One of the first things that Jaden noted about the map was that there were two arenas marked on it. Hm. I suppose as long as there are precautions taken, the arenas could be a nice place to learn magic or train physically. Once he took that thought into consideration, he decided most of his time would be spent away from the arenas; they would mean effort. The side of the campus opposite of the arenas appeared fairly empty, however. "Good, a place to relax in the sun..." he said to himself.
A few seconds passed, and the girl he had looked at earlier arrived at the table as well. She looked kind, moved gracefully, and was even sort of cute when she flashed a smile. "Nice to meet you, Nevaeh. My name is Jaden Klad, and yes I'm new here as well." He gave her a small smile of his own as he again adjusted his glasses by pushing them up by their lens brace.
As she moved away a little, he turned his eyes back to the map and spotted the transporter intended to send them to their dorms. That should probably be my next stop, though there's no reason to rush there quite yet. He decided he might as well talk. "May I ask what brings you to this schoo-"
Before Jaden could complete his question, his attention was drawn towards the activities of a very tall, and apparently unruly, male student. Not a lot of students would need an armed guard and to be bound handcuffs. He didn't seem afraid of the gun, either. Jaden had almost begun to analyze him, but decided not to waste time on it. He was sure that he would see or hear more of that student sooner or later.

Everyone here was so... scrawny. That was Kyouichi's first thought upon staring around at the other apparent new arrivals. Granted, he was definitely tall for his age, or any age for that matter, so it was to be expected. Idly scratching his neck with the barrel of his gun, despite that his finger was still tense upon the trigger, he strode over to the information booths, staring down at them with disdain. Or, were those looks toward the girls nearby? It was hard to tell by looking.
His red eyes swept over them, lightly narrowed, yet his lips were curved in a very faint smirk. There seemed to be a lot of girls here... But, they were just that. Girls. Young girls. God, he was too old for this place. He muttered something under his breath as his gaze wandered over the tables, something that sounded very foul even though it couldn't quite be made out. It ended by trailing into a light growl of frustration. The giant obviously wasn't happy about being here.
He listened in for a second, and couldn't help scowling briefly. Had someone just asked another if they were new? At the entrance gates? Another crude string of words passed through his lips, muttered under his breath in a low, dangerous tone that was mostly kept to himself. He had a gun and he had the will to use it and more, but he didn't wish to ruin his temporary fake freedom so soon. He still wasn't really free, but it was his first time out among civilians in a long time. He wouldn't spoil it just yet.
So, completely ignoring the staring girl who looked annoyingly excited, the girl who'd asked the stupid question, and the male who'd answered, he plucked a map from the table. Stuffing it into his pocket, he then turned, striding away quickly on his long legs.
What are you doing..? Go! Their guard isn't even up! C'mon... C'mon! I know you want to crash this place with a bang. What would be better than that..?
"..shut the hell up."
He always forgot the voice he heard was silent to everyone else.

Nevaeh sighed as she continued to browse pamphlets, spotting another girl who had just arrived nearby who seemed very friendly and excited to be here, and the mystery man who approached the table with the armed guard escort and the gun... who was quiet at first but then apparently was talking to himself foully. She picked up a few more pamphlets and decided to answer Jadens' question.
"Actually, I don't really know, I guess it's here or no where. I haven't been into school in a long time, I had other obligations.. Now since I don't have them anymore, this was the only school to accept me since I'm 19, and many others wouldn't take a 19 year old freshman in.." she finished the sentance very low, almost regrettable.
She shrugged. "What about you...? What brings you to Ria..?"

