Those are some long messages!

You're school systems sound so much better than my high school. My high school was the worst in california (so I've heard), we didn't have any special gold cards or anything like that. Wow, both of you are smart. In high school I got A-B's and the occassional C from math and chemistry. I only had one AP class for my junior and senior years. No nutrition? That has to suck, I loved nutrition. My high school went like this, 1-2 period, nutrition, 3-4, lunch, 5-6 period. My high school colors were red and white, we didn't use our cafeteria though, we all ate outside, I guess that's the beauty of living in southern california it rarely rains. It was an outside school, it never snows here and only rains every few months or so. It's warm and sunny most of the time.

Starting june 22nd I have to take college algebra at my local community college on mon and wed 6-915 pm. It's going to be so boring being in a math class that long.

Next semester, I'm taking.

Political science 100
Sociology 415
Spanish 301 B
Psychology 220
VSAR 222

and maybe

Anthropology 301

not sure if I'm going to take that one though. Anyways, Kitsune my pediatrician thought I had cysts in my ovaries because I was exhibiting all of the symptoms.

The male pattern of hair, irregular periods, weight gain, increased testosterone. Turns out I was normal, the hairyness (from the Spanish) runs in my family, irregular periods were fixed by birth control, weight gain still from birth control.

I'm taking long walks with my boyfriend and eating less junk and going hiking soon. I can see that I'm starting to lose weight.

Lucky about the cheese, I'm lactose intolerant so I can't touch any dairy products with a ten foot stick. One sip of milk and I'm gone. It makes me depressed because I love Ice cream and I can never eat it. Cheese I was never fond of and milk neither.

My little cousin is graduating from high school this thursday and I'm so happy for her, I'll be able to see my old high school again.

Sadly after high school, I lost contact with almost all of my friends. One friend M, our friendship ended badly because I had a relationship with her (I'm bi btw),
never have a relationship with a friend, it ruins the friendship after the breakup!
I only have my best friend Lex and my boyfriend joe and the ocassional other friends from high school. Lex is super outgoing and extrovert so she knows tons of people and I go with her to hang out with people and kick it with them. She's a party girl so that's the only time where I go to party. Its not that I don't like it, but I'm an introvert and its harder for me to talk to people. Unless well I can't talk about it in this guild, its against the rules of conduct.

I hung out with lex and 3 guys, one is super tall almost 7 feet, the others are normal..if you can call it that.

I call my teachers professors, in high school it was Mr. Smith or Mrs. Smith.

WB hobamoo!

I wish our school systems were like yours Kistune, I wish I was done with my general. I still have 3 classes to take and I will be done with gen ed, then on to my counseling major!

Kitsune, you have very good english! I wish I knew a foreign language as well as you did (another bad thing about US system), spanish I am fluent only because it is part of my culture. I'm mexican-american but I usually speak spanglish, I don't speak normal spanish and normal english. Can you tell with my posts? I make bad grammatical mistakes.

Yours wasn't on the short side either Para! But long messages is awesome.

We had nutrition in Junior High for one year. Well, it's not exactly nutrition. It was more like cooking, though we learned a lot about nutrition in those classes as well. If I wanted to have a nutrition subject, I'd have to have taken a Vocational program area called "Restaurant and food processing".

It's funny how in America your system changes everywhere. Here it is the same in every school. The only difference between the schools is which education programs they offer and what optional suject they offer on the schools that has General Studies programs.

Here it is three High schools within the commune, and you choose which one to attend depending on what education program you wish to take. If they don't have a high school or the education program in the near vicinity, you have to move from your parents house and live in a small apartment. If you do that, you can get about 8000 dollars from the county commune each year. And you don't have to pay it back.

It's way too cold to eat outside here most of the year... I live in the Northern part of Norway, which means lots of snow from October to April. Not to mention no sun at all from late October to early Marsh.... So I envy you for that!

Why do you have to take college algebra at your community college? And lucky you for having some good subjects there!

I believe when I'm starting university in two years, I'll take Japanese, English, Latin and Philosophy. At least that's what I've decided for now. But then again, a lot of things can change in two years! biggrin And I need to take more subjects. I want to eventually have a PhD degree in English. That'd be awesome!

You should get your hands on a birth controll pill such as Yasmin that has no testosterone and have a lot of estrogen. It really helps on the hairgrowth!

Also without testosterone, the weight gain won't be as severe...

That's really good that you're loosing weight! In my opinion we Ravenclaws may have an easier time gaining weight. Those books are just way better than sports in my opinion. biggrin

Wow. That is.. Annoying. Like s**t. A friend of the family told us that a friend of hers had Diabetes and been been alergic to flour. I wonder what the man can actually eat. A friend of my mum is also very lactose intolerant... He bought a type of fish candy, thinking that this doesn't have any milk in it when he went to the cinema. Had to leave the movie because he got so sick.. Seems they had some sort of milk sugar in them.

...You should invent milk-less ice cream. You'd be rich!

That's great! biggrin Graduating and all. Wish we had such a fancy cermony when we graduate as you guys do!

..Our dog is going crazy at the moment. Means my mum is coming home.

Aww... That's sad... Luckily I doubt I'll lose contact with my two best friends in class. One I won't be seeing much, seeing as how she's moving back to Denmark in August. The other is living right next to us, so losing her would be quite hard.

Yeah. I've heard all about the relationship with a friend tragedies... It's sad, really sad..

I'm really introvert as well. I keep to my small group of friends and that's it. I feel really awkward trying to talk to other people.

Wow. I know of a guy who is 7 feet tall. He was like a big brother to me when we were little.

We call our teachers by their first names. No titles or no surname. Heck, I don't even know the surname of most of my teachers.

Yuuuup.. I only have half of my generals left. Then they're gone! Smart teachers to have fixed it with fifteen hours of optional subjects during the last two years instead of the first two.. It'd drive me nuts to go my third year and only have the general subjects.

Thank you! I do try. We've been learning English since first grade actually, so I think my English skills is what should be expected of us... But unfortunatly, it isn't. Not everyone has such an interest in the English language as me.

Ah, if I'd taken Spanish, I'd ask you for help. I seriously need help with my French. The teacher and I don't exactly get along... Actually no one likes her. There's horror stories going around the school about her. Sad thing is, most of them are true.

I think your English is very good! Better than over half of Gaia! But then again, it isn't hard to have better English than half of Gaia, so that doesn't really say anything, does it?

Another random question (How I love those): What are you doing this summer vacation?

What kind of dog do you have? I have a toy poodle, his name is rudolph, he's such a big chicken like you don't believe.

I wish I had taken a cooking class it sounds like fun. Well school changes from state to state and in the state from counties and counties. My mom even wishes that our public school system was like it is in Europe. I'm happy that it's not very cold here, the coldest it gets is maybe 40 degrees faranheit in winter. It doesn't snow ever, maybe hail in a summer thunder storm and that melts right away.

I have to take a college algebra during summer because I'm bad at math and don't want to take it during fall or spring semester. Its for my general education program at the university. Japanese is harder than it looks trust me, I took it but its fun to learn new words though, especially I could pay attention to anime better. Latin, well I have never taken it, but if you know latin you can know all the romance languages.

