"Uh, guys, problems."Erik said as he pointed out towards the horizon. Siege towers, Catapults, and about 3000 infantry were heading straight for the town. "They sent backup. We're absolutely ********." Erik knew that there was nothing they could do. The team was dropping from exhaustion, many had suffered injuries, and even he was running out of steam. Erik had one last trick. It came at the highest price, however. He snuffed out his claw, refocusing his energy, but this time, the attack was much more powerful. A ball of light gathered in his hand. Erik knew there was no backing out now. If he let the power go before he wanted to, it would destory everything, and leave only a 5 mile deep crater as proof of their existance. "Light...Light...LIGHTSHATTER!!!" The ball of light exploded, engulfing everything, including the reinforcements that were sent. As it passed over the hunters, it knocked them out. They wouldn't awake for several hours. As the light passed over the elementals, it healed them. As it passed over the Hellspawn, it disentigrated them, leaving nothing behind. As the light dissapated, Erik fell to the ground.
The LightShatter is the most powerful ability that any user of light can hope to achieve, but it came at a huge price:death. The LightShatter uses all the energy in the human body, even the energy needed to keep the heart, brain, lungs, and all other nessacary organs running. After using the LightShatter, failures of all the organs immediately follows. Only one man had ever survived its use. Erik was not one of them. It took him 10 seconds until he died.
((Yup, I just killed myself off. So, this is the last post Erik will ever be involved in))

((great we're without a leader... YET AGAIN...)) Zack and James felt renewed as the light touched them.
Zack held to Leila, before seeing Erik. He whispered out in shock, "Erik's... dead," he couldn't believe it.
James saw Erik lying on the floor, and although his powers can reverse time itself, death, still gripped bodies through time passage. So he knew reverseing time wouldn't even revive him. He sighed at the death, it was sad, he almost liked the guy. "I... believe we hould get moving," he said after a few seconds. "It's what Erik would've done, and it's what I'm gonna do. Beside's without him, we can only guess where Saint Dane is," he added, reminding them all of the powerful enemy they had to face.

((Awww, oh well. Is this like part of some plan you have for the future? Well, whatever you do, it should be good ^_^))
Leila laughed at his joke, then immediately felt her energy come back to her as the light fell upon her and Zack. When she looked to scan her surroundings, her eyes became wide. Erik was on the ground. Dead. As Zack held onto her, she couldn't help but let a few tears fall. "It's not fair," She whispered as she leaned into Zack arms, wrapping her own arms around his warm torso

Lonesome was still in his blood lust when he saw the girl from earlier up now and painting with the blood of the fallen. He let his blood lust fade a little when all of a sudden a warm light engulfed his body. As the light faded he noticed the demons around him were gone, and one of the people he had seen in the forest with the other elementals was on the ground, from the looks of it dead. He looked over and saw the huntress knocked out but from where he stood he could see her breathing. He noted the other elementals were alright one was talking about moving the group on.
Lonesome began to use his wind powers to lift debris off the poor people of the ravaged town. With some sadness he noted that some of the people he helped began to eye him nervously, he had forgotten to cover his horns again. He didn't let the stares get to him as he continued to lift debris. It would take some time for this town to rebuild.

Zack held let his arms drape around her, his chest being her pillow to cry on. He sighed, "I know it's not," he replied, trying his hardest to soothe her. His own eyes were filling with tears.
James turned to what seemed to be a demon still standing, he directed the wind with such fluidity though that... That must be the wind elemental, he decided as he judged the ma-...demon. "Hey, are you coming with us? We could use a little help being that we just lost one of our best members," he stated as he offered an invitation, metaphorically, to join them. James looked at the demon with serious eyes, they needed all the elementals to defeat... no, have a chance at defeating this Saint Dane, but he didn't need an elemental running into the darkness blind. He wanted anyone and everyone that would join to know the poosibility of death, that was proven by Erik. He didn't need any allies' blood on his hands.