Ignoring the unruly boy as he passed by, Jaden folded the pamphlet of the campus map that he had taken, then slipped it into his right pants pocket before he turned to look at Nevaeh yet again. Once she had finished explaining, he replied, "Ah, I see. Well, I suppose it is a good thing that you are working towards completing your education. It seems to be a lot of work, though."
Jaden sighed before he began again. "I'm here because my parents grew tired of their twenty-year-old son being at their house. They seem to think this school will motive me... I can't believe I have to waste time with this, but it was this or nothing." He shrugged and turned his head to look back towards the school briefly. They won't be able to change me, though. No one's ever been able to, because I have no reason to change, he reaffirmed to himself.
Turning his head back to face the girl, he put his hands into his pants pockets and said, "So, that is the general idea behind my story. In comparison, you shouldn't feel bad for being here at nineteen. You had things to do."

Nevaeh nodded her head in confirmation with Jadens' words to her. She shifted a little and looked up at the large school as well, thinking "Well I guess this was better than nothing..." and she turned back towards the nice leafy scenery and the students running and laughing, joking as they played in the almost perfect green grass.
"I'm not sure if I will fit in here though.. so far so good I guess, but what do you think...? I mean.. I've never really been to high school so I wouldn't know much.. What about you..?" She asked as she turned to face him now, and slid a hand through her straight black hair.

Lotti staying calm and quiet so as best to observe her fellow students and, by degree, understand how they operated and how best to replicate their actions so as best to fit in was as likely as a snowball living a long, healthy life in the heart of a volcano: not all that likely at all. Slitted eyes bright, the girl was almost like an over friendly puppy -- the orders to sit and stay were just waiting to be tossed aside. From the depths of her backpack Mr. Jack sighed; he knew the girl like the back of his fluffy hand and, as much as he hated to admit it, knew she was seconds away from ignoring him.
The two students closest to her were talking animatedly about the school, themselves; thus engaged it was their interactions rather their individual specifics that were quirky, and to interrupt them would be to interrupt that interaction, and nobody wanted that. Well, to be specific, nobody might care to concern themselves with people they didn't know, so Lotti associated herself with 'nobody' and took that as fact. Fortunately there was the angry giant for Lotti to busy her mind with, and the pink eyed girl watched him with the ignorant fascination of a child. She couldn't for the life of her understand just why he would be so unhappy to be in a place that was so obviously wonderful; the scene that had unfolded when the individual in question had arrived had meant little to Lotti. Whether it was just that she didn't understand the circumstances or simply didn't care was debatable even by Mister Jack.
She might, just might have been able to restrain herself and make Mr. Jack a happy rabbit, but then the angry man spoke to no one in particular. The emotions accompanying the unhappy words flew right over her head; Lotti looked around curiously and wasn't too surprised when she saw no one there. To Lotti there was a simple answer: someone else with an active imagination! And Uncle Claude had been worried!
"Lotti, no..!" Mr. Jack was completely ignored once again as Lotti skipped after the individual that didn't look like the sort who enjoyed being skipped after, lugging her suitcases with admirable determination. It took quite a bit of doing, but she drew even with him with some difficulty before looking up at him with a megawatt grin, ignorant of or ignoring the 'stay away' vibe.
"Who are you talking to?" she asked. "And why don't you look at whoever it is directly when you talk to them? That helps them know you're serious, doesn't it?"

Kyouichi needed to get out of here. The sight of these people, with their bright expressions and their general normalcy was making him feel ill. Not to mention, he found their petty little conversation incredibly idiotic. Of course, he wasn't going to butt in. He just continued his long strides, carrying his tall form quickly away from the area. He didn't look at the map in his hand. It'd been stuffed into his pocket actually, out of sight and out of mind. He neither cared nor knew where he was going. As long as it was someplace less populated, that'd work for him. Except, there was one little problem, and it was bouncing after him with a horribly large grin.
He gave her a passive look at first, a glance down in her direction as if to see if something really had spoken up so close to him. Apparently he hadn't thought it possible, because as soon as he'd looked away, his head craned right back again, staring down at her with a rather blank look. A double take. It was hard to distinguish between surprise, irritation, or a general air of uncaring. He regarded her silently for a few seconds, his pace not once slowing. He expected her to fall behind, since she had shorter strides and a heavy bag to carry. He wasn't about to offer to help either. Just leave her in the dust and carry on with his own affairs.
"...and who the hell are you talkin' to?" he asked right back, his voice a bit dull as he stared forward again. Yes, he'd just ignored the little girl's advice. He wasn't going to look at her, because he didn't wish to speak to her, and he couldn't for the life of him figure out why she'd approached in the first place.
A target! And she walked up so easily too... Think about it, picture it. The blood, the chaos... Just one little twitch of the finger. Go on, go on..!
Frowning to himself, Kyou lifted the gun from his shoulder, scratching his head lightly with the barrel of it. Then his arm shifted, waving it at her as if shooing her away. His finger never once lifted from the trigger. "Go away, little brat," he said in a tone that completely disregarded the insult he'd included, and the gun settled back against his shoulder.

