you wished once inside the gates. Patron Druu'giir also bid us to fight for your safety should your former allies attempt revenge for your change of heart."
-The shadow continues to kneel, awaiting her decision, its senses focused on the other soldiers as well as the infernal creature who stood nearby-

The fog she had created began to dissapate without her own manipulation, but the demoness let it pass. You're a bunch of nosey little vermin aren't you? She thought to herself, her attention directed on the place where the spell casters had been moments before, no doubt ready and waiting. "Your lucky I have no intention of interfering with your life. " She hissed under her breath. "Yet."

She continued to glare into the spot, the only thing standing out to those spell casters, was her crimson glower, reflecting the fire of Hell. Her nose quivered as she inhaled their scent, she would track them down later and pick them off one by one for bothering her.

However, something else seemed to pull her attention away, and it was drawn to a little spider that was near the matron. One of her snowy white brows rose in curiosity, this was no coincidence. Hmmm, seems Miss Spider has taken an interest as well. She didn't have time to ponder what this could mean as the elf's next words took her by surprise. "They were serious I see, when they called you elves a capricous race." She said a bit amused by the sudden change of alliances.

Her head tilted to the side at the woman's strange remark, her brows furrowed with appearent confusion. "Only....males?" She questioned. In Athura's world, men were the dominant sex, not the females. She could not know however, that this race of elves roles were flipped. The demoness let the question go though, pleased that she would still be receiving the due she asked for.

It was short lived however, when her pointed ears picked up a cracking sound. She looked back over her shoulder at the cause of the noise, her gaze held a deep annoyance and her lip curled at what she saw come out. She didn't feel threatened by their presence, so much as she was annoyed by it.

Athura saw that her play time had come to end for now, she paused by the woman's ear to whisper. Her lips seemed to barely move as she spoke. "It seems that I am not the only one interested in this affair elf. Lolth is watching as well. If you ever need any assistence, depending on what it is, all you need do is call for me."

She snapped around and floated towards the shadows, and it seemed as if she was about to run into them. Below her dainty toes a portal began to form. The hole was small at first but then began to widen, ready to swallow Athura whole. The smell of brimstone filled the surrounding area, and flames jumped forth, dancing their way out. Slowly, the demoness lowered herself into the portal, and as her waist disappeared from view she said, "For a price." And then she was gone. A deep, sinister chuckle echoed from the closing portal.

The queen was still chuckling when she reappeared on her perch from before. She sat on her slender rump, her tail layed limp by her side. Her fingers tapped the rock absentmindly as she thought on in silence, and she remained in that pose for a while. Finally, the silence ended as she asked a simple question.

"Duana, tell me...what is my son up to?"
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 6:29 pm

Matron Derahel stood unmoving as the demon whispered into her and took note of everything that was said. A smirk crossed her face at the thought. She would indeed be seeing the demoness again.

She watched in wonder as Athra lifted up into the shadows. A portal soon formed and the demoness began to become engulfed only to pause with the statement of price. "I know." She whispered to herself and then the woman was gone.

As the laughter of the passing demon faded the group of Valatar's shadows come through the gate. At first she was alarmed and unsure of the approach and within a blink of an eye she retrieved both her swords from her cloak of limitless space. She shot a hiss in their direction and growled as the leader of the detachment approached. She expected an attack but instead he was at her feet in a bow with the announcement Valatar had instructed him to give. She relaxed her blades at her sides ,but did not put them away.

She stood straight and glowered down at the shadow, her face holding a prideful, determined appearance. "Why ever would you Lord think I need protection from his pawns against such a pathetic force?" She questioned with a hint of venom. She did not want an escort, she knew the way, however she knew that was not their purpose.

Eclavice returned the blades to their place within the hidden, magic folds of endless capacity to appear unarmed. She straightened her corset and walked defiantly passed the leader and right into the mist of the others, her boots silent as she stepped. "Well,.... escort."
