((*tsk, tsk, tsk* Naughty voice XD ))

Alexis frowned before her lips thinned to a line. She never thought her father would do just that to Arioch.... To her it seemed impossible because she saw them as impossible to seperate when they were together.

"That's not dad...." She said quietly, now sitting cross-legged. She sensed something occurred to make this happen. "Dad and Arioch splitting up?" She glanced at her window and door. Now she was curious to what happened and why....

Arioch shook his head all the more. "I'll be fine," he murmured, peeking up at her and poking her gently. At least he would try to be fine.

((Well, she IS an Evil Voice....hehe....and she still has animosity towards Song))

Song looked down at him as he spoke, feeling the poke to her stomach. She couldn't help the fact that her gaze was a mix of pity, sympathy, hurt, and worry. She worried deeply......no, she was frightened. This event gave her so much to be scared of.....fears that she would keep quiet.

".....Do you want time to yourself?" She asked hesitantly. She didn't want to leave him alone...but she wanted to make him feel better, somehow.

Jealousy watched Alexis frown. Hearing her words only furthered the assumption she made that she wouldn't really believe it. She stretched herself out with a rather happy yawn, her cheeks still aglow from the negativity in the air.

"Might have something to do with that demon woman that I heard Song vent about......I can guess that Arioch's little shield on his precious pet didn't work out as well as he had hoped." For someone who knew very little of what Song had seen, she was rather intuitive and the ever-observant listener. Some things just couldn't escape her.

Alexis' gaze snapped to her friend's and it was a look of one who wasn't joking.

"Now I know something happened...."

She even leapt up from her perch and ran out of her room, moving swiftly to her uncle's side. "Uncle Arioch!"

Arioch glanced in the direction of his niece before he could reply to Song. His look was one that wasn't him.

"Uncle..." Alex knelt down beside him. "Uncle what happened to my father?"

Arioch raised a brow. What happened to her father? Arioch found himself laughing at the absurd question then wondered how she would know anything happened to him.

Song looked up to see Alexis come down to them. She addressed Arioch as her eyes looked upon the girl blankly. Hearing her question just made all of the supressed feelings surge forth. Hearing Ariochs hollow laugh just made it worse.

"Your father.....broke the bond between them. He wanted them severed...." She spoke flatly and simply, not wanting to say the words that screamed through her mind like a recording.

Jel looked up at Alexis with a look that showed she was neither playing nor kidding around....in fact, she was quite serious and enjoying this with all evil intent. She followed the succubus and stood away from the huddled couple and the curious girl. She caught Songs eyes and flashed a malicious grin. She waited now.....waited for a perfect chance to get what she wanted from the muse.

Alexis stared at the muse. She shook her head.

"He wouldn't have done so unless something occurred to make him do him so...Something happened..."

She eyed her uncle who she knew wasn't saying anything. She thought he knew what happened, what was wrong. "Uncle...."

Arioch smiled, some of the old demon sparking back in his gaze. The old cruelty that was there.

Alexis wasn't fooling around as she wanted answers and no one was giving them to her. "Uncle what happened to my father?"

He just smiled still before he found a slender hand across his face. He snarled and launched himself, tackling Alexis to the ground and hovering above her. "How the hell should I know?" He snapped.

Alexis laid there, glaring up at him. "Because he would have said something to you..."

Song watched Alexis warily, wishing she'd take the hint and silence herself about Joe for now. She didn't, though, and pushed Arioch to the limit. She jumped when the girl slapped him, then gasped when Arioch suddenly launched at her and tackled her down.

She stood and rushed to Arioch, her hands on his shoulders firmly as she began to sing the song that she often used to calm others down when they went crazy....such as Jel. She just hoped it would have an effect on him and she could move him away from Alexis before he snapped completely.

Jealousy was enjoying the show for a moment....until Arioch tackled Alexis down. She growled and moved quickly to the succubus' side, ready to tear the demon a new a** or two if he even made so much as a twitch to hurt her. She watched as Song worked her magic, glad it wasn't directed at her for once.

Arioch was oblivious to the two women as he stared at his niece. Deep inside, what she said rang true...he knew the answer but it wasn't coming to him as he would have liked.