I actually should take italian because my family is taken a trip to Rome next summer, I at least have to know where the bathroom is and where my hotel is. I'm so excited, its my first trip out of the american continent. The only place I have gone to is Cancun down in the gulf of mexico.

Sorry I took so long! I had exams and stuff. But I have to say, this rambling on here got me ready for the long and short answer questions on my English exam. And who says being on the computer isn't good for you? wink

I think this one might just beat the world record...well, let's see...

Kitsune, you've never heard of The Newlywed Game?! Dang, you Norwegians are missing out! It's like, they ask people who are newly married questions about anything from their personalities to their sex lives, and then the other spouse has to try and match their answers. It's just a test basically to see if they know each other well after only being married a little while. But it's really funny a lot of the time with some of the questions and answers these people come up with.

I am allowed to watch in there, but it's more like I have to get in there an hour before the show I wanna watch comes on just so I can claim the TV until that one's over. But my parents are always like "You have a TV in your room, go watch in there." But the show I wanna watch, I don't get the channel in my room. But I rebuke and say "You have a TV in the kitchen, go watch in there." But they're always like "We're not watching in the kitchen, you watch in your room. We'll record it so you can watch it later." It gets quite annoying, it's like I have to form to their schedule even when I just wanna watch one show, and they watch TV all night. And we also have a Wii in the living room, but I'm not allowed to use it when my parents are on TV. I used to have a PS1 in my room, but we got rid of that. So I have no games really in my room...but my parents were thinking of putting the DVD player in my room because they never use it, they're always recording movies from TV and watching them from the DVR (or Digital Video Recorder). But I have a lot more DVDs that I watch on a regular basis, and because they always kick me out of the living room, I have to watch them with the DVD player on my computer. But my computer's dying, so I might not have it for much longer.

Awww...I've never heard of either of those breeds, but if he looks like a dot of cotton, that must be adorable. Aw, I love cats. I want to get one, but my mom's allergic and my dad's not an animal person at all. I have to wait until I have my own place. Eight? Wow, a lot of fish too, huh? I used to have a goldfish...but it was from the fair, so it died in like, 2 days.

Well, yeah, but I'm guessing that if it's hard to become pregnant, people will just stop trying after a while. But it's good that the metamorfin helps. Yeah, I wouldn't be ready either...I can't even get a tampon in without it hurting like hell...one more reason I'm scared to death to have sex.

Hm, wow. I never knew that that many people actually have it...when you think about it, 20% is a fairly big chunk of people.

Well, yeah...my best friend has it, but she's always depressed. I thought that's what it meant...until she set me straight and said that ADD just means she has the attention span of a 6 year old and she can't concentrate when she's not medicated. I get it now, haha.

Oh, that's good. How embarrassing would that be to have the hairy back of a man? Well, it's good that the medication is working. I probably couldn't handle having PCOS...I'm embarrassed enough as it is.

Why were you taking 4 pills?! I'm not an expert on this, but usually you shouldn't take more than 2 of ANY kind of pill everyday.

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I used to be really irregular when I first started. I'd get a little when I'm supposed to, then with no warning and completely off schedule, I'd get a huge flow. That can be annoying, I know.

I was always close with my mom. She's divorced from my biological father (the one I've been talking about is my step-dad, but I call him dad outside of the house because it's shorter), so I spent a lot of time with her...or at least when she was home. I also lived with my grandparents, so I was close with them too. But ever since my mom got married, she's been so different...she's been acting a lot more like him every day. And I didn't even like him to begin with, but she said that it was her life and she'd marry who she wanted to. I know I was only 9, but I didn't have a say whatsoever. She just said that I'll learn to like him in time. Ha! Like that'll happen. I swear if she didn't marry him, I wouldn't be complaining as much about all this stuff.

Yeah, it was. I was very "puffy" as my mom put it. But now, with a new pill, my mom can feel the bones in my wrists and ankles, so we know this one isn't causing as much weight gain. But it causes hunger, which will cause weight gain. I apparently can't win either way.

Yeah. I just had to do gym makeups this morning. I walked to school, walked 15 laps around the field house (or the gym), walked around the school for like, 15 minutes, did my exam, then walked home. So I'm sure all the crap I ate (and by crap I mean a Monster and 2 Pop-Tarts sweatdrop ) should be partly burned up by now. Well, I learned that when you have diabetes, it's either severe weight GAIN or weight LOSS. My doctor says it's hard for people with diabetes to lose weight, but easy to gain it. I think it depends on the type you have.

Haha. I live in a big city. No forests or anything around here. Just a park, but it's only a block from my house. If I wanna walk for 10 hours, I'd be in the next city.

I don't like riding in cars with no destination. I get car sick and motion sickness. So that's why if my parents say they're going for a ride, I usually stay home, because when they go for a ride, it takes forever and they aren't going anywhere specific. I feel very whoosy when they do that.

Yeah, it is pretty much all grease. But I've been eating it all my life, I'm used to it. Although I'm not the biggest fan of the pizza at school. Me and my friends are always dabbing off the grease with a napkin, and even then we won't eat it sometimes. Fast food I've grown to love, actually...but I'm more of a Subway, Jimmy John's, of Cousins' fan. Subs are better for you than burgers anyway. I love Taco Bell too. Those Volcano burritos are amazing...and since they're spicy, it spikes your immune system. Plus it makes your nose run and sweats off the germs when you have a cold. I had my first one when I had a cold, and my nose was cleared up by the next day.

It is really unhealthy...but you know us Americans. We take good taste over health anyday. But sometimes it gets to be too much. But if you're used to it like I am, usually it's okay.

I was 10 when I got my first period. And it was right before me and my mom had to go to a meeting with my 5th grade teacher (because I was switching schools). That sucked...I had cramps right away, and we had to make a pit stop at the store to get some pads.

Well, no, not really. The parent has to bring them in at the beginning of the year and give the okay for you to have it when you need it. My mom brought in some Ibeprofen and gave it to the office and instructed the secretary that I can have 2 every 6 hours as needed. They can't just give you medicine willy-nilly though. They don't want to be responsible if you have an allergic reaction to them or something.

Oh, yeah, I believe it. Some of my friends didn't believe it could be that bad though, since they didn't have theirs until 7th grade. But once they got it, they understood. Although their's still weren't as bad as mine. And when I told them I was on the pill, they thought I "did it" regularly. -rolls eyes- They were so immature back then.

Oh yeah. I got out of swimming in gym a couple times because I had it and I couldn't use a tampon.

That's what my best friend said. But she believes that her way is the best way. She refuses to listen to me when I tell her that just because she's in the medical field doesn't mean she knows everything. But she does admit that it's better than a bunch of other people she's seen before.

Yeah, exactly. My mom tells that to my face, yet she makes me do her way, which is obviously not helping much. I wish she would see that, and maybe try something different. She always tells me to be open to change, and yet she's not open to change when it comes to my eating habits. She'll change for hers and her husband's, but not mine. It makes me so mad sometimes.

Yeah, I used to be horrible. But ever since I went on the pill, I've been much better. Now my parents just think I'm depressed since they know the pill's helping my moods. It's so annoying when they just give me random hugs because I don't smile for no reason. I just look at them with a straight face when they're talking to me, not even angry or sad looking, and they automatically think I'm depressed. UGH! I'm allowed to not smile or laugh if something's not funny, aren't I?

