Kids' stuff, yeah right. rofl Hate to burst your mom's bubble, but not all anime, mangas, and video games are for kids. Hellsing Ultimate definitely isn't something for the kiddies, that's for sure. My mom had me do a drawing of Alucard for her. xd Even made a couple of AMVs for her.
I'm having to pay for my student loans, though it's not too bad. All that matters to me is that I'm making money and I'm happy.
You're from the Philippines? That's cool. XD I always find foreign people interesting cuz I get to know about their culture and stuff. My grandmother's from Italy.

Indeed, there's a huuuge market of manga and anime out there that are sooo not suitable for kids.. Problem is, a lot of adults seem unable to distinguish the difference. As far as they are concerned, it's Animated=kids stuff.
It's rather a shame, really, that so many people are unable enjoy such things because they are too far stuck in their own stereotypes to bother.

REALLY not for kids, in some cases... Grah.
Yeah, some people just can't accept that some things are different... On the small side, a member of my D&D group is quite the stereotype man. He thinks that clerics get free evil detection and item blessing... He often says that some class "can't" do something... Etc.
I think I've said this before, but I'm from the US. I'm not very proud of my country. SECOND CAREER CHOICE (behind Enigma): Professional Canadian If only that was a job! xd
Great, now I'm depressed and thinking about how all things will end. I'll die, I'll lose all my most valued stuff and my mind, the world will end, etc.
I can't really stand my parents as much as I used to be able to. They don't listen to what I have to say sometimes, they're too quick to blame me or jump to the wrong conclusion, they often disrespect my gaming hobby, I'm the butt of many jokes... At least my dad seems to have given up on me playing basketball or something.

Like with anime, there are other animated stuff that aren't meant for kids like South Park, Family Guy, etc.
Speaking of animated stuff, there's this animated movie...I think it's a movie...I couldn't figure out the name of it. I saw this when I was little. All I could remember was it had a black & white cat with no tail.
@ Evil: *gives a cookie* Let's not get depressed! Let's think happy thoughts!

/agree on wanting to be Canadian.. i'm from England, and right now believe me, it's not that much better than America. Let's all share the cookies and forget about how crappy our countries are!Sirea Angelie Speaking of animated stuff, there's this animated movie...I think it's a movie...I couldn't figure out the name of it. I saw this when I was little. All I could remember was it had a black & white cat with no tail. Could it be this, by any chance? I was forced to watch the english version of it recently for a college casestudy, so it kinda stuck in my mind :p

Yeah, that's it! Thank you so much. ^_^ I've been trying to figure out what the name of that movie was. I did remember that the cat's name was Peter, and that he did get a golden tail at one point.

Er...believe me, the Philippines isn't all that great either. I would, uh...put it at worse than America. sweatdrop Heck, I'm more proud to proclaim that I'm from Guam, which is merely a territory of the U.S. xp
Yeah, EXACTLY. My parents are from the generation that's content with wallowing in the perceptions stereotypes give them. >.<;;

I don't really have much of a problem parent wise with that kind of thing.. i never talk to my stepdad at all since i moved out, seeing as i no longer have to, and my mom's always supportive of my hobbies.. regardless of the fact that i can't talk to her about them, since she knows nothing about gaming, anime, roleplaying or science :'D

I love Canada during all the seasons!! Is it actually colder here for some people?
Who made the stereotype that we live in igloos and ride moose and/or polar bears wherever we go?

As I said earlier, ive been playing MonkeyQuest so ya, thats what its about. I encountered some sort of weird glitch after me and my little bro went through the area.
