Gerard chuckled lightly.
"Oh, right. I'll be sure to take a bath in spring water after I'm done fighting flesh-eaters."
He checked the pool; it looked like it led to other streams and water.
"The water here....it's not moving naturally. There must be streams and ravines that lead elsewhere. Perhaps we should follow the strongest current; it may lead out of this forest."

Jake pondered this. "Should we really though, for all we know this island is a fricken experiment by the government, maybe they made unnatural water. But, I digress, you're right, we should follow the current." Jake began to circle the water, looking for a stream access.

Gerard nodded, and started moving around the circumference of the pool, watching for tangent lines of water.
"It would have to be the strongest current, the one that would lead us out of here. See, look at this. The pool itself isn't even natural; it looks like it was dug out with spades, not more than six months ago. I'm thinking the water supply is given certain downhill channels to make it rush and move, creating energy that can be used to power some kind of generator."
Gerard looked at Jake. "Just a theory."

Jake walked around the pool, listening to Gerard rant on. He ended with "Just a theory." and Jake looked at him. He quickly reached to his belt and pulled out his Desert Eagles. "Gerard, jump and swim." Jake said as calmly as he could. He aimed carefully, and fired two shots past Gerard, hitting two zombies in the incoming swarm.

Gerard didn't respond immediately; Jake fired two shots past his head, and he stumbled into the pool. The spot where he landed was deep; the water was up to his shoulders, and the current was strangely growing.
Zombies poured from the trees; mostly animals, but some were human.
"They must have escaped from the cruiser. Or maybe there are some originating on this island? What are we running into?"
As Jake was firing his pistols at the zombies, a strange alarm sound erupted amongst the trees.
WHHHOOOOOO.....OOOOOHHHHHH.......
Gerard sputtered: "What is that?!"
Jake continued firing, sending zombie after zombie to the ground. Several corpses fell into the rushing water with him, bobbing on the surface.

"All her vitals are normal sir", a woman said looking at a computer screen, "Yes yes that's perfect..............", the male scientist said staring at the girl, "When will she wake?", he asked sounding very excited, "It will be a while sir ,but she will awake", she said looking over at her shoulder at him as she started at the girl floating on the inside of a large cylinder, "Hahahaha soon........just a little longer", the scientist thought to himself still staring at the girl.

As the alarm sounded, a grinding sound was heard under the pool of water, and the current started strengthening.
"Jake....Jake! The current; it's increasing I can't-"
It was too late; the current rushed along, bringing Gerard and the zombie corpses along with him.
Jake saw Gerard being dragged away from the corner of his eye. A large, zombie monkey was approaching. He pulled the pistol triggers, but it clicked empty. He pressed the buttons on the handles, releasing the magazines. He reloaded both, but Gerard wasn't in sight anymore.

Oricai's transport stood ontop of a platue over looking much of the island until you get to a forest. Behind his he could hear one of his scientist gaining on him steadily.
Commander Yavich," The scientist said almost jumping from the excitment. "We've detected biosignatures below us as well as sysmic vibrations. We believe they are from machines and voices."
"Get to the point Johnson." Oricai said his patience getting thin.
"Sir we believe its the famed think tank."
Oricai smiled within his mask. "Try hacking into their system and try and get us a Birds eye biew."
The scientist ran off to the hackers table, excitement chater through teh entire lab. But Oricai was much more excited about what was holding.

"Just a little longer..................................", the male scientist said to himself as he started to study the girl as she floated there, "She is going to be my Eve", he said as a grin came across his face, "Umm sir what are you talking about?", the woman sitting in front of him, "Don't worry about it just do your damn job", he said snapping at her, "Y-yes sir, sorry sir", the woman said getting nervous as she continued. The girl's face was covered by her hair, but soon it waved out of the way showing her face, "Together we will make a new world.................Naiya Hina", the scientist thought to himself as his facial expression started to change from a calm look to a more crazed one.

{ burning_eyes Creepy scientist man. I once had a pediatrician who was creepy; he wore ducky ties and had Peter Pan Ken dolls around his office.}

"Sir." One of the hackers called from his screen, his hands more like tenticles since he was also mutated. "We're in."
"Good," Oricai said as he walked to the computor. "Can you get us a view?"
"More than that sir." The hacker pressed a button and shown a room with three scientists a woman a man facing a tube and another man writting in a notebook.
"Wait," He grimmaved and looked at the tube. "zoom in on that tube." The hacker did and a woman was floating inside of it. "Oh my god. Naiya?"
"Sir?" The hacker said concerned face.
"Unlock that tubing and you get a promotion." He started toward the door to the lab but then turned to the weapon cabnet.
"Sir?" The scientist still questioned.
"Wake up what ever is in that tank." Oricai loaded both of his guns and slid on an automatic rifle. "I'll be back."
reluctantly the hacker presed in a code and deactivate the tube to wake up whatever was in it.

Gerard coughed, water spraying from his mouth. He felt grass against his face. He opened his eyes slowly; he saw the sun shining on him, and could see rocky hills and mountains in the distance. He slowly pulled himself out of the now calm stream; the water had carried him to another area. He looked around; thick trees could be seen in mountains and hills; he was in a deep valley. The stream led further across the flat, grassy plain. He could see a building in the distance, small structures set up along it.
"What is that? Anything's better than laying here in the mud."
He stood up, and went toward the short buildings.

"Sir we have a problem", the woman said to the scientist behind her, "What is it?", he asked sounding mad, "Someone is trying to hack into the tubes computer.............and it seems they are trying to shut the hibernation system down sir", she said looking at him, "NO....no one will take her away from me when I'm so close", he said sounding like a mad man, "Cut all systems links to the tube and run everything manually", he said typing on another computer to cut all links to the woman's computer and the tube from the system links of the lab.