Probably because they think I was purposely being in a bad mood every day. They thought it was my choice, not my period, since that was the time when they didn't know how bad it could get. I would just tell them that I was in a bad mood, and they were like "It can't be THAT horrible." But it was, and now they understand that.

I never knew they had different kinds of wheat...but yeah, ours is dark. But I've still never heard of oats flour. But maybe I can find some somewhere.

Haha I never even bother with the health stuff when my mom makes homemade bread. It's always banana bread, and sometimes she puts chocolate chips in it. I know it's horrible carb and calorie wise, so I won't even go there.

I've never had that...maybe I'll try it. I don't like chicken as much as fish, but it's alright. I hate turkey though. Definitely not my favorite dish at Thanksgiving. I just don't like that it's dry. And I know you're supposed to put gravy on it, but gravy and I don't get along...it gives me an upset stomach. So yeah, I really don't like turkey much. But fish is amazing, I'd eat it every day if I could. But I haven't had fish since...2 weeks ago when I had a fish fry from the store. And that's deep fried fish, so I know that's not good either...but it's still fish.

Yeah. That's almost like you can't say you're American if you've never had a hotdog. Like my friend Anna, she lives in Milwaukee (the founder of brats, hotdogs, and beer smile ), she's German, and she hates brats. She's not a true Milwaukeean, haha.

Ew...no offense, but that doesn't sound completely appetizing...I know that real cheese doesn't sound appetizing either, being rotten milk...but I grew up with that, so it's good to me. But I've had goat cheese before, it's actually not bad. Although cow cheese is the favorite up here. You're not a true Wisconsinite if you don't like cheese either. LOL, I know LOTS of not true Wisconsinites.

I've never heard of crisped bread...what is it, exactly?

Aww, that sucks. Poor thing. We have PLENTY of overweight people. In a public setting, no one makes fun of fat people because almost everyone has a weight problem, whether it's being overweight or underweight. No one's a perfect weight here, as I'm sure you can tell.

Yeah, we have a lot of those kind of people here too. We call them the plastics because they look like Barbies and act like Paris Hilton biggrin . That'll only make sense if you know who she is, haha.

I love mini carrots, but I can't eat too many, otherwise I get a stomachache.

Haha I love the words yum and yummy. I'm almost 16 years old and I still use them.

You're lucky. I know a girl in 8th grade who has diabetes, but the school's so strict about food that if her bloodsugar's high or low, she has to call home and have her dad bring her food if she needs it. She can't just eat in the halls. It's really pathetic, if you ask me. Let the poor girl have some food, for God's sakes!

Haha, I would, but it's not like I have a refrigerator in my locker. It would be kind of disgusting after sitting there for hours. I tried bringing a granola bar once, but by the time I was hungry, that was the time I needed the whole 5 minutes to get my stuff and get to my next class, which didn't allow food. So that didn't work, and after that was lunch. So I just skipped it.

Yeah, I know. That would help so much...

Yes, it's sugarfree. I'm only allowed sugarfree gum, but I can have as much as I want. My parents are always willing to buy me sugar free gum since it keeps me from eating junk. Mine's mostly Trident, and I have one Orbit that I got for Christmas (I know, getting gum for Christmas is pathetic, but it was my step-dad's side of the family, and since they've only known me for 6 years, they don't know what I like, so they give me candy and gum mostly). I've only had sugared gum a couple times, and it never appealed to me. It seemed too sweet.

Oh, that's nice. We have 10 minutes between classes during exams, but that's only a half day, so they can do that. Also, no teachers write passes to go to the bathroom or to your locker during the exams, so they give you enough time in between to get all the stuff you need done. But we have 3 lunch periods because the school's so big. One before 4th hour (early lunch), one in between 4th and 5th hour (middle lunch), and one after 5th hour (late lunch). I had late lunch last semester, so I was always starving before lunch. I had middle lunch 2nd semester, that was nice because it was just the right time. And our teachers have assigned rooms if they've been teaching there a certain number of years. Like my Science teacher has been teaching there for 20 something years, so he has his own room. But sometimes other Science teachers have to use it because they haven't been there long enough to get their own. So those hours, he's in another class. But my Geometry teacher has only been there 2 years. So she doesn't have a classroom assigned to her. She borrows other math teacher's rooms, and switches them with every hour.

Yeah, my mom's still kind of skeptic, but she lets me since she trusts me. My dad absolutely hates that I talk to people online, since he says he's "attached" to me like a real father would be, but he doesn't say anything because he's not one for discipline since I'm technically not his kid. He lets my biological mom take care of the discipline and deep conversations about sex and stuff. He never talks to me about that.

You couldn't be any more correct about that. And I know baked potatoes aren't good for you, I rarely have them. I was just using that as an example of what my mom might think as a full meal. A more accurate example would be baked chicken, vegetables, and brown rice. When she thinks of a "meal", that's what she thinks of.

I barely have potatoes at all, unless they're the potato wedges from school. I have no idea what they do to them, but we only get a handful.

Yeah, but if she'd hear it from a doctor, she'd let me. But she'd monitor, and make sure that they're actually SMALL meals, and not full ones.

I think it was mostly genetics. That's part of my problem too. Everyone on my mom's side of the family, and the people that I get most of my characteristics from, are overweight. Except my biological father, he was tall and skinny, but he had horrible eating habits. He just didn't gain an ounce, which I, unfortunately, did not get from him. But that's probably the reason I'm not horribly overweight, because my mom is, but my dad isn't.

Yeah, I know plenty of people like that. My ex best friend Kassi was like that. She's a stick, and yet she eats WAY more sweets and junk than the rest of us. Also my friend Becky eats nothing but chocolate, red meat, and other junk, yet she's a stick. But she has a high metabolism though, so there's her reason.

Well, she was trained before she went into it. It's not like she randomly went up to them and said "Oh, I want a job here" and they just gave it to her. Nooo, she had to go through training, which was basically like college courses, but just in a hospital, not a school. She just didn't finish the amount of college she needed for psycology, so the only other answer she thought of was medical. But now she's urging me not to go into medical because she hates it so much. The only reason she's staying is because it pays the bills.

Nope, ours are always the same. But my grandma's schedule changed every day, so I kind of have an idea of what that would be like.

Ours vary between 52 and 56 minutes, I think. Or something.

I think that's just the grading system. It's kind of hard to explain, but I understand a little bit as to why it might be harder for you guys.

Okay now, to us, a B isn't that hard to get. For us, A's have been noted as average, since everyone can get them if they work for them. C's have been considered bad, although they're just normal. So for us to get a 5.7 it wouldn't take that much work. That is, if we were doing OUR work and not yours.

Well, don't be too sure of that. Our English is all messed up with slang and crap. The British have the proper English, we don't. And we're always using grammatical errors, mostly about like "Me and you went to the store" instead of "You and I went to the store". Although we know what's right, it doesn't SOUND right to us because we've been listening to it said wrong all our lives. I'm not sure about straight 6's in English.

