Ambrose Maurlias
BEACH BAR TRUTH OR DARE!

Part 1

Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose picks up a glass, wandering around behind the bar. It certainly was busy that night - everyone seemed to respond to a calling of the alcohol. He smiled, rememerbing the last time something happened like that. "Hey guys.. how about a game of Truth or dare?" He grinned wolfishly. Looking quickly over to Amaya, who had been quiet almost every time he'd seen her lately. "Amaya! Truth or dare?"
Antony:Antony raised an eyebrow from her corner. "I think we just time warped back to high school," she muttered to herself.
Amaya: Amaya blinked, having simply been watching the others. Truth or Dare? Didn't they do this... months ago? That had been fun. She couldn't even recall if she had changed then or not. "Uh... truth." She managed to mumble.
Alec: Alec snickered from his spot amongst the crowd, nudging at Amaya with a grin. "Aw weak, ye shoulda picked dare."
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose smirked and thought with a smile. "Truth, eh? Well... " He looked at her - start easy... "Why have you been so quiet recently?"
Cassidy: Cass gave a soft laugh into her pint of beer. "What, this again?" she teased.
Emelyn:: Emelyn sat, cross-legged on the sand, idly wrapping her fingers about her pilots goggles, which sat in her lap. She didn't have a drink in her hand- she never touched the stuff- but was thoroughly enjoying the assemblage.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose shrugged, giving Cassidy and Antony a wide smile. "From my experience, the last time we did this it really helped break some of the glacial ice that somehow existed on this tropical island."
Fiona: Fiona looked on, strangely silent. Her expression, however, was full of varying shades of amusement and interest. This... could be fun.
Amaya: A non-existant brow raised. "'Cause... well..." She fidgetted with her long fingers. "I dunno, really." This had come up with Alec too. "Guess I'm shy?" Yeah, that was a nice way of putting it.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose shrugged, pouring himself a glass of whisky from behind the counter. Might as well go all out. He looked to Angelina inquisitively as he pulled out another glass. "Good enough, I guess. Your turn!"
Antony:She raised her eyebrow, not really seeing how this was breaking the ice. It just seemed to make Amaya uncomfortable.
Amaya: "Hm... Alec, truth or dare?" She already knew what he'd probably pick.
Kaveri: Kaveri, having just poked her head in, overheard the deadly phrase of "truth or dare." Didn't girls do this at sleepovers or something? She'll just hang back and people-watch with Zach for now and not get involved.
Angelina: "Make me something fruity," she said, batting her big blue (underaged) eyes at Ambrose.
Alec: Alec took a swig of his homemade cocktail. "Well..." He coughed and fidgetted in his spot. "A'd say dare but 'am not cuttin' off me 'air..." He laughed... nervously.
Vasile: Vasile sat in a stool next to Cass after grabbing a corona from behind the bar. His tail swung over the edge as he watched the goings-on, keeping to himself for now.
Amaya: Amaya raised a brow once more. "And you call me weak?" Oh. Burn.
Emelyn:: Emelyn forced her focus to the answer of the man she'd not yet met... and away from the simpering couple. There were so many people here she'd not met- so many better things to think on than if Angie still despised her.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose smirked at Angelina, read over some of the recipes taped to the top of the fridge, and started mixing.
Alec: The teen gave a bitter glare to his reptilian friend. "NO 'AIR."
Cassidy: Cass was merely coiled on the ground; a stool was an exercise in futility, after all. She leaned against Vasile a little and watched intently, smiling a little.
Antony:A gag was disguised as a cough as she saw the eyelash batting of the still normal girl, taking back a shot of vodka.
Ambrose Maurlias: Checking the available liquors, which didn't do much to limit thei choices, he proceeded to mix a "Hawaiin Ecstasy" - pronouncing it as such as he slid to to her with a grin.
Ambrose Maurlias: Nodding to Vasile and Emelyn with a friendly smile, he walked back around to the front and took a seat, waiting to hear what the punk teen would have to subject himself to with a wry smile.
Amaya: "Fine. Fine." That wasn't what she had in mind anyway. "Eat one of your cigarettes." She grinned sharp teeth.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose made a face, his long tongue sticking out in distaste. He could hardly stand the stench let alone eat one of the cancer sticks.
Cassidy: Oh, gross. Cassidy choked and sputtered on her beer.
Angelina: Angie gave a not-so-subtle quick glance to Emelyn before taking the orange-red drink and plucking the pineapple from the glass, sucking on the fruit and wiggling her eyebrows at Ambrose.
Alec: Alec stared in utter horror, wishing he'd been told to kiss someone or streak or something like highschoolers really did. Not... like he'd know. "Wha' th'fook?"
Antony:"What'd the poor smoke ever do to you to deserve being eaten?!" Antony called out over the swarms of people, shaking a finger at the lizard girl.
Zachary: Zach tapped his fingers lightly against the side of his head as he leaned his arm against the bar. He watched silently, occasionally looking over at her as if to ask her what they were doing there.
Emelyn:: Better to eat it than smoke it, Emelyn thought wryly to herself, wrinkling her leather nose in distaste but saying nothing. Carcinogens weren't high on her list for sympathy...
Amaya: Amaya silently agreed with Emelyn, but didn't say so. Instead she shrunk down a little in her seat and said nothing. It was Alec's dare afterall.
Vasile: Vasile's tail casually draped over Cass's shoulders as he grimaced. Nasty things.
Fiona: Fiona gave a half-snorting laugh, her attention making bounds from person to person and twinkling with mischief as they did so. She crossed her arms in front of her chest in a manner that said 'serves him right.'
Alec: Alec let out a groan, pulling a cig from his pocket. "This i' gonna sook..." He mumbled and winced, throwing his head back and tossing the cig down his thoat.
Kaveri: People here certainly looked interesting, and some of the animal-folk look downright alien. "This kinda reminds me of the Star Wars cantina," Kaveri whispered to Zach in a low voice, a smirk tugging on her lips.
Angelina: Angelina watched Alec and Fiona intently. So she wasn't the only 'human' left on this rock after all. She didn't know whether to be releaved or a bit sad. She wondered how new they were.
Antony:Since they were technically 'outside,' the squirrel woman dug in her pants for her pack of cigarettes and a lighter. If one was going to get eaten, then she would hold a formal memorial and smoke one.
Vasile: Vasile made made no effort to hide his disgusted look to Antony when she pulled out her cigarette.
Amaya: The iguana couldn't help but stiffle a laugh as she watched him. Taking in the look on his face as he was forced to swallow it.
Cassidy: Cass giggled a bit and petted Vasile's tail. It was just like a fur stole! Except nicer and not dead.
Angelina: "Thats disgusting," she commented around her straw.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose put his paws together and applauded the young man. "Good job." He made another face at the thought of how the thing must have tasted. "Your turn to torment."
Alec: He looked like he was going to puke for a good minute there, eyes watering as he attempted to contain his gag reflex. "You... payin' fo' tha'" He coughed, washing it down with a good helping of his drink.
Kaveri: Kaveri watches Alec eat his cigarette, a low chuckle escaping her throat. "Man, poor kid."
Amaya: "Oh you'll be fine missing one of them." Amaya rolled her eyes and patted the teen on the back.
Antony:Antony gave Vasile a look of 'like I give a ******** what you think of me' before lighting up and taking a drag. She was on the outskirts of the crowd anyways.
Emelyn:: "In fact, I warrant you'll be better..." Em said softly, stretching out on the sand with a wry smile.
Alec: "Alrigh'..." The teen took a good look around, trying to catch someone he didn't know well. It was more fun that way. "Aye." He gestured to Emelyn. "Dare o' whateveh."
Zachary: Zach smirked at Kaveri's cantina comment, but made a mental note to avoid dares. "Hey, at least there's no secondhand that way."
Emelyn:: Emelyn blinked in surprise, but shrugged her shoulders at the statement. "Well... since you don't know me, I don't know how good a truth would do. So... erm... dare."
Kaveri: "That's true," Kaveri nods, then tilts her head curiously to see what's going to happen to the spiky-haired chick.
Alec: Alec grinned, clearly pleased by the hedgehog's decision. "Lick.." He paused for only a moment, clear that he didnt think this over a bit. "im!" He pointed to Zach.
Angelina: Angelina giggled, getting funny flashbacks from middle school.
Emelyn:: "Lick him?" She pointed to Zach, not emphasizing either word over the other. She looked at the punky-headed guy with a laughing smile. "Contrary to popular belief, he's not a popsicle..." (cont)
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose snorted into his cup, his tail thwapping against Angelina to one side, Vasile to the other.
Emelyn:: But it was a dare, so she laughed, and walked over to where Zach sat. She knelt next to him and winked at him. "Sorry about this." Then she proceded to give him a short lick along the side of his face.
Cassidy: Cassidy began to chuckle helplessly. She put a hand over her eyes, set down her drink for a moment, and just laughed.
Fiona: One of her eyebrows perked at the 'hawked guy's selection. "This should be interesting..." she muttered tactlessly to herself, watching for his reaction.
Alec: Alec burst out laughing, as immature as he was. He figured he'd let her go easy that time.
Kaveri: Kaveri covers her mouth in attempt to conceal her laughter. "So, how's he taste?" She asks the hedgehog girl with a grin.
Emelyn:: Afterwards, Em covered her eyes and laughed, feeling a red blush creep to her cheeks. Thank goodness it was covered in fur.
Antony:The tattooed woman couldn't help but snort openly, "As long as clothes stay on..." She couldn't help it if she had the mind of a male.
Vasile: Vasile's tail curled tighter around Cass's shoulders, though he sat there, casting long sideways glances over at the wolf-man. Vasile wondered if he would change anymore.. he looked pretty, well, wolflike already
Zachary: Zach's tapping stopped immediately as he gave the spiky-haired teen a look of confusion. It was soon transferred to Emelyn as she licked him. "What are you--"
Emelyn:: "Try him yourself," she said cheekily to the woman she didn't know, but also with a smile. Then she turned to Cassidy. "Truth or dare?"
Amaya: Amaya giggled as well, though seemed to be trying to keep the spotlight off herself.
Cassidy: Cass stopped laughing abruptly. Well, she deserved it. "Er. Dare."
Vasile: Vasile nudged Cass with his thigh, smirking.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose followed Emelyn's look to Cassidy, getting a good look at her and held back any sort of reaction. She HAD changed, Vasile was right. If there were anyone on the island he was happy for that the changes weren't done..
Kaveri: "Ha! I might as well. C'mere--" Kaveri drapes her arm around Zach's shoulders, attempting to lick up the other side of his cheek. Poor guy, getting all this attention!
Ambrose Maurlias: It was definately her - she looked caught between two forms that didn't mesh well at all. He kept his mouth closed and soon found himself with a predicament all his own of muzzle + glass
Alec: Alec took a look around, realizing there were so many people he didn't know. "Huh." He hummed and drank down the rest of his cocktail. "Reeefiiilll..." He whined to no one in particular, clearly buzzed.
Zachary: "Hey!" Zach squirmed, grinning nervously as she licked him also. What the hell was wrong with women these days? "I'm not a salt lick!"
Emelyn:: "Dare? Damn, now I have to come up with one. ...Okay.. erm... alright. I dare you to... oh man... okay, I give up. It's more of a truth- but... tell Vasile something he really doesn't know about you."
Alec: "A' wou'n complain." The teen raised an eyebrow at the crimson guy's comment before keeping anything more to himself.
Amaya: The girl raised a brow at Alec and rolled his eyes. There was no way she was going to refill his drink this time. He already seemed buzzed.
Antony:For the first time, Antony noticed the girl with the dreads and piercings, but at Alec's comment she simply raised an eyebrow. "Of course you wouldn't," she teased.
Emelyn:: After eliciting her 'dare', she turned back to Zach and knelt next to his ear, whispering only for him. "Sorry about that. You can get me back later, if you'd like." Then she left him a soft, friendly kiss on his cheek.
Vasile: Vasile quirked an eyebrow, looking to Cass.
Cassidy: Cass looked up at Vasile. "Er. That's hard." She took a sip of beer, more to stall than anything else. Everything was either really... trivial, or just downright embarrassing.
Cassidy: "I kissed a girl once," she said at last, and looked down, just slightly horrified. "It was at a party. I was kind of drunk. Um. There."
Zachary: "Well I don't know what turns you on, kid, but..." he mumbled at the spiky-haired teen, his face a shade of scarlet to match his scales.
Vasile: Vasile's tail thumped. "Oh really?" He raised an approving brow and let a toothy smirk spread over his face.
Alec: Getting no reaction from his feeble plea for a drink, Alec crawled over until he was close enough to make himself another drink. "Ye, ye" He snickered.
Vasile: Then. "Can I get you something to drink?"
Cassidy: Cass stuck out a forked tongue. "Already quite fine on that front, thank you. Your turn. Truth or dare, Vasile."
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose's mood was lifting already, people were smiling, and amusing dares were flying. With a sigh, he glanced around and lapped at some of the alcohol in his glass.
Vasile: "Aw s**t, I should have seen that one coming," he said, his smirk fading.
Vasile: "I'm not quite ready to streak down the beach in the nude or anything, so Truth."
Antony:Antony took a long drag from her smoke before offering Alec the bottle of vodka with a smirk, after she had refilled her drink of course.
Alec: Alec gladly accepted, raising the bottle in thanks before refilling his glass greedily. "Streak! Streak!"
Emelyn:: Emelyn went back to her seat on the sand, rubbing her forehead as if to coax the blush from it. Poor Zach, she mused, as she returned the goggles to her forehead.
Vasile: Vasile blinked an eye at Alec. "You'd like to see that, would ya?" He winked in mock seduction
Antony:She made sure to swipe the bottle back after he had refilled his glass.
Amaya: Amaya glanced at Antony and then Alec. Oh yay, he was probably going to get drunk... if he wasn't already. She hadn't touched anything, thinking the stuff smelled like pee. She doubted her new pallet would enjoy it anyway.
Cassidy: Cassidy gave this a moment of thought, her finger tapping against her glass. "Truth, truth. What is," she said slowly, "the strangest thing you have ever bought for yourself?"
Fiona: Teenage curiosity spurred on by natural confidence, Fiona allowed her eyes to rake across Vasile's figure at the suggestion of streaking. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea. Darn, a truth. Oh well, maybe later.
Alec: Alec paled, realizing he hadn't been paying attention to who was being dared. "uh... neh thanks?" He winced and sat down quietly.
Vasile: Vasile took a long drink from his bottle, thinking. "A full body waxing," he said with a cringe - then quickly added - "it was a modeling gig!"
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose winced. "Ouch..."
Cassidy: Cass winced visibly. "Yikes. I'm not entirely sure I wanted that mental image."
Amaya: "Wow." Amaya raised a brow, staring at the changed Vasile.
Vasile: "Hey!"
Antony:"Full?" Antony echoed, eyebrow raising. She had only gone as far as a Brazillian.
Ambrose Maurlias: "Course, I bet you anything it would hurt ten times as much now!" He barked a laugh.
Alec: Alec spit out his drink, not wanting to EVER feel that pain.
Cassidy: Cass grinned and stroked his tail. "Now, now. No waxings for my fuzzy man." She was, possibly, just a tiny bit tipsy.
Vasile: "Anyway..." Vasile's eyes darted around the crowd, settling on Antony as she spoke to him. "Yes. Everything that wasn't on my head, or a well-shaped eyebrow was OFF. So, truth or dare?"
Kaveri: "Wonder what the hell modeling he was doing THAT for," Kaveri says to Zach, "Can't imagine any of these guys getting a waxed ANYTHING, much less shaved. -- Porn, maybe?"
Vasile: "NOT PORN!" His tail ruffled. "It was a swimsuit add! They were just, uh.... very....very small....swimsuits..."
Cassidy: "Porn," Cassidy repeated, giggling.
Vasile: Vasile huffed, nursing his bottle.
Kaveri: Kaveri gives a hearty laugh, dismissively waving her hand. "Sure, buddy."
Zachary: Zach was still a fierce shade of red, but he managed to get out a semblance of a laugh.
Amaya: Amaya giggled again.
Alec: Alec wished he was deaf and without imagination at the flying accusations of male porn.
Emelyn:: "Bm chka bm bmm.." Em hummed in the background.
Antony:"Dare," she murmured, snickering at the labret girl's comment, "Nothing I've seen him in... So nothing hetero?" She was, in fact, kidding.
Vasile: "I think if I was ever in porn my naughty-bits would be all over the net."
Emelyn:: Emelyn turned to the person next to her and whispered, laughingly, "We don't get the net here, do we? ...Too bad.."
Vasile: Vasile gave a happy-evil grin when Antony said dare. He hopped off his stool and raided the fruit basket that hung over the bar for drinks, taking a bananna.
Kaveri: "I don't think I've ever been on 'the net,'" Kaveri adds. And really, she hasn't -- most cable companies don't go to abandoned buildings.
Vasile: "You always claim..." he said, handing the girl the fruit. "That you give the 'best head ever." He waggled his eyebrows at her. "Demonstrate." He turned to sit back down, t hen quickly added, "ON the banana."
Antony:"Wishful thinking?" She asked him.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose's eyes widened curiously at the procurement of the bananna, and even more at the dare, lapping more at his alcohol and caring less.
Cassidy: Cass glanced up at Vasile and over to Antony, more puzzled than anything else. "Best head ever?"
Angelina: "I'd rather watch Vasile demonstrate on the bananana," Angelina mumbled into her drink with a secretive smile.
Antony:"A good blow job, involves more than just the c**k... I'll have you know," she said with a grin, but taking the banana from him anyways.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose spluttered into his cup. "I don't!"
Antony:Antony raised her eyebrow at Cass, "He didn't tell you? Tsk."
Vasile: Vasile patted Cass on the shoulder. "Take notes."
Kaveri: Kaveri suppresses a laugh, covering her mouth and leaning back, her other arm still draped around Zach's shoulders.
Alec: Alec froze, grey eyes slowly moving over to rest on Antony, frozen in just... shock.
Amaya: Oh jeeze. Adults were so gross... and sometimes seemed more immature then she was. Though like always, she remained silent.
Vasile: He smiled at her, hoping she got the fact that he was joking. really hoped....
Fiona: Fiona laughed, leaning over to Ambrose (who happened to be the nearest person she recognised) and saying, "Remind me never to eat a banana split here. Ever." A wide smirk appeared on her face.
Cassidy: "I'll be sure to file it away safely," Cass teased. ".... wait. Tell me what?"
Vasile: Vasile just shook his head, trying not to blush.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose continued to chortle harder at Fiona's additive. "I'll do that!" He grinned back at her.
Zachary: Zach glanced between Cassidy and Vasile with slight alarm. He hadn't heard people talk about their sex lives this casually since college, and those stories were mostly made up.
Antony:The shot was thrown back before she took care to peel the sticker off of the banana before raising her eyebrow at Vasile, "Well aren't you the honest one."
Cassidy: "Uh." Cass's tongue flickered. "Should I know what this is about? Do I really want to?"
Antony:Part of her was stalling, banana peels didn't exactly taste great.
Antony:"Considering no one here wants to see this banana get fellitio except for Vasile, I'll simply..." She trailed off, opening her mouth and proceeding to carefully, due to the curve of the fruit, push it down her throat till it's stem was pretty much the only thing showing. Once done, it was quickly pulled back out. "Now that takes skill," she boasted, tossing the banana in the nearest trash can.
Antony:((D: Sorry, had to be done... Antony = whore. >_>))
Alec: "THANK YE' AN' GOO'NIGHT" Alec announced when it was over, abruptly retreating to the bar to get some ice cubes. Yea, that's it.