((Ahahahaha! There is no need to worry, if you put this story and my personal story on the same timeline, then you'll notice I already killed Erik off once! He will return, and he'll be much cooler then before.))
Where...where...where the heck am I?Erik was trying to say it out loud, but his mouth wouldn't open. His eyes did. All he saw was a never ending expanse of white. The first thing he noticed is that he wasn't breathing, nor did he need to. Weird... He remembered the past events, and then remembered that he had used the LightShatter. If he could have spoken, he would have groaned. Oh well. At least the battle for that town had gone in the element's favor. He stood up, and then heard a voice behind him:"The LightShatter. Made to be the ultimate sacrifice. Only one man ever survived it's use." Erik slowly turned around, grasping for a weapon, but he had none. He looked at the man who had spoken. He looked old. There was no other way to describe him. He wore a long, flowing white robe, and had white hair and a white beard. Erik wanted to speak, but again, his mouth wouldn't open. The man smiled. "You are no doubt discovering that you cannot speak. You can't speak when you get to heaven. It helps you to listen. I am the one who created the sword that Saint Dane wields. In that sword, I placed all the power of darkness that was left in the world. But Saint Dane tricked me into giving him that sword. I chased after him, but he defeated me, and killed me. After that, I did nothing but wait here for the one who would have the power to defeat him and destroy that dammed sword. You are that one." Erik had so many questions, but he decided to start with the easiest he could think of. "Where..." "Where am" "Where am I?" he finally managed to say. The man smiled. "You are in the kingdom of the Good Lord. That is to say, you are dead, and in Heaven."
((I've decided to put the story I'm creating in my journal. It'll take a few days to set things up, though.))

He was in the middle of moving a fallen roof when he heard a voice. Turning he noticed the one who had been urging them to move on, talking to him. He finished moving the roof and walked over to the guy. "I'm not leaving until this town gets at least some sense of order. If you'd like to help I'm sure this community would appreciate it." he said simply as he returned to moving debris. Loneosme soon took his cloak off completely and set my sword off to the side with it so that he could work better.

((sweet, then we'll use what Lonesome says and stay put,)) James growled as he heard the Wind elemental's task and knew they needed him, so they had no choice but to help. "Alright everyone, let's help, what's-his-name get all this stuff cleaned up. Zack, I'd like you me and Atrum to work on moving things back where they need to be and molding them in place... Leila may join us," he added as he saw Zack's glare, "Raine, try and resupply this town with the water source they once had, ask any one of the citizen's to figure out what it was. Arabella, I have a special task for you, soon as we're finished with putting the place back together, I want every citizen to forget this ever happened," he demanded. "Mizuki... you are a solo act, as I have personally learned, so do what you wish to help," he replied, hopeing she'd join them in their team. James felt like the second in command, guy. Which was okay with him, he just hoped everybody did what he asked. He sped himself up and began placeing brick's back together, rebuilding some building's from literally the ground up.
Zack nodded in approval of the plan. He began to move things to their previous places, returning the town to it's formal glory. He did this with his powers as her held Leila, he wanted to make sure she was okay.

Atrum closed his eyes, the familiar feeling of being coated with light making him smile as the burst washed over him. It had to be Erik that created the blast, no one else could work with a light source that large, with that kind of power. The blonde opened his eyes when the light faded away, looking to the source of healing explosion for his comrade. "Erik?" The boy called, now confused. He didn't see him standing anywhere. When he finally spotted him, lying there so still, he stood paralyzed. 'Is he dead? Is he... dead? His mind echoed rephrases of that same awful question enough to make him sick. The light shimmered around the boy, and it slowly flickere over Erik, as if searching for a movement of anykind. A breath, a faintly beating pulse. The light faded, then dimmly reapeared in Atrum's hand as he awaited it's return. It glowed and faded, almost as if was sad. 'Is he dead? Is he... dead?[i]Nothing...[i/] is what he knew it was telling him. Erik was dead. Looking down, Atrum sniffled, taking a breather to calm himself down. The boy had never lost a friend before, especially in battle. It was something the kid was now learning the hard way. It being the fact people die in battle all the time. This time, Erik didn't make it out. Looking at his surroundings, he saw every single eney from this battle was gone. Even Valencia had keeled over, though he knew not if she was alive. He couldn't get himself to care. It took a push to get himself moving again, but he did, looking over to James when he was telling people...something. The boy didn't quite catch on to what he said, so he helped him work on the reconstructing effort. Though his element wasn't very helpful in this area, so he just hauled what he could into their pre-assorted piles.