Man, people that weren't Uncle Claude walked fast! Choosing not to think on that fact due to it being easily explained by either Uncle Claude being old or his not really having a place to run to, Lotti tightened her grip on her suitcases and struggled to keep up with the man's long strides. This was by no means an easy feat; the girl had the muscular strength of a cooked noodle. Of course the logical thing to do would be to use her powers to drag her possessions along (or, at the very least, force Mr. Jack to care for them), but she was under the (somewhat) irrational inclination that were she to stop even for a moment to work her magic this mystery person would be gone in a flash, and then her insatiably curiosity would remain insatiable... which, as everyone knows, would be a real shame.
"Lotti is not sure..! Lotti has not gotten around to asking." she replied to his questions, her concentration momentarily divided as she attempted to shift her luggage, realized her mistake, and settled back into the moronic stance that left her practically bounding after her new 'friend'.
Mr. Jack, moody and annoyed in her backpack, didn't have to point out that this wouldn't last long. The stuffed rabbit's nerves were slowly frying; peaking out of the jostled backpack didn't give him the greatest view of the individual Lotti seemed determined to annoy, but what he saw was enough to be very wary of the weapon the man was only too comfortable with waving around. Always the reasonable one of the two, Mr. Jack was all kinds of uncomfortable with the situation, but since he was the one made of imaginary stuffing he kept his mouth shut.
"Who is Brat? Lotti thinks you have her confused with someone." the girl chirped, still grinning despite her obvious luggage predicament. Treating it more like a game then anything else she kept pace with him as best as she could, speaking in a broken laugh. "Lotti's name is Charlotte Korbë, but she thinks Lotti is easier to say. Who are you, and where are you going so quickly? You just arrived; shouldn't you be taking your time and taking everything in?"

Well, this was certainly an unwanted predicament. Why wouldn't she just leave him alone? She... was obviously retarded. That must be it. That was the only logical explanation as to why she was following someone emitting such a dangerous vibe and chattering away like he wasn't holding an over-sized gun as if it equaled the weight of a feather. Kyouichi blinked, glancing down at her again, but this time with a rather perturbed expression. She definitely was a talkative one... He hated it.
You should shut her up. For good. Just one little twitch and she'd never speak again...
His frown darkened, eyes and face staring ahead again. "You," he spoke again, but this time it came out in something close to a low growl. His irritation was growing. "You. Are. A. Brat." He spoke slowly, spelling it out for a two year old. This girl reminded him of one, actually. Referring to herself in the third person was so damn annoying to listen to. He scratched his head with the gun again, ruffling already wild hair. Then he turned, spinning rather sharply to face her. His left hand reached out, the empty one, and for a second it looked like he was going for her throat. But he caught himself, and he peered down at his hand, looking oddly... surprised. Though, the look quickly faded. He lingered like that for a second longer, hand level with her throat, aching to grab on, to squeeze, to...
Do it... do it, you coward!
His fingers twitched, resisting the urge, and then eased down by his side once more. "...Listen brat," he tried again, attempting to sound calm, but his voice was dripping with a bitter undertone. "I have no intention of telling you a damn thing, so just leave me the hell alone."
Do it.. I bet no one would miss her. Just listen to that annoying talking, and talking, and talking... Cut it off. Squeeze and cu-
Just like that, Kyou turned back around and the long strides advanced into a quick walk, then a jog, and suddenly he simply took off, literally sprinting toward the main areas of the school. And away from her. The girl who was just screaming 'shoot me'. They hadn't warned him about annoying little kids when they'd dumped him off here...