When Jealousy moved to aid the succubus, a deep warning growled from his own throat as he warned the voice.

Alexis breathed steadily, not the least bit afraid of her uncle. She stared at him unphased but simply lying there. She listened to Song's voice but knew her uncle wasn't going to harm her. She just knew....if Arioch wanted her father back it was the simple matter that harming her wasn't going to fix anything....

I am terribly bored and I have no idea of Song's or Arioch's exact powers.

Unable to fall deeper into desperation than he had, he had used all that was available to him to call for Arioch's help. It hadn't occured to him that he was no longer Arioch's servant, nor that Arioch may not be able to hear him even if he was still his servant. It hadn't mattered to him when he called for help, nor had it mattered that there may be a cost attached to the help Arioch would offer him.

Arioch frowned at Alexis, that cruelity he was capable of flickering his golden gaze.

Alexis just stared at him, her breathing regulated as she kept calm. "Now what uncle? Are you really going to let me get hurt? If I get hurt by your hands, it lessens your chance in getting my father back..."

The demon growled softly. It was then Joe's voice penetrated his skull, his mind. Arioch stared forward to the unseen voice. Another low snarl rumbled in his chest, spilling from his lips before he'd left Alexis and went for the door, swinging it open and already taking flight.

Alexis' heart stilled as she watched the sudden turn about in events. She sat up slowly, watching the door. She was unharmed, not even really startled. Her lips thinned. "He knows something is wrong..."

((This actually provides me with a better springboard for Song and Jels little exchange))

Ariochs resistance only made the muse try harder. She kept it up until she sensed a call. Something....or someone....was calling to Arioch. She had a strong inkling that it was Joe, having it only confirmed by the speed at which Arioch suddenly exited. She didn't know why he was being called to, she only knew it held a desperate air around it. She watched him leave, having a strong feeling that she couldn't do anything to help....and shouldn't.

Song sighed heavily and suddenly felt very ashamed of herself. Hugging her arms across her chest, she turned and headed back towards Ariochs room with the intent to dress in the rest of her clothes.

Jealousy raised an eyebrow to the demons growling. "I'm trying to protect my friend from getting hurt, and I'm greeted with hostility? Feh.....heartless b*****d." She snorted before he up and ran off. So....the incubus was calling him. Joy. She looked over to Alexis when she spoke, shrugging her shoulders. "Probably....but I'm pretty sure he can handle it. They need to kiss and make up and, maybe, whatever this is will get them to do just that."

She then noticed the somberness that took over the muse. Looking to Song, she caught the ominous thoughts she held within her, a rather dark grin appearing. She helped her friend up to her feet, then walked after Song, intending to extract whatever she could from her.

"You hate him, don't you?" Jealousy let the words snake from her lips in that low, drolling tone she used when she wanted to intensify the negativity. "You know you can't hide it from me.....I feel your venom.....that you despise him for taking him away."

Song halted in her tracks when Jealousy's words reached her ears. She turned to face the demoness, the expression on her face blank to hide the turmoil she was feeling......but the words that the Voice spat out at her were encouraging it forward. She shivered a bit as she felt the emotions clawing, wanting release.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." She simply stated, looking into the wine-yellow eyes of her housemate defiantly.

To that, Jealousy threw her head back and laughed cruelly, coldly, and laced with as much venom and spite as she could muster. She drank up the denial, letting it tinge her cheeks with that glorious glow of power. Her mirth continued for what seemed like minutes until she suddenly snapped out of it. She surged forward and snatched Song up by the collar of her shirt, pulling her nose to nose with her.

"How long do you think you can lie to yourself and others?" She hissed to her, "You can't deny this.....the hatred you feel. You despise him for taking his heart first....for claiming it before you could...and for having such a strong hold that, even through your promises, it pulls him to him." She leaned close to Songs ear and even went so far as to give it a lick. "You hate feeling second place......and being pushed away."

She suddenly grabbed Songs left hand and brought it up, turning it so that she could see what she wanted her to. "You see this? This precious ring of yours? It means nothing now. The meaning is lost.....and I'm wondering if it even had any meaning to it at all." She spoke in that nasty way that just oozed with evil.