The light pass through my body as it did with all the other elementals. I watched as the human boy dropped to his ending. No tears came, it wasn't sad. As a vampire, when you're drinking one's blood, it meant someone had to die for it or had to experience near death states. Death was nothing new. Watching the elementals reactions, I saw nothing that should make them feel as they should. I didn't listen to what the other elemental had to say.
Another thing that has to be done was to guide the lost souls. The demons that died, they were the souls of the dead who hated till there death, eventually, turning from a hateful spirit, into a beast of destruction. Saint Dane, my father had talked of him before. If my memories aren’t wrong, Saint Dane who was also known as one of the prime evils, is a spirit that hadn't crossed fully over to the beast stage. Collecting darkness to his spirit as time went on. The spiritual elemental, does she know that she is closes in relation power wise with the dark, light, and celestial elemental? They should also help with the guiding of the souls. But what they choose to do had nothing to do with me. As I kept talking to myself, I didn't notice I had reached over to Atrum.
Whatever, I grab onto Atrum and pulled him away from what he was doing. Taking his hand, I placed it to what he might see as just an empty space of air, but I reached over to his ear and whispered. "Tell your light to let you see them." What most couldn't see, unless they were spiritual in some kind of way was being able to see the spirits and souls wandering around lost. As a vampire, I couldn't do much, I can not feel or touch them, nor speak with most of them. But those whose powers deal more heavily on it could. That includes light, dark, spiritual, celestial and partially of metal and time. They might not realize it yet.
The space of air I had place Atrum's hands was on top of a spirits head that belonged to a baby. Spirits appear as they normally would, not how they had died. They may go to their loved ones, or descend to heaven. There was many ways for a spirit to go. But some are lost and aren’t able to get on the right path. Some develop hatred or frustration trying to find the way, only to turn into the beast that attacked the town today.
Pulling away from Atrum, I walked away; the crimson hue of the town was slowly changing away. More and more spirits starts to appear. "Tell me where your bodies are." I start burying the dead bodies away. After doing so, I pointed towards Atrum. "Ask him for the path. He will guide where you really should be." I watched a defiant spirit go else where. Getting up, I followed it. It was a lady in her mid thirties. Dark blond hair descended to her bosom. I followed her to the inn I had protected all this time. Dismissing the mist, I walked in, the people where safe and some had mixed expressions. I watched the spirit go to the girl that had held onto her mother from much earlier ago. Her mother had died, and refused to leave. Going over to the girl, I kneeled down to her level. She cried and cried, holding onto her mother, rocking back and forth screaming for her return. "Don't make her worry and cry by watching like this. She's gone and there is nothing you can do about it. If you love her, live your life and be thankful that she gave birth. Make her happy that she gave birth to a strong child and not a coward that needs her mommy.

Atrum whirled around, not quite out of his fighting mindset. When it was Mizuki, he calmed, but cringed at the chilly breath that met his ear. She wanted him to let him command his light to do something. He wasn't quite sure what it was, and opened his mouth to ask, See what? But Mizuki had already left, seemingly talking to the air. The boy was startled, and still a bit mistified from the battle and sudden deaths that came with it. It took him longer than it should have to think over what she ahd said and connect it to her actions and words. The boy, still not sure of what he had been asked to do held out his hands, whispering small questions and commands at it, watching it flicker and glow. One thing he loved about his element, was the way it listened to him. Even if he was confused, even if he wasn't quite up to par with his requests, it listened, and worked with him no matter what it was he asked. Let me see them... The light flickered in front of him, almost taking in his unsureity and making it its own. Atrum didn't know what he was requesting, and his element knew that. It didn't want to do anything but protect it's commander, but an order was an order.... Atrum felt a scream in his throat as he was engulfed by blinding light, then thrown into nothingness. The boy shivered, where was he? That's when he realized his eyes were still close, partially blinded by his own element for a moment. Well, one eye was blinded. The other took in the light and showed him what he wanted to see. His gold eye sparkled, a part of his element instilled into himself. That eye was his spiritual gateway to light, his way of being able to see the dead and other spiritual beings. Too bad Atrum wasn't fully aware of that... He knew he was blind in one eye, but in the other... he could see what he knew didn't really exist in reality...but in his arms lay a small figure. A baby. And she was lost, he knew it. Her eyes were wide and fearful, like she was unsure of what to do next. Now was when Mizuki's words were starting to make sense. She had told the spirits to come his way, so he could ...Guide you where you really should be... Mizuke's request to the lost spirits made sense now. "Y-you... you don't belong here on earth a-anymore..." His voice shuddered with unsurity and pain for this small child. Her life had been taken in this battle, and he had been a part of it. "You belong in heaven now, you'll be safe there. Your family... your family will be there with you in time." He didn't know if the little baby in his arms understood him, but she let out a small coo and faded. Just like the light. But he was bombarded with screams and cries of "Where am I?" and "What happened to me?" Where's my mommy?" "I can't see my baby! My ba-" Atrum let out a yell, screaming for the voices to stop That's when the world snapped back into place, and a bright, but not as breathtakingly light as before. Not enough to feel blind. The baby was gone, the voices were gone, and everything was where it was before. "Wh-hat?" The boy took a breath, gulping in air. He hadn't remembered breathing in the state he was previously in. "How do I help them all?"