It wasn't Seyla's fault at all, for not realizing that the fae didn't typically link arms with one another-- it was a common misconception among all of the races, as each specific race surely had their own misconceptions...
Take the faeries for example-- truly, most faeries found humans to be one of the most idiotic creatures to walk about the planet, which was why they liked to cause trouble for them. Of course causing problems for the widest-spread population was foolish, as they now had a negative reputation. Momoko felt that it was her job to prove that her race wasn't as bad as people thought, and to prove to the others that races different from their own weren't bad either.
It reminded her that someone would be sent to check up on her soon... But who would it be, she wondered? Maybe one of her sisters? It couldn't possibly be her parents... And when she wasn't wondering who was coming, when was that person coming? Tomorrow? In a month? These were thoughts that worried the girl most.
But she didn't have to worry right now, did she? After all, she had just made good friends with Seyla.
Momoko was distracted again when she heard a very soft voice-- warm, and welcoming... and then Seyla calling for Momoko's attention.
"Momo! Guess What!" Seyla's words pulled her attention to Seyla's face, honestly a little bewildered by the sudden explanation. Mother Aili? ...Already?! She gave a nervous gasp and started to look around for this character that Seyla admired so much... but there were many people in the area, truly...
Then she was turned forcefully to look at a thin, silver-haired woman with beautiful eyes. It wouldn't be fair of Momo to say that only the woman's eyes were pretty... Mother Aili in entirety was beautiful! An innocent blush crept onto the faerie's cheeks and her hands moved up to said cheeks to cover them. What a kind aura! An angel, perhaps...?
“Now, see that woman with the silver hair? That’s Mother Aili, isn’t she so pretty?”
Momo squeaked back shyly, "Y-yes..! She's so beautiful!"
She could feel the supreme air that the woman held. True, Seyla said she was a very kind woman, but Momo couldn't help but be nervous around someone so adored! She didn't have to know many people to know that Mother Aili was exactly that type of figure in the heart of the students here...
"Aane..?" She inquired, turning back to the other and grabbed the elder girl's hands. Both of them. "She looks like such a nice lady... I'm embarassed about meeting her, maybe..."

In truth, Jaden didn't know what to think. He wasn't even sure if he cared enough to consider what the experience of being at this school would be like; even if he did care enough, he would probably be too laid back to in any case. "Well," he began to say calmly, "considering that I have never been to one myself, and that I have only just met you, I do not think I can offer an accurate judgment for either the school or you." He gave a slight shrug with his shoulders to emphasize his uncertainty. "Personally, I could care less about 'fitting in.' I am who I am, they are who they are. Unless the circumstances require, I see no reason to change that."
Barely within the frame of his vision, he observed the motions of the shy girl and the unruly boy. It would appear not everyone shares my opinion, though. Jaden was somewhat concerned about the behavior of that boy, waving his gun around carelessly the way that he was. A slip of the finger could mean disaster, and a slip of a finger can be only as far as the slip of the tongue. The girl seemed to be getting on the boy's nerves. Trouble wouldn't be far if it persisted.
But... do I care? Do I really have to waste time even thinking about it? If something happened, the school should to blame for not having the proper precautions set in place. Therefore, Jaden felt no responsibility to intervene; what happened would happen. His attention drifted back to Nevaeh, and he offered his right hand out to her for a handshake with a smile.
"In any case, I should be moving along. I would like to look around the campus it gets too late." What that roughly translated to when it came to Jaden was, "I want to go relax in the sun before it sets." It was his favorite, and in fact only pastime. Just the thought of the light's warm rays soaking into his skin and clothing warmly brought more ease to the young man's mind than anything else could. He was thinking that Nevaeh probably had better things to do anyway; a conversation with Jaden could rarely be called thrilling.