Cassidy: Yes, a complete loss for words. Cass decided she really needed another swig of beer, and decided to just focus on that for the moment. Good thing she couldn't really blush.
Zachary: He moved a little to better shoulder Kaveri's arm, nervously putting his hand on her back to steady her. He was glad the breeze was cold. His face still felt like it was burning.
Kaveri: Kaveri looks on with mild amazement - it's quite difficult to suppress that gag reflex, and Antony seemed to have some kind of a gift. "I'll be damned," she murmurs.
Amaya: Amaya held no reaction, having found it disgusting.
Fiona: "Bravo!" Fiona shouted humorously, clapping and grinning. It was funny to her, at least.
Antony:She gave Kaveri a wink, obviously not sober.
Angelina: Angelina clapped, winking to Ambrose.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose felt his own cheeks burning, turning away from Antony - but not until the 'deed' was done.
Antony:"Oh! My turn..." Antony blinked, looking around at those present as she tried to decide who to pick. "Hmm... Zach," she grinned evilly, "Truth or Dare?"
Alec: Alec eventually returned, flopping back down wherever he could find room.
Zachary: Zach blinked at Antony, still in a little shock. "Oh, I guess... um... dare."
Antony:Noticing Alec's return, Antony grinned and looked back over to Zach. Motioning between Alec and the dragon, she smiled sweetly, "You two... Kiss." Insta-cold shower for Alec.
Amaya: Say what? Amaya blinked, shocked and looked between Zach and Alec. Oh jeeze...
Kaveri: Kaveri is morbidly curious to see what's going to come out of this one. She looks at Antony with a crooked smile, then back at Zach and then to Alec, clearly more amused than she should be.
Alec: Alec's jaw dropped, just... STARING at Antony in a 'how could you do this to me' sorta way.
Cassidy: "Karma is a wonderful thing."
Emelyn:: "Holy cow. ...Boy Zach, bet you wish you were getting licked now," Emelyn nearly squealed, falling back on the sand with the propulsion of her laughter.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose coughed. Strong whisky... yeah... that was it, eyes going from one poor guy to the other, very glad that he wasn't the targed.
Antony:Antony wiggled her eyebrows at Alec, patting his leg as a gesture of 'I'll make up for this later.'
Zachary: Zach mouthed the word "traitor" to Emelyn as she laughed at him. Kiss... a guy. He could probably do this. As long as he kept the 'guy' part out of his mind.
Fiona: "Somebody get a camera, quick!" Fiona said with a snicker.
Antony:"I'll ask Aubrey for a copy of the video."
Emelyn:: Em just responded, after she'd propped herself up on an elbow in the sand and saw Zach's mouthed word, with a wink.
Kaveri: Kaveri gives Zach a reassuring pat on the back. "Go get 'em, tiger! ... lizard ... thing!"
Alec: Alec's head dropped with a pathetic whine as he sloooowly edged him torso in the angle that Zach was in with the most... disgusted look on his face that rivalled any hangover he'd ever had.
Alec: *his
Angelina: Angelina had a huge grin on her face. Yaoi was hot.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose gave her a look. "Traitor!"
Zachary: At this rate, the blush would become a permanent rash. Why had he picked dare? He shut his eyes tightly, hoping that the teen would get it over with quickly.
Vasile: Vasile shifted and his right ear twitched three times in rapid sucession.
Antony:The squirrel woman glanced around, the smirk on her face widening as she saw everyone's expressions.
Alec: Unfortunately Alec was firmly stuck in his place, left staring at the dragon man to wait for HIM to make a move.
Emelyn:: A grin covered the face of the hedgehog-girl as she looked around at the gathering. "Oooh... methinks the gentlemen are getting a little uncomfortable," she said, her voice tinged with delight.
Angelina: Angelina. "What?" she asked innocently. But an idea brewed in her head and her grin grew wider and she patted his knee.
Cassidy: "You may as well just get it over with," Cass hooted.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose didn't like that look. Scowling suspiciously, he lapped more at his drink-he'd figure out an easier, less embarrassing method lated.
Zachary: Zach opened one eye to glance at Emelyn. "You think?" he whined, before closing it again.
Emelyn:: "Aww... come on! ...Kiss... kiss... kiss..." she chanted.
Angelina: "Kiss kiss kiss..." Angelina joined in.
Antony:Antony whistled some old western show down music.
Kaveri: "C'mon, boys!" Kaveri feels compelled to give Zach a jump start, throwing her arm out to lightly shove him in Alec's direction.
Fiona: "Doooo iiiiit!" Fiona added to the shouts of encouragement, her own devious grin mirroring those of many of the present females.
Alec: Alec shuffled closer, obviously delaying this as log as he could. "D'ye 'ave like... some disease or somethin cuz 'am not su-" He of course didn't see the shove coming, unable to dodge the oncoming Zach as their lips met.
Antony:Part of her was expecting Zach to make her kiss a girl later on in the night, but then again, the dragon was rather naive.
Angelina: Angelina gave an approving cheer as the lips came in contact.
Zachary: Zach didn't see the violent shove coming, and thus couldn't avoid it as he temporarily locked lips with Alec. It was over just as quickly as he pulled back, putting a hand to his mouth.
Alec: Alec flailed his arms and made sure to scramble at LEAST 3 feet away from Zach after it was over, wiping furiously at his mouth in horror. "Drink! Driiiiiink!!!"
Ambrose Maurlias: "Poor bastards." Ambrose lamented, worrying more about his girlfriend and her devious mind.
Kaveri: Kaveri roars with laughter, applauding with approval.
Emelyn:: "Oh, you men are so uptight." Em said, mirth coming out every pore.
Antony:She gave a wolf-whistle at the pair, giving Alec an apologetic look, handing him her shot of vodka.
Cassidy: "That wasn't so bad, now? Was it?"
Angelina: Angelina plopped herself right down in Ambrose's lap. Not saying anything, just smiling herself.
Antony:"They're uptight because they're straight," she pointed out, laughing with Em.
Vasile: Vasile joined in the laughing, though his ears were awfully pink.
Zachary: Zach glared at Antony's whistling before turning his attention to Kaveri. He spoke from behind the hand, afraid to move it. "Truth... or dare?"
Kaveri: "Oh, hell. I'm setting myself up for disaster, but whatever, man," Kaveri shrugs with a toothy grin, "dare me."
Antony:Antony simply blew Zach a kiss and winked at his glare.
Alec: Alec downed the shot and slumped against the nearest person that wasn't Zach, afraid to look in the guy's direction out of embarassment.
Angelina: "Revenge!" Angelina cheered, giggling at her own suggestion.
Ambrose Maurlias: "Brave woman in respect to the dares that have been flying around." Ambrose lifted his glass to the woman whose name he had yet to learn.
Angelina: Angelina helped herself to a sip from Ambrose's glass. "eugh, gross.." she pinched her face up.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose chuckled, polishing it off with a few coughs and then handed her the empty glass. "Make me something better then." He challenged.
Amaya: Amaya seemed to be the only one not really having a good time... maybe she was still too young, prude and naive. Or maybe she was still just shy around crowds and people she didn't know.
Zachary: Zach moved the hand a little as he contemplated the dare. His eyes darted between Antony and Kaveri before he announced it.
Zachary: "Kiss Antony."
Angelina: Angelina got a twinkle in her eye. Such a small little woman and Ambrose had made her such a strong drink...
Angelina: She climbed over the bar (literally) and got to work.
Vasile: Vasile looked to Kav. "Now what did she do to deserve that," he teased.
Antony:At Zach's comment, Antony simply grinned and glanced over to Kaveri before patting her lap, "You're standing and I'm lazy."
Alec: Alec burst out laughing, though he could've seen that from a mile away on a foggy eve in Devon. "Thas more like i'!"
Cassidy: Cass shook her head. Guys kissing, now girls... It was a good thing she'd had such an easy dare.
Ambrose Maurlias: "there goes my idea." Ambrose sighed overdramatically, glancing between Emelyn and Angelina. It would be copying now. Damn. He then looked warily at the small brunette in front of the bottles of alcohol.
Kaveri: Kaveri shrugs, smiling. "I've kissed a girl before, I can do it again." She looks over to Antony, tilting her head before starting to approach her. "You can't live in Olympia without kissing a girl."
Alec: "'ow far's Olivia from 'ere?" Alec called out, laughing and obviously feeling the vodka a bit.
Antony:Antony simply grinned, leaning up when she was close enough to whisper in her ear, "Want to be cruel and give the men a show?" She had enough alcohol in her for that.
Emelyn:: Emelyn heard Ambrose's words- then saw his gaze shift between her and his girlfriend. Her eyes narrowed at the man, and she decided one thing. ...She didn't very much like Ambrose when he was drunk.
Angelina: Angelina didn't seem to notice or care abuot the comment, too busy pouring over drink recipes and pulling out an assortment of bottles.
Kaveri: "Ah, why the hell not," Kaveri whispers back, curling an arm around Antony's waist and pulling the other woman towards her.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose's lament was soon distracted (fortunately not noticing Emelyn's glare) and hypocritically turned to watch the show.
Antony:Grinning, she moved her right hand to the back of the woman's neck, pulling her down with an audible purr. Time for a sadistic show.
Alec: Alec watched, drink in hand at what was guaranteed to be entertainment.
Zachary: After Kaveri left, Zach moved to sit by Emelyn, having spared her from his barely-vengeful dare. He watched Antony and Kaveri, still not moving his hand from its place in front of his mouth.
Emelyn:: "Cat got your tongue?" Em said to Zach in a kinder tone of voice, and reached up to pull his hand down to his lap. She wondered why he'd come to sit with her- and hoped it wasn't... pity.
Angelina: Angelina cleared her throat for Ambrose's attention, sliding a tall glass his way. "Its called a Waikiki Woo Woo!!" she exclaimed, proud of herself
Kaveri: Kaveri bares her teeth in a grin, putting her other hand behind Antony's neck and allowing herself to get pulled down. Let's get this party started!
Cassidy: Cass glanced up at Vasile, and then appeared to decide that the bottom of her glass was very interesting indeed.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose, momentarily distracted, smacked his lips and took the tall, fruity drink from the grinning woman's hands, smelling it cautiously.
Ambrose Maurlias: His tongue flicked into the mixture, letting the rum-based fruit drink tingle it before grinning and lapping at it with gusto. "Not bad." He replied wryly.
Antony:Antony immediately caught her in a passionate kiss, groaning softly in order to make sure that those that weren't 'allowed' to watch could hear them. She was trying to torture people damnit!
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose's ears crumpled back, eyes darting to the scene daringly
Alec: Alec forced himself to stare at his glass's contents as he whistled a little tune that didn't seem to do the trick in drowning out the "noises" that beckoned everyone's attention.
Cassidy: Cass looked up involuntarily, squeaked, and looked back down. Okay. This was almost punishment for admitting that stupid kiss.
Angelina: Angelina looked rather unphased, but amused
Zachary: "I don't think that was a cat..." he mumbled quietly, gazing in the direction of Alec. He was about to speak again when Antony's loud sounds interrupted him. He smiled at Emelyn, face still very red. "What have I done?"
Kaveri: Kaveri leans into the kiss with much panache, adding to the noise with an amused 'ooo!' squeal, running her hands up into Antony's hair. What a beautiful trainwreck!
Amaya: Amaya wasn't really bothered either, or at least she tried to make it look that way. Green eyes stared at the tabletop, her chest feeling tight.
Emelyn:: For the most part, Emelyn ignored the kiss, as she laughed gently at Zach. "You've just owned up to a dare. Nothing more, nothing less. Don't agonize over it. You did well," she smiled.
Antony:Backing them both up so that she was able to sit down again and pull the other woman closer between her legs, tilting her head to the side to deepen the kiss.
Angelina: Angelina would elbow Ambrose in the ribs if his attentioin got too focused.
Vasile: Vasile leaned down. "Kissed like that?"
Fiona: Fiona watched out of the corner of her eye a tad curiously, if only to know all the gory details for storytelling at a later date. They certainly seemed to be... enjoying themselves.
Alec: Alec looked a little uncomfortable to say the least where he sat amongst the group, thankfully his alcohol was doing its job at making him clueless.
Cassidy: "Ummmm." Cassidy fidgeted without looking at Vasile. "Something like that. Maybe."
Vasile: Vasile just grinned to himself.
Kaveri: "Mrmphpht!" Kaveri tries to cry out, but continues to let Antony take the lead.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose blinked. IT was... still going? As his stare lingered he felt the sharp elbow in his ribs and pulled his attention away.
Antony:Antony lingered with the kiss for a minute or so longer before pulling back to catch her breath, eyes still closed as her lips curled into a lopsided smirk. "Kiss enough for you Zachypoo?"
Angelina: She wrapped her arms around him tightly.
kimie kitty chan: Nita sat at the back of the group with some sort of fruity drink in her hand, amused at all the goings-on.
Antony:Glancing over to Ambrose, she waggled her eyebrows at Angelina with a knowing expression. The art of manipulating men included more than eyelash batting.
Kaveri: Kaveri attempts to wriggle out of Antony's grip, laughing hard. "Oh man," she gasped, "that was a hell of a thing." Wiping her forehead, she goes to sit back down. Now it was her turn? Hmm... who to pick?
Zachary: Zach looked from Emelyn once more to quickly roll his eyes at Antony. "If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were enjoying it more than us guys were." He turned back to Emelyn again.
Kaveri: She glances around the room, twirling her finger in the air to pull out the next victim.
Antony:"Kissing is kissing," she said simply, figuring the comment explained itself.
Fiona: Fiona snorted in response to Zach's comment. "No, I don't think that's possible." She gave something partway between a smirk and a sneer.
Fiona: ((Fee hasn't been picked. *belated*))
Kaveri: "Hm... how about the, uh... wolf dude?" Kaveri jabs an unsure finger in Ambrose's direction. "Truth or dare?"
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose blinked, pointing a clawed finger at himself before smiling, tail thumping. "Me?" He smiled, glancing around. He couldn't chicken out in response to everyone else.
Ambrose Maurlias: "Dare. And the name's Ambrose" he smiled.
Angelina: Angelina slipped out of his lap, sitting next him. "Wolf-dude" she snickered.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose stuck his tongue out at Angelina.
Antony:Antony wolf-whistled at him before adding a casual wink.
Kaveri: "Yeah! Alright, Ambrose," Kaveri grins, rubbing her hands together deviously, "I dare you to... kiss the green chick over there. Yeah, her--" She points at Amaya.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose blinked, and looked to Amaya, who had been remarkably quiet and sullen, he realized, scratched the back of his head. She was his 'little sister'!
Angelina: Angelina straightened up, pouting.
Amaya: WHAT?! The look on her face couldn't be described in words.
Alec: "Amaya kisses!" Alec randomly blurted out, grinning like a fool. Why not? She needed a good kiss to lighten her up.
Ambrose Maurlias: But... a dare was a dare, right? he got to his feet, giving an apologetic look first to Angelina, and then kneeled over to Amaya. "I'm sorry, 'sis'." He winced, rubbing his paw across the top of her head.
Antony:Blinking, the squirrel looked back and forth between Amaya, Ambrose, and LashBatter. Oh this would be interesting.
Ambrose Maurlias: Then, glancing around, he smirked, and gaver her a big, wet 'dog' kiss - licked up the side of her cheek.
Angelina: Angelina chuckeled, making herself relax.
Amaya: Amaya was tensed up and ready to bolt when a wet, sloppy tongue made contact with her face. She blinked a few times before realizing that was it. Oh thank god. "S'ok, that was nice."
Emelyn:: "Awwww... a patented Zachy kiss," Em said, clapping her hands with glee. She had wondered how Ambrose would make it so it wasn't awkward- considering the sort of relationship they shared.
Ambrose Maurlias: He chuckled, his tail thumping as he stood up again and, with a hand to his chin, regarded the dozen or so people around him with a mirthful light in his hand.
Alec: Alec clapped his hands, enjoying the dare. "Awww...." Despite his half-drunken state he knew Amaya would've been upset over anything more than that.
Amaya: Indeed she would have. The last thing she wanted was her first kiss to be from her 'big brother'.
Ambrose Maurlias: "Angelina!" He spun, tail motoring. "Truth or dare."
Angelina: She leaned forward, a predatory gleam in her eye. "Dare."
Ambrose Maurlias: He grinned toothily, the possibilities spirialing in his mind. Then, with a grin, he vaulted over the bar, grabbed another bananna and tossed it at her. "Show up Antony!"
Angelina: Angelina blinked. "With who?"
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose guffawed. "I was just going to say the bananna... but I mean... if you WANTED to give us a show...." He chuckled.
Angelina: Angelina couldn't help stop the blush. "BUt...
Angelina: you know how I good I am!"
Ambrose Maurlias: It was Ambrose's turn to turn red.
Emelyn:: Emelyn covered her eyes with her hands. This was a subject she wished she werent as privvy to as she was...
Ambrose Maurlias: He gesticulated in the vague direction of the fruit. "Well... you know... do a ... production... sort of thing."
Angelina: Angelina grumbled to herself, swiping the fruit out of his hand. She looked at it and sighed. No way she could deep-throat like Antony could...
Fiona: Fiona snickered, humming a tune and muttering lyrics: something along the lines of "This s**t is bananas- B-A-N-A-N-A-S!"
Zachary: Zach's blush had started to fade, but returned when Emelyn used a pet name of sorts for him. He glanced over at her quickly before closing his eyes as the banana stunt was about to be repeated.
Antony:Antony rolled her eyes, but said nothing for now, simply glancing over to Alec briefly and cocking an eyebrow.
Angelina: But... worth with what God gave you... Angelina closed her eyes, trying to concetrate then she heard Fee. "Oh nO! I HATE that song!"
Fiona: "So do I," she said with a wince, "But it popped into my head. Fits perfectly, don't you think?" Oooh, a double entendre.
Alec: Alec was shaking his head, not sure if his teenage hormones could take mcuh more of this. "Give a' guy a' BREAK alreadeh!" He laughed though he was partially serious. Think cooold showers.
Angelina: She huffed and closed her eyes again, trying to forget there was a whole group of people watching her.
Kaveri: "Yes, we have no bananas," Kaveri croons, resting her hands on her hips.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose groaned at the puns, but not without a healthy dose of chuckles.
Angelina: She went to work on the banana... though maybe not as deep as Antony, she tried to make up with lots of tongue and lip work, completely with sloppy sucking noises.
Angelina: When it was done, she was beet-red and flung the fruit squarely at her boyfriends head.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose let loose a startled yelp as he was beaned with the bananna, fumbled to catch it after it connected squarely in his chest.
Ambrose Maurlias: To try to reply, he gave it a sniff, peeled it, and then ate it after sticking out his tongue again at her.
Emelyn:: Emelyn actually snorted as the projectile fruit bounced off its target.
Antony:Antony laughed out loud, relaxing with a smug smile to herself. After that show, the tattooed woman hadn't lost any of her confidence.
Antony:"I'd like to point out in both our defenses, banana's are far from the real thing."
Angelina: Angelina tried to calm herself down, but it was hard to chose who she wanted to pick next without ...looking at people. "What about you," she asked, pointed to the quiet girl in the back. (Nitta). "Truth or dare?"
Antony:bananas*
Ambrose Maurlias: "I'll accept that." Ambrose replied to Antony. "No way in hell would I eat the real thing." He winked, the banana halfway devoured.
kimie kitty chan: Nita's head jerked up. Damn. She'd been spotted. "Um.." She took a big swig of whatever she was drinking. "What the hell. Dare."
Antony:"Detachable p***s!" She cried, busting into giggles. She hadn't heard that song in forever.

