Nyx continued forward, glancing around. Were pokemon afraid of them after having captured one already and killed two? It was somewhat dark in this forest and the rings on the Umbreon let off a faint light. The dark pokemon felt weary though, wondering what would pop out next. He wasn't afraid, but this time he wasn't going to mess around either.Kyo saw the serious expression on the Umbreon's face and wondered if he was missing something. An ear flicking slightly to try and catch all the sounds, he couldn't sense anything nearby. It didn't mean that there wasn't anything. It could be hidden deep below the ground, in the trunks of the trees and other places. The Zangoose let his claws slide out, prepared to fight anything that popped out. Kai looked frustrated since the Thundershock didn't even seem to affect the pokemon. If anything, it didn't seem to care at all. What was wrong with it? Soaring slightly, he dove towards the left, hoping to avoid any incoming attacks. (13-11) + (9- cool = 3 DMG Kyou's ruse had worked but at a price. The Stantler's teeth latched onto a lower part of the Charmander's tail. He let out a snarl of pain and then gathered the energy towards him angrily. The energy surged the waves coming strongly. The lizard pokemon narrowed his blue gaze as he shot the blast, aiming to push the Stantler away from him and dislodging the teeth pressed against his tail before too much damage was made!

It wasn't fear that held them off, it was knowledge and wisdom. They weren't traveling alone, they were traveling in pairs as the Omanyte that saw them tries to sunk deeper into the earth ....it had no wish to fight two pokemon, one fully evolved and the other ...well a Zangoose only had one moral foe for a reason. There weren't many pokemon crazy enough to take the call as it tries to stay out of sight.

The Stantler stomp one of his hooves ...as he spat out the little bit of flesh. He had blood on his teeth and he smiled showing off the red. He was ready for whatever came next ...as he looked for an attack that would come from his opponent with an almost smug look on his face ...as he wave his horns in a gesture that couldn't be confused as anything but a taunt.

Once more the Anorith would simply not bother with the Emolga's attack. His shell would begin to shimmer as he lazily watched the rodent fly about. He was once more using Harden, making his body sturdy rather then forming any sort of actual assault.  Anorith [M]

As Nyx continued forward, he relaxed. There was nothing wrong with this forest. Besides nothing seemed to be popping out either. He glanced upward at the leaves and then glanced at the Zangoose. ["Hey, you!"] he remarked, before taking off running and leaping up into the air. At last minute, he bit down on one of the branches before calmly falling back down and landing on all four paws. There was a bunch of leaves on the ground, but there was also his bite mark on one of the branches. ["How about our next contest be who can leap higher?"] The Umbreon then smirked at the other pokemon. ["Unless you're afraid of course."] The taunt was made and it was up to the Zangoose to make the final decision. The Umbreon was having his fun, either way. The Zangoose had been walking alert. There was noise and he whipped around, just in time to see the Umbreon latch onto a branch of the tree. The pokemon resisted the urge of rolling his eyes and then the dark pokemon began talking. This sounded like a really childish game that he didn't want to play. The Umbreon must've known because he added a taunt knowing that it would make Kyo mad. Kyo began running on all fours and then jumped up. Soon his claw marks were visible on a branch slightly higher then the Umbreon's. ["Your move. Let's see what you can do."] he stingingly retorted. The black and gold pokemon didn't seem fazed at all when the Zangoose leapt higher then he did. What was the fun in winning so easily? A good challenger made this competition even better. The Umbreon glanced around once and then noticed that Jade was now in front of them. He brushed past the boy and then picked out a good tree. Pushing off as hard as he could with all of his paws, he shot upward. This time, his branch was a lot higher then the last one from the Zangoose. Oh, this was getting easier by the second. ["Let's see you fly."] The trickster remarked while moving to stand beside of Jade. He would turn to watch the Zangoose once the pokemon made it's move. The Zangoose saw that the competition was getting a bit more serious then expected. This time, the Umbreon hadn't held back at all. Good. It was only fun when an opponent was completely serious. Otherwise one's full potential wasn't exposed. Kyo saw that Nyx was next to Jade which was good. They should never let their foolish games leave the boy in any danger. He backed up a couple steps and then lunged forward. Digging into the ground right before the leap, he then pushed off. It was close, so close! The Zangoose was only barely above the Umbreon's mark as he landed. Barely was still a win. The Umbreon would really have to use at least a hundred percent effort or more! It would happen all at once, as the Umberon bunched his legs to get ready for the jump ...a blue head would shot out of the foliage. Mouth open, though it was hard to think that such an attack could happen ....this pokmeon that had been resting peacefully in the roots of the tree had head enough of the nonsense as the Tirtouga moves to make them disappear, literally.
Water would spray out as she used water gun ...aimed at the Umbreon.