[[whoa late post on my part now. ;>.> & a long one xD wait is the girl a real one or a spirit? if its a spirit then i'll do some editing to my post. ]]
Arabella read Erik's thoughts as he used Light Shatter. "Don't Do It" She Screamed too late. He couldn't have heard her because of the sounds all around at the time. It was all too powerful. She watched as Erik's body collapsed to the ground in a wounded heap. Tears streaming down her face. She wished she could have gotten to him sooner. Arabella's head shot up from command was given to her by James. "I'll... try..." Was all that she could get out. Arabella was unsuccessful with erasing Valencia's memories but Valencia was special & more powerful than a average person. Plus she was only erasing the bits that were damaging to them. Instead she replaced it with a really bad forest fire went through the town & it almost destroyed the town. "Ok, I erased everything about us & the hunters & the fight & such. I replaced it with a bad forest fire to explain the damage to the town. Do you think thats good enough?" Arabella said to James. Her face still a bit wet from tears. Arabella hated losing her friends so it was still hard for her.
Rayne watched as Erik's body crumbed to the ground. Her eyes grew wide. He had sacrificed himself for us. He was very noble indeed. Rayne took a deep breath and kept silent for her friend. Her head jolted up, upon the request of James. "Can Do" Rayne felt bad cause she had to use the towns water for the fight. Rayne ran into the forest and was carrying a large amount of water in the air. There were few wells in the town. Rayne filled each one to about the top. 'There should be more than enough now' Rayne thought. Rayne was then in urge of blood. She was still half-vampire. She was extremely low. She went to forest & found a deer & drank. How could Rayne be drinking blood when her friend just died. This occurred to her and she found it obnoxious of her. Rayne felt that she should take care of life from now on. She walked back to where she saw Mizuki and Atrum. She saw the young girl that they were hovering over. She wanted to help that girl. "I want to help this girl." Rayne said. Rayne smiled down at the little girl. The girl who had dark blonde hair, just like her mother who was lying dead beside the girl. Rayne wanted to cry. This girl was in a similar situation that she was once in.

"You can help her by getting to shut up and get over it." I stood up and walk out of the inn. They don't need to understand, they have her to help now. I walk back to where Atrum was, just to see how he was doing. It can be scary, seeing things your not suppose to see all at once. But it becomes scarier when there is something you want to see, but can't.
"Stop!" I rush over towards Atrum, hearing him scream; when I arrived I could see his lips quiver. "How do I help them all?" My worried eyes calms down and I walk over to him.
"It's scary isn't it, you see them all and you want to help them... Sorry I told them to come to you. But I don't have the power to do it my self..." I glanced at him and looked him in the eyes. Gate way, it was locked up until now. He hasn't seen it at all until now. "If you want to help them, I suggest you try asking either dark, spiritual or the celestial elementals. They may know if they had already went towards that stage already. If they haven't... Ask your light. They are your friends, guiders and protectors. It's something that will help you when you need it. Such as now."

((sweet, celestial powers rule. first space now spirit guiding, this is definately getting iinteresting.)) Zack looked down at Leila, "Baby, I need to help the other elementals, will you be okay without me for about 10 minutes?" he asked realizing the spirits of the dead were probably confused and needed guidance. He hadn't done t often, but he knew how to guide them, so he figured he'd help Atrum and Mizuki.
James saw everyone doing what was needed to help the town, so he grinned. The team was beginning to come together. It was quite interesting how different they were, and yet how connected they had become. He turned to Arabella as she asked for his approval and nodded, "That should be fine, thank you," he replied to her effort.

[[ i might make this girl another character.... not sure yet. ]] 'ouch' Rayne thought. Mizuki was pretty cold to the girl. But Rayne understood that she had reason to be. "It's ok." Rayne said to the girl. "Shes in a better place now" Rayne was on her knees & eye level to the dark blond girl. Rayne held out her hand and smiled and said "Come on" The girl slowly took Rayne's hand. Rayne hugged the little girl. "I know what your going through." Rayne patted the girls back as she cried lightly. "I was in a situation like yours. Now do you have a father?" The girl with no words just shook her head 'no'.