Ambrose Maurlias
Drinking Party
Part 2

Angelina: Angelina looked around the bar, not wanting anything too drastic to the girl. She didn't know her well, and she looked shy.
Angelina: She reached behind the bar and found a can of whipped cream. "Spray a bit on someone's something of your chosing." She handed the can to her confidently
Angelina: "And lick it off."
Alec: Alec was amused by Nita's dare, figuring she'd get what she asked for. What could he say? Torturing the quiet girl was THAT fun.
Kaveri: "Scandalous," Kaveri chirps with amusement.
kimie kitty chan: Nita turned slightly pink and glanced around the group. Who did she know? She stood up slowly and approached Fiona.
Angelina: Angelina winked at Kav. "that depends on what she chooses!"
kimie kitty chan: Eyebrows raised and wondering what on earth she was doing, Nita sprayed a sizeable dollop of whipped cream right onto Fee's nose.
Fiona: Fiona laughed, twitching her nose. "Go for it. Looks tasty."
kimie kitty chan: She leaned forward and smooch/licked the sweet stuff off. Turning around, she stuck her tongue out at Angelina (see-food style, of course) and took a bow.
Angelina: Angelina laughed, clapping for her.
Fiona: The girl joined in clapping, giving Nita a brief wink. "See, that was pretty tame."
kimie kitty chan: Nita flopped down on the sand next to Fee. Might as well join the party.
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose raised his glass, taking a few swallows, curious to see how creative the redhead was.
Antony:Antony pushed away her empty shotglass, not wanting to get too far gone in this crowd.
Alec: Alec was starting to feel the alcohol a bit more than he had before, drowsily slumping as a telltale sign that it was almost lights-out-time for the punk teen.
Amaya: Amaya glanced at Alec, feeling a little tired too... which was probably from the decreasing tempature. "Am I gonna have to drag you back to your room?" She raised a brow.
kimie kitty chan: "Oh yeah, I guess that means it's my turn." Nita poked Fee in the arm. "Truth or dare?"
Zachary: Zach was glad he hadn't touched any alcohol. He was perfectly content to sit with Emelyn and occasionally glance at the truth-or-dare antics.
Alec: Alec smirked, leaning against the iguana girl. "Meeehbeh." He smiled, feeling as if he could fall asleep right there regardless.
Amaya: The reptile snorted. "What number is it again?"
Fiona: Fiona sighed melodramatically. "Truth is so boring, but everyone's picked dare. I don't want to be a sheep following the herd. But... what the hell... dare me!"
Antony:Glancing at the two teens, she chuckled softly, "Do you want me to drag him back since it's getting chillier?" She was referring to Amaya's cold-bloodedness.
Alec: The teen shrugged, unable to remember or care. "Aaaah d'neh. Ask th' reddeh." He snickered at Amaya's question, pointing to Nita, miraculously remembering that she apparently lived above him.
kimie kitty chan: Nita rolled her eyes. "He's in 41. Lucky you, you won't have to drag him up a flight of stairs."
Amaya: "Nah, I can do it... I should head back soon anyway. I still have a little sunlight left in me." Amaya glanced over at the sun, then back to Alec. "Ugh, I'll take a wild guess then."
Amaya: "Oh, thanks." Amaya snorted and smiled at Nita before standing.
kimie kitty chan: Nita eyed Fiona speculatively. "And as for you... how about you flash our good buddy Zach."
Ambrose Maurlias: Ambrose spluttered again.
Angelina: Angelina's brows raised. Shy little red-head was upping the stakes.
Ambrose Maurlias: "I thought you were shy!" Ambrose coughed.
kimie kitty chan: "Did you now?" Nita grinned.
Vasile: Vasile looked VERY interested, leaning forward
Ambrose Maurlias: "Apparently incorrectly!" He grinned back.
Kaveri: "Looks like lizardman's getting a lot of attention tonight," Kaveri howls with laughter, slapping her knee.
Angelina: Angelina covered Ambrose's eyes.
Emelyn:: Emelyn gasped, and throttled Zach back and forth by yanking on his one arm. "Oh, don't let her do it, Zach."
Ambrose Maurlias: "Heyyyy - if I can't look, neither can Vasile!" Ambrose protested.
Angelina: "But I can't let your virgin eyes seeeeeee..." she whined.
Fiona: "Only Zach?" She asked, unimpressed. "If you say so." She gave a broad smirk to her audience, turned in the indicated man's general direction, and completely removed her top.
Vasile: "Hey now, Ambrose. Don't hate."
Amaya: "So, you ready to stumble home?" Amaya seemed to zone out everyone else as she grabbed Alec's arm closest to her and swun it behind her neck, just in case the poor guy stumbled face-first into the sand.
Kaveri: Kaveri whistles loudly.
Zachary: Zach was jerked around a bit by his arm before glaring at Nita and Kaveri in turn.
Emelyn:: Emelyn, sitting directly against the dragon-man's side- got a full view as well. Her jaw dropped- more out of shock that the girl did it so freely, rather than at the sight- which was common enough to her.
Antony:"Virgin... HAH!"
Vasile: Vasile smiled quietly to himself.
Ambrose Maurlias: AMbrose could tell by the sounds, and even the scents that boasted of mass shock, that he was missing a good show. His ears drooped but he didn't dare voice his protest.
Alec: Alec was happy-carefree as he clung to his friend's shoulder, giving a grin to the rest of the crowd. "Baaaai ev'r'one." He waved and looked rather unsteady standing there.
Ambrose Maurlias: "Bye Alec, bye Amaya~" Ambrose said halfheatedly from behind Angelina's hands
Amaya: Amaya nodded a goodbye as well before dragging the drunken teen back to his room.

Julian?

Amaya Vaughan
New RP

Like any other day, Amaya was laying under the shade of one of the many palm trees surrounding the edge of the jungle and boardering the beach. It was a little windy out today, but she had learned she started to feel sick if she didn't get enough sunlight... so it would have to do.

She lay on her side in a yellow top and sarong to match, something she hadn't really worn until now. Her tail was (mostly) hidden under it, though was long enough to peek out of the bottom. The base was too thick to wear much under it, so she had settled to tying it higher.

Julian Vorpalle
Soft, nigh silent footsteps came staggering along the beach...silver fur glinting in the sunlight.

This was the first time Julian had come out of his duplex since his last change - only now had he worked up the nerve. His ears were pinned back against his head, showing his discomfort rather simply...his tail drooped downward to the sand.

His jeans were...definitely shorts now, and he was lacking a shirt...but his pocketwatch ticked around his neck even still.

His eyes widened as he came upon Amaya, his bright green eyes widening, and he stopped on the spot.

Amaya Vaughan
Luckily for the iguana, her back was facing to Julian and because of his silent footsteps she didn't notice him. Though like most people she got the feeling she was being... watched.

Her brow furrowed and she looked around without moving her head, then turned it to look behind her. Green met green as her body jumped at the sight of the cat man she hadn't seen in... what seemed like decades. Though she was too shocked and scared to really say anything... was he going to scream?

Julian Vorpalle
Julian stood, staring...rattling a few awkward breaths....

"...I'm...sorry...." Quietly.

His lips twitched into his usual nervous smile - but with his mouth shut so as not to display his feline teeth.

"...I didn't know if anyone was...here...and I...."

He took a step back, ears twitching. "...I...."

In spite of himself, though...he looked harder. "...We've...met...yes...?"

Amaya Vaughan
"... Yeah, a long time ago." Amaya sat up and hugged her knees through the sarong, her long tail sliding to the side slightly.

"It's okay." She said just as quietly, though didn't make eye contact with him again.

Julian Vorpalle
"...Oh. I...thought so."

There was a very long pause before he spoke again...in which he just stood there, fidgeting. But...the girl looked like she had it harder than he did.

"...Looks like we've both changed a little bit, huh?" It was good-natured...and he offered a bigger smile, displaying his rather sharp teeth.

Amaya Vaughan
The girl snorted. "Yeah... though you don't look that bad." She glanced over at him, but still didn't meet his gaze. She would have guessed he'd be farther along then she was since he had gotten here sooner... apparently the time had nothing to do with it. She had changed before a lot of people who were here before her it seemed.

Julian Vorpalle
"...Maybe not...."

He drew a little closer, trying to be tactful and kind. "...But...you're not that bad, either. I mean...there are worse animals, right? And your eyes are still very pretty."

This all was helping him to remember...he wasn't the only one going through this. And...well, there WERE worse animals than a cat.

Amaya Vaughan
This actually drew a smile to the otherwise depressed looking Amaya. "Thanks. And... yeah, there are I guess." Another glance was sent his way.

"... You can join me if you want. Unless you were going somewhere."

Julian Vorpalle
"...No...I'd like that."

Awkwardly, he dropped to his knees in the sand, tail swishing. His paws got all full of sand, however, which was rather uncomfortable.

"...So...your name was...Amaya? Is that right?" He rubbed his pawpads on his jean shorts.

Amaya Vaughan
"Yeah. Julian, right?" The lizard glanced over at him, then at his paws momentarily before looking back out to the sea. It almost looked like he was wear cat-like gloves and shoes.

Julian Vorpalle
"...Most of the time." It was a half-hearted joke. He laughed weakly.

"...But right now...yes. Under all this fur."

He extended his claws, scratching a little bit at one arm. "...This itchy fur."

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya smiled. "That's good." She remember the last time they had met it hadn't... exactly been Julian she was talking to. What did he call her? The... chimney sweep?

Julian Vorpalle
"...It is."

Julian paused again. Stuck for small talk. "...By the way...I'm sorry about last time. With...you know." His ears flattened.

Amaya Vaughan
"It's alright, not your fault." Amaya said, shifting uncomfortably.

Julian Vorpalle
"...Still. I could...at least...I was stronger then, and I should have...."

He trailed off. He really didn't want to FRIGHTEN the girl, but...he seemed to be heading in that direction. This was getting...awkward. Very.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya gave a genuine smile to him, knowing what he wanted to say. However, she was starting to get a little hungry and the weather was getting a little colder as the day dragged on.

"It's alright Julian, really." She stood, tail swishing up a little sand behind her. "I'm gonna go get some food. Drop by my duplex, number 22, if you ever wanna talk okay?" After giving him a pat on the shoulder to show she wasn't leaving him out of fear, she headed off towards the cafeteria.

((Sorry to cut this so short. DX Getting way too distracted though. Byes!))

Two Favorite Guys
(Amaya meets up with Alec and Rex in the jungle)

Rex Vadnais
The morning after the big beach party, Rex woke up with a minor headache, thoguh nothing big. He hadn't had more than a few beers. He forced himself out of bed, took a shower and decided to go on a walk fo a change.

He made his way into the jungle for the first time since the labs had reopened. The familiar sounds of birds and monkies filled the air and the distant sound of the bubbling river could be heard humming in his ear. Nothing was more peaceful than a walk by yourself, though something deep inside him mourned for company and socialization.

Alec Derring
Alec wandered the thick jungle, away from the duplexes and any other builing he usually frequented. He had skipped out on the beach party, at the last minute allowing his anti-social and predictable knack at avoiding any and all social events kicking in to full gear. In all honesty he was growing a little tired of hanging out in the enterainment room, cafeteria and the like and was currently seeking relief by wandering through a part of the jungle he hadn't bothered to adventure to before.

"Fookin' trees." He muttered to himself, hands stuffed into the pockets of his shorts as he bitterly trudged through the wilderness with his face angled towards the ground. He didn't expect anyone to be around, and he wasn't exactly paying attention enough to notice.

Amaya Vaughan
Unlike the other two, Amaya had wandered into the jungle for a purpose. When you stayed outside for almost two months, you got to know the jungle pretty well... so today, she set out to have a little snack and bask like all the other days.

She sat high in one of the many trees littering the jungle, munching on an apple as she stared through the thick canopy above. It was a beautiful day out... hopefully nothing would go wrong.

Then she caught motion from below, her tail twitching as it hung off the branch she sat on. Shoving the rest of her apple in her mouth she leaned over and spotted no one other then Alec. A smirk played on her features as she manuvered the apple core in her long, clawed fingers.

Closer...

Closer...

"Yo!" Bombs away!

Rex Vadnais
Rex's slightly increased hearing picked up on the quiet rustles of Alec. He turned around, searching for the source as his tail flicked keenly behind him. Amidst the trees, his blue eyes caught sight of a white shirt, then a body. "Hello...?" He couldn't make out who is was through the dense underbrush, but there was deffinately someone there.

He pushed the trees and vines from his way, prowling remotely in the canopy's shade.

Alec Derring
Alec continued minding his own business until he was abruptly attacked by a projectile apple core. "Wha' th' SHITE?" The irish boy almost tripped out of utter confusion, stumbling and righting himself to glare up at the tree he happened to be under. He was about to spew curses up at the foliage until he noticed the familiar reptilian form amongst the branches. "A-ha.. vereh funneh." He muttered, turning his head as he heard the greeting and matched the voice to the lion-man he'd met before. "Aye."

Amaya Vaughan
The iguana didn't seem to notice Rex until he began pushing through the underbrush. From such a high vantage point, you could see a lot... even if your vision was less then perfect. Looks like today would be an okay now that her two favorite guys were around.

"Sorry, I couldn't help myself!" Amaya called from above, then grabbed the branch she was sitting on, grabbing a lower one with her long, finger-like toes before dropping down onto it. She continued this until the branches became scattered and far apart. She then leaned foreward, her long claws digging into the bark and letting her come down rather easily head first.

Rex Vadnais
Rex came to the clearing that Alec and Amaya were in ust as Alec was wollapped promptly with the apple core from above. He laughed and took a few steps forward, looking up into the treetops. The camouflaged Amaya slinked down from the limbs, "Haddeh, guys!" He looked to the boy, pulling his name up from the jumbled mix of other islanders, he didn't want to make a fool of himself. "What're y'guys doing out here?"

Part of him was happy to have the unexpected company, though the solitude of the stroll had lost it's magic. At least he was now with people that he liked, as opposed to some others like Zach, for instance. He gave Amaya a big hug and nodded a head towards Alec, smiling inwardly.

Alec Derring
Alec gave a lopsided smile and waited for Amaya to crawl down from her vantage point before giving her a light shove, a weak comeback for the clever trick she'd pulled. "Ye ye."

He smirked and pivotted on his heels when he realized Rex was coming over, keeping his hands in his pockets. "Nuthin'." He shrugged blandly, not even having a viable reason for being there in the first place.

Amaya Vaughan
As soon as the girl has stepped on solid ground and stood up, she was swept into a hug by Rex. She grinned from ear to non-existant ear as she hugged him back. How she loved lion hugs.

Though at the shove, she simply stuck out her large, bright pink tongue. Ah, nothing like acting immature. Amaya stood by the tree, watching both of them from her lower vantage point now that she was out of her tree. "Wandering aimlessly?"

It felt odd to be with the two of them... kind of like a vetren hanging out with two young people. She was so changed, so different, so... animalistic. Sometimes the lizard felt she wasn't worthy of their company.

Rex Vadnais
Rex placed the lizard girl down and smiled. "Just a walk, well what do you know! The same with me. There was the party on the beach last night, but I got tired pretty early and bailed to bed." He shifted his weight and crossed his arms, still enjoying the luxury of clean, new clothes.

Alec Derring
Despite the 'relaxed' atmosphere he felt could be adopted around people he'd gotten close too like Amaya, Alec couldn't help but feel uneasy. It happened all the time, with Rex, Ambrose, any male he happened to meet, attributing it to a fear of getting his a** kicked. "Pretteh much." He offered the lazy response, kicking away some plant matter underfoot.

In an effort to make a better contribution to the conversation, the punk teen continued. "Was th' parteh fun?" He looked to Rex, then Amaya, assuming they'd both attended.

Amaya Vaughan
"A party? ... Ohhhh, yeah. That was last night?" Amaya blinked, having had no idea when it was supposed to take place. "I missed it. Oh well." She shrugged, not seeming too upset about it. After all, she had no idea who that Fiona person was and a large crowd with the possibility of people she didn't know being there was never really something she set out to go to.

The teen looked at Alec. "Guess you didn't go either then?"

Then she noticed something different about him, though it took her a minute of glancing to finally put her finger on it. "You ask for new clothes?"

Rex Vadnais
"Yeah! The party was alot of fun, met up with alot of people I haven't seen in a while and we played I Never." He remembered accidently revealing that Antony had been pregnant before. His stomache sunk and he slouched his shoulders a bit. "Alot of interestin' stuff happened." He forced a laugh as though some funny secrets came out, but really not a whole lot happened. Rex was still kicking himself for revealing his real first name, it should just be something he could be proud of, but he hated the connotation, no matter how Christian he actually was. "So neither of yeh went, huh?" One of the most exciting things to happen since his arrival at the island and these other two were locked up in their duplexes or something or the sort. Rex wished that everyone could've been there to have fun.

Then Amaya commented on his clothing, "Yeah! I just got them the other day. I finally just broke down and called the labs, my other ones were getting a bit gnarled anyway." He shuffled the dirt a bit with his foot, "You guys both came with your own supply of clothes right? I guess thats just one of the pros of not falling off a ship..."

Alec Derring
Alec shook his head about the party, skimping on an explanation for the sake of not furthering the subject. No matter how fun Rex made it sound, he wouldn't duck down to regret not going. He basically nodded to everything that was said, keeping quiet for the most part. He glanced between the two as they continued to openly converse.

"A' not askin' f'shite from th'labs." He suddenly decided to add, muttering low as if his comments would go completly unnoticed. He had a bit of a personal grudge going on, refusing to contact the staff for anything in an attempt to be self-sufficient and independant of their 'influences'.

Amaya Vaughan
"I Never?" Amaya raised a brow, having no idea what the game was really about.

"That good then." She smiled at Rex, though frowned at remembering he had fallen off a cruise liner. How horrible... "Yeah, I brought everything I owned with me since I figured I would be living here from now on. Guess I lucked out with the lie they fed me." The reptile gave an awkward smile.

Though on Alec's mutter, she nodded in agreement. "I hear that. I'm too scared of asking them for anything... ever since I changed I just started altering my own clothes. I've heard that sometimes they purposly give you things you can't even wear to mess with you." Amaya commented, remembering what Joliette had told her a long time ago.

Rex Vadnais
"I Never," He explained, "is a drinking game where you say something that you haven't ever done, then if the other people have done that, they take a drink. It's interesting, you sure learn alot aboout everyone that might not have come out before." He hated to judge by looks, but Rex could bet that Alec didn't mind a drink, no matter how illegal. Though Amaya was a different story.

Rex let out a short sigh at the discussion of the labs. "I'm not so gung-ho about what the labs are doing, and I certainly don't support the forced experiementation on humans... but the fact that they have a inclination to listen to our requests, within reason, isn't so bad. I mean, eventually we'll all be little animals runnin' about and they won't have to deal with getting us clothes, anymore.." What would it be like to be completely animal? He'd had small tastes of the lion here and there, but otherwise the end was nowhere within sight. How animal would they become? Amaya was the most animalistic person he'd seen on the island so far, but could they reallly take all of the human out of them? Would he lose his memories of being human... his friends...

Julie...

Alec Derring
Alec slumped, beginning to slowly regret not going to the party. Although he'd most likely get very pissed off if it was ever insinuated that he was a 'poser', the teen couldn't deny that he enjoyed a good drinking party. It was one of the 'activities' he was familiar with.

After the detour of party-talk, the conversation returned right back to the subject of ther transformations, much to Alec's dismay. What else were they supposed to talk about, right? It's was a reality they were all familiar with. But dammit if he'd ever enjoy it, no matter who happened to bring it up. He cose not to comment against Rex, one part spinelessness and one part 'not giving a s**t'.

The punk teen remained quiet, inwardly cursing at how godamn bored he still was.

Amaya Vaughan
"Oh... I'm kinda glad I didn't go then." The iguana said, crossing her arms slightly as if it would hide her scaley skin. She always felt horribly awkward when everyone around her was drinking.

Though at what Rex said, her throat caught. Had... he been told something? "What?" Green eyes went wide as she looked up at him. "I thought they were only going to give us animalistic features! And... and..." She started to fidget, looking upset and scared.

Rex Vadnais
Rex knew oh too well that the most of the people on the island weren't as lax on the subject of the changes as he was, and he could accept that. Though it was often hard to find something else to talk about on the island. Or do, for that matter. They needed to have some fun, a little spice never hurt anyone! But where could they go...?

