Kiku nodded before pulling a ciggarette case out of her 'purse' as well. She lit up before walking in the same direction as the tower.
"If we're heading back I'm doing at my own pace and I'm having a smoke," she said as she spit out a leaf. "I swear to kami, if my mother knew about this she might actually grow a backbone and do something."
She didn't even want to think about her father and brothers reactions. Kiku glanced over at her partner as they walked. Aside from her little noise at the end of her speeches she didn't seem to really have any bad habits.
"Since this is our first time as a team we should probably go through all that getting to know you crap."
Ibaraki poked his head into the room the rest of team Kakashi was in.
"I sneezed, which one of ya was talking about me?" He asked before grinning lavicously. "Was it you Jubei? Did you finally fall victim to my dashing good looks?"
So the Uchiha liked fcuking with the Uzamaki's head, it wasn't anything new between their families and quite frankly it was the only family tradition he found excessively fun. Well, he did like that one...

A proverbial fire blazed in Jubei's eyes.
"I'm the son of Naruto Uzumaki the Sixth Hokage!"
He threw his fist into the air.
"No one will beat me in battle, you can count on that!"
He brought his fist down in front on him and turned into in a victory sign, aiming it at Mai.
"If I were to fight either of you, I would do it with seriousness. I'll admit, I've never really done that before, so it's hard to say how I'd act. Just know that I would give it my all and that counts for a lot."
Jubei brought his hand back and scratched his head.
"That speech really worked up an appetite. Can we go eat something? Ramen is sounding really good right now. Or some Korean barbeque."
He looked back at Ibaraki and shook his head.
"You wish you had the looks of an Uzumaki. All the ladies love the blonde hair."

Mai burst out laughing, and pulled Jubei into an overly-affectionate hug.
"HAHAHAHa! That's why we love you Jubei!!!" She said cheerfully, then released him from her iron grip.
"But, yeah. I know you would fight seriously.. but not Ibaraki. He likes to play around~!" Mai said.
She then stepped closer to the tower, and reached out the door.
"C'mon, guys, let's head inside!" Mai said energetically, opening the grand doors.

Once again, Jubei metaphorically melted as he was hugged by Mai. He snapped back into reality when she let go of him and nodded.
"Going inside sounds like a great idea right now."
He followd after Mai, his hands behind his head as he yawned.

Mai looked about the room that was designated their's and waited. She knew, because it was the mission, that they wouldn't have to do this kind of silly stuff, to pass the time.
Mai was surprised when a poof of smoke signalized Kakashi's arrival.
"Kakashi-sensei! You're....... on time....?" Mai said, shcoked.

Ibaraki just laughed.
"Please tell me you're joking, you may be gold my friend, but a lady loves a man with the platnium. But personally, I'd rather have some oden or tempura. Or watermelon...yeah..."
Ibaraki suddenly realized what Mai said and just laughed.
"And what would you know about my fighting style imotou? only recently were we put on the same team. You seem to forget that I had plenty of missions before teaming up with you two."
Yeah, plenty of blood already. The new Uchiha Protege put his hands in his pockets and started walking to where anything else might be. He was quite suddenly not very hungry or talkative.

"Bossy little..." Emi muttered under her breath, and followed her brother. At least we have both scrolls now. And Hiro's right. A nap would be nice.
She stopped for a minute, and looked back at Rikou. "You coming?"

Jubei laughed at Ibaraki.
"Platinum? Try old man gray. The only women interested in that are ages sixty and above. Have fun with that."
He looked over at Kakashi, just as surprised as Mai was.
"No kidding. You're usually always late. I guess there's a first time for everything."

Mai blinked. Jubei was right, she guessed.
"so.... are there going to be prelimenaries? Do you know yet?" Mai asked hurrriedly. she wanted some answers.

Kaede drew one of her fans again, keeping it in motion to make sure the smoke came nowhere near her, heavy-lidded eye watching her teammate almost warily, if it wasn't for the fact that her eyes were not made to show emotion. She was itching to take to the branches above, to run as fast as she could to the tower, but without the rest of her team she might not get let in. Her stride a little longer than Kiku's; she walked a little ahead, upwind.
"I don't see any reason why we should; I'm an Aburame, is that not all you need to know?"

"And I'm an Uzamaki," Kiku said before pulling out an orange book. "Doesn't mean I enjoy it or even claim relations to those people. And quite frankly I'm only doing missions until I get enough money to open my place up. After that, I'm going off of active duty."
Kiku hated be hokage's daughter, but it was getting her a discount on the corner cafe she wanted. Her cs done and she crushed it on her heeled sandal-boot bufore tucking the butt into the cigarette case.
"Huh, it's the tower. You think Inuzuka is going to pass?"

Kaede remarked calmly.
"I guess I'm not much an Aburame, anyway. I don't like bugs enough to have them implanted under my skin, ya."
She made a graceful figure-eight pattern with her fan, her supple wrists bending in ways that said she was probably double-jointed, or had her wrists broken more than once.
I guess we've all got our goals. I want to get back to Suna, in my opinion, 'cuz it's just too cold here...
The Aburame gazed up at the tower, lashes meshing together to form a dark barrier against the sun.
"So it is, ya. I reckon he, she, whatever, might have a chance if they hurry reaaaal fast, ya."

Rikou was often afraid of his teammates being lazy enoguh to request he carried them, something he wouldn't do unless they were injured. Though, Rikou had trouble saying no to his friends despite some of the ridicules requests and to share his food. Rikou empty the rest of the chips he was eating into his mouth, not having the trait for saving the last chip as a holy last bite such as his father. Rikou placed the empty bag into his pack and reached for his bottle of water, pushing the pack with his other hand towards Emi and Hiro.
"You guys should drink up before we set off so you're not dehydrated."
The reason the garbage from the food was palced in the bag was that Rikou wasn't supportive of littering, it didn't seem right. He only littered with organic left overs, like banana peels or peanut shells.

"And its not that far to the tower; I'll drink something then."

Kakashi blinked, and shrugged. "Well, I didn't have anything to delay me today. Which is good, since I had to come meet you. Now." He crossed his arms, and looked over the three chuunin. "I don't know yet about preliminaries, Mai. Its only the first day. We have to give everyone a chance to finish before we decide that."
Kakashi glanced out the window. "Although, if all of the undercover groups pass, we'll probably have to have them."

"Oh, come on, Rikou. Even I'm not that lazy. I don't know about Hiro, though." Hiro sighed a little to that comment.
"Hey..." giving a small pause. "I've only did that once", Hiro said quietly. Finally the tower was in sight. A couple more meter and they would reach the tower.
