Zakura was some what disappointed when he reached the castle thinking that all of his amusement for today was over when he heard a loud crash and an amazing amount of power flood the area. "maybe not" he thought as he kept walking hoping to see what was going on.

Kel glanced over at the growing situation in the cortyard between the robed figure and what appeared to be a person of royalty. He shook his head, looking at the robed figure again. "A reaper? Here? No... He can't be an ordinary reaper. Not with that sword. Something isn't right here." He quietly shifted closer trying to stay out of view of all parties as he moved.

Violet felt the ground start to shake and in the same instant the king was gone. "Dang it!" her timing was never good enough to let her do what she wanted. She didn't want to wait in the kitchen for the king to return so she slid down from the counter and ran to the entrance of the castle going out into the court yard. When she got there the king seemed to be glaring down the intruder; but she could see why. He was a bit creepy looking in her opinion. She stayed back away from the two, but close enough so that when the man eventually went away she could get Colm's attention before he would disappear again to somewhere else.

Tala was startled by the ripple of raw power in the air. I couldn't be coming from anyone but the King. And the one she assumed was the King (simply by the grandeur of his presence) was staring down at this strange man. His appearance frightened her and it made Makani growl, teeth bared.
"Hush Makani. This isn't our fight. We are simply here to observe and lend our help."
She kept to the gate, sliding along the side. There were a lot of onlookers watching the exchange between the King and the frightening man.

Valkyrie stood by the gate, watching curiously. She had put her sword away, sensing that she wouldn't need it. "So that's the king, huh?" she muttered quietly. "I guess I'll see how this turns out."

Tala nodded to Valkyrie, "He is quite powerful isn't he? I wonder what element he wields."
Tala nervously held her family crest between her fingers, the necklace around her neck giving her comfort.

Valkyrie nodded. "Yeah. He is pretty powerful. Not bad looking, either," she added with a grin. "As for which element...I'm guessing all of them, from the power coming off of him. Is that even possible?"

Which wasn't entirely true. Tala would disagree with anyone who was doing something truly wrong. But that didn't mean that she wouldn't be afraid if that person was more powerful than herself. But even still, Tala wouldn't wouldn't run away. That was what her father taught her.
Tala shook her head to clear her musings. She was interested to see what would happen.
"I wonder where Cairo and Muki are. I would have thought they would have followed us out of the tavern."

Valkyrie nodded in response to Tala's first statement, although she wasn't entirely sure she agreed. She hadn't really decided what she thought of the new king yet, but she would figure that out later.
"I dunno. Maybe they weren't interested."

"An earthquake seems interesting enough." Tala smiled to herself at her poor attempt at a joke.
Makani whined anxiously and Tala put a hand on the she wolf's head to calm her.
"It's alright girl."

"Unless you've experienced a lot of them. Cairo and Muki kind of seem like they spend a lot of time around these parts. Maybe they're used to it." Valkyrie looked around at the other people watching the king, guessing from the looks on their faces that everything was not normal.

Violet looked around. So many people we coming to see what had happened. She knew this was probably not good if the strange man decided to suddenly attack. It would be quite easy for him to take someone hostage and then who knows what would happen. She then silently slid one of her daggers from a hidden pocket on her pant leg. She was most certainly not going to be taken hostage. She eyed a few people near the gate. 'I hope they know how to defend themselves as well'

"Lady Valkyrie, I don't know about you, but it seems to me that things are getting increasingly tense. Maybe that man is really a threat to the King."
Tala evaluated the situation, hoping to find some sort of fire source so that they had an extra outlet of power they could draw from just in case they needed it. It was draining to use your abilities by drawing from your core alone.

Nodding, Valkyrie calmly drew her sword, checking to make sure her daggers were all in place. "Maybe so. If he is, he'll find that the king is not the only person out here who can yield power." Despite her uncertainties about the king, Valkyrie knew one thing: she was willing to fight to protect him, if it meant keeping the country from turmoil.
"Tala...you're a healer, right?"

Delrath listened as the King spoke his request. But his mind seemed to be distracted. He felt at what he thought was the presence of others, but he could not see anyone. He turned his attention back to the King. "Do you know why I'm here, my noble King?" He put his hand on the hilt of his new sword.