His train of thought was interupted by a slightly panicked Amaya. For a second, he locked up, fumbling over his words while trying to find the problem. Eventually he managed to form a full sentence, "What? Oh, no, I don't know jack squat. I was just thinking about... well... the future... Just how bad are these things going to get?" He stopped, realizing he'd strayed from the path of not talking about the transformations. He didn't want to make the people feel awkward. But if it's something right there, inevidable, then why not confront it instead of hiding?

He had to change back to a happier topic of discussion, What was I thinking about earlier...? Oh, finding something to do! "Do you guys want to go to the beach? I could do with a swim... would you want to- err.. can you swim, Amaya?" Rex thought that he remembered something abour marine iguanas, but he didn't have the slightest clue when it came of stuff about animals. He only knew bits and pieces, basic knowledge.

Alec Derring
Alec flinched as Amaya grew suddenly frantic and upset, clearly disturbed by Rex's hypothesizing of their futures. He stared at her for a moment, trying to deicded how to comfort the lizard-like girl or if he should at all. He was human, how the hell was he supposed to make her feel better? She was clearly suffering. If he was in her shoes he's probably try to knock his lights out for trying.

But still Rex continued with the subject, and although the teen didn't blame him in the least for doing so, the situation only proved to further irritate him. "Why's evereh'un so ninneh about th' fyoocheh? Fook th' fyoocheh!" He yelled in the middle of the conversation, much louder than he had intended. He paused for only a moment, trying to evade the eyes of Rex and Amaya. "AN' FOOK THIS ISLAN'!" He ended bitterly, ignoring Rex's invitation as he turned to stomp off in the direction of the duplexes.

He was sick of hearing about animals, transformations, sadistic torture and suffering. He was ******** 17! He was supposed to be raiding malls and hurling eggs at the local school, not slumping around a paradise prison being poked and prodded and watched 24/7. The punkster had finally snapped under the pressure.

Amaya Vaughan
"Oh..." Amaya's breath caught in her throat as she let out a relieved sigh. Now that she thought about it... haden't Ambrose told her they each got four injections? Looking down, she counted on her fingers.

One when she arrived. One when she changed the first time. One when she changed the second time. And one when she changed this time... Was... she done? Was this as bad as it was going to get?

The girl swallowed a large lump in her throat, both overjoyed and saddened at the same time. No more pain, but now she had to live her life looking like some freak stuck halfway inbetween a green iguana and a human. She bit her lip, suddenly feeling like she was going to spit up the apple she had eaten previously.

Though before Amaya could even say anything or for Rex's invitation to fully register, Alec started off on a tangent. She jumped slightly, tail giving a nervous twitch behind her as she watched him then storm off. Swallowing, green eyes went down to her large, almost hand-like feet.

The poor guy was her age, she knew what he was going through... maybe... she could comfort him in some way. And he did seem a lot more quiet when Rex was around. "I'm gonna go see if I can help him... okay?" She finally said to the lion, looking up at him.

Giving him a quick hug the lizard looked up at him and took a few steps back before spinning around, tail flinging behind her as she ran after Alec. "Hey! Wait up!"

Stress Relief in the Entertainment Room

Alec Derring
Alec burst into the entertainment room in a huff, stomping his muddy boots across the floor befre flinging himself onto a sofa near the tv. The punk teen had a furious frown plastered on his face as he let his face contort against the sofa cushion he was sprawled out ontop. He didn't care that he was being followed, nor did he care to respond although he knew it was Amaya. He was in a sulking mood, a culmination of the stresses building up in his system. Antony had said he could always let out his tension with her but he realized he had never had a chance to. Everything led to sex with that one. He hadn't had an outlet for his emotion ever since he arrived on the island, save for his drumkit which he admittedly had been usuaing the most out of all other therapeutic options.

Letting out an aggitated sigh, he let his arm slide off and hang loosely over the edge.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya slowed down at the door of the entertainment room, frowning and peeking around the doorway. She looked around outside and then stepped in, closing the door behind her. The last thing Alec needed was someone else running in on him in such a mood.

Walking over to him, the iguana canted her head to the side slightly. Green eyes still watched his sprawled form, though she didn't say anything. It took her awhile to even think of something she could say.

"... Do you need another hug?"

Alec Derring
Alec didn't move a muscle, not even bothering to roll his head to the side to answer clearly seeing as his face was still smushed into the couch. "Mno." He answered childishly, muffled by the cushion. Even though he felt like locking himself up in his room like a kid throwing a tantrum, he was aware of who he was talking to. He stared at the floor for a moment before rolling onto his back, facing Amaya though he slung his arm over his face. "Muh." He sighed, making sure she understood he wasn't angry with anyone.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya's tail slid behind her from side to side, the sound of it rubbing just the tip of the carpet being the only sound from her for awhile.

She knew he was more upset then angry, so she settled for sitting on the arm of the sofa. He deserved to flop all over the couch. Finally though, she broke her own silence.

"... I... know how you feel."

Alec Derring
He wanted to counter with the obligatory "NO YOU DON'T!' but even the dim teen knew that wasn't true. She must have gone through all this plenty of times in the past, along with many other islanders present but it didn't make him feel any better at the moment. He remained silent, choosing not to comment on her admitting statement so soon. It wasn't like he wanted to talk about it or anything. He wasn't one of those happy-talk-open sort of guys.

"'Am so godamn bored." He eventually grunted. "'Ow d'ye keep sane 'ere? Eveh'uns so sad, i' drives a man crazeh."

Amaya Vaughan
The change of subject caught her a little off guard, but if Alec didn't want to talk about it she wasn't about to press. The girl raised a brow, propping her leg onto the arm of the chair and hugging it. Her long toes curling around the end on reflex.

"I used to sew a lot, though I can't very well anymore... I still like to try though." Amaya flexed her hands and looked at them before hugging her leg again, the other drapping lazily off the arm of the sofa. "It does get pretty boring, though. Videogames, movies, books... uh... walks?" She was seriously trying to think of something else.

Though it was less insane when you were the one sad... but the lizard wasn't about to bring that up. When you were more concerned of your own misery, time seemed to slide by doing nothing but crying.

"It does get very boring here. A lot of people have picked up extra hobbies. I know someone who gardens a lot. Ambrose fences and I sew... uhm... ********, I'm not helping." She sighed, slumping.

Alec Derring
Alec patiently listened to Amaya's responses, having not really expected as much of a straight answer as she had provided. He didn't have any hobbies except for drumming and drumming had always been his life, like breathing and eating. It didn't provided an outlet and some good ol' fun though.

Suddenly a wide grin began to spread across his face, masked partially by his arm that was still covering his face until he made an effort to move it. "You said fook." He then started to laugh.

Amaya Vaughan
And then he started laughing.

Amaya raised a brow and stared at him, then started laughing too. "Yeah, guess you've never heard me curse before." She smirked, then blinked as something occured to her.

"... Hey, y'know when me and Hargun would always hang out we would try and find the cameras, then make faces at them." Her smirk broadened.

Alec Derring
"Tha righ'?" Alec smirked, his past upset seeming to slip from his mind entirely. This new idea of course caused the teen to sit up on the couch and immediately begin searching for the cameras that were inevitably set up across the room they were in. He silently wondered if people actually CARED to watch every second of their lives.

"Where aw' they?" He grinned wider, starting to snicker as he propped himself up onto his knees and draped his top half over the back of the sofa.

Amaya Vaughan
"I'm not sure, they hide them pretty well." The teen got up and looked around. "They might be in the TV, or in some of the corners of the rooms... Maybe in the bookshelf?" She leaned over, staring at the blank TV screen.

Alec Derring
Alec glanced behind him at the tv, narrowing his eyes like he had the capacity to actually plot against. Sure enough, the irish boy slid off the furniture peice and slunk over to the tv that had previously had a wonderful view of his plaid posterior until he had moved. "Uh..." Like a caption right out of Indianna Jones, he reached back and snagged the wires connecting the tv to the wall, yanking them out as he'd done before. "HA!"

Looking mighty proud of himself when he glanced at Amaya, he sprinted over and leaped up onto the sofa cushions to stare at all the corners of the rooms one by one.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya just watched him, her brow still high on her head.

... Ah, what the hell.

She stood up straight and looked around. "I dunno if we'll be able to find them, but we could always take a good guess."

Alec Derring
Alec nodded and looked around while still on his perch on the cushions. He couldn't see any no matter where he looked. "They'd must be hidin n' lookin lack otheh thingehs..." He snorted and stared in silence, swinging his arms from side to side as he lazily scanned the room. "Come oooooout" He called out, beginning to bounce on the sofa like a disobedient child would on their parent's bed.

The teen whistled absent-mindedly before giving up and choosing a random corner of the room easier seen from his vantage point. "Oveh theh'?" He flopped his arm in the chosen direction and waited for somesort of confirmation. "A' bet i' is."

Amaya Vaughan
"Could be, sure." The reptile said, walking over to him. "You'd think the cameras would be in the corners, yeah. Since that seemed like the best vantage point for them."

Alec Derring
Alec continued to stare at that one particular corner he'd found, hopping away on the sofa. "Aaaaay bastehds! Aaaaay!" He started to laugh again, waving first to the supposed 'camera'

"Ye motheh's a sorreh sow from Wales!!!" The teen stuck out his tongue, excentuating the gesture by pulling down the edges of his mouth into an elongated frown. He couldn't care less what insults he was manufacturing, it was fun. He used to do this sort of shindig whenever a camera was in sight back home.

Amaya Vaughan
A sorry sow from Wales? Now there was an insult. Amaya smirked as she watched him. "I've been meaning to ask you, where are you from exactly?" His accent was familiar, though she didn't think it was safe to assume solely by that.

Alec Derring
"Belfast!" Alec breathed during a pause from his incessant bouncing, which had escalated enough to amuse him for the moment. "Northeh'n Ireland!" He made sure to add, assuming Amaya wouldn't know where Belfast was with such little information provided. "Ye?" It had become common practice to deflect a question like that right back to the asker, though he didn't know why. He wasn't that good with remembering details and most of the time he didn't care.

"A' should give 'em a shot o' me bum." He snorted but soon hopped (almost tripped) off the couch to look for something else to do.

Amaya Vaughan
Oooo, Ireland. That sounded like an interesting place to live. A lot more interesting then from where the iguana came from. "Pennsylvania." She then added. "It's in the United States, to the Northeast."

Then a brow raised at the bum comment. Omg that would be hillarious. She snickered.

Alec Derring
Soon the punk teen was wandering past the bookshelves that lined the room, scanning the titles on the bindings for interesting words with little interest. "Tha' righ'?" He responded blandly, thumbing each volume as he passed it by. "Ye don' seem Yankish t'me. More like... a' d'neh. Swedish." This of course, was based on an opinion divised from little fact or knowledge of geography or other cultures, not that he cared.

Finally Alec paused and turned to slump his back against the end of the long bookshelf, folding his arms in defeat at finding nothing else to do to occupy his time.

Amaya Vaughan
"Swedish?" Amaya raised a brow, having thought her accent would be one of the worst on the island. "Nope, I'm a yankee." She smirked, though was starting to feel the tempature outside decline... of course, the air conditioning in the room didn't help at all. Damnit.

"So are you feeling better?" The girl walked over to him. She'd try and ignore the sluggish feeling for now.

Alec Derring
Alec paused for a moment, letting the question linger for a second before nodding a response. "Ye actually." He continued to nod as if he needed to convince both Amaya and himself. "Ye, I do." The teen grinned, realizing he was much calmer than when he had entered the room. "Thanks." He would've ellaborated more on how grateful he was for her concern, though he just wasn't that kind of guy.

"A' should get back. Need t'bang some drooms." He snickered playfully, flexing his fingers. "See ye around aye? Stay hot!" He nudged her shoulder and turned to leave for his duplex.

Amaya Vaughan
"That's good. I should head back too." Amaya watched as he left, waving her long fingers. "I'll see ya around!"

She tried not to flinch at the 'stay hot' comment... and was thankful she couldn't blush anymore.

Happy 17th Birthday, Colche!

Amaya Vaughan
((*kicks the door in and posts* >=0))

Amaya was walking her way towards the cafeteria when singing caught her non-existant ears. She paused and looked around. Someone was singing... Happy Birthday? Why-OH! Was it May 1st already?! That meant it was Colche's birthday!

The iguana haden't seen her in what felt like months, so slowly she followed the singing to the rec room. Slowly she opened the door and peeked inside, looking around to see if there was anyone she didn't really want to run into.

But no, it seemed that all the people there were one's she didn't mind. Besides, it was her little sister's birthday and she could at least suck it up and enjoy the party for her sake.

Amaya almost joined in the singing, but didn't as something in the back of her mind told her to just be quiet and step up when they were finished. So she stood inside the door, watching silently.

Nita MacNeal
Nita grinned as Ambrose howled the last notes of the song. She stood up and clapped, wondering what Colche had wished for.

"Happy birthday!" she called out cheerfully.

Alec Derring
Alec skipped out on the singing but couldn't help but laugh, enjoying the cheerful song. He loved birthday parties and gave a loud round of applause after the song was finished with the howl offered by the wolfman. He spotted Amaya by the door and waved.

Kim Nguyet
Ambrose's own finishing touch to the song sent her into another small fit of giggles. That had been so cute ! She would have to actualy ask him his name. And remember it this time. This was still very embarassing.

"Happy brithday, Colche !"

Colche
Colche's sweet tinkly laughter echoed throught he room until her nose caught the scent of Amaya. the cheetah girl turned and grinned happily "Amaya!" She smiled and held out her furry arms. She had to resist puncing people, she dind't wont to rip her pretty dress. Smiling softly her big blue eyes were fixed upon the lizard lady. She was obviiously very glad to see her 'big sister' She knew Amaya would come, she just had to wait.

She wondered quietly if she was allowed to tell anyone what ehr wish was. She wasn't sure, were wishes supposed to be secret? She seemed to remember something in that winnie the pooh story about them being secrets. She shrugged, she was pretty sure her wish would come true. It was over a birthday cake after alla nd magic things happened at birthdays.

Those sweetly innocent blue eyes fell on Alec and she giggled again. the hat looked so funny on him and his voice was strange and funny to her. he had never heard anyone with such a strong accent before.

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose chuckled self-consciously at the other giggles from the partygoers, but he knew it was in good fun. Hearing Amaya's name, Ambrose turned to the door to see his other 'little sister' and smiled widely at her.

"Amaya! I'm glad you could make it! Come in, come in - there's cake and food and all sorts of things." He sad welcomingly, tail wiggling behind him and expressing his good mood.

He picked up his plate where he had let it earlier for the dance, and took another few bites of hotdog as he looked around at the faces. Things seemed to be going well - there were smiles, laughs. Not like how even with games and drinks people were frequently drawn back to their woes. Was it the atmosphere where you couldn't NOT smile and be happy for Colche, the company, or the fact that it was a birthday part. A princess-themed birthday party?

Hell, if it brough smiles to peoples faces and honest to god happy moods out of everyone, Ambrose would suck it up an have a princess party for HIS next birthday.

Kim Nguyet
Now that the songs and all where done, Kim was now eying the DDR machine the very same way that a little kid eyed a cookie jar that was juuuusssstttt badly in it's reach. She couldn't BELIEVE that there was a DDR machine in here. And she sure hoped it would STAY here ! But DDR... was much more fun with someone else dancing with you. Made you look just an hair less a moron.

But she couldn't think of anyone who would want a go at it. Expecially right this second.

Amaya Vaughan
The girl smiled and waved back, her hands locking just above her tail as she sauntered foreward and hugged Colche, mindful of her long gown. "Happy birthday, Colche! Your a big girl now."

As she pulled back from the hug she said small hello's to the others, though of course was focused on the birthday girl.

Alec Derring
Alec quickly noticed that he was becoming the target of a few giggle-fits around the room but this only made him grin, the attention-lover he was. His hat looked stupid and he knew it. But why not? This was a party.

Pyroth Ignatius
The commotion was hard not hear when you had canine ears and some pretty hefty sleep disorders going on. Pyroth had been in one of his states of half-snoozing when he heard the sounds outside and just had to go investigate. Getting to his feet, he had wandered down to the villiage center, following the various scents that led there.

When he spotted the streamers and decorations, he tilted his head slightly, a party? Whose?

He sincerely hoped it wasn't one of the new islanders, he couldn't deal with being one of the ones to freak them out with his half way between this and that appearance. Not on a day they were celebrating. But whatever, he told himself, there were quite a few animal scents present anyway, if anyone was to be unnerved, they probably already had been.

Still, he hesitated by the door slightly, not wanting to just barge in on what could be a private function.

Kim Nguyet
Kim finally managed to stop staring at the DDR machine for a moment, returning to scanning the room. Her gaze stopped on the coyote man as he came in, surprise barely hidden. He had changed since the last time she saw him, that was to be expected, but yet he seemed to much more... animalistic... than others.

She decided not to mention it, and waved at him instead, wondering if he would remember her.

Colche
Colche gave a happy puurr her smile forever plastered upon ehr pretty maw. The scent of someone familiar near by drifted to her nose but it was hard to destinguish over all the otehr scents in the room, both animal and still human. Colche looked between Ambrose and Amaya and giggled "big princess" she giggled.

Glancing at Kim she followed her gaze tot he machine she was looking at, what was that? Who knew, maybe she would find out one day. Her attention came quickly back to amaya and she grinned happily "I made wish" nodding an affirmative she looked secretive for a moment. "Ams I ..can I tell?" she tilted her head softly, her catty mannerisms seem,ed to become more pronounced as the days went by but she didn't seem to otice. That sweetly curious tilt was quite amusing.

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose gave Amaya a quick hug as she came in and joined the party. "Glad to see you. We dont' seem to see eachother around nearly as much as we ought to. Same to you Colche." He smiled.

He had also made note of the DDR machine, but filed it away for a later use, unless perhaps maybe to show it to Colche - she might like it. Angelina had loved the game back home, and had twisted his arm to get him one one the first time... only to be a put out when he wasn't nearly as silly looking on it as she had hoped. With following visual clues to how to move his feet or body training from reading an opponent to react to in fencing, Ambrose had taken to it pretty naturally. When they say that if you can fight, then you can dance, it wasn't far from the truth.

However, Ambrose was distracted when he noticed a new presense in the room, and smelled another canine.

Pyroth!. Ambrose's eyes widened. He had heard rumors about how far changed he had gone with his last change.... which by his count was the same amount as his own. And people weren't lying. While although Pyroth wasn't as ungainly in his posture and gait as he was when others had seen him due to practice, he was definately no longer fully upright. Ambrose tried to hide his surprise... and worry. Their last change they mgiht have been mistaken from brothers, ironically despite their widely different backgrounds. Were they still following the same 'path?'

He said none of this, though, and walked over to greet him. "Pyroth... hey.." His tail gave a few shakes. They both had changed since their last meeting.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya then noticed the punk's party hat, a non-existant brow raising. She giggled as well. "Niiiice." Reaching over to the table, she snatched one as well and put it on.

"Tell your secret?" The lizard questioned, then shook her head. "No, you havta keep it a secret just to yourself okay? Otherwise it might not come true!" She said rather dramatically and had yet to notice the coyote man enter.

As she hugged the wolf-man back, green eyes caught sight of Pyroth. Oh jesus. Though her eyes simply widdened as she tried to recall if he had seen her this changed either... so she shoved it forcefully to the back of her mind. "Hi Pyroth." She waved and forced a smile.

Pyroth Ignatius
Pyroth spotted Kim's wave from where he stood by the door and took it as an invitation or at least a route into the room. He paid no mind to her evident surprise, with the state he was currently in, it was to be expected completely. Stepping in from outside, he made a beeline over to where she stood, nodding in greeting, trying not to look intrusive.

"Hello again." he grinned, just glad that someone he knew was present. "What's going on?"