Nyx had been prepared to jump when he spotted something in the tree. He was already up in the air so there wasn't much room for him to dodge. There was water being shot directly at him and so he had to think of a solution quickly. The trees in the forest were pretty close together. An idea formed as he aimed to push off the tree's trunk to add speed to his dodge! The Zangoose was debating whether to help defend the Umbreon. This opponent didn't seem too hard, on the other hand the trickster was better at defending then attacking. If the battle took a toll for the worse, he would step in. (17 - 8 + 9 - 14 = 4dmg - water gun is a special attack - which is subtracted by your special defense)
The move would slam into him and send him away ....as the Tirtouga would smirk a bit. She had managed to get him a little bit on her own ...as she would shuffle out from underneath the tree as she stood ready for battle. She would hunker closer to the ground in her own defense as she wrapped her flippers around her face.

(Shouldn't it be 3 damage? Nyx's defense is 15, not 14.) The Umbreon had been taken by surprise but the water did manage to push him up against the tree trunk. Sliding down it to the bottom, he landed with a plop. Shaking himself slightly, the water droplets flew through the air. Water was not something he liked to be shot with. Seeing that the only defense that the pokemon seemed to use was it's flippers, he pushed forward aiming to slam into his opponent with a Tackle attack!Kyo smirked as the attack actually hit the Umbreon. So the trickster wasn't always as good as he bragged about. At the same time, the attack wasn't as strong as he pictured it. Nyx was strong as well so it wasn't a surprise that he was fine. (-1 to attack rolls, and no it's 4, because, water gun is a special attack which is subtracted by your special defense which is 14)
The attack would bounce off of it's shell ....as the turtle would flip out her fins to send the pokemon bouncing off. Her eyes narrowed ...so not only did this pokemon disturb her rest, but then it has decided it wanted to pick a fight with her.
She saw no reason why not to make this end quickly now ...as she would open her maw wide once more ....and send out rushing water. She would drown that stupid fox to death, and that was only because she didn't feel the need to slam him with her own strength so far.

(Oh okay. You're right.) The Umbreon hadn't managed to hit his opponent yet. His last attack had been pathetic. Irritated, he glared at the turtle pokemon. The Tirtouga kept spitting that stupid water at him! The Umbreon planned to hope he was fast enough to run away from the stream of water. He didn't like getting wet at all! Kyo saw that the Umbreon wasn't doing too well in this battle. The water attack that was heading towards his partner looked pretty strong. The Zangoose realized that he wasn't going to stay out of this battle any longer. He darted forward on all fours racing towards the Umbreon. Neither of their interferences would matter as once more the Umbreon found himself soaked by the attack. The water catching him in the face as the pokemon smirked dangerously. She was enjoying this afterall, she was trying to show them the door and it seemed that the Umbreon still wasn't getting the point. The suddenly intrusion of the Zangoose though made her narrow her eyes as she took her flipper and started to hit the ground with them ....she knew it was always best to be ready, and as the sound carried, she knew it would call him. Her mate, and since, they wanted to fight and help each other in pairs it only made sense that she would want the same thing ....as she hunkers down once more in defense with her flipper in front of her face ....as her mate would soon be arriving.
(Nyx's hp should be 15 at this point.)