Nevaeh nodded at his accurate reply, and realized how she had actually been trying too hard already and in fact hadn't even made it 30 feet past the main gates of the school. She daunted a little unsure what to make of herself. Supposing Jaden was right, then.. Im probably pretty boring, and making a fool of myself. Her medium black bangs flew to the side of her forehead and for some reason, she had a strange feeling...
Nevaeh turned slightly, Somethings wrong with the wind, she thought, Has it got something to do with that boy and that giddy girl...? and with that she focused her main attention on the strange display going on past her up a bit farther onto the grounds. The man with the gun and the excited girl. The gun floating from position to position and the girl struggling with her best might to catch up to him. This made Nevaeh curious why she would pursue such an obvious want-to-be outsider. Why couldn't the poor girl grasp that she needed to let him alone, and maybe try to find a more suitable friend for herself...? Then thinking back to what Jaden had said, she thought, I guess this is none of my business, they are them, and I am me. It doesn't concern me. Best to leave it alone.
With that and Jadens decision to go check out the rest of the grounds before the sun set, she turned to him and nodded abruptly quick. "Yes, I agree. Lets get on wit- nygh..." She cut herself off before she continued with the rest of the sentence. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to invite myself along with you. You probably want to do your own thing." She sighed and thus for the first time grabbed her bag instead of having it float beside her, and reached out to shake his hand. "Nice meeting you... Good luck..."

The fiery tiger stalks its prey in the shadowy jungle. Koneko slowly walked up to the school. Out of the corner of her feline eyes she saw that some of the boys at the gate where giving her some rather unwanted attention. Rolling her eye she walked up to the Andriod. "Welcome to Ria High School please show me your acceptance letter so I may give you your student ID." The Adroid said. Koneko handed the Adroid her Paperwork. In return Koneko was handed her student ID. She thanked the Adroid. She hardly got two feet inside the gates when some of the boys from earlier came up to her. "Is it hot out here or is it just you?" One of them came up and asked her. "Get away from me you creep." She told him. But the boy just kept talking. "So tell me sweety. What's it like to be the hottest girl out here?" Koneko turned to face the annoying boy and said in a very polite tone of voice. "Look. I don't know who you are. But I said to go away. So please do me a favor and go away." She was used to this behavor from boys and most stopped pestering her at this point, but not all. And it was clear this one wasn't about to give up on her. "Why don't you come visit my dorm room and you can show me around." The boy kept on. "Thanks. But I think I'll pass on that inventation." Koneko responded politely, even though she was straining to be polite to the immature boy. She hated these ones. These types of boys tended to never leave her alone. She walked past the group of boys but was blocked by them. "No really. Babe I insist." He said, taking her and putting his arms around her shoulders."I know milk does a body good, but DANG...How much have you been drinking?" He said. Not only was this one persistent, but he also had bad lines. Pushing his arm off of her shoulder she said. "Seriously. I said to leave me alone." THe boy ignored her shove. But one of the other ones suggested. "Hey Kaemon. She's not interested so maybe you should give up." Holding Koneko in his arms he replied. "I'd never give up on such a hot tiger." Then began to stroke her hips. Now she was done being polite. In just a splite second Koneko abruptly turned around and slapped him. A few of the them gasped with there jawsdropped. It didn't take anytime at all for Kaemon to respond. "Well now. Aren't we fiesty." THen he whispered into her ear. "But I like fiesty." Koneko grabbed her metal fans from her waist and opened them. SHe knew that they didn't look very dangerous but they could cut through almost anything.