Only then did he get a chance to look around properly, spotting Colche dressed up fit for a princess he put two and two together.
"Is it Colche's birthday? Or am I just guessing in the dark?"

As these words left his mouth he became aware of Ambrose's approach, noting his scent before he saw him. He had changed since he last laid eyes on him, he was sure, but his changes did not seem so severe as his own, Ambrose still maintained a largely human shape whereas his own was something closer to the animal.

His ears flicked back in an innate gesture of greeting and placation, he didn't even notice.

"Hey Ambrose. It's been a while." It looked as though it had been longer than he thought.

EDIT: Despite all of this though, he was still surprised at the changes wrought in Amaya since he last saw her. If his expressions were not so canine now he'd have raised an eyebrow. As it was, he simply gave her a grin and a wave.

"Hello."

Aubrey Lockheart
Aubrey, having escaped to talk to some technicians (she wasn't exactly on Moreau's good side at the moment, so she didn't really have the day off). slipped quietly back into the room, sitting in a chair in the corner near the presents, just watching everything going on. She smiled a bit watching Colche have so much fun, and a part of her hoped she wouldn't be noticed - she didn't want the other islanders acting all weird because there was a staffer in the mix.

Colche
Colche turned and finally spotted Pyroth. She didn't seem int he least surprised though she did pad over to him and bend down to give him a furry kitty cirl hug "hai Pyroth" she puurred, ehr eyes shining happily. She missed Pyroth when he wasn't around and he hadn't been around for a while. He was one of the few men she really, really trusted and she touched his cheek gentkly with her nose before standing to her full hight again "like my dres/" she giggled giving a little twirl and spotting Aubrey in doing so. She waved, noticing her by her pile of presents. She was definately ready to open them now.

"Come presents .." she grumbled a little biting her tongue "open gift now" her brow still creased, it wasn't quite right but she was definately ready to see what she had gotten for her birthday. She held out a furry fingered hand to Pyroth hoping he would come with her. She really had missed the cayote man.

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose's expression and slow wag with ears back conveyed the sympathy and worry for his canine friend. "How are you holding up, Pyroth...?" Ambrose asked tentively. There really was almost more animal to his appearance than the man he had met what seemed like ages ago.
Ambrose had fretted when he heard he had one change left. It was likely the same for Pyroth... who did look caught between two worlds. Maybe.... it could even help him. But what about Ambrose? Would he change again only to be stuck awkwardly between two ways of movement..?

He shook his head. He promised himself he wouldn't think about this.

"Presents! Presents sound like a perfect idea." He walked over to where Amaya, Colche and Pyroth were. His eyes darted quickly to Aubrey, but he didn't say anything. Ambrose was one of the islanders most tolerant of that particular staffmember and given the occasion didn't want to risk an explosion. He knew Aubrey and Colche's bond.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya gave a smile and a nod to Pyroth before watching the cheetah girl wave to someone. Thinking someone else they knew was around, she looked over at Aubrey and visably jumped like she had just seen a monster... and in some ways in her eyes, she had.

"Oh... yeah. Time to open presents." She forced herself to look away from the staff member and over at Colche, forcing herself to stay no matter how much her mind screamed at her to run.

Pyroth Ignatius
To Ambrose Pyroth replied "Doing okay. Been better you could say." but he wasn't about to put a damper on things.

As the birthday girl made her way over to him, Pyroth said "excuse me for a moment." to the others, turning, tail swishing slightly behind him. he returned her hug as best he could, glad to see she was still well, and looking as though she was having a good time today. "'Lo." he grinned, ears still back amiably. "I was just about to say, you look like a princess right out of a fairy tale all dressed up like that."

"Presents eh? Okay, lets see what you've got." he would have brought a present of his own, had he known, but he'd make it up to her later, belated gift or not.

He allowed himself to be led to the presents, giving the others a brief apologetic smile.

"Birthday girl's orders."

Aubrey Lockheart
((I'll be posted a little out of order once the presents start coming because I'll be posting whats inside XD))

Aubrey smiled and looked around the room. So much for laying low. But so far people seemed to be taking her presence well - at least they were tolerating her for Colche's sake.

The pile was sizable - a couple of small presents positioned around a few larger one. All wrapped in blues, yellows, and pinks for the theme.

"You're the princess, just pick up one you want and dig in. You can shred the paper, be careful of what might be inside."

Colche
Colche giggled happily sitting, VERY carefully on the floor she pulled Pyroth with her. She wanted the Cyote man to stay for a while. She hadn't seen him in so long.

Her tail flickered behind her and her dress lay in a sortof poufy fashion around ehr as she reached for a gift. Her claws made it a little difficult to get in to the package, but it was a small one and she was careful tearing the paper away and discarding it to look at the present within.

Nita MacNeal
Nita had to admit to herself that she was just a bit intimidated-- not really by the drastic changes exhibited by the people around her, but by the sheer number of them. At least the couple of people she diligently tried to avoid probably wouldn't be showing up; they hardly seemed like the types to come to a birthday party for Colche. She stayed in her spot in the corner, although she shifted forward in her seat to watch the gift-opening.

Lily Delaney
Lily, in an attempt to escape the odd comfort that came from her now humid room, left for the slightly less comfortable outside. She's been shying away from public lately, but her curiousity draws her to the great sign at the entrance to the Center. When she is close enough to read it, she smiles. Colche's birthday! She hesitates before stepping through the entrance and hanging back by the doorway.

"Hah," she murmurs, arriving in time to see near the beginning of the gifts. What a nice time to arrive, and the sign did say everyone is encouraged to come. Staying near the wall, she finally walks into the room and heads around towards the gift table. She doesn't recognize any of the people there as people who were angry with her, but can't help but feel that if she's safe going anywhere, it's a birthday party for Colche.

She doesn't say anything when she gets near the table, instead finding a place to watch happily for now.

Aubrey Lockheart
THe first present contained a book - one of Aubrey's childhook favorites: The Wizard of Oz by Frank L. Baum. Aubrey was hoping Colche would soon graduate from picture books and start reading simpler child chapter books. She was very proud with how well she had been doing already.

Amaya Vaughan
The teen stood behind Colche as she watched her open her gifts, turning to look at the door when it opened. Lily? Wow, she had changed. Waving a large hand to her, she smiled. She was still totally in the dark that she woman was actually previous staff.

Colche
Colche Looked at the book and bit her tongue spelling out the words "The..wiz..urd..ov..Oz" she smiled looking upa t Aubrey with a gtin and placing the book in her lap as ashe reached for another package again being careful to peel away the shiney paper. A book, her passage way to imagination and that precious speach she so longed for.

Opening her second package she giggled happily, she was surrounded by friends. She rose a hand to Lily and waved, happy to see another familiar face.

Ambrose Maurlias
Ambrose smiled, tail wagging some more as he saw the first gift revealed. "Oooh, that's a good book, Colche. There is even a movie that goes along with it that you can watch after you read it. I bet you will like it." He smiled.

He looked over as yet another person wandered in, this one he wasn't familiar with, but by her appearance had been here for at least some time - and looked rather... well.... froggy. He nodded to her and glanced to Aubrey, and to the stack of gifts. it was rather evident that she was responsible for all of them.

Very quietly, he murmured over to the staffmember. "I wish I had known... I would have tried to get her something... or.. well... at least make her something"

Lauren Granger
Lauren walked into the party, not totally aware that it was Colche's birthday till she saw the streamers and signs. She felt like a total a** for not getting her a present but continued to walk in.

She smiled at Colche, who had been opening gifts at the time, "Happy Birthday Colche!" She said as she wrapped the cheetah girl in a hug.

Lauren had also noticed Nita as she waved at the girl slightly embarrased that the woman had to take care of her when she was drunk. She still couldn't remember what happened that night but knew she was clinging onto the woman. From what Lauren could remember, Nita didn't seem to mind. She hoped that memory was more reality than drunkiness.

She also noticed Amaya and gave the girl a wave with a big teethy smile. She knew the girl hated her but she hadn't seen her forever it seemed. Amaya had changed a lot.

Aubrey Lockheart
The second packaged contained a DVD of an older, not as well known Disney movie. But it seemed very appropiate:

Aubrey looked to Ambrose and nodded the pile. "Your present to here somewhere, Ambrose, why don't you get it." She gave him a pointed look and a smile.

Lily Delaney
Lily is encouraged when Amaya waves to her, even though she can't be sure that Amaya knows about her. Either way, now is not the time. Instead she opts for smiling a bit and waving back when she reaches the table- she doesn't say anything, for she is uncertain about her speaking abilities with her tongue now attached at the front of her mouth. Her stomach twists at the thought, but corrects itself when she sees Colche wave to her.

And then a nod from a very canine looking man. And the entrance of another person she's never seen. She smiles and looks back to Colche and the presents.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya gave a glance at the mongoose, but otherwise made a point to totally ignore her and watch Colche open presents instead.

Amaya walked into her duplex after a rather average day. She had wandered around the jungle and basked in a couple of trees, ate when it was appropriate, tidyed her room, listened to music, grabbed some books from the entertainment room that looked interesting, watched a movie... whatever she could think of to keep herself occupied.

And tomorrow would be the exact same. Get up once the sun was high enough in the sky and repeat what she had day after day since she had arrived almost nine months ago.

Island of Moreau
This PM is for YOUR (and your team's) Eyes Only!
(Although it is your responsibility to get this information to your teammates.)
Do NOT post this to your journal, at least not until after the event is over.

Once you get this PM, you may start posting and RPng.
ICly, the time for the characters is Sunday morning when all begins, NOT Saturday like it is IRL.

****

The storm came in swifty- what was only a few threatening thunder clouds on Saturday morning turned into a full-scale tropical storm by that evening. The winds are dangerous and strong, sending foliage debris and water everywhere. Its not impossible to walk in, but its difficult.

Saturday evening, something you may have never hoped to witness again happens. The power goes off. With the sinking whine of electricity failing suddenly everything goes to black. But before the islanders can get too excited, there's a loud thumping that can be heard between the claps of thunder, and the power comes back on about four minutes later. Only half the lights in your duplex would turn on, your water won't get above luke warm... but there is definitely power.

The whole island seems to be either low on power or saving its electricity. The rec room and entertainment room are shut down, but the cafeteria is fully functional under the dim lighting. It isn't until later Saturday night, around midnight, that anything major changes. The storm picks up and gets even worse. The island is swept up in gigantic lightning storm, and after a loud crash, and a huge flash of light the power go off again. This time, isn't doesn't come back immediately.

Early Sunday morning, right at dawn, the rains have settled down as the storm begins to pass. The power comes back on with a triumphant hum of electricity, bathing the village in its normal light, waking you. By the time you seem to realize what's happened though, you begin to feel a tingling in the back of your neck. It almost tickles - running down your spine and giving your chill bumps. It continues for about a minute - then it hits you. A sudden, painful ZOT of electricity that causes all your muscles to spasm violently for a few seconds...then everything fades to black.....

You wake up early Sunday morning, the sun barely cresting over the horizon, but the sun is a VERY welcome sight and change from the days of gloomy rain that has kept you nearly confined to your duplex. Going outside, the village at first is almost completely dead save for the familiar smell of food from the cafeteria. As you're walking, taking in the warm rays, something glittering catches your eye between the Duplex 33/34 and 35/36. Going over to investigate you find a LARGE, nasty looking and bloody bowie knife.

***

Over the course of Friday and Saturday, you see several islanders just going about eachothers daily routines.
o Friday ? Angelina (looking distressed), Kim, Alec,
o Saturday: Timothy

((You can, if you want, at a later date backtrack and expound on these conversations if you REALLY want to, but for the most part these would be casual spottings of other people. Some you may not even have seen before at any length, but you recognize them in passing if not by name)).

Amaya wandered down the familiar pathway towards the cafeteria, her long toes smacking against the nasty, muddy ground. How she wished she could figure out how to make a pair of shoes for herself... Sadly, she wasn't that skilled.

The last couple days had been a nightmare. The iguana had been stuck inside for almost two days due to the bone-chilling rain... Not to mention the whole scare when the lights flickered. Last time that had happened she woke up next to two dead, fake bodies. She had seen enough death... waking up on her duplex floor with only a sharp pain in her neck was a blessing compared to that.

Absently Amaya rubbed the sore spot, but jerked her large palm away as it stung. What had that been about anyway? Had they put her to sleep? But why had it taken so long before taking effect? And even so, why had she woken up in the same spot she had fallen next to her bed? She heaved a heavy sigh.

Enough of this. The girl wanted food after only living off spare things in her mini-fridge for the past day and a half.

Though as she walked closer and closed towards the smell of nice, warm food... something caught her eye as it glinted against the nice, warm sunlight. Amaya stopped and raised a non-existant brow. Green eyes stared at the spot where she had first seen it, only blinking once whatever it was shone again.

Did someone leave something outside that got tossed about by the storm? If so, the lizard would probably return it... it was the only nice thing to do, right? She walked over to the object, slowing down as it came clearer and clearer into her view.

Was that... blood?

Amaya stood over the knife, eyes wide as she stared down at it then looked at the duplexes it was between.

Oh god... OH GOD. Was it for real this time? Was it just another sick joke? Tears started to well into her eyes, mind reeling at what she could, or should do.

When it came down to it, the teen was just that... a scared, lonely teenage girl. She screamed and spun around, running in the first direction her legs picked for her.

Attacked
(Amaya wanders into the jungle and is attacked by Zach, flees and has a mental breakdown)

Amaya Vaughan
New RP

Amaya didn't know how long she had been running, but now she was tired... and hungry. Slowly she stopped, having ran somewhere deep into the jungle. Sniffling, the back of her large palms rubbed at her tear stained eyes as she let out another sob.

She was scared. She was confused. She wanted to go home even if it meant being alone for the rest of her life. Hell, wasn't she alone now?

The iguana stood amongst the underbrush, rubbing at her eyes and trying to calm herself down enough so that maybe she could find her way back to the cafeteria... or her duplex... or something.

Zachary Bloodstone
A pair of very yellow eyes watched Amaya from behind some tall bushes. Despite his scales being a very impractical color, the iguana girl had failed to see him. Excellent.

He'd tasted her fear while walking, using his underdeveloped tongue, and while it was not as satisfying as blood, it was quite enticing. He was so sore, though... all over. His body ached from the tip of his tail to the points of his horns, and then some. He'd changed, all right. Just how much he hadn't managed to grasp yet. Not that he was that coherent at the moment. Most of the hunting was being coordinated by the animal thing that had invaded his mind zealously not too long after his post-transformation hunger had set in.

Whatever it was, he had his suspicions those instincts wasn't as animal as it had been before... just as he had lost some humanity to the beast.

His tail moved a little in agitation, accidentally rustling the bushes.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya sniffled more and stoped wipping her eyes, settling to hugging herself and taking deep breaths. The air was still cold with the previous rain and even though she couldn't shiver, she could tell her energy had depleated somewhat.

Some bushes rustled behind her and she spun around to stare wide eyed at Zach. Was... that Zach? He had changed a lot.

"Zach?" The girl wiped her eyes again, despite the fact she wasn't crying anymore. Unlike some of the other islanders, her senses had yet to develop much at all and were still the same as they were when she arrived. One thing she had gained however, was that sixth sense.

Her tongue flickered and she froze, somehow able to pull the feeling she got from the man in front of her as something bad... a predator. Amaya's tail went rigged behind her.

"Z-Zach?"

Zachary Bloodstone
As much as the as the predator thought it could take Amaya down, the horrible aches and pains from every place in his body were saying otherwise. For several seconds he stood above her, his unnervingly blank expression appearing to size her up. Amaya probably smelled the blood on him by now. He hadn't washed it off yet, there were still splatters of it all over him, much as there was still a fairly thick layer of it on his hands.

In one sudden movement he shot forward, his right arm outstretched while his left hung limply beside him. The tiny wings on his back tried hopelessly to flap, though every move of them sent horrible pain down his spine. His mouth was opened wide, showing off a set of teeth that were all sharpened now. The only sound that seemed to come from his dry, tortured vocal cords was a hissing mixed with the sound of a human in pain.

Amaya Vaughan
As the lizard noticed the blood she just stared. Only did her mind stop when he lundged foreward. Human instinct and thought shut completely off and the animal she had come to despise so much took complete control to save her life.

In one quick movement she crouched and spun around, sending her strong tail straight towards Zack in an attempt to maybe hit him off balance. If that didn't work and he grabbed onto it, the end would simply detach and wiggle on it's own accord while she took off in the other direction.

Zachary Bloodstone
The pain was becoming too blinding even for the hardy dragon-chimera of instincts. Between walking the jungle and this act of complete desperation, he'd lost a large amount of energy. The force of Amaya's tail colliding with his legs was just enough to unbalance him. He went down quickly, tripping at first but eventually sliding on his scaly knees with his fin-spiked tail curling about him in some useless form of protection. The twisted hissing had stopped. He blinked his yellow eyes for a moment, as though he had just noticed Amaya was there. First the right hand, then the left moved upward to grasp at the sides of his head in a very human fashion. He ran the clawed fingers clumsily back through his hair, avoiding his horns. His ears - or rather, what was left of them - were visible briefly as nothing more than slightly raised holes branching off into red frills.

He appeared about to say something to her before he started to cough. There was still blood in his mouth from earlier. His attention shifted rapidly, however. He stared down at the ground, pulling his arms down so he could look at his bloodied palms. "I... I didn't... not again..."

The throbbing pain all over reminded him - he'd definitely changed.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs murred and grumbled, coughing and hacking up a bad taste in his mouth. He sat up and winced, the sun was bright in his eyes and he covered them with his paw. The head ache was unbearable, his head was thumping wildly, the noises of the jungle where not helping. The bird, the monkeys howling, Chubbs growled and shouted.

" Shut up!"

A flock of birds took off into the sky and it was now that Chubbs began to realise where he was. A flicker of something he remembered popped into his mind and he began to look around, seeing the jungle. He was confused, this isn't where he was last time he remembered. Another bout of pain to his head and a flash of memory struck him once more. Chubbs got to his feet slowly and felt dreched and horrible. He sniffed about and blinked. He knew that smell, but it couldn't be right? And there nearby, those marks on the tree, what had he done?

Chubbs started walking backwards and started running through the jungle, trying to endure the throbbing pain in his head. He felt as if he was smacked over the head with a sledge. He thought he was starting to hear voices, and peered up from where his was, dripping all over the place to see where they were coming from.

Not too far from him, he saw a familiar green figure, and the sight of her brought images flooding back into his mind. And soon after, someone that looked vaguely familiar. The image was there in his head but it wasn't quite him, Chubbs was sure they guy only had one arm. But it looked like this "Zach" and was acting like it. Chubbs was sick of this island, sick of Zach, sick of waking up in the jungle and sick of being coated in... god he didn't want to know. When zach finally dropped, Chubbs barged out from the trees and cracked a few small ones over. Putting himself between Amaya and Zach, he looked at the flaeen freak with a killer look in his eyes and let him remember the time in the cafeteria where they met. And with a big breath, he roared.

Amaya Vaughan
Even as Zack fell and started coughing and sputtering and Chubbs roared, Amaya had already grabbed hold of the nearest tree and with strenght she didn't even know she had, hoisted herself up with her large hands and sharp claws. They dug into the bark, pulling her up... and up... and up...

When she was more then seven feet above ground she started to slow down. Gripping a branch with her feet and hands, her tail stayed rigged. Slowly, she started to regain her mind back and laid down on her branch.

Somehow, she had remembered those past few seconds like they had happened hours ago. Hugging the tree her body shook, though she dare not look down. Not yet.

Zachary Bloodstone
Zach blinked at the large, furry man who now stood between him and the now vanishing Amaya. He looked like he meant business. Zach would have been perfectly happy to take the business card and run like hell, but he was too weakened. The instinct animals roamed about the corners of his mind defensively. Zach merely shut his eyes at the sight of a guy streaking. That was just... something he didn't have to see in addition to blood on his hands.