Okay, what's the difference between practical math and theoretical math? We just have Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, Advanced Algebra with Trigenometry, Calculas, and AP Calculas. And I've been pretty good in math for as long as I can remember, although I don't really like it. I have an A+ right now.

To get into our colleges, it depends on which one you're going to, and what you're majoring in. Like me, I'm majoring in computers or technology. I don't need to go to a 4 year college for that. I go to a 2 year college, which just requires a high school diploma (which is just the required courses you had to take in high school). Whereas 4 year colleges require 4 years of English, Math, Science, and a foreign language, 3 years of History, 2 years of Gym, and the electives based on your major. Grades really have nothing to do with getting in, it's just what classes they'll put you in depend on your grades.

I like our grading system better...yours just seems confusing...

Our high school would love you to choose your field early, but you don't have to. But as long as you're working for SOMETHING, they'll help you pick if you're having trouble. College is more for that here.

We don't skip grades much here either, but keep in mind, my grandma went to school in the 40s and 50s. Things were different back then. My grade school has a 3 year old class now, since the parents were demanding it. So we have 3, 4, and 5 year old kindergarten, then 1st through 8th grade, then 4 years of high school. I was technically held back from kindergarten because my birthday was a week after the cutoff for kindergarten (I had to be 5 years old by September 1st, but I was turning 5 September 10th, so I had to wait another year). I'm actually supposed to be a Sophomore, but because of my stupid birthday, I'm stuck being a freshman.

We have more public schools than private, and I have to say I love it. Private schools are just religious based ones. Like my grade school was Lutheran based (just a branch of Christianity). We have some here, but mostly public ones.

Oh, that's cool! I'd love to visit Auschwitz. It seems really interesting to be able to see what ACTUALLY happened and what it ACTUALLY looked like and stuff.

We really started getting deeper into it in 8th grade, then we continued it 9th grade.

Haha yep, pretty much. It's a really ugly combination though. If you'd walk into our cafeteria, you'd understand what I'm saying.

Haha nice. I know someone who knows the lunch lady that gives out sides and desserts when you're not having the main special, so he gets extras. It's so unfair... razz

Well, you're not the only one, believe me. My dad's chemistry teacher said "If you're smart enough for the exemption, you're smart enough for the exam." He didn't get them either. Don't worry, you're not alone.

Well, that's good that you're getting some extra help. At least you'll be closer to passing the grade.

He wasn't an A student either. I inherited my grandma's brains. She was the one that finished high school in 3 years and has a photographic memory. She said I actually beat her with the GPA (she only got up to a 3.8, I got to a 4.1). But I also inherited my aunt's love for reading. Well, mostly everyone in my family loves to read, really. But mostly my aunt, grandma, and mom loved to. And as you know, reading helps you in school, so that has something to do with it as well.

Ours depends on the teacher and how they run the class. Some don't check them, some do. It just depends.

Random answer: I call them Mr., Mrs., or Miss whatever their last name is. Like my History teacher's last name is Hernandez. So I call him Mr. Hernandez. But some people call them by just their last name, like Snape and McGonagall do with Harry, but it's not considered an insult here. Even the teachers do that sometimes, just because it's shorter. Or some kids have nicknames for their teachers. Like my Science teacher's last name is Lindenberg. People call him Lindy for short. Or my Gym teacher's last name is O'Brien, people call her OB. So, it depends, but we don't called them "professor" or anything like that.

Oh, I'm sure this one beats EVERYONE'S. This took me ages...and I have more to write for responding to Para's message, so I'll do that in another message.

Oh, I don't pity it, I hit it. It's the stupid computer's fault if it breaks down, and it deserves punishment!

Yeah, I was fast asleep when you replied. I got it this morning, actually, but I didn't have time to reply to it, so I did it when I got home smile .

And some news, people! I posted my HP story on the FanFiction forum! You can check it out, if you want!.

Alright, I am back from Taco Bell! My dad, brother, and I went out and we got Volcano Tacos! They're delicious! But not as hot as before... sad .

Okay, more long replies coming...lol I'm getting pretty good at these.

Para, what's exactly wrong with your school? I've heard that they're basically all the same in terms of curriculum. But maybe I'm wrong, feel free to correct me.

I get mostly A's and B's too, but right now, the only B I've had is in Gym, and that's because my teacher is a b***h. We're allowed to take AP World History sophomore year. That's the only one they allow for sophomores. Junior and Senior years, they have AP Chemistry, AP Calculas, AP Psycology, and a bunch of others. That's cool that you got to eat outside. I'd love to be able to, but they don't let us because they think some kids will just use that as a chance to ditch. It's stupid...if they wanna ditch, let them. It's their own lives they're messing up. I would love to live in southern California, although I don't think I could handle the endless sun and no rain. I like rain, and sun hurts my eyes since I'm always sitting in the dark haha.

College algebra? There's seriously college algebra? I never knew that...I thought you SHOULD have passed algebra in 8th grade or high school...my school would hold you back if you didn't pass algebra, and you would be a 5 year senior.

Political Science? What's that exactly?

Oo I'm taking Sociology Senior year, I think.

Oh yeah, we all gotta take Spanish. It's not like it's required, but they look down on you if you don't take a second language. -rolls eyes-

Psychology! YAY! That's gonna be my minor, hopefully.

What's VSAR?

Okay, I've heard of Anthropology before, but I have no clue what it is...

I would have to not be able to have any dairy products. Well, except milk, I hate it. Except chocolate milk, that's awesome. And strawberry milk.

Aww, I'm sorry you lost contact with them. I have kind of the same problem, but I WANTED to lose contact with my so-called friends.

I'm an introvert as well, but all my friends are super outgoing, so they kind of think of me as boring sometimes.

What's general ed? Dang, I sound like such a ditz...sorry!

Yeah, Kitsune, you do have very nice English. Lol Spanglish...I like that word. I should start using that around my Latino friends.

--

Yay! Maybe Para is joining our conversation of long messages and a bunch of completely different subjects that change on the drop of a dime smile . The CLBCDSCOTDD! Wow...we need a shorter name...

I've never had nutrition in my life...but we have Health next year, maybe that counts. Restaurant and Food Processing? I would definitely fail that one...I can't even make microwave popcorn...

Our systems change in different districts. Like mine, I'm in the West Allis/West Milwaukee district, and all the other high schools in this one have the same curriculum and grading scale as we do. But in let's say Milwaukee Public Schools, their's are completely different, but they're like, right next to us. So it does change everywhere, just not in every school.

We get way too much snow here as well...last year we had a snowstorm so bad it lasted from October to April. We still had frost in May! We had so many snow days that year, we had to go to school during some federal holidays to make up for it.

Your school offers Japanese?! And LATIN?! Latin's dead, though! At least it was the last time I checked...

Kitsune, you couldn't be more right about Ravenclaws gaining more weight. Books definitely do not help you lose weight...haha.

You don't get a fancy ceremony when you graduate? We even got one last year for 8th grade graduation...

I've never had a relationship with a friend...actually, I've never had a relationship at all...kinda pathetic, really.

I hate big groups of people...even today when I was doing makeups with my friend Kassie, I hated having to go her speed instead of my own.

Another random answer: I have no idea! biggrin Reading probably.