Song flinched as Jealousy laughed in that vicious way, finding that it made her stomach slightly ill. She yelped when the demoness suddenly came forward and yanked her up to her face. The words she whispered only made the sick feeling in her stomach grow more intense, the evil emotions inside of her clawing hard at her restraints against them. Still, she fought them back brilliantly, not wanting to let them take over.......or to give Jealousy any power over her.

However, when she brought the ring to face her and spoke the things she dreaded to think about, she would lose it. She shoved hard into Jealousy's chest to get away from yer, yanking her hand back to cradle it like a hurt child. Her eyes glassed over with tears as she looked frightfully upon the demoness.

"No! You're lying! Nothing has changed, you hear me?! NOTHING!" She shrieked, clutching her ring-bearing hand to her chest as she fell to her knees. The hot tears that stung her eyes now flowed freely down her cheeks. "It changes nothing......it doesn't, damnit! I'm still wanted......still important..."

She couldn't stay in the room any longer. Forcing all of her strength forward, she surged to her feet and ran for Ariochs room, shutting the door and leaning against it to protect herself from being assailed by the Voice's goading. They were lies......all lies.......weren't they?

Doubt was her worst enemy....and it was attacking her with full force now. She sank to the floor and cried, muffling her sobs with her skirt that she picked up so that no one could hear her.

Jealousy was taken aback, to say the least. She had never expected the muse to have such strength to push her back with such a force. She rubbed her chest, feeling it sting where the muse had shoved. She drank up the voiced denial and the doubt that seeped from every word and breath. It was intoxicating. She watched as Song ran away from her, a smile on her face.

"If nothing has changed, then why are you crying?" She asked, even though she knew Song couldn't hear her. She shut her eyes, letting the treat of negativity sink in and course through her blood so that she could calm down. She hadn't reached an evil high like that in a long time.

Alexis looked over her shoulder before she followed behind. She only caught the last bit of what Jealousy said and Alexis found herself frowning all the harder.

Granted, she herself never understood love and never would, but she amongst her mother and great-grandfather knew what Arioch was like.

Alex perched herself against the wall near the room her uncle usually stayed in.

"Jealousy..." It was in the succubus' voice that the warning was in, just in the slight pitch of her voice.

Raven shifted in her bed. She was feeling restless now, after sleeping and resting the hours away since she had 'fed' Joe...Of course now she was unaware of all the commotion outside until she heard the door close.

That was when she left her bed and hurried to her door before she realized she was barely clothed from before her grandfather came in. Of course she had dressed before he came but now she felt too under dressed.

So she dressed herself in simple jeans and a shirt that was off the shoulder but in a wine color that deepened and enhanced the color of her eyes. Her tail swished a little as she walked to the door again and left her room. She still wasn't in a condition to physically fight but she still had her tongue.

She glanced up to see the voice and her daughter and raised a brow as to question what had happened and what was going on.

Alexis spotted her mother from the corner of her eye and looked to her from her friend. "Apparently Uncle Arioch just broke down after Father decided to break from him and then suddenly left and now Jealousy's taunting Song..."

She explained quickly.

Raven's expression went to one of being unimpressed before she went to Arioch's door and knocked on it. "Song...?" She said softly. She wasn't going to be defied in her own home...

Elric reached over and plucked a blossom from it's bed and cleansed it of the dirt there. He then took the flower and placed it in Zaro's hair, tucking it in and arranging the girl's hair so it looked good and framed her face.

Zaro's breath was caught as she allowed the emperor to do as he pleased but she was a little confused by how he behaved. It wasn't the king she heard rumors about. It looked like him, but his behavior just didn't add up in her head.

He just gave a small smile. He knew of the rumors about him, the tall tales and everything. But he was still an outcast with even the people he had ruled over...

The high came down rather quickly when she caught the tone in her friends voice. She opened her eyes to look at the succubus, finding a frown appear on her own lips. Then she remembered that Alexis had never truly seen this side of her.......the side that was Jealousy, the sadistic emotion that ravaged the hearts of many, and took such pleasure in it that she glowed with the power it brought. Now the glow in her cheeks faded, but the vibrant color of her skin remained. She felt offended, in the sense that the succubus seemed to be hypocritical to the Voices nature. Of course, she'd never seen this......so she couldn't really feel that offended.