He didn't have any idea what the man wanted till the deafening roar sounded. Even though he'd lost a substantial amount of hearing to his new ears, it was a recognizable sound that sent a justifiable amount of terror down his spine. The same guy from the cafeteria who'd almost strangled him. Covered in what appeared to be... blood?

What the hell is going on!?

By now it seemed like he was incapable of paling, though certainly underneath his reddish skin the blood rushed away from his face. The sluggishness of his brain and the pain generated by every nerve in his body from reacting. He merely sank down further and with his twinging arms tried to protect his head. Already his luck was the same as ever - atrocious.

"Uh... d-don't kill me... p-please..." he mumbled stupidly. There wasn't a more eloquent way for him to put it. As much as the predator was in the mood for iguana, he was not in the mood for a broken neck.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs stood there with a snarl on his lips and as tall as he could be. His claws clicked togther as he held them out for display. He wanted to attack, but he wasn't completely dumb, he'd go down in seconds. The first rule of being a security guard, it's what was going through his mind right now. You are a deterant first and foremost, not the law. Chubbs figured if he couldn't act, he'd make sure the Zach b*****d wouldn't either. With a claw pointing out to Zach like a knife blade, Chubbs decided he had to make this guy remember to behave. His teeth gritted as he spoke, clenching with a curled lip.

" Why is it.... that every tim I see you... YOU ARE ATTACKING ONE OF MY FRIENDS!!!!"

Chubbs starred at the guy enraged, and it was only then he finally saw beyond what was going on and saw his hand. They were soaked, all up his arms. Chubbs blinked at the red, the sight of himself bathed in blood. He starred at his claws, and the bits of wood? An image flashed inot his mind of scratching something hard. Looking down at himself, it was everywhere, the wet and the blood and some dirt. On top of that, there was barely andy remains of his clothes, only scraps, he was naked. Chubbs dropped to his knee's in confusion and shock

" Wha..what the hell?"

Amaya Vaughan
Even as the two converse under the tree she was in nearby, none of the words reached her. Right at that moment she was dead to the world, her eyes wide open and her body pressed tightly to the tree branch she perched on while her body shook almost hard enough to shake the branch.

Slowly, green eyes looked down at the two figures. Good, they weren't following. Her tongue flickered, catching the thick taste of blood in the air combined from Chubbs and Zack.

Once again Amaya froze, staring down in shock. The images of Zack attacking her. The knife. The two bodies she had found charred at the helipad that had been set there just to mess with her mind. The sight of her parent's car, mangled and almost dripping in the cursed red liquid. Their corpses laying in closed coffins. Even the pain of her transformations seemed to add to the madness that stirred in her still young mind.

The teen sat up on the branch, her back pressed against the trunk. Hyperventalating, her face contorted in pure emotional pain as her will finally snapped in two like a dry twig.

A pained, childish and horrified scream echoed out from above. Amaya grabbed at the sides of her head and drew her legs closed, sobbing uncontrollably and shaking.

Zachary Bloodstone
"I... um... I just..." He swallowed hard before he could let the word "changed" follow up his stuttered reply. After a good minute of waiting, he realized there didn't seem to be any claws embedded in his organs. from between his thinner and more humanoid fingers, Zach peered out at the brown-furred man. Looked like the other guy had only just noticed the fact that his hands were soaked in red blood.

He made no response to the question because had no answer. He was just as confused, and even a bit sickened, by whatever was happening. And that cave... it looked like everyone else seemed to be scattered about. Was this that dreaded lockout he'd heard talked about? He had to get away from here, though, before he was ripped to shreds. Slowly, carefully, he moved to get up, pushing himself off the ground and getting into a standing position. He had been about ready to bolt when Amaya shrieked, making him jump and his tail lash. He took a couple steps back, scooting closer and closer to the foliage nearby. He didn't feel able to outrun the monstrous-looking man, but he could try. Especially if that seizure-like behavior could distract him. Zach didn't have the time to feel sympathetic, much as he should have.

Unfortunate enough that he wasn't sure where he was, but the mountain was a good landmark. He'd head in that direction. That's where the village was. That's where he could wash all the blood off. And maybe, given that he didn't seem to be alone in his blood-soaked state, he could find out what had happened during all the time he had no memories of. Not even daring to look back, he darted into the bushes and away, making for the only bit of civilization on the island.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs blinked and looked up, two things snapped him out of his stare. There was the fact Zach had took off, which brought Chubbs back to his feet, ready to bound after him, then there was the scram, the ear shattering scream that bellowed from Amaya. Chubbs found himself torn between the two, to stay or give chase. With a short annoyed growl he snapped around to Amaya.

Chubbs made his way towards Amaya, he didn't know what was going on but it looked bad. Did he look so frightening to her now? He stopped at the base of the tree and peered up, she was manic and he didn't know why.

" Amaya?! hun?! what is it? calm down it's alright he's gone... it's okay"

He was worried now, wondering if Zach had done something horrible to her.

Amaya Vaughan
The reptile continued to sob, making muffled cries into her scaley legs. Everything from below was muffled, save for her name. Like someone was calling from above as she was underwater, and then resurfacing as the water dripped from her ears.

Amaya!? Hun?!

Slowly Amaya lifted her head and looked down. Her tongue flickered again, as she caught Chubbs' "scent"... along with the blood. Why was everyone she met covered in blood?! As much as she trusted him, she couldn't go back on solid ground. It wasn't safe.

Her body still shaking, the green iguana shifted and grabbed to climb onto a lower branch. She kept this up until she knew the man could hear her. "Everyone... everything is covered in blood." She gripped the branch she sat on, tears still slipping occasionally from her eyes.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs looked up at Amaya and winced, he wish there was a shower or something near by he could clean himself. But as of now he was saturated and it wasn't coming off anytime soon. He held out his arms to her, offering to help her down from the tree. He really wished he had shorts right now.

Then the was a booming voice that sounded like it was coming from everywhere. He turned around a bit, trying to see if anyone was near him. Chubbs listened to the voice, one he hadn't heard before, and his eyes widened. Someone had been hurt, a staff it sounded like, and one of the islanders did it?

Chubbs blinked and slowly looked at Amaya, as if he was suddenly going to be accused.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya... really didn't know what to do. After the booming announcment, which caused her to jump and almost fall off the branch she sat on, she stared down at Chubbs. He was covered in blood. Zack was covered in blood. The knife was covered in blood.

All at once, the girl seemed to loose her will to keep crying. Her body slumped and she practially fell into Chubbs' bloody, furred arms. If he had killed her and was now holding her... why bother. Maybe death would be better then this hellish, bloody nightmare.

For awhile she said nothing, only speaking when her mouth was muffled by his chest. "I wanna go home..."

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs really wished now he had been cleaner, poor Amaya must have been terrified. He sighed and was glad she wasn't looking at him like a killer, he didn't need that. He gently bent down and scooped her up in his arms with a bit of a grunt and looked around where he was.

With a the mountain as a guide point, he figured he could make his way towards the duplexes. Chubbs carried Amaya towards her home, he felt he had to reassure her.

" I dunno what's goin on hun, or what happened, but I promise, I won't hurt you"

Amaya Vaughan
For awhile Amaya remained silent, half of her face pressed into the man's scruffy fur. Her tail hung loosly, swaying as she was carried. It tapped his leg once and she immediantly brought it up and out of the way, grabbing it with her arms so it wouldn't get tired if she were to hold it up by itself.

"I... found a knife before I ran into here. It was bloody." She said, almost randomly. "Think I should find it again and then take it to the labs? ... I don't want to help them, but I don't want them to hurt people more then they already have..." The lizard seemed torn.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs blinked and lookeddown at her. A knife? what kind and it was bloody? It was pretty smart of the young girl to think of that and he nodded, if they could take it ti the labs, it'd be a good idea, and maybe he wouldn't look like the bad guy.

" Okay, do you remember where it was exactly? We'll try to get it, but do ya mind once we get it that I ah... go wash off and grab some clothes?"

Amaya Vaughan
"Sure, that's fine." Amaya nodded slowly, green eyes watching the tip of her tail move with every time he stepped. "I think it... was near Rex's duplex. I know that for sure."

"Where did... Zach go?" Suddenly reminded that he wasn't around, she looked around warily.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs made his way through the trees and bushes and tried to remember the name that Amaya had told him. He thought it sounded like a familiar name, but he guessed it was just probably the dinosaur.

" Rex, hmm I guess you can point it out to me when we are there."

Her question maded him raise a brow down at her, was it him that only saw Zach's beastial side? He shouldn't have been so rough on the guy, Chubbs knew all to well the difficulty of staying in control.

" I think I scared him off hun, he's gone, sorry, juset.... he was chasing you and... I didn't want to see you get hurt."

Amaya Vaughan
"It's okay. I'm glad you showed up." And despite the fact Chubbs was covered in blood, the teen really was. "I was really scared... I thought he was gonna eat me."

As the village got closer and closer, she shifted. "You can put me down now, so I can show you wear it is." Amaya felt bad for making him carry her... but the contact and feeling that she was safe in his arms overode that.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs nodded and looked at her, as he slowly placed her down feet first onto the ground. He liked to carry people, it made him feel strong and helpful, and it was a good feeling.

" I didn't mind hun, but okay"

He still offered to take her hand in his as he walked towards the village and the duplexes, hopefully that knife was still there, and the person that used it hadn't stolen it already.

Picking up Evidence

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya took the offered hand and lead Chubbs to where she had previously found the knife. Thankfully it was still there. It was a large bowie knife, covered in blood. "I should pick it up with something... they might be able to check it for prints."

Well... Chubbs certainly had nothing to supply to hold it. So... with a sigh, the iguana took off her shirt. It wasn't like she had boobs anymore anyway. Dropping the already red tank top on the handle, she picked it up careful not to touch it with her hands.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs stared down at the knife, it was freakin huge. If someone had been stabbed by that... how in the heck were they alive? He was going to attempt to hold the thing up in his claws when Amaya jumped the gun and stripped off her top. Chubbs blinked as the young lizard girl stood there topless, he screamed in his head. As much as he couldn't help his naked situation, why was it every girls was always naked around him. Her lizard like chest didn't help much, the image was there and he decided to concentrate on the knife... quickly...before things got out of hand.

" Try holding it by as little as possible, and by the dull part of the blade, the prints if any would be on the handle"

Amaya Vaughan
"Okay." Amaya crouched down and picked it up as she was told, holding it carefully. Even though techniqually she didn't have breasts anymore, it was rather... uncomfortable. Thankfully Chubbs had nothing to look at... after her last transformation they remained nothing more the fatty lumps that were shaped like boobs. "Back to your place then up to the labs?" She questioned.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs nodded and stood in front of her and with his claws, he gently toyed with her top and dangled it over the whole of the knife as best he could.

" Don't think it'd be best that you were seen carrying that thing, you don't know what the islanders will do in the state of upheaval"

Chubbs then, placed hi arm around her and lead her towards his duplex.

Amaya Vaughan
"Yeah, guess your right..." The girl looked down at the large knife, then walked silently with Chubbs towards his duplex. "You think they'll find prints and all of this will be over?

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs lead her up to his duplex, holding her close and looking around him periodically, checking for other islanders.

" I dunno hun, .. I hope it is as simple as that. There maybe no prints at all on that thing, and that may not be the victims blood."

Thinking about the blood, he looked down at himself and the drying mess on his fur. It really was evidence too, he couldn't just wash it off.

" Hun, I'm.... I'm gonna just grab some shorts and we can go to the labs. I figure they can find out what blood this is on me... I'd like to know myself...And if it happenes to be that lab person, then the islanders won't have to worry anymore"

They finally got to his door, and with a turn of the knob he stepped inside, not seeing Joliette at all.

Amaya Vaughan
"You mean you don't know?" Amaya asked as she watched him go inside, but didn't enter out of politness so he could dress in private. But if he had done it... then... no. Chubbs didn't do it.

She couldn't stand loosing him too...

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs shook his head and looked over at Amaya as he rifled through his bag and found a pair of black shorts to slip on, he hoped he had enough clean clothes when he got back. He muttered about how his clothes were dwindling, he'd have to beg for some more.

" Nah hun, I really don't know... that's why I'm worried. I dunno what happened, I dunno how i woke up naked in the bush, and dunno what day it is"

When he finally put the shorts on he headed back to the door and stepped out, closing it behind him. He took a moment to adjust his tail and motioned to the road towards the labs

" Lets hope they find out something important"

Amaya Vaughan
After Chubbs had put shorts on, both of them started down the long road towards the intimidating looking building that had started everyone's torment. Even when they were miles away from it it was like walking into a bear cave... no pun intended, for her companion's sake.

"I... hope they find something. I don't want this to stretch any longer then it has to."

After about a mile of walking (the trip to the labs was a good three or four mile walk) they passed a Feral Labs jeep along the side of the road. It was on the shoulder, facing the same direction they were walking. The tires were THOROUGHLY mired in the mud.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs nodded in agreement, he wanted this sorted out. Who knows who were at each others throats by now. Chubbs really believed this was another sick prank or experiment again.

He kept Amaya cose to him, he just thought keeping her close and warm would help her not to be afraid. Up ahead he noticed the jeep on the side of the road, it looked pretty bogged in. He decided to let the labs know about it. He noticed the lack of keys, a pitty, if he had got it out of the mud, he could have driven there and back, screw this walking stuff.

" Better let em know bout that too, we can check it on the way back"

With that he continued on.

Island of Moreau
About another mile and a half up the roads (and finally getting closer to the labs) they saw a second jeep. This one, however was facing the direction of the village and had swerved off the road and into a tree to their left. The front looked pretty banged up. It hadn't quite wrapped itself around the tree, but it was definately pretty badly damaged. The airbags have deployed and now hung limply in the front seats. The keys are still there, but no amount of twisting them will start the vehicle.

THe inside is mostly undamaged, except a few tears on the seats - but they may or may not be new. And of course, the whole thing is pretty waterlogged.

Amaya Vaughan
"Why is a jeep here...?" Amaya asked allowed and was about to go check it out, but stopped once Chubbs said they would come back and look at it. "Alright, it shouldn't be going anywhere anyway."

Her green eyes locked onto it as they passed, though the iguana stayed close to him. The warmth that generated off his body and just the overall feeling of having someone watch over her was very comforting indeed... even when they were covered in blood.

Amaya's large feet and claws dug into the mud of the pathway, sometimes slipping but never causing her to fall. They were made for climbing trees, not wadding through mud. They also left her very large, hand-like footprints as they walked.

Both of them continued to walk closer and closer to the labs, mostly in silence. The girl had seemed to be a lot quieter after her third transformation, though it could just easily be taken as fright. The labs were a scary thing, and so was Moreau. Punishing everyone for the deeds of one person? Was he insane?

... Well, she supposed that was the case. But still!

"What's that?" Amaya inquired again, squinting and then jogging slowly towards a second jeep. "Oh god! Chubbs!" Careful with the knife, she went over to it and peeked inside. What if someone was hurt?!

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs noticed the second jeep and looked back behind him at the distance between the two of them, could they have nearlly crashed? He followed Amaya over to it, looking inside and sniffed around. If anyone was injured, Chubbs couldn't tell as his own sodden fur overided his smell.

Chubbs went snooping around to see if he would be lucky enough to find a gun or a phone, something that would get him off this place. He looked up when Amaya showed concern for the driver. Chubbs didn't, only Lab techs drive jeeps and they all deserve to rot.

" Recon they'd be fine hun, todays standards of car safety is pretty good, and with an air bag? well the worse they get it like whiplash and air bag burn."

Chubbs rememberd a C.S.I. episode where they found the guy who was driving a car in a hit and run cuz his air bag went off and it left a big mark on his face.

" Least, that's what I saw on C.S.I. "

Amaya Vaughan
"Okay..." The lizard nodded once she realized no one was inside. After giving the vehicle a quick once-over she looked back at Chubbs. "We should come back and look closer later and tell the staff about this too."

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs nodded and pointed to the keys, just noticing them sitting in the ignition.

"We should give it a go when we get back, or on the other one, see if we don't have to walk"

Chubbs walked back around to Amaya and nestled her into him as he lead her towards the labs he could see in the distance.

Amaya Vaughan
"Yeah, think that key might work in the other jeep too? This one looks beat up." Amaya said as she walked close to her companion.

Once again the silence stretched on as they got closer and closer to the labs. Her paced slowed a bit and she seemed to sort of hide behind the lumbering man with the knife still placed gently in her palms.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs held Amaya protectively, and he too slowed down. He thought a blood soak killing machine may not look like an innocent thing to anyone that could have been trigger happy.

Island of Moreau
There were two posted guards by the electrified gate that quickly approached them as they got close. Both were in tan fatigues and sported a rifle.

"That's close enough," they said, looking a bit uneasy at the blood-covered hulking ...thing.. that was approaching. "What do you want?"

Amaya Vaughan
The teen literally hid behind him when they were both stopped a few feet from the gates. Her tail spasmed nervously and only her head showed, keeping her bare, scaley chest hidden for now. Her mind screamed at her to run. She was walking headfirst into a predator's territory.

Her mouth opened and trembled before she stepped out on shakey legs, holding the covered weapon in her palms. "I-... I found this." She almost looked like she was going to turn tail and run.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs offered to take the knife from Amaya and then usher her back behind him. To be honest, he felt better with her behind him too. He unfolded the cloth and held it out on his palm.

" Amaya spotted this by a duples, we don't know how it got there and we decided to bring it here, incase it had something to do with what happened, you know, to the person?"

Chubbs offered it out to the gun ponting guards, looking between them, he knew he could mow them down, real fast if need be.

" And ah... about the blood on me... listen, I went to sleep, and woke up in the jungle covered in this s**t. I wanted to see what blood it was, cuz I dunno. If you guys can test it, go ahead, and if it ends up being that persons? then guess ya found ya guy huh"

Island of Moreau
The guards looked between each other uneasily. One of them pulled the radio from his belt and called into the labs asking for a forensic team. The other pulled a rag from his back pocket and took the knife carefully.

A few minutes later, a few technitions in lab coats came out with some kits and baggies. They looked rather nervous as they approached the gate.

"We can unelectrify the gate," one in glasses told the guards, "But Moreau isn't allowing any of us out there right now. "

The guard tucked his radio away. "Thats crazy! I don't know how the ******** to collect evidence!"

"I can coach you through it... here, take this," Glasses said, passing a kit through the gate.

"Doc's off his rockers," the guard mumbeled, looking oddly at the grey box. "He can't leave us out here forever!"

"Yeah, well," the tech mumbeled under his breath. "If Lockheart doesn't make it, I wouldn't be surprised. Now look in there and grab the tweasers, you're going to have to pluck some hairs off ..." the guard swallowed and cast a nervous glance at the big furry one. "... that subject right there."

"I ain't touching that deranged Teddybear," guard growled.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya allowed him to take it, quickly skittering back behind him where it was a little safer. Though at his last statement she grabbed his free, clawed hand. It wasn't him. It wasn't him.

Though as the guards looked almost as frightened as she did... she blinked. Weren't these people supposed to be fearless and evil?

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs raised a brow at the goings on of the staff of the island, Moreau was a paranoid man it seemed. He eyed over the lab techs and the guard that was talking to him. He held Amaya hand and ran his thumb over her hand, something he remembered he use to do to calm her down. His other hand flexed back and forth slightly, it really wanted to swing. Chubbs frowned at the comment about his looks and his lip curled.

" Hey, Polly Prissy Pants, do ya job and come get this"

With that, Chubbs grabbed a chunk of blooded fur on his stomach and ripped it out with a grunt and a wince, holding it out to the guard.

Island of Moreau
"Watch your lips, freak," the guard sneared. He approached then stopped as Chubbs yanked out the fur. Surprised, he looked back to the lab technition.

"Go go! Get it in the collection baggy!"

The guard hesitated for a moment before taking a few more steps forward, opening the plastic collection bag.