Kineka_the_Warrior

I, like Minerva, read a lot of Marauder's fanfiction (although I haven't read a lot lately), so I always think of Remus as an important character. It's usually either with Sirius or Remus, sometimes together. Sorry, I like slash, I hope it's not like, illegal or something. But I hate being obsessed with what everyone else is obsessed with. All my friends like Harry, I like George. See? Even with Jonas Brothers and Wilson Phillips, I like Kevin (JB) and Carnie (Wilson Phillips) more than the other members, and they're backup singers. So, Remus has always been a part of my HP lifestyle, you could say. Whenever I request a Marauder's Era oneshot or one of those personalized things, it's always either Sirius or Remus as my crush, and the other as my best friend. So, I think you get my point.

Are you kidding? Sirius/Remus is MY FAVE SHIP EVER! heart I designed my entire Gaia profile theme around them!!! exclaim When I used to enter the Haven’s fan fic contests (I can’t anymore since I’m an HoH) my entries almost always featured puppy love! biggrin

My ex-best friend actually got me into a lot of music that I like, such as Japanese pop music and Wicked the musical. I like tons of music, too. Right now I’m listening to Queen, and yesterday I was listening to DDR songs.
GabrielleClearwater

Remus is amazing-- he is even important to the actual story, without fanfics. ^^ Just imagine what would have happened if he hadn't been there!

Yep. Without him Harry wouldn’t be able to conjure a Patronus, so Dudley (and possibly Harry) would be dead. Plus, Sirius would’ve gotten the Dementor’s Kiss.
turayza

Do you guys have any MWPP era fics you'd like to recommend? I don't think I've seen a good one yet. Hrm...actually, a long time ago, I read a great Lily/James fic, but I've never seen a good Sirius or Remus-centric fanfic. (Probably just 'cause I haven't looked n.n wink

Ooh, wow! eek I could go on for hours! I think checking the faves list on Minerva Evenstar's Profile is the easiest way to go! That's my name on FanFiction.net.
Kineka_the_Warrior

Haha cool! I'm listening to Hot 'n Cold right now. But it's kinda funny at the end of Ur So Gay...lol I don't want to say it, I might just get kicked out.

Oh, that's a relief. I lost a couple friends because of my slash addiction, so I kind of hoped that there were at least a couple here.

I love her song I Kissed a Girl!

Really? They must’ve been arseholes. mad We’re accepting here. As a bisexual person, I would refuse to be here if we weren’t. Actually, if you looked at The Haven's banners, you’d see that we have some Harry/Draco and Sirius/Remus ones. One of the Wolfstar ones was obviously designed by me! xd

I’ll have to check it out. whee

It seems like the current topic is what classes everyone is taking. Last term I had cultural anthropology, educational psychology, statistics, and world literature. Next semester, which starts in September, I’m taking physics 2, political science, French, American literature, and special education (I’m studying to become a teacher, and this class is about how to teach students with special needs).

I LOVE Remus/Sirius! I just love that it's the classic quiet, shy boy with the outgoing, funny boy. I think it's a good mix. And puppy love is definitely amazing!

Japanese pop music? o.O Never heard of it...I LOVE WICKED! We sang I'm Not The Girl for our concert a couple weeks ago. DANG I LOVE THAT SONG! Queen is cool too, but I only know like, a couple songs. What's DDR?

I love I Kissed a Girl too! Waking Up in Vegas has to be my new favorite though.

Yeah, they were. But at least we don't go to the same school anymore. And don't worry about being bi, I love bi people. Sometimes hanging out with all straight people gets really boring. And I did look at the banners. I'll probably find a slash one to put on my profile or signature or something. I personally love the House banner I have right now, it's beautiful!

I think Remus and SIrius balance each other well; patient and cautious with impatient and impulsive. Remus keeps Sirius under control, and Sirius brings Remus out of his shell and gets him to have fun. 4laugh

Defying Gravity is my fave Wicked song. I actully saw the play in person. It was AMAZING! biggrin I wrote a fan fic for Tom Riddle based on some of the lyrics for Defying Gravity and No Good Deed.

DDR = Dance Dance Revelution. It's a Playstation game. I don't play it, but I like the songs.

You've never heard pop music from Japan! exclaim dramallama exclaim eek exclaim Hold on! *goes on YouTube*
Okay, listen to Believe by Nami Tamaki. She's my fave J-pop singer. The dancing in the video is a bit boring, but I love that she never dresses like a slut. For male singers...try the Weiss Kreuz opening theme and the DN Angel Opening theme. They're animes, but even if you don't like the show, their theme songs are brilliant!

Hmm, I've never been impressed with any songs of hers other than I Kissed a Girl. I thought Hot and Cold and You're So Gay were okay, but not worth downloading. I've never heard the Vegas one, though. *goes to look it up*

Yep, I'll be starting my third year of university next term! exclaim They say it takes 4 years to become a teacher, but it's actually 5 when you include student teaching.

Exams! Did they you do okay? I'm sure you did wonderful. Our English consists of two parts, one that is questions we have to answer, and the second one that is a long assignment where you write a short-story, article, poem or other stuff. Depends on which task you choose, since there are normally about five different tasks to choose from.

Haha. This means war. I'll do everyhing in my power to defeat the length of your lengthy post!

Nupe, I haven't. It sounds really interesting though! But if I know TV3 and TVN like I do, one of the two channels are definitely going to send it eventually. Funny how TVN stands for TV Norway, yet they hardly ever have any Norwegian shows, except for the news.

Thankfully, I only lack about three channels downstairs that we have upstairs on the decoder. If not I'd be grumpy. I do wish we would get History Channel though.. But noooo.. There's hardly anything I actually want to watch on TV, except the occasional movie or documentary.

Our TV records automatically on the channel it is on. So we can actually rewind if we missed some of the show, as long as the TV was set on that channel. We can also record with the TV any time we want, and then watch the programs later. No other DVR's or DVD's or VHS needed.

Pity about your computer... Thankfully if one of my laptops decide to kill itself, I always have my other one. We received a laptop from the school for 63 dollars each half a year. We have to pay that for three years, then the laptops are ours. x3 What makes it even more awesome, is that we don't even pay a fourth of the real price of the laptops! biggrin

You haven't heard of a Japanese spitz? Just google it. They're adorable. Here's some pictures of our cats. The drawings on the bottom are fifteen minute sketches made by my mums boyfriend. Here are more of his drawings. I love his art! biggrin

Funnily enough, my mum is allergic to both cats and dogs. She just doesn't have any reaction at all.

Yeah, we have a lot of fish. And my mum bought new ones today...

That's true... But then, it's not like there's a lack of children who needs to be adopted in the world. So if you really want to raise a child, adotion is always an alternative, isn't it?

It is a lot of people, isn't it? I was also surprised by the number. Yet, for some reason, made me feel better. I'd feel worse if it was like this rare disease that almost no one had...

That makes a bit more sense! My own cousin has ADHD. It took years for them to discover that though...

I know what you mean. And your back would be pretty hard to shave or wax too... Ah, you'd get used to it. razz

Actually, you can actually take up to 3g metamorfin a day. That is six pills! Now I'm only taking 1g a day; 2 pills.

