Lance saw Clyth sprint and only gave a playful smirk as he began giving chase. Soon he was in an ally way and when he saw Clyth turn the corner, he jumped, gave a kick against a nearby building, and jogged after Clyth. He saw him jump the fence and before he followed suit, he stopped and shook his head vigorously, trying to get the light drops of rain out of his hair. "Well?" he said as he stopped. Lance stared at Clyth with an intense look in his eyes, his mouth produced a sly grin. He turned, walked directly back to the building he had previously jumped against, turned once more, and ran. He ran until he was about a nice good 10 feet away and jumped. He landed atop the fence which he realized had points on them, like spikes but not quite spires. Carefully, Lance maneuvered his feet in between the spikes and stood, his hair dripping water and sticking to his scalp. "Well?" he repeated. As he waited for a response, he looked around for any escape routes Clyth might try to use. Not that it would do much good but he felt he knew the town fairly well. But when the fence he stood upon began to violently shake, he nearly lost his balance and only wondered what could have happened.

"You shouldn't have followed Lance." Clyth said, he stepped forward quickley and kicked him in the stomach, and followed with an elbow hitting him down. He was not sure why he was even doing this but it seemed he had a mind to follow the will of his demon.

From the inner depths of the ground, the cold wet pavement merged with a black head of hair. Next, from within, a crimson forehead emerged, followed by two vibrant orange eyes. Beneath the eyes, a vile and twisted toothy grin spouted forth from the ground.
"I see you two are alone..." Minixi snickered. "Unfortunately, the Imariquan over there caught up before I could get the human alone, but this will do... besides... this human has... a friend." With her last two words, Minixi shot a deceptively playful glance at Clyth and snickered. Then she looked up, almost beyond Clyth, yet still in his eyes. "Wanna come out and play...?"
Alayah stood within the doorway. She wasn't sure weather or not to follow. She knew that Lance was about at strong as Clyth; she'd seen them "fight" before. He could catch up, whereas Alayah had no chance. Her physical strength wasn't something to brag about. Yet she sensed that something of a deserter within herself by not going...

Clyth looked to his side, he saw Minixi rise from the ground. "Didn't think you were going to be following us after the incident on the outskirts of town." Clyth said shooting a quick glance at Lance. "I don't suppose you're here to thank me for driving off that jerk from earlier." Clyth said referring back to Vercoles. Clyth's hands began to emit a heat from the blue flame that all of them could sense, as if a warning.

Minixi glared at the hands; with those hands her plan wouldn't go as it was supposed to. "So... you have a belief do you? Just saying, that won't do anything to me. A simple belief cannot protect you my friend," said Minixi without making eye contact.
She gave Clyth a wide grin that revealed many shark-like teeth. Her eyes were speckled red and orange, and they glared at Clyth, as though pulling him inward. She just hoped that the rope she threw out would catch something.
"Isn't there someone you'd like to introduce me to...? Other than that Imariquan over there of course..." she said, still keeping her distance.
If I could just summon his inner demon, then I could get to him... she thought.
"So, are you going to be rude, or are you going to be a coward?"

A bus pulled up to a nearby stop. Inside of it was a petite, blond haired girl sitting on a cold and hard bench. Once the bus coasted into a stop, she stood up, straightened her white sundress, and walked to the front. She turned to the driver and asked,
"Where is the library?"
"It's one block down and the first building to your right." he responded.
She thanked the driver and threw her fare into the the funnel leading down to the container. She walked down the bus steps and started heading down to the library.

"My weakened flame may not protect me, but there is a being who won't like loosing his puppet..." Clyth said, his flame dispersed. "If you would like to meet him, you are welcome." Clyth was now truly bending to the master's will. He stepped forward once, and his eyes glowed a similar color that met her's. Clyth had a smile on his face, one not his own.
"His mind still has a little control over itself, but he will learn in time." The demon's voice said excusing Clyth. "What is the cause of the sudden pleasure of your company, Minixi?" The voice chilled the surrounding air, his words were like a horrible miasma flowing from his lips, he has truly gained some control over Clyth. "You may call me Vox for now, my true name may be revealed to you." Vox gave a bow, and stood straight, glaring into Minixi it seemed as if he were seeing right through her.

While walking, the sun's heat was pounding on Ceren's back like a hammer. In response, her back would tingle. With every step she took, she kept feeling something ominous. The feeling would get get stronger as she got closer to the demons.
"I don't see anything, but I know someone's here." she thought anxiously.
She breaks into a run. Once she, gets to the library, she walks up to the door and opens it. A rush of cool air flows through her hair. She was relaxed now.

Lance stood and as he did so, a smile appeared on his face. But it wasn't because he was happy but instead, quite the opposite. He knew that Clyth knew what would come of his mistake. He wasn't hurt, infact, he was slightly awakened. But just when he was about to charge after Clyth, he felt a more demonic presence fill his place. "Dear lord." he said as he swiftly followed until reaching a conversation between what appeared as Clyth but felt too demonic and the other demonic presence of Minixi. He turned a corner but then took a step back immediately, realizing that the two demons obviously had him outnumbered. Then, he jumped out and spoke "So Clyth, what're you doing? I thought you were back with us at the apartment. And what was with trying to hurt me?" He waited for a response from one of the two demons, expecting a fight to break out more than he did a friendly conversation.

Ceren walked over to the fiction section. One book that caught her attention was Don Quixote. She stood on her tiptoes and managed to get her fingers on the book. They pushed the book too hard. On reflex, Ceren uses her free hand to catch the book. Satisfied, she walks up to the front desk and flashes her library card. She walked out of the front door after placing the book in her bag. She walked near to the demonic presences she sensed.
"I should make sure no bypassers get hurt."
She stood by and clasped a small rod strapped around her waist.

Minixi gave a grin as the demon emerged from Clyth's body.
"The 'pleasure of my company?' you ask? Nothing in particular, Vox," she stopped for a moment after saying the name. She liked the way it sounded...
"So, since he has little control of the mind, I don't suppose the Flame could emerge anytime soon... not while you're here anyway..." she snickered.
Then she noticed the Imariquan reacting to Clyth's change. "Dear Lord," he had said. Minixi leaned over to him. "No, quite the opposite, it's Dear Minixi. But don't worry, I won't fight you. That wouldn't be fair now would it?"

"On the contrary, the flame will emerge, but in another way." Vox replied. He looked with a scornful stare towards Lance. "She may not kill you but you may not be so lucky with me." Vox seemed to be staring a hole through him. "I still must take vengeance against you for damaging my temporary body, now you appear to be perfectly vulnerable so why not deal the same damage to you that you cuased me?" Clyth's leg stepped forward toward Lance.