Amaya Vaughan
The reptile held his clawed hand. Despite that fact that her's was much bigger then his own it was still comforting. She watched in silence as he ripped a patch of fur from his own torso.

"Chubbs!" She winced at the pain it probably caused, though was thankful she no longer had to worry about that in the back of her mind.

Chubbs MacKraken
It hurt, it stang like the blazes, but it wasn't all to show the guard up as a wuss. Chubbs was still worried he might be the one that did it, and if the guard had of plucked him the wrong way, Chubbs might have torn his face off out of reflex. Chubbs placed the tuff of his own fur into the offered bag and then took a biiiiiig sniff at the guards direction. Scents wafted in through his nose, and there was the guards among them. Chubbs looked down and said quietly to the guard in front of him.

" I'll remember you always"

Chubbs grinned, showing his set of nasty teeth then looked to the group of lab nerds and the other guard and yelled out to them

" Hey ye, on the way up, there was a couple jeeps on the road, ones like bogged out and the other's smacked into a tree, just thought ya should know"

Island of Moreau
"Yeah, we're aware," said one of the other guards, for the one Chubbs sniffed looked like he might have just wet himself. Chubbs' nose would tell him he hadn't, but his fear would be thick in the air.

"Get the hell out of here!" The guard finally coughed out, turning to give the baggie to the lab tech.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya winced at the yell, but otherwise said nothing and clung to the man's furry arm.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs smirked at the guard walking away from him. If he wanted to be a jerk then Chubbs would make him think twice before opening his mouth again. Turning around, he wrapped his arm around Amaya while he held her hand with the other.

" Lets hope they found out what they need to know, sorry I scared ya hun, it's okay we can go home now"

He leaned down and kissed her on the top of her head with a smile.

" Lets get back and get you and me in a shower"

Chubbs blinked and then blushed and chuckled a little.

" Well.. er .. ya know what I mean"

Amaya Vaughan
The green iguana smiled and nodded, walking silently as they headed back towards their duplexes and the two broken down jeeps. Only when she knew she was earshot out of the labs did she sigh and her shoulders slump.

Out of the predator's territory. It was safe now.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs wanted to hear her laugh again, and he smiled to himself. Not letting go of her hand but taking his arm off of her he took a step back, ducked low and popped his head under Amaya's tail and legs. Straightening back up, he sat her up on his shoulders with a chuckle

" Chubbs express, next stop, warm showers"

Amaya Vaughan
"Hm?" Amaya blinked as he shifted, then shot her eyes wide open as she was lifted into the air. "AH!" But before she could really protest, she was sitting on Chubbs' shoulders.

It took her a moment to realize what had happened, though when she did she smiled and giggled. Leaning down, she rested her head ontop of his like she had done to her father she was was little. Her long tail dropped from where it had caught on his shoulder and swayed behind her as she was carried, absently brushing his back from side to side involuntarily.

Getting A Rest

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs slid Amaya down gently as he reached his door and opened it up, allowing her to go inside. He flicked the light on in the dank empty home and thought to himself that he must casth up with Joliette where ever she maybe. He brought her inside and looked through some of the drawers and grabbed up a shirt and a pair of shorts.

" Here, these are Joliette's, I'm sure she wont mind ya using them, they should fit okay. There's some towles and soap in the bathroom to get yaself cleaned up with"

Amaya Vaughan
"Okay." Amaya would have to be sure to return them after all of this was over... right now though, she really didn't want to be alone even if it was just to run and shower the blood and dirt off of herself.

Wiping her large hands off on her skirt, she took the offered clothing. and set it down. "You can go first, you need it more then I do. I'll wait out here." She smiled.

Chubbs MacKraken
" Ya sure? I mean, I know I'm mucky... oh okays.. I'll be quick though"

Chubbs went and grabbed another pair of black shorts and made his way into the bathroom, trying to whistle but finding it difficult to. he paused at the door and peeked his head out.

" There's some drinks in the lil fridge, and if ya get worried or scared, I don't mind if ya want to sit in here. I mean, like what haven't we seen yet?"

He chuckled and started up some hot water then made it warm, stripping off his shorts, he began to sing

" It's all the same, only the names will change, everyday it seems we're wasting away, another place where the faces are so cold, I'd drive all night just to get back home. oooo I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I riiiiiide
I'm waaaaanted dead or aliiiive. Wanted dead or alive"

Chubbs jumped into the shower and grabbed the shampoo bottle, he used that for soap these days.

Amaya Vaughan
The iguana nodded and smiled at him as she watched him go into the bathroom. She listened to him for awhile as he bathed and even though he was right there she still felt rather... open for attack. The thought that some mad killer might be around lurking just outside his door sent a shiver up her spine.

So while he was occupied she walked over and sat on the floor just by the bathroom doorway. That way if someone barged in she would have enough time to scramble into the bathroom and get him.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs continued to sing and wash himself down. When he was done he grabbed the towel to wipe the shampoo out of his eyes. That's basically what the towel was only used for, beacuse with the shower door closed, Chubbs shook like crazy, flicking the water off of him. All puffy and damp, he stepped out of the shower and offered it to Amaya and slipped his shorts on.

" All yours hun, I'll just stay outside the door if ya like?"

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya's tail gave a nervous twitch as he stepped out of the bathroom doorway. "Okay, thanks." Grabbing the towel and her clothes, she headed into the bathroom and started to strip down, but paused to peek out at him.

"You won't go anywhere, right?" She still looked pretty shaken up. Especially now that she was going to be in the shower where she couldn't hear anything or have a quick escape route.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs blotted himself with a towel as he was outside the door, he turned to look at her and smiled. It wasn't the greatest of smiles, smiling for him now meant baring ugly teeth.

"Go jump in the shower, I'll sit in the doorway facing out, so you can see me. I'm not going anywhere sunshine"

With that he waited till she got in and turned back around and sat down, humming the song he had been singing.

Amaya Vaughan
The girl smiled and then turned. It took her longer to get undressed since she had to unsaften her belt and the slide her skirt and panties off without ripping them with her claws. Once finished that she climbed into the shower and shut the shower door.

Unlike Chubbs, she did all her washing sitting down with the shower head on. She had learned early that standing with her slippery, long feet were not suited to standing on such a wet surface. So she sat and scrubbed off her toes and the blood she had gotten from Chubbs. Amaya also only removed her necklace to wash it free of dirt before putting it back on.

Once she was finished the shower was turned off and the lizard dried herself as best she could with the towel and her claws. Her long tail gave a few loud "SMAT"s on the wet tub floor before she stood and slowly got dressed in the clothing borrowed.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs stood up as she stepped out of the shower, he only went around the corner to grab a plastic bag, but he kept his hand on the doorframe. Coming back and seeing her dressed, he picked up her clothes on the floor and put them in the bag, and tied them up.

" So ya feel better now?"

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya nodded and took the bag with a meak "thanks".

"Still kinda scared though... what if whoever did that is still out there? Who could it have been?" She wondered allowed.

The teen was a little big for Joliette's clothes, being as she was shorter and thinner and... well, had more of a figure. It also didn't help that she had to wear the shorts low, due to the base of her tail. But ah well. Better then nothing.

Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs looked at the door and considere the possiblities, who had ravaged the lab tech? He understoon Amaya was scared, she'd been chased by a rabid Zach. But the lab techs deserve what they got, this wasn't some cold blooded act of violence, it was an act out of anger, surely.

Chubbs patted her shoulder gently and smiled again, in his odd way.

" Ya han stay here if ya like, I'm just gonna grab a kip, bit tuckered out from this whole thing."

Chubbs waddled over to the bed and cralled up onto it and flopped down on his pillow with a sigh.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya wasn't as confident that the staff deserved what they got. The way she saw it was that you left them alone, like some higher power or a puppet master. When you left them alone, they left you alone... and when you messed with them, they repaid the price 100-fold. Though all of this was in her mind only and not spoken allowed.

"Alright." The reptile watched him flop on the bed and after a few moments of sitting on the edge, she joined him.

Crawling up, her spiney back nuzzled closed to him and she curled up, her tail curling around her as best it could. Even though she was still scared and on edge, she quickly flitted to sleep. Crying really wore one out.

Helping a Friend
(Amaya is contacted by Alec after his first change)

Alec Derring
Hours later he stirred, head tiredly slumped forwards, eyes half-closed. He was more numb to the transformation by then but the anxiety was still there. So many thoughts clouded his mind, most foolishly concerned what he thought others would think of him. Since when did he start caring about that?

Finally Alec gathered up his courage and shifted his legs around to half-crawl, half-walk towards the door of his duplex. He wasn't even dressed for outside, but he had no intention of leaving his room. Instead he wandered towards the intercom system, staring at it confusedly before punching in the number '22'.

Amaya Vaughan
After leaving a note for Chubbs, Amaya had made her way out to the cafeteria and then once she had her fill and an armload of food to take back and store in her mini-fridge, headed back to her duplex.

She put all the food away and then changed out of the borrowed clothing from Joliette, putting on her own pair of shorts and a halter top. Though as she started to fold the clothes there was a crackle on her intercom. The iguana froze and looked over at the device by her door. Hesitating a moment, she walked over and pushed the button down to talk back.

"H-Hello?" Oh god, what did the staff want now?

Alec Derring
Alec quivered as he stood by the wall, almost considering cutting the line and returning to his seat in the corner of his room though when he heard the voice on the other end answer, he somehow willed himself to respond. "'el.." He cleared his throat, realizing how hoarse it was since he hadn't spoken in awhile. "'ello?

Why had he called Amaya? Why not. In his mind, she seemed to be the only person that could help him right now.

Amaya Vaughan
Alec? Oh thank god. From the other end there was a relived sigh. "Alec? God, I thought you were one of the staff or something." Though Amaya's relife was short-lived. "What's up? Is something wrong?" He sounded pretty nervous... or scared. Oh god, what if the killer had done something?! Or if he had seen something!? Shitshitshit.

Though none of this was spoken aloud as she waited for him to tell her what was really going on.

Alec Derring
Alec couldn't help but smile to himself, finding the situation almost deleriously comical. "Ye... Nuh... 'am 'kay." His voice was choppy and he disdainfully wiped saliva from his chin as he tried to form the words he wanted to say. The godamn knives in his jaws were really bad for enunciating.

After a moment silence he realized how stupid this must all be sounding to the girl on the other end. "Uh ye... c'n ye.... c'n ye come oveh?" He felt so stupid. So incredibly embarassed. "'ere?"

Amaya Vaughan
God he sounded horrible. The girl replied without hesitation. "Sure, is there anything in particular you need me to bring over?" There were multiple possibilies as to why he could have been calling her over, scared as he sounded. Though ironically, him changing was one of the last things on her mind with everything else that had been going on the past couple days.

Alec Derring
He hadn't expected the offer she had given along with such a quick reply, and automatically got excited. "Fook ye!" He pressed nearer to the intercom. "Ah, ye go' some food? PLEEEASE say ye be a beor n' bring me foods?" He didn't even think twice about how insistant he was being.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya's brow rose at such an excited response, her tail twitching slightly. Though she couldn't help but laugh a little. "No problem. I'll run to the cafeteria and then right to your duplex. Stay there, I'll be there in a couple of minutes."

The lizard took her clawed finger off the intercom and reached back, snatching the bag she had used to carry food earlier off her bed before speeding out the door.

Alec Derring
His mouth was almost watering at the thought as he released the button on the intercom, not even caring that he was still in his boxers and his room was an absolute disaster area. The idea that someone was coming over quickly sank in, and the teen quickly sobered. How would she react? He hadn't even taken a good look at himself yet.

Slowly he turned so as not to unsteady himself, lumbering over to the bathroom and grabbing a shirt from a clothing pile as he passed. He still found it very difficult to move, the 'bark-like' crusted around the flexible areas of his body and hindered him very much. Bracing himself on the sink rim, he slowly glanced up to face himself in the mirror.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya quickly ran back into the cafeteria, not minding if anyone else was around since at the moment, it didn't concern her. But what did teenage guys eat?

... Easy enough. She grabbed a bag of chips, a couple cans of soda, and a few slices of pizza that were wrapped up and placed in her bag. The teen then spun around and, almost slipping on her scaley feet, ran back out the door. The sooner she got to him the better.

Running the entire way, Amaya finally made it to just outside his duplex. For a moment she stood, catching her breath before walking up and knocking on the door. "Alec, it's me."

Alec Derring
Alec's head snapped around at the sound of the knock, having been poking at his new razored teeth and his flattened nose. He looked so different, like he was dressed for Halloween.

"Com'n." He began to call out but his voice fell to normal speach levels on account of how tired he was. The door unlocked and opened a crack, the punk teen with his messed up hair and grey eyes staring meekly from behind the barrier. "'ey."

Amaya Vaughan
The reptile blinked, noticing the change in his facial structure and the grey on his face. Though the messed mohawk was honestly the first thing she noticed. Like always, she didn't make a big deal out of it even though her expression turned more concerned and kind, her voice lower and more comforting.

"Hey, brought you food. Pizza and soda and stuff." Amaya smiled and held up the bag to him, waiting to be allowed inside.

Alec Derring
Alec still half-hid himself behind the doorway, attempting to fight off the urge to snatch the food and ditch Amaya but a part of him knew he'd never have the heart. He needed the comfort as much as the snack. "Yer a doll." He sighed and opened the door, shamefully staring at the ground. He didn't look THAT bad... right?

Amaya Vaughan
The green iguana gave him a quick once-over with her equally green eyes before walking in with the same concerned smile. She set the bag of food down on the bed for him. "So does it still hurt or anything? I think all the duplexes have tylenol in the bathroom cupboard."

Otherwise, she mentioned nothing of his odd apperance. What was grey and brown with texture like that?

Alec Derring
Alec grimaced as he shut the door behind her, slightly regretting his bluntness to delve right into the subject at hand. What else was she supposed to talk about, anyways? His changes were minor but obvious to plain sight, moreso his teeth that he made efforts to keep his mouth shut most of the time and speech to a minimum. "Am 'kay, thanksh." The last word made his spit again and he grabbed for a bandanna laying on a chair in frustration to cover his mouth before he continued. With a semi-scowl on his face, he sat down on the bed and motioned for her to make herself comfortable. He couldn't help but grapple for the food in less than a minute afterwards.

"'s i' bad?" He mumbled as he attempted to stuff a piece of pizza into his mouth, wincing at the sensitivity of his still-tender gums. He also had trouble chewing.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya shook her head. "No." And that was in all honesty. He looked a little different but otherwise was still Alec. Green eyes watched him for a moment, concerned but otherwise not speaking any more about the change. She knew how much of a tender subject it was.

Pulling up a nearby chair, the girl sat a couple feet away from him and changed the topic. "You heard that announcment, right?"

Alec Derring
Alec concentrated on his pizza, frustrated by his lack of chewing abilities as he picked apart the slive into smaller chunks to swallow almost whole. "Ye." He nodded, crosses his legs on the mattress with much effort. With more movement, the brownish substance almost became more flexible. "Wha' d'ye think o' it?" He glanced up at Amaya but couldn't hold her gaze for too long. She looked really worried. "A' keep watchin ou' f'meself, outsi'" Motioning with a spare hand to the windows of his room, he continued. "bu' a joost keep meetin' mo' confused peoples..."

Amaya Vaughan
"I dunno what I think..." Amaya trailed off, setting her chin in one of her large palms, clawed fingers curling inwards. She used the back to prop up her elbow since she was sitting on the chair backwards... her tail wouldn't allow it any other way.

"I found a knife by Rex's duplex and a few others. A big bloody one... I went with Chubbs and took it up to the labs. I really hope they can like... get fingerprints off it or something. I just want this to be over." The lizard picked at the back of the chair with her free hand and looked down at the floor. "I mean, Moreau will do s**t worse then the lockout. He'll throw us all in cages or something if it's not figured out..."

Alec Derring
Alec stopped eating altogether, staring wide-eyed at Amaya like a kicked puppy. "Wuh?" He couldn't remember all of Antony's explaination of the lockout, only catching the idea of being shoved into a cage against his will. He didn't even care about this Aubrey girl, he hadno idea what was going on or who was responsible he'd still be punished like a criminal?

"He can' do tha', can he?" The punk teen seemed to pale completely though his stomach told him to cut the crap and continue eating. The fact that he hadn't cleaned off the little cut to his finger didn't help. "Wha' are we g'na do? C'n we hide? Roon?" He was clearly becoming more antsy as ideas filled his impressionable mind.

Amaya Vaughan
Oh. ******** wonderful job that was at trying to comfort someone! Amaya growled inwardly at herself as she stumbled on her words, trying to calm him down. "Don't worry! It'll be okay, they'll find prints on the knife and even then if they don't the cameras will catch it!" She flailed her big hands in a "forget I said anything" gesture, but it sort of died halfway and she ******** wonderful job I do at comforting people. Sorry... I just got carried away." The teen sighed. "Try not to worry about it. Just worry about taking care of yourself... It'll work itself out."

Alec Derring
Alec starded to nervously laugh, also waving a hand to dismiss any idea that Amaya had indeed upset him. "Ahhh 'am fine." He smirked and slugged down the contents of a soda, placing the empty can to the side of him. "Could b'worse?" He tried to grin, not noticing how freaky he probably looked.

"So..." He began tentatively, hiding any upset he felt towards his obvious forced transformation. "Ye think 'am turnin in'teh a din'eh'saur?" Unsure of how well he was containing his emotions, he tried to make the best of the situation. Maybe together they could figure out what he was turning into beforehand, so he could mentally prepare himself for the future.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya nodded. "Could always be a lot worse."

Though at the question of what he was turning into she blinked, having not expected it. "Well..." She looked him up and down, her eyes locking onto the fins by his ankles then trailing back up at his bark covered knees. The reptile then remembered his razor sharp teeth. But what had skin like that?

"A fish with really sharp teeth? Or a shark?" It was the best she could come up with, strange bark-skin aside. But... wait. If he was turning into a fish like Awen then would he be trapped to water once it was all over? Amaya felt like someone had just stabbed her chest and twisted the blade, though she didn't dare say that aloud... he didn't need to know yet. And it might not even work that way.

Alec Derring
Alec blissfully fantasized about Jaws movies and Discovery channel's Shark Week, not even considering the idea of being forced to dwell in a tank forever. Even the implications of his horrible nightmare the night before didn't strike him as anything forboding. "Cooool..." He grinned wide, seeing as he hadn't received a negative reaction to the expression the last time he tried it. "Th'n a'd have scales like ye." He laughed, an attempt to lighten the mood. Maybe now that they were both changing she'd feel a little better about herself.

Amaya Vaughan
The iguana smiled, laughing a little. Hopefully he wouldn't loose what little of his hair he had left since he was a fish... Awen seemed to be keeping her's. "Yeah, I don't think many others around here have gotten scales. Three that I know of." Did Awen have scales? Didn't seem like it. "And your the first guy." She smirked, glad that he was seeing the positive of it.

Alec Derring
"Hey HEY!" The teen started to laugh more, waggling his eyebrows suggestively about the comments of aquatic islanders' genders. He left it that, trying not to take the joke any further as it just didn't feel appropriate around Amaya.

After he finished off the last of the food she brought, he patted his stomach and relaxed a bit, the urgency to eat finally fading away. "Aye... thanks. Yanno." He motioned to the remnants of pizza crust in a very informal appreciation.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya laughed again, getting his implications even with just the eyebrow waggle. She would have blushed a little if she was capable.

As her laugher died down, she shook her head. "It was no problem, glad I could help. Feeling better now I take it?"

Alec Derring
Alec sighed and stared down at the odd fins protruding from his heels, flicking them with a finger once and awhile. "Ye. 'a think so." Although he felt he had a lot more issues to deal with after this conversation, he definetly wasn't borderline paranoid-psychotic anymore.