Irregular periods is normal the first two years or so after you've had your first period. That's what I've heard, at least.

My parents were never married. They dated for two months, mum got pregnant, they broke up shortly after and the last time we saw him was on my first birthday. Untill I my confirmation two years ago, that is.

I have a close relationship with my grandparents as well! Well, my grandpa isn't really my grandpa. Mum's father died in a car accident when she was only eight years old. But they've been together since way before I was born.

My mum's been different since she met her boyfriend as well. Fortunately for me, the change has been a positive one, and I have a great relationship with the man. Me'n him sometimes gang-up on my mum to tease her.

It's not that fun when they gang up to tease me though...

I'm sorry that your relationship with your mother went from good to less-good after she married him... I'd be really annoyed with my mum if she married some guy I didn't even like.

Of course, I'm really glad now that she didn't marry her previous boyfriend. He was nice back then and he's nice now too, I guess... But the last time I had any contact with the man that had lived with us from I was four to eight, he came with these... disgusting comments.

I really felt dirty after talking to him a few times last year... And he kept sending me messages that was sexual in nature... My friends who met him also thought that there was something perverted about him.

Really glad the two broke up...

Well, it good that your new pill isn't as bad as your previous one at least! And I think hunger is easier to controll than if you were just gaining weight.

Gym makeups? How long does your exam lasts? o.O Our exam lasts for five hours. Each. Except the oral exam.

Ah, depends. If you're on insulin, it is a tad bit harder. And it depends on what kind of medication you're on. Metamorfin actually helps you loose weight.

I live in the second biggest city in Northern Norway. We have 25 000 citizens. razz

I love it. I'm a dreamer, so I dream myself away. x3

Yeah. I guess it is something you'd have to get used to. Makes me happy I don't live in America. I'd be HUGE! I have an easy time gaining weight so...

Hehe.. Here we kind of focus on health more than taste. Yet.. not..

That must've sucked. Going to a meeting with your teacher while having period pains.

Ah.. That explains it. I thought it was weird that they gave you medicine. Seems slightly unresposible if they had. razz

.....Chocolate chips in bread? That sounds... I don't wanna taste that. xD

Well, if you like fish, a trip to Scandinavia someday would be ideal for you. razz Here we eat a lot of fish. And then I mean alot. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving. But that shouldn't come as a surprise.

I've had a hot dog. They sell hot dogs everywhere. Though I'm not too fond of hotdogs to be honest.. Loved'em when I was a kid though.

Yeah, I know. Foreigners doesn't exactly love it. It's so.. Norwegian I guess.
Here is a picture of 'em.

It is frustrating, believe me. But then, what can you do? Rant about it, but nothing else. razz

I know who Paris Hilton is. Unfortunately.

I love'em too. x3 They're tasty.

Same here. I'm almost seventeen so I beat you! HA!

Wow that sucks! They should let the girl eat! If her bloodsugar gets too low, she'll faint. And then what would the school do?

You don't need a refrigerator! We carry out lunches in our backbacks. But time is a problem, isn't it? Damn.

That's good. I think sugar gum is way too sweet and the taste runs out waaaay to quickly....

Lucky... We have no time between an exam. Seeing as how one exam or mock exam takes an entire day.

Mmh... Teachers owning classrooms. Make up too much confusion in my opinion.

Sceptical parents. The fear of every teenager out there! Oh the horror. That's a positive thing, isn't it? That he doesn't try to boss over you or something?

Baked chicken? Never heard of baked chicken before. Mmmh... Wonder how that tastes.

I don't like baked potatoes. Not even fond of potatoes at all... think I've already said that though. I dunno.

Seems like your mom doesn't trust you to be able to control yourself?

Get a doctor to tell her or something... I don't know. Stubborn people are hard to deal with at times.

Genetics are a pure pain. Wish someone would AK genetics. Then we would all just suffer from RANDOM afflications. At least then you couldn't blame your parents for your health problems.

Lucky man. I wish I had a metabolism that would just suck out everything I eat and make it into nothingness or something.

A few of my friends also has that super-metabolism. I bet they're really super heroes in disguise. Probably working in a group. "The Metabolism League" or something.

That explains it... Would be weird to just hire someone that didn't have much education in the field. But I guess she doesn't specialize in anything? So she doesn't like her job? That's sad really. I don't want to end up in a job I don't like...

Kinda funny that your grandma's schedule changed like it does here, when she attended school decades ago.

I understand what you mean. Still, it is a bit messed up with the way we have it.

Yeah, I've noticed that. I try my best to use proper grammar. But I may end up messing it up at times, since it is very different from Norwegian grammar.

And I guess you're right... Our teacher notices every little mistake. Whether it is grammar or spelling. She's taking her Master degree in English at the moment.

Practical math is easier. This year we worked with equations, algebra, economics, geometry and some other things I can't remember. Theoretical math is really hard math. Advanced math.

Yeah, I've heard about that. Also you have to pay a huge sum of money to attend a college in America.. Am I correct?

It's really easy actually. Just hard to get the best grade.

Here you can get a good job without attending college... As long as you choose a vocational education program that is.

Here, there's no danger of such a thing happening. We're divided by the year we're born in. I'm born on the 2nd of September, 1992, and I'm in the same class as one born on the 9th of January 1992 and one born the 23rd of December 1992.

I'm glad we're divided like that, or I wouldn't be in the same grade as my best friend.

I have no idea how private schools here function, so I can't tell you.

It was kinda eerie too.. Our guide told us that every step we took in Auschwitz Birkenau, someone had died on that spot. There were also places we couldn't step on, because it was a massgrave right there...

I can imagine that colourscheme! I don't see why they decorated a cafeteria like that! xD

That is unfair! Next year there won't be any muffins or anything of the sort being sold in our cafeteria. They're getting rid of all the unhealthy food.

I won't be having extra help! I'll have to study on my own. And either this winter or this summer, I'll have to pay 300 kr to take the exam, and then I'll get a grade. To be a privatist you study on your own. Here you can actually take Highschool and University as a privatist.

That's awesome! I wish I had a photographic memory! I love reading as well. Especially fantasy... But then, I love dreaming myself away. My mum used to read a lot, but she stopped.. Dunno why though.

As I said earlier, we call all our teachers by their first name. I call my English teacher Birgit, my French teacher Bente and so on, as that is their names. And they call us by our first names.

Have no idea if this one beats yours or not. All I know is that it took ages to write! xD

I don't hit it. I just curse, swear and then do it all again.

Yeah. I was fast asleep on your previous reply as well. razz It was 2 am here when I went to bed.

I'm gonna read your fanfic as soon as I'm done with this message! I have two fanfics posted on the last page!

Para

He's a mix between a Japanese spitz and a Mittelspitz. Here's a picture of the little runt when he was six weeks old.

'twas fun sometimes. I'm really nervous in the kitchen, and I keep double checking. I make a horrid cook!

That must be horrid if you move out of state or even out of the county.. So confusing. Here we're all under the same education contract, called "Kunnskapsløftet", meaning "Knowledge Promotion".

I believe the most snow we had this year was over 1 meter of snow... It was a lot. And it kept snowing... It was an unusually cold winter this year. So much for global warming...