"She called to me....what else could I do?" She shrugged slightly and sighed heavily, shaking her head. She then saw Raven, which made her silence completely. She didn't say anything more to either of them, but rather chose to walk away. Where she headed, she didn't care for the moment. She just had an inkling that neither of them would be welcoming to her for a bit. So, she would wander about until things settled. She knew she had caused a bit of a mess. In situations like this, it was best to make ones self scarce until calm took over again. So, she headed down a randomly picked hallway, staring at the floor as she walked.

Song had had a brief moment to compose herself, having finally stopped her tears long enough to get fully dressed. Her skirt still had damp spots, but she didn't care. She heard a knock and then Ravens familiar voice calling her name. She opened the door fully for her, facing her with her amethyst eyes slightly reddened from her tears. She felt tired, emotionally. She looked up at the wolfess with a soft, yet blank expression.

"Yes, Raven?" She asked quietly, her voice slightly cracking from her crying.

Alexis sighed... She was only annoyed simply because Jealousy said stuff about her uncle that the voice wouldn't know for certain. She shuffled away to find the kitchen where, just like daddy, she made a cup of strong coffee and was sipping at it.

Raven studied the muse for a moment, recalling vaguely how she had helped her spirit when it had been badly wounded from Joe. She knew the familiar tears and didn't at all buy the blank look, even if it was a defense Raven herself used.

So she tried to refrain from being hypocritical...

"I know how you feel about Joe....probably in more ways then you can understand..." Raven's eyes went to the sympathetic look but was mingled with a mother's need to protect. Song was hurt and Jealousy had hurt her in Raven's home.. Raven knew the familiarity of jealousy and hatred....
PostPosted: Sat Jun 30, 2007 2:13 am

Song looked up to Raven, seeing a strong woman in place of the emotionally fragile person she had helped so long ago. She watched her, listening to the words she spoke and the things held in her eyes. Her shame only increased and she looked to the floor, still clutching her ring-bearing hand to her chest as if she were afraid to let it go.

"If I could banish these feelings, I would in a heartbeat..." She said, knowing that Raven would understand. "Between everything that's happened, I feel like a hypocrite. I agreed to share Arioch with him.....and I didn't think that I had a problem with that........but......"

She had to swallow hard, then, fighting back another crying fit.

"I know I have no right to feel this way...."

Jealousy felt as though the house suddenly became too small for her to fit. She sighed and made to find a way outside. Once out, and not caring where she was exactly, she sat herself upon the ground and picked up a random flower. She looked it over before plucking at its petals slowly.

Did she mean to be that cruel to Song? Honestly, no....but she had taken whatever her starving dark soul could get. She did feel some contempt for the muse, since she had ignored her for weeks on end and didn't even seem to care. But, she didn't mean to really be so hurtful. She couldn't undo it, though, so she would let it smooth over before she made another appearance. For now, she stayed outside and away from those that she hurt, annoyed, or defied.

Raven ushered the muse back inside the room and closed the door with her foot. She seated her down on the bed and even joined her there, a look of pure understanding on her face.

"You have every right...Everyone has the right to feel everything, even hatred at times. Some just feel it more then others."

Raven sighed a little before tunneling her hand through her own thick black curls. "To be honest....I should be jealous of you...Arioch returns your love. If he didn't, he would never have given you that ring. And Joe isn't easy to share....no man ever is when a woman loves him..."

She gave a teeny smile. "I love Joe...so much it hurts for me to even look at him sometimes. I can't stand even the scent of another woman on him but it's something out of my control. He's an incubus..a pure incubus..."

She did look to Song, really looking at her. "Arioch loves you....he really does."

Elric turned his attention away from Zaro and Andras, his ear twitching as he listened to newcomer to the gardens. He glanced to the dragon and bird and smiled a little. "Apparently we have company." He said before turning around to investigate this newcomer.

His tail swished behind him as he walked, the cape on his shoulders swirling as he walked. Even the white wavey length of his hair bounced a little with his movement as he quietly came to observe Jealousy.

"Who is this that rivals my own?" He questioned softly. His eyes, that looked like Raven's shimmered with mild curiousty and soft warmth that could easily turn to emptiness...