Amaya Vaughan
The girl smiled. "Good." She watched him flick his fins idly for a moment. "Oh, and there are books in the entertainment room about a lot of animals. I bet if you look hard enough you can find a couple ideas without having to ask the staff. That's what I did... well, up until I changed for the second time. Then it was a dead giveaway." She rested her chin on the back of the chair, watching him.

Alec Derring
"Oh?" He didn't even think of looking through the books in the entertainment room although he clearly remembering seeing a few about entire animal species and the like. It was just like him to dismiss written knowledge as being less than important. "A'll hafta do tha'." He nodded, glad she suggested it. He wouldn't have thought of it himself.

As he shifted his weight, a large yawn escaped from his mouth indicative of his exhaustion. "Gah." He groaned and rubbed the patches on bark on his elbow. "'A slept like shite las' nigh'."

Amaya Vaughan
"Yeah, before... it happens normally you feel really feverish and have nightmares. Least that's how it worked for me." Amaya winced a little, recalling the horrible dreams she had of her parents and the others on the island.

"Guess I should get out of your hair and let you sleep though." The lizard stood and put the chair back where she had found it before grabbing the bag she had brought the food in. "Try and sleep, don't worry about this whole thing it'll blow over itself." Or at least she hoped. Her long fingers unloaded the few things that Alec hadn't eaten and set them on the bedside table for him.

"Just keep your door locked and if you need anything else, go ahead and call me on the intercom okay?" Amaya's green eyes looked down at him, the same concern as before evident in her eyes.

Alec Derring
The punk teen nodded obediently like a child, getting up to follow Amaya around the room as much as his legs would allow as she readied herself to leave. He didn't want to be left alone but at the same time he wanted his room vacated so he could just lie in bed in silence. The contradicting emotions bothered him though he tried to clear his head to make the better choice. "E'kay, a'll see ye 'round." He nodded in an attempt to look nonchallant.

Amaya Vaughan
The teen smiled and went to the door, but she hesitated a moment and turned around, hugging Alec gently. Though before he could either back away or return it, she let go. "I'm sorry that you have to be here... but try and get some sleep and rest. I'll see you around."

With one last careing smile, Amaya opened the door and dissapeared behind it.

Alec Derring
Alec had still been ambling about the room as she got to the door but was surprised when the lizard girl abruptly hugged him. Before his brain could even register it she was gone. He blinked and stared awkwardly at the door, shrugging off the gesture as he made to return to his dishevelled bed. Before he could make the trek however, something made him peer out the window of his duplex and watch her leave until her figure disappeared from view.

Lets Play I'll Never...
(Amaya finally confesses to Emerwyn what has had her so depressed)

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya had spent most of her day in the jungle reading. She didn't read often, but lately she had been... thinking too much. That was a nice way to put it. It was nice to just shove one's nose into a book and forget what was happening while sitting in a nice, high tree.

But she could tell it was somewhere passed noon, and her stomach was starting to rumble.

So she jumped from her tree and started out of the jungle, arriving at the edge a couple moments later. Green eyes didn't look to see if anyone was around. Normally she would just walk passed them anyway... it kept people from asking questions.

Emerwyn
Emerwyn listened politely to Nita's story. Vaguely, she wondered how old the girl was. She seemed younger now than she had before.

Her interest was piqued, however, when she brought up those buildings.
"More duplexes, maybe... He's running out of room, and he doesn't seem ready to stop pulling in victims..."

Emerwyn's attention was pulled away by a disturbance in the green of the jungle. Part of the green was moving out of synch. She began to move towards it, after deciding it was alive.

Nita MacNeal
Nita continued, hoping she wasn't babbling too much. "Of course, we were in 2nd grade at the time. I guess it's a bit silly, but it was fun to figure out back then."

The red-head nodded, eyeing the buildings speculatively. "I don't think there's really been anyone new since I got here, but there are still empty duplexes. Makes me wonder how many more people he could possibly want or need here." She shrugged, barely noticing their change in direction.

Amaya Vaughan
When the green iguana noticed someone coming towards her out of the corner of her eye she looked at them with equally green eyes and stopped. Her tongue flickered as she watched the approaching deer woman... it was Emerwyn, though she had changed a lot and looked a lot more graceful.

... She haden't seen her since her last change though. Amaya didn't even look like herself anymore. The only thing that stayed the same was her eyes and the pendent around her neck. Frowning, she looked away to the side.

Emerwyn
"Maybe part of some sick, new experiment of his..." Emerwyn mumbled, focus turned now away from Moreau's expansion.

"Hello!" Emerwyn called softly ahead of them, at the creature who had already noticed them. It was someone she knew...
She stopped at the edge of the jungle, where the lizard woman was.
Searchingly, Emerwyn moved around the girl as she dodged, to look into her eyes. So big, so green... The girl was so full of energy, but was so self-concious.
She had spoken to her a long time ago, in the woods. That was when she first met Ian. None of them had changed by that point.
"Amaya. It is good to see you again."

Nita MacNeal
"Probably," Nita agreed, finally noticing the lizard-girl. Camouflage did seem to work pretty well after all. Or maybe Nita was just that unobservant.

"Oh, hi Amaya," she said with a smile. It had been a while since she had seen Amaya in the cafeteria with Alec; before her change. At least Nita was still easily recognizable. She had never known Amaya looking any other way to know how drastic the younger girl's transformation was.

Amaya Vaughan
She recognized her?

That was comforting... The girl gave a smile and glanced back up at her. "Nice to see you again too, Emerwyn."

Amaya offered a smile to Nita as well. It looked like she had changed too, though she didn't mention it. No need in pointing out the obvious. She shifted the bag over her shoulder that contained her book and a couple other things like her CD player. "How have... you two been?" She asked, perposfully dragging the conversation away from herself.

Emerwyn
Emerwyn smiled. Some things about her certainly had not changed. It was hard to decide just how that made her feel.

"I've been feeling alright... as good as one can feel when they're first choice on a menu." She laughed and shook her head at this. The best way to fight her fear was to laugh at it... right?

Nita MacNeal
"I've been alright, reading a lot, but I guess that's pretty normal of me." Nita laughed slightly at Emerwyn's jest, not entirely sure if she could be so apparently calm about something like that. At least not so soon after it happened.

Her ears twitched periodically, on the alert for anything dangerous. Even though she knew Amaya was harmless, it was vaguely disconcerting to know she hadn't even noticed the girl until she was right in front of her.

"And yourself?" she asked.

Amaya Vaughan
The reptile gave a slightly forced laugh and a nod to the taller deer woman. "I know how that feels." She shuddered a little, recalling just days ago that Zack had lunged at her with that... look in his eyes.

But Chubbs had saved her. And she was okay now. ... Right?

"I've been... fine, I guess. As good as it can get." She gave another small, sad smile as her long tail curled around her finger-like toes.

Emerwyn
She wasn't alone. It made sense. After all, someone had been attacked, and they hadn't been as lucky as Emerwyn or Amaya had been.
She wasn't even a subject. She was someone Moreau obviously cared about. A grim smile played in Emerwyn's mind that his plans could backfire so.

"Then, that's wonderful," Emerwyn said in response to Amaya's report on how she felt.
She was trying to be optimistic. Someone had to do it for Amaya, since she was not going to do it for herself.
"Because, I've found that the best it can be is really rather pleasant."

Nita MacNeal
Nita nodded. She hoped those attacks would stop, although she wasn't particularly optimistic. Especially since Emerwyn had implied how strong those insticts could get.

Before she could say anything, her stomach gurgled loudly and obviously. Nita grinned and poked at her stomach, feigning annoyance. "Hey, I'm sorry to dash off like this, but I think I can feel my blood-sugar dropping as I stand here." It was obviously an exaggeration, but now that her stomach had made its needs known, it wasn't about to stay quiet.

Amaya Vaughan
Amaya nodded. "I have had nice moments. Lately it's just been a little hard though..." Oh, don't start on a rant now. It's not your place to complain. She scolded herself mentally and bottled her depression back where it belonged.

"Oh, alright. I'll see ya around Nita." She gave her a goodbye head-bob without even noticing it.

Emerwyn
Emerwyn turned to Nita before continuing the conversation.
"Goodbye, Nita. It's always good to see you!"
~~~
"Would you like to talk about it? I believe I have a free afternoon. I find myself well fed today, so no stomach of mine shall tear me away." She looked at Amaya encouragingly. Emerwyn knew all too well that it was not healthy to keep emotions inside. As long as there was a friend to talk to - talk.
Nita MacNeal
"I'm sure I'll see you both around before too long," Nita said, waving at both women. Her stomach complaining again, the red panda-girl veered away from the jungle on the path that would take her to the cafeteria, and eventually back to her duplex.
Amaya Vaughan
"Uhh... well..." The teen rubber her arm. "I don't want to seem like I'm complaining. It's not like I really have the right to. Almost everyone else has a lot more to be sad about then I do..." She trailed off, looking down at the ground again.
Emerwyn
Emerwyn stepped forward and placed a hoofed hand on Amaya's shoulder.
"No, not at all," she said, her voice soft and sweet. "Each one of us has suffered, and it is no one's right to compare.
Consider me your friendly tree that you can confide in. You can say whatever you want, and I shall answer only when you wish it, or when the wind prompts me to speak."
Amaya Vaughan
Amaya looked at the hoof on her shoulder and then up at the woman's eyes behind her heavy brow. With a sigh her shoulders slumped. "Alright..." Slowly she sank down, sitting on the ground and hugged her legs to her chest. Her long tail curled around herself.
"I'm... not sure where to start..." There was a lot on her mind. She didn't think there had been one time while on the island where she poured out the thoughts she had in her mind to anyone.
Emerwyn
Emerwyn sat down beside her, her long legs tucking in comfortably beneath her.
"Just close your eyes. Take your time."
Emerwyn was comfortable here. She was perfectly content to sit, and talk with a friend. It was a strange sort of lapse in time, talking to Amaya again. How had she gone so long without seeing the girl?
Amaya Vaughan
The lizard took a breath and did just that. Closing her eyes for a moment, she slowly reopened them. Here we go...
"I had nothing on the mainland. My family died when I was younger. I didn't have many close friends either. So I never thought, and still think, that I have no right to complain. Even the animal I was given isn't the... worst." It was bad, but wasn't as bad as a snake or a fish.
"And I found a family here. An odd one anyway. I see almost everyone on this island as part of a family. Ambrose and Chubbs are like big brother's. Greer is like my mother. Hargun is like my sister... But..." She paused.
Emerwyn
The beginning. A fitting place to start, indeed.
She lost her family. Emerwyn couldn't imagine the pain of that, being an only child, and having parents who were as good as robots.
She held on interjecting just yet. There was no need.
But we're trapped on an island, being forced to undergo freakish torture, and being subjected to all sorts of mental torment.
But, Emerwyn did not fill in this blank for Amaya.
She only remained silent, and laid her hand on Amaya's. Her eyes told her it was alright. Anything she had to say, Emerwyn would listen.
Amaya Vaughan
Amaya looked down at the hand over her own. So different yet still so much smaller then her own. "But..."
Another pause, though shorter this time. "... I still feel like I'm alone. And I don't know why." She hugged herself tighter.
Emerwyn
It was now time to speak. Emerwyn closed her own eyes, and breathed deep. She was not completely certain what she should say. This was not something she was good at. And anything she did say came out unclear and cryptic.
"Though we are all subject to this one evil, we are all affected differently," she began, slowly. "As sad as it may seem, we are indeed alone in our suffering.
But, that is only one perspective.
We don't have to be alone. Standing together with those whom we care about. You have friends here. They are with you.
I suppose, you just need to realize it for yourself."
Amaya Vaughan
"But I do, really." The iguana looked back over at Emer, her expression still sad. "I know were all together. I think that's the only thing that keeps me from going insane... and when I'm with my friends I feel safe and protected. Like things are normal. But... I..."
She stopped herself, not wanting to say it.
Emerwyn
Emerwyn felt bad for putting Amaya on the spot like this.
"You don't have to, if you don't want to.
However, consider that you may feel better, talking about it."
The tree was whispering too much.
Amaya Vaughan
Amaya rubbed the back of her neck subconciously. "I..."
Closing her eyes, she burried her head into her knees and spoke from them. Even when her voice was muffled, Emerwyn would probably make out what she said with ears like hers.
"I've never had a boyfriend. Or anything. And now I never will..."
God. What a stupid reason for being depressed.
Emerwyn
Emerwyn's heart very nearly broke.
She was so young. So young.
The precious rare anger that was ever awoken in Emerwyn rekindled itself, looking at Amaya's poor form.
Here she was, not yet twenty years old, confined to a life imprisonment she did not deserve. Doomed to never know love.
They would not all be as 'lucky' as Emerwyn had been.
She crawled closer to her, and put her arms over her, holding her close.
"I will not pretend to understand what you are going through. And I will not feed you lies that it is fair, or that it will all be okay."
It seemed rather lame, but what could she say?
"Just know that it is not something to be ashamed of, what you are feeling. You have every right to feel sad. Love is something no one should have to miss."
Amaya Vaughan
Only a few seconds after Enerwyn embraced her, the paper thin will she had snapped once more. The girl seemed to cry more on this hellhole then she ever had. Save for when her family members had passed on and left her alone.
Small sobs escaped her hidden face, her shoulders shaking and her tail curling around her as best it could tightly to form a scaley ball. Though she still managed to continue through her sobs.
"All I wanted... was to get out of school. Get a job. Get married. Have kids and die an old woman... Nothing else. Nothing more." Her voice squeaked as she sobbed again.
"Now look... at me..." Amaya sobbed. "I don't even look like a girl anymore and it's... only going to get worse. I don't even have hair."
Emerwyn
Emerwyn just held her, and instinctively rocked her back and forth, like and infant.
There was no response for Amaya. She did not need one. Emerwyn just closed her eyes, and listened. And she hummed. Hummed softly, a soothing melody beneath the sobs.
Amaya Vaughan
The lizard sobbed for what seemed like a long time, though to her time may have crawled on or slowed down... she didn't know. But the pang in her stomach only grew as she remembered she was on her way to get food when all this started. So much for asking questions, eh?
Though eventually she calmed down and stopped sobbing. Amaya's head rose and her chin rested on her knees to stare ahead. Her face was sticky with tears and her eyes would have been bloodshot if the whites could be seen passed the green.
"Sorry... I cry too much."
Emerwyn
It seemed a while to Emerwyn as well; it was almost blissful, sitting there with her. It felt like having a family.
"No, not at all. It is a cleansing process. The trouble with people is that they do no practice it nearly enough."
She smiled encouragingly at the lizard-girl.
"Now, we must get up and stretch our legs. Tears are a call for a fresh start. You must be hungry."
She stood slowly, then leaned down to offer Amaya her hand.
Amaya Vaughan
The teen managed a smile and looked up at her as she stood, taking her hand, or hoove, after a moment and pulling herself to her feet.
"Yeah..." Another final sniff. "S'what I set out to do in the first place."
Emerwyn
"Come, then. I shall escort you to the eating quarters."
Emerwyn walked by Amaya's side to the cafeteria, with a light skip in her step. Somehow, this all had lightened her spirits somewhat.
"Here I leave you. Please, remember what I said. Even if it made no sense to you whatsoever."
She laughed lightly at this.
Amaya Vaughan
Amaya smiled and followed alongside her. It took her more effort to keep up with the deer woman's long strides, but her tail seemed to take a mind of it's own and almost propel her as it swished from side to side as she walked.
Though once they reached their destination it slowly dropped back to it's normal hanging position. With a smile and a nod, she looked up at Emerwyn. "I will... and thanks. For listening to me cry."
This time her smile was genuine. "I'll see you later." After a short embrace, she turned and went into the cafeteria.
Emerwyn
"Trust me, Amaya. I will always have time to listen."
Visiting Chubbs
Amaya Vaughan
It had been a couple days since she had run into a bloody Chubbs in the jungle, but now that she had washed the clothing borrowed and no announcement has been made over the intercoms she was sort of worried for her large friend.
Amaya carried the bundle of clothing to his door and knocked. "Chubbs? It's Amaya." She hoped they haden't come and taken him away... He haden't done it though. He wouldn't do something like that. Ever.
Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs was just enjoying a rare steak he had brought from the cafeteria, tearing chunks off with his teeth. Looking up and his ears flicking when the door was knocked, his lip curled into a snarl, but stopped when Amaya spoke.
" Oh.. right hun, gimme a sec"
Chubbs had been loungin in a pair of shorts and grabbed a towel to wipe his paws and maw. Getting up off the seat he made his way to the door and opened it with a smile.
" Well hello there small, green and sexy"
Amaya Vaughan
The green iguana smiled sheepishly, her tail twitching and her head bobing in greeting. "I knew you'd still be here." She held out the clothing towards him.
"Tell Joliette thanks for the clothes." She smiled up at him.
Chubbs MacKraken
" Oh not a prob hun, can't have ya going around naked can we? We'll have to swat the fellas back with a stick"
He grinned in his, not so pleasant looking way and placed the clothing on the table inside before turning back to Amaya.
" So ya been alright hun?"
Chubbs lightly sniffed in her direction, he wasn't sure why he did that just now.
Amaya Vaughan
Amaya gave a sad smile. If only that were true. The confession she had with Emerwyn was brought to the front of her mind for a second before she pushed it back again. There was no need to get all depressed in front of Chubbs.
"Yeah, I've been good considering." She rubbed her arm with one of her scaley hands as she looked up at him. "What about you? They didn't contact you to tell you what was on your fur?"
Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs reached out and petted the top of her head with his paw and gave her a warm smile, knowing she didn't think much of herself.
" Me?.. been alright..no news yet as to what was on me. But I guess if it was some animals blood then they wouldn't bother with me?"
Chubbs shrugged aand then thought about it a little more.
" Unless it takes a while to do a test like that... seems like it does in the movies"
Amaya Vaughan
The tiny spines running down her head and spin pressed back under the weight of Chubbs' paw, though sprang back into the air once the pressure was off of it. Even though she wished she felt hair underneath, the gesture was still a little comforting.
"I guess your right." The girl agreed. "If it was just an animal I doubt they'd care enough to let you know... and... I never really watched forensic shows, so I wouldn't know. How long does it normally take?" Green eyes looked up at the huge bear.
Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs gave the lizard girl a small hug in one of his large fury arms, it was sweet of her to worry so much about him, but she needn't worry... right?
" I dunno hun, I thought it was a while. Anyway..you shouldn't worry so much, I need my Amaya smiles to keep me happy"
Amaya Vaughan
Amaya nuzzled close to him during the small one-armed hug with a smile. "I hope it's awhile... I've been trying to forget about it. The thought of what Moreau might do to us scares me."
Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs wrapped both arms around the girl and gave her a big hug. She really felt like a sister he'd never had, and that's why he wanted to look after her.
" I don't think he'll be too harsh hun, after all it's probably his fault in the first place, making us what we are. Now, don't worry ya little head and be glad everyones okay"
Amaya Vaughan
The lizard returned the hug as best she could, allowing her face to bury into his fur. She felt likewise about him, a brother she never had. Despite what some people thought of him when Chubbs snapped, even when he had slightly on her and she had been afraid... she believed that he could never hurt her if he was in his right mind. Just because he had been cursed with such a horrible combination, didn't mean it was his fault. It was the staff's fault.
She nodded and looked up at him. "Yeah... your right."
Chubbs MacKraken
Chubbs leaned down and gave her a big kiss on top of her head, one more hug and then stepped back with a smile.
" Course I'm right, I'm Chubbs the magnificent!... fear my glory!"
Chubbs then pulled a muscle pose and burst into chuckles and leaned against the door.
" I'm gonna get back to my food, and you look after yaself okay?"
Amaya Vaughan
Amaya laughed at the man's pose, though nodded once she calmed down. "Oh sure, sorry I interupted you."
Taking a step back she waved. "Bye Chubbs! Lemme know if they contact you at all." And then she started down the path back to her duplex.
