At least he doesn't have a handlebar mustache, the Titan's Fists commented.
"It depends on if you are found," Sebastian replied. "I have a fairly large mana battery which must be delivered by hand. Shadow demons are watching the Shadow channels, otherwise I'd send it that way. As it is, Rose is hiding in territory dominated by Tyrg... and if they recognize you, you're doomed. And if you lead them to her, you're both doomed."

"Ohhhh." Joe reached into his pocket and pulled out his mana cell, spinning it across the backs of his fingers. "Like a bigger version of this? Cool!" He slid it back into his pocket. "I'd be glad to try it. I can't Shadowstep anyways." He paused. "Can you tell me a bit about the Tyrg though? I know nothing of them." As he spoke, he unconsciously fiddled with the Titan's Fists.

Sebastian stared at Joe's mana battery. It was perhaps a little bigger than two computer mice placed against each other. "Where did you get that?" he asked. He withdrew a mana battery from his pocket; it was a little smaller than a tennis ball.

Joe rubbed the back of his head. "Umm...lemme think. A friend of mine gave it to me, I believe." He shrugged. "Either way, it was a long time ago." He saw the mana battery in Stonehands'...hands. "Is that the one I'm delivering? Cool." He looked up at Stonehands. "So, about those Tyrg?"

Sebastian shook his head. "I've never seen a mana battery that size before. Anyway, Tyrg... Tyrg uses magic-reliant technology. Autoloading mana rounds, thaumaturgic rings that create loaded guns on command, coats that can stop bullets... that sort of thing."

"Oh...is it bigger than usual? I got it for free." With a shrug, Joe moved on. "So they're dangerous. That much was obvious. But from their name, I figured they'd be creatures of some kind. I don't suppose you know what the Zerg are? Ah, never mind." He looked around. "So, where exactly am I headed? And how will I get there?" Joe was a little bit eager to leave; since entering, something had been bothering him. Now he pinpointed it: his Patron was no longer there, hovering like a presence behind him. It was odd. This was likely because this was a Hunter stronghold. Or maybe he was busy. Who knew?

Alan cut you off from the Djinni when we passed through the Shadow dimension he uses. He doesn't need them knowing where we are, the Titan's Fists informed Joe.
"If the Zerg showed up, I supposed we'd have much more use for Illuminati Psychics than we currently have," Sebastian replied with a chuckle. "Anyway, Rose needs the battery within around ten days; she's in New York right now. I'll give you the address when you're ready."

He can do that? That might be bad. Think I'll get back in contact once we leave? He thought for a moment. And hey, how come you got to retain your contact? "Is New York heavy with Tyrg?" Joe asked. "Cause that would kinda make sense..."

First, he trusts me. Second, I'm on your hands. Third, Djinni are crazy ********> the gauntlets pointed out. You should regain contact when you exit.
"New York is pretty much Tyrg's home turf. Rose is one of about seven operatives in there."

...touche. Joe's eyebrow did its customary jump up. "Home turf? That could be tough...do I get some kind of assistance? Got some kind of like, artifact that'll help or something?"

"Nothing will help you," Sebastian answered, "If Tyrg catches you on their turf. The whole point is for you to get in and out unnoticed. You're a virtual unknown to Tyrg; that's why you're good for the job."

"Ohhhh." Joe shuffled a bit. "So, you're telling me that the fact that I'll be carrying two large mana batteries, equipped with the Titan's Fists and acting as the Djinni Avatar...I need to go in stealthy? Hmm...this could be hard. And fun."

"I'd suggest not having either of those things active. Tyrg isn't too good at detecting mana, though, so if you feel very, very brave, go ahead, but... Well, don't lose my battery and don't get my operative killed," Sebastian replied. "It's your job; you choose how it's done."

Joe shrugged. "You don't have to be good at picking it up once I go active. I'm like a beacon in a cave. But OK." Fists, you're with me on this one. That's about all I can afford to use. Joe held out his hand for the battery. "I'm ready to go now."

Sebastian handed over the mana battery and a paper with an address on it; he informed Joe that it was an apartment complex, and the room he wanted was on the twelfth floor.
"Good luck, kid," he said, disappearing into his residence through the ground again.