I'm horrible at maths as well, but I manage. My friend is learning Japanese herself, and she tells me it is surprisingly easy. But then, the Japanses pronounciation comes more naturatly for us than you. We have a similar pronounciation as the Japanese...

I know some basic grammar of Latin. Nothing more really. I'm planning to take it up as a Privatist, along with Japanese next year. Would look good on my certificate if I have five different languages after all. Especially if I have a good grade in four of them. I've given up on French. The teacher is terrible...

You could always just do some study on the net! Not to be fluent or anything, but just to get by. I've never been outside of the European continent. I really want to visit the US when the Harry Potter theme park opens!

I've visited Sweeden more times than I can count, Germany, Poland, Greece and England. But that's it.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 09, 2009 1:45 pm

Seems like Para has joined our club! biggrin Awesome. More members. We should make a banner or something.

And unfortunately no, it doesn't... I'm going to take it as a privatist. But the Uni I want to start on does offer both Japanese and Latin. It also offers Greek and Ancient Greek, which I'm considering taking. I love languages.

I know. I'm always right. (Just kidding)

Nupe. No fancy cermony at all. When we quit tenth grade, we got our cetificate in the mail. This year, I'll be leaving the day before we get our certificate, so I'll have to get it in mail as well.

And you're not alone in not having had a relationship. I haven't even kissed a person before! Not that I really want to anyway. razz

To answer my own question, I'll be going to Oslo two times this summer. I'm leaving next Wednesday and I'll be back on the 23rd. Me and two friends are going to the first yaoi(slash)con that's ever been held in Norway! And we're going to an animecon named Soracon.

And I'm gonna bother my cousin. And my dad is bring us to the amusement park in Oslo, called Tusenfryd (meaning "Thousand Joys).

Right after we come home, I'll have to go home, pack and then we're driving for four - five hours up to Tromsø, where I have an appointment at the hospital there the next day at 11 am.

Second time I'm going to Oslo is with my grandparents. We're gonna drive down there with their new campingcar! biggrin I can hardly wait! ^^

(shortest post till now, since you posted while I was writing. You evil woman you! razz )

Minerva...

Yes, they do balance each other quite well. I do also love that Sirius is the encouraging one, at least when he's older, and Remus can be a little depressed sometimes. I've found great oneshots on Remus being down and Sirius pulls him back up. I know, it's cheesy, but like I said before, I like cheesy.

I couldn't get into that song...I want to see the play! That's SO NOT FAIR! -pouts-

OH I getcha. I've never played that...I've played Guitar Hero though, but I'm still on Easy.

LOL! Well, I have no clue what they're saying, but that first song is pretty catchy.

Hot 'n Cold had me from the beginning. I was so obsessed, I learned it in about a half hour. Ur So Gay I just kinda came across and thought it was funny. I don't even know the words, just the beat is okay. Waking Up in Vegas is her new one. Well, not really new, it was on her regular album...but it's quite catchy. That's the one she sang on Idol and she had the cape on that said Adam Lambert (who is so mine, she can't have him, even though he's gay!).

Dang...are there any other freshman here? Well, that's kind of a stupid question...but I'm sure talking to college people will be cool. I sometimes hate people my age anyway.

Oh, and I just found out that you're not the only one that doesn't like that band I showed you. Or at least their style of music. I showed my best friend another of their songs, and, even though she listens to similar music, she didn't like it either.

Kitsune...

Well, I think I did alright on the 4 I've taken already. Chorus was absolutely a breeze, it was just rhythm, solfege, and finding the major keys (minors were extra credit). Web Design was easy, it was just identifying different HTML codes and what they're used for, which we've gone over in class millions of times. Geometry was okay, since we could use notes. I think I did alright. And English...well, I know I messed up The Odessey part (it's this mythology story we read and I thought it was boring as heck). But the other parts were Romeo and Juliet (my fave!) and poetry (not worth studying, but easy enough). But like I said before, I had short answer (a paragraph) and long answer (several paragraphs) questions, and this rambling definitely got me ready for that. For our English, we had mostly multiple choice answers, then 3 (out of 5 given) short answers and one long answer.

Yes! WAR! xD

It is, it's really hilarious. This one time, the question was "My wife would totally freak out if she found blank on my computer." And the guy said gay porn. IT WAS SO FUNNY! But yeah, it's awesome. It's a new show, though (well, not the idea, it's just a remake of an old show that came out in 2009) so I don't know if you guys would get it just yet.

Well, in the living room, we have over 5000 channels, but most of them are either HD (High Definition) or On Demand (where you push a button and you get the movie or show you want right away). And in my room and the kitchen, we just have channels 2 through 99, but the kitchen one is HD, mine isn't. And The Newlywed Game is on channel 160. I don't get that channel, so I have to watch it in the living room.

We have recorders too, they're basically the same as yours. But our cable freaks on us, we hate it. It shorts out, freezes, stops recording before the show's over, etc. It sucks, but my dad doesn't want to get rid of it because he won't give up his computer geek shows that are on channel 149. Oh and the Science Channel, which is like 200 something.

:O LUCKY! I HAD TO PAY 600 FREAKING DOLLARS FOR MINE! AND IT'S DYING, I'M GONNA HAVE TO WASTE ANOTHER 600 DOLLARS ON A NEW ONE! razz

Awww! your kitties are ADORABLE! -hugs kitties- Wow! He's amazing! I have some drawings too, but they're not nearly as good as those!

Wow, weird...my mom gets all puffy eyed and her nose runs and she sneezes and everything...

Aww fishies!

Well, yes, but if people stop making babies to adopt...then after a while, there won't be any left.

ADHD I know! Isn't that where you can't like, sit still and you're a bit slower in the head and stuff? I think I'm getting this right...

Yeah, you should get an electric back shaver razz .

Um...why can't they just put 1 gram of it in one pill? Then it would kinda be less exaggerated.

Yeah, I know it is. My pediatrition said I would be irregular until I'm about 16. Well, I'm 15 now and I'm pretty dang regular.

Oh...that sucks. I've never seen my dad, so consider yourself lucky.

I'm closer with my grandma than I am with my grandpa, only because when I was growing up, he was the one that stayed home with me on the days he didn't volunteer (which was twice a week), but he never did anything with me, he just fell asleep in front of the TV at the kitchen table. My grandma took me to the mall and we hung out and stuff...so yeah, I'm closer with her.

That's good! You should have a good relationship with him! I think I only resent mine because he's trying to act like my real father, when technically, he's not. Plus, I was 9 when they met, and me and my mom shared a room due to limited space in my grandparents' house. So when she would stay out until midnight with him, I'd be worried sick that he's doing something to her. And then she comes home and I tell her about it, and she just brushes it off and went out with him again, leaving me in a miserable bunch on the bed, crying myself to sleep. I mean, when you're 9 years old, that's kind of around the time you need your mother around. But I went to school during the day and she worked everyday, but then at night and on the weekends, she was out with him. Plus I only knew him for 2 days before they started going out. I guess you could say I was worried. More for her than anyone else.

It's alright. I've learned to just single them out. They think normal teenagers want to be alone anyway, so they tend to leave me in my room with my door closed. But what's REALLY annoying is that I can hear them making out in the living room and being all cheesy and crap. It's so disgusting. I know I'll think differently when I'm doing it, but until then, I say it's gross.

