Vyce was shocked. Here he was, sick of worry, and all this because she was tired?

TIRED?!

Shut the ******** up, Id! Wow, he must've been really worried to be this pissed off. Id, why do you fuel the fire? Last time he got this pissed off he almost snapped his brother like a twig!

Oh come on! Why am I the only one that seems to think of the important stuff?!

Guys... Stop talking like I'M NOT HERE!!!

Vyce decided to let her lay on the bed. He needed to vent somewhere. Really bad. It pissed him off greatly that something so potentially grave had been triggered by something so simple as lack of sleep. He went off to cool down in the pool. He just stripped to his boxers and jumped in, staying in as deep as he could as long as he could. After a while, he just swam around for a while.

Chester flinced. he yelled in surprise. His glanced quickly around the room as if looking for something, but that was just reflex. He could tell that the scream had come from outside. Chester darted over to the window, stuck his head out, then pulled it back with a mild expletive. He looked over his shoulder at Oni and said, matter of factly, "I think someone fell off the roof." After a short pause he continued, "I'll be right back." Then he jumped out the window.

Chiku looked back at Seori sadly.

"I...I'm sad that Vyce is mad at me, even though this really wasn't because I'm sleep deprived, but...could you please not tell him why I really screamed? I don't want him to be worried about me." She blushed.

Koiyuki looked up at her from where she was sitting and said, "I'm down here if you're looking for me."

"Oh..it wasn't Vyce I saw dead. It was the first guy I'd fallen in love with. He disappeared. I always think it may have been partly because of me, like something I did made him die. Well, I actually don't know if he died yet. All I know is that I'll never see him again. And...and...I hope the same thing doesn't happen to Vyce. I want to be able to see him. No matter what happens. He was really the first person I managed to talk to here." Chiku took the cup of tea, and then looked out the open window.

"Oh, look. I hadn't realized how late it was getting. The sun's setting already." Chiku watched it in a slightly longing and reminiscent way. "Isn't it beautiful?"

Seori looked out the window at the beautiful sunset. It was gorgeous, but she was thinking about what Chiku had said. She wondered what had happened to Chiku's first love, and why she was afraid the same thing would happen to Vyce. He was the first friend Chiku had made, and Seori smiled to herself at the thought of a romance bound to blossom. After she finished her coffee, and Chiku finished her tea, she decided to let Chiku get her well deserved rest, and took the tray of dishes down to the kitchen.

"If I don't take care of them later tonight, I'm sure Ai wouldn't mind," she thought, leaving the cluttered tray by the sink. Seori headed out into the cool breeze of early evening. Shory seemed as though he had left the his reverie and the willow. Perhaps he had gone to investigate the scream, but she still felt bad for not returning to him. Oh well, she'd talk to him later tonight, but now, she had some swimming to do.

Seori neared the pool, looked around, and went to undress behind a tree. She had left her suit in th little shed holding the pool equipment. But as the sky began to darken, and there seemed to be no sign of anyone else around, she once again ran to the pool and dove in for a little night time skinny dipping.

Vyce was underwater when he heard a splash and saw a figure descending in the water. He wasn't mad anymore, but he spent hours in the pool, just thinking. He just flipped it off as someone who had jumped in the pool, so he continued his dive, paying no mind.

Chiku watched as Seori left the room again. Then she softly spoke.

"Raki? I need you to do something for me."

The chipmunk scurried out from behind the dresser and onto the bed. "What do you want now?"

"I need you to find something for me. You know what I'm talking about. It should be in the library. Go."

Raki grumbled for a moment, but then ran silently down the hallways and to the library. Chiku then turned over to fall asleep.

Once he got to the library, he knew which book he needed to get. The problem was, it was one of the ones on the higher shelves, and it was a good deal bigger than him. Nonetheless, he climbed the shelf, and then considered possible ways to get the book. Finally, he climbed behind it and pushed against the hard wood backing to get it out. Just as it seemed to be getting off balance, he stopped and plugged his ears with his paws. The "THUD" it made was deafening, even with his ears plugged. "This place is going to be the death of my hearing!" he moaned, before scampering down to read the open book.
