My mom knew some homeless people that had enough money to get places and just didn't want to. They had a lot of nice things, they just didn't mind sleeping in the woods.
One had some super fancy car that he slept in, I don't recall the make.
I would say most, if not all, hobos (not necessarily the families that have recently been made homeless due to the economy) do some sort of drug or drink.

Lady Psycho Sexy  Wylr's hobo doesn't sound like a hobo at all. Maybe he got kicked out of his girlfriend's house or something and needs some time to make up first and last. *shrug*

Being a hobo is a lot different from being homeless. So, yea, I think he's just homeless. Poor guy. D:

It's pretty easy to tell which hobos are the druggies usually. They seem more desperate for a handout, while non-druggie hobos are willing to take a while to save some money up.