O.O Woah...um, you know that could be considered sexual abuse, right? You could've called the police on him...

Yeah, it's pretty easy to control. Mostly I get hungry right when I'm typing one of these messages. So I finish the message and THEN go eat. So I'm kinda training my body to eat when it's time.

Our exams are each an hour long, and we have 10 minutes in between. But there's an "Exam Prep" time before exams start at 9 am. From 7:45 to 8:30, they're allowing people to do gym makeups, which is 15 laps for every day you were out. I only have one left to do, and I'm going to finish that tomorrow, which is our last exam day.

Oh, okay. Well, I've also heard on commercials and stuff that it's hard for people with diabetes to lose weight...so I don't know, I'm no expert.

I don't know how many people we have, but I live in the biggest city in Wisconsin. So yeah, it's always busy and bustling with people.

I can be at times too. But then I get to talking to myself, and with people around me, that's a little embarrassing... sweatdrop

Yeah, you'd be just as big as every other person in this country.

That's good! You guys should stay that way!

Yeah...and it was right before 5th grade too, in a new school. What a great first impression, huh?

Yeah, it would've been. Sorry, I should've been more clear on that.

It's actually really good. It tastes like...like coffee cake with chocolate chips in it.

Oooh, another place to add on my "Places I Want to Go Someday" list. Yeah, I kinda thought you don't celebrate it, it's more of an American holiday...

I did too, but now I'm sick of them because my mom's been having cravings for them, so that's all we have in the house. That and cheese. I love Kosher ones though. Don't know what they're made of, but they taste awesome.

The link didn't work... sad

Yeah, but having someone that you can rant to does help.

Maybe it would be better if you were just out of the loop with her. She's dating a baseball player now...or as my dad says, "She's probably dating the whole team!"

Lol yes, yes, you beat me smile .

Yeah...but they don't want to single her out and then have all the other people think she's getting "special treatment" because of her illness. That's not something they believe in -rolls eyes-. They'd probably just take her to the nurse's office, then say "She fainted, her bloodsugar was low." Then the nurse would nod, and when she wakes up, by then, the food would've gotten there, and they'd give it to her.

For a carrot? Uh, yeah ya do. I've tasted warm carrots, they're gross and really soggy. But yeah, time's the major issue. And next year they're changing everything so we have even LESS time in between classes.

Yeah, I've tried Hubba Bubba a couple times...never cared for it...I felt like my teeth were rotting as I chewed.

Yeah, I would see how you wouldn't...but ours only go until about noon or so, then we go home. and since they're only an hour, we can take longer time in the halls.

Nah, not really. You always know you'll usually find them in their designated classrooms. It makes it easy to find people. But for the newbies, they'll get there. It's a high honor to have your own classroom. It means you've had experience teaching, and you have the highest degree you can get.

Well, yes, but he just whines to my mom about it, then she tells me what he's worried about.

It's pretty good. I actually like grilled chicken better...

I love potatoes! But the only time I have a baked potato is at the fair when they serve them for free. And that's once a year, so I think I'm good in the potato end of it.

I guess. She keeps saying she trusts ME, but she doesn't trust the pervs and weirdo people out in the world. But, if she trusts me, shouldn't she trust that I know not to associate with the pervs and weirdo people out there? It just makes it sound like she's lying to me when she says she trusts me. I'm not going to do anything stupid, and she needs to understand that.

Yeah, she is hard to deal with...well, at least you don't have to live with her...

Yeah, but I can't really blame my parents...my dad had nothing at all to do with my weight problem, and my mom couldn't help that she was overweight, so I can't place the blame on them. Damn.

Yeah, that would be awesome. But I don't want to be totally skinny. I just want to be healthy.

The Metabolism League. I like that! smile

She doesn't, no. She just went to a normal college, but never finished. So...I don't know...it's kind of weird that she's urging me to go to college when she never even finished. Bad example, don't you think?

And yeah, she hates her job. But it's more the working with people that she hates. She's an introvert, she'd rather do paperwork then have to work with people. But it just didn't fly with her, and it's her fault anyway, for not finishing college.

Yeah, but I know of plenty of other schools that do that now too. But she also finished in 3 years. They don't do that anymore, but she was so advanced that she couldn't stay with her normal class.

Yeah, just a tiny bit...

Oh, that's okay! If your first language isn't English, we don't expect you to type and say it perfectly. But, for not being a US citizen, you have VERY good English.

Ugh, I hate when teachers grade like that. I mean, we're only human, we're GOING to make mistakes, no doubt about it.

Oh, okay, I gotcha.

Yes, oh yes you do. It's terrible, you have to pay almost $6,000 for one semester, sometimes more if it's a higher quality school. Man...we're not rich here, people!

Oh, come on! I want to be able to get a job without going to college! That would be awesome! But here, if you don't go to college, you'll work at a fast food place (like McDonald's or Burger King).

Dang, lucky b***h! I'd love to be divided by year. Then maybe I'd be in the right class.

Oh well, they're probably about the same, they just probably don't teach Christianity. What's the big religion in Norway?

Ooo, I love it! I'd love to go on a creepy kinda field trip like that! But we don't live anywhere near anything cool...we go to the zoo and museum...

Yeah...it looks good on the Gryffindor logo, but in a cafeteria, it just doesn't...

Well, that should be good, right? We have doughnuts, chips, cookies, brownies, greasy pizza and hamburgers, pudding...the only healthy stuff we have is fruit, and it only comes in little plastic containers.

Oh, sorry! Misunderstanding, sorry about that...

My aunt was the reader in my mom's family. But she stopped when she had my cousin and she didn't have time anymore. I hope I'm never like that...

Our teachers call us by our first names, but sometimes they'd call us by our last names, just because it's faster.

Lol I doubt it beat this one!

Oh yeah, I do that too. Except I don't want it to COMPLETELY die, so I'm usually nice to it...usually...

2 am?! Woah...well, that's not really THAT late...I've stayed up until 6 am before. At a sleepover in 2nd grade.

Cool! Tell me what you think!

I would read all the posts but my computer is getting fixed! I had to leave it at the apple store and they said it would take them 3-5 days. I'm at the library. I will comment on my bf's computer though!

I won't be responding as long... sweatdrop

Aww I'm sorry!

That's perfectly fine! You have a good excuse! xD

Para, I'm sorry you're lactose-intolerant. I'd hate to have a food allergy. Oh, wait, I do have one! I'm allergic to a perservative that's often used in dairy products. I can't have American cheese, provolone (sp?), or cream cheese. I can't drink milk over 1%. Isn't that odd? confused It doesn't bother me because cheddar and mozerella cheese are my faves, and 1% is the milk I like best.

Kitsune, I love languages, too! razz I'd become fluent in Gaelic, Italian, Greek, and French if I had the time!

Kineka, I can see why you like the Vegas song. It has a fun beat, and the video was amusing. I'm glad you liked Nami's song. I heart her music! Don't worry; I don't understand the Japanese lyrics either! lol I also listen to Spanish music frequently even though I don't speak much of the language.

By the way, everyone, I entered in the avi arena here so please rate me if you get the chance! whee