Well, this fellow classmate was obviously not the talkative type. Any thinking sentient (or un-sentient, as it was) being could have seen that... any but Lotti, who struggled to keep pace with the man as best she could with a childish determination. She did her best to ignore the obvious strain to no avail; despite her best efforts she was slowing. The girl puffed out her cheeks in annoyance; she wanted to keep up, damnit! But then he spoke and Lotti looked up with stars in her eyes, sure that the friendship conversation was about to begin. Alas, she was wrong.
"Brat..?" she repeated in confusion, unsure of the word. She would have to remember to ask it's definition once she found a teacher... the inner memo was instantly forgotten as she skidded to a stop, her suitcases swinging forward to almost hit the angry man (which, undoubtedly, would have been a very, very dangerous thing to do) before swinging back to settle at her side, almost rocking the girl off her feet. Maintaining her balance, Lotti craned her neck back to look up at the man, her expression only curious as her pink eyes dropped to the hand that reached out towards her. What was he doing? Was she supposed to shake his hand? Uncle Claude had said that a handshake was a customary greeting in some places... had she successfully worn down convinced this individual to stop running away from her cheerful desire to make friends?
"Mister..?" she started, all full of hope.
"...Listen brat. I have no intention of telling you a damn thing, so just leave me the hell alone."
Obviously not.
"Huh..?" Lotti blinked, then made a face as the tall grump turned and strode away from her. "Hey, wait a minute!" she yelped as she took a step after him, then paused to look down at her arms in irritation. Her eyes narrowed, something lethal echoing in their depths... and then they closed in a silent grimace, her bags being dropped at her side as she reached one hand to rub idly at the bow at her throat and the restraining marks hidden beneath it.
"Lotti, just let him go!" Mr. Jack hissed from the depths of her backpack, struggling to free himself so as best to lecture. "The guy's obviously deranged; weren't you watching when he tried to strangle you?!"
"Lotti is more curious to know how you were able to watch him as he may or may not have been trying to strangle Lotti, Mr. Jack." Lotti said matter-of-factly as she turned to the side and stared at the empty space beside her, a sweet smile lighting her face as a red wagon shimmered into being as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
"I’m imaginary! Why are you asking me to explain you to you?!" Mr. Jack griped.
"Mr. Jack is too serious!" Lotti laughed as she snapped her fingers before raising her hands, giving her shoulders a rub as her heavy suitcases swept themselves up to settle in the red wagon. Reaching a pale hand out to grip the handle she straightened her back and continued forward in determination. "Besides, making friends is hard… Lotti’s not going to let this one get away! So buck up, Mr. Jack… you have Lotti’s back, so Lotti has nothing to worry about!"
"You’d have nothing to worry about if you’d imagined me about six feet taller and made of metal and Kevlar instead of stuffing…” Mr. Jack grumbled.
Lotti only laughed at her imaginary friend’s conclusion, pulling the wagon behind her as she moved after the angry man, making it her personal goal to track him down again. The squeaking of the wagon’s wheels accompanied her steps which were much lighter now that she was pulling instead of lugging, and the pink haired girl scanned the scenery before her intently; just where had that angry giant run off to?

The fiery tiger stalks its prey in the shadowy jungle. As expected, the boys didn't leave her once she got out her fans. So she spun around and sent a gust of wind at them. The force of the wind sent them flying towards the gate. "I said to leave me alone and you didn't do that. So next I'll make sure you actually get hurt." She told them, claws unsheathed. Just cause she was attractive, doesn't mean she didn't know how to fight. It was quite obvious that Kaemon was done pestering her for now. But the expression on his face said he'd be back. "Now. Where's that map? It's here somewhere..." She asked herself. In a few seconds she saw the map and walked over to it. But out of the corner of her cat eyes she saw a girl talking to...nothing. Or at least nothing that she could see. So curious, she walked up to the girl. "Hey kid. Who are you talking to?" Koneko asked with a smile. She put her fans away and sheathed her claws. She didn't want to seem mean to the girl. As it slowly creeps up silently on the unsuspected victim, the prey is completely unaware of the danger it’s in.
