The Kabuto would scamper away as the human called out to them. Seeing a moment of distraction it would disappear into the foliage without a trace as the path was open up for them to continue onwards ...further through the forest.

As they were padding through the forest, nothing seemed to disturb the group. It was good for those that didn't want to battle, but frankly quite boring for Nyx and Kyo. The Umbreon darted past Kyo and then flicked him with his tail and raced forward. ["Can't catch me, slowpoke."] he remarked before running away at full blown speed.The white and red furred pokemon had been wondering where all the pokemon were hiding. It wasn't like they were intimidating. Besides they were in a new forest so it wasn't like word of the Nuzleaf battle would spread this far this fast. Pondering this fact, he wasn't really aware of what the Umbreon was doing until he was hit in the face by it's tail. Irritated, he glanced up as his teammate ran away. He shook his head once before lowering his claws to the ground. Zangoose typically ran on all fours as well but when angry rose to fight on their hindpaws. He darted forward, wondering if the Umbreon remembered that Zangoose were known for their speed. It wouldn't take long to catch up to the Umbreon and end this foolish game of tag.Jade had been walking through the forest, glad for the peaceful atmosphere. The forest was cool and it was great to walk through the area. Nothing was attacking them and he felt content for once. Being out here in nature was somehow soothing him. This thought was shattered when first Nyx ran flying past him. Shortly after that, Kyo came running right after him. The boy had to start running as well to catch up with them. Just great. Kyo continued to run. The Umbreon was just in sight and he was catching up fast. The red and white furred pokemon put on an extra burst of speed, not even feeling winded yet. This kind of running is what he lived for. His sworn enemy Seviper was a fast pokemon and it took a skilled pokemon to be able to hunt it down and fight. He was now right behind of the dark pokemon and gave an extra push with his hind legs. The Zangoose leapt clean over the Umbreon and landed at least a couple inches right in front of the pokemon's nose. Spotting the surprise on the dark pokemon's face, he had to smirk. Letting his large tail brush the Umbreon's face, the Zangoose darted off. ["Catch me if you can."] he shouted while running away. ["Whose the Slowpoke now?"]Nyx felt like he was really winning. When he had glanced over his shoulder, Kyo was still a little ways behind of him. Feeling confident, he tried to push himself faster. Weaving from side to side in different directions, there was a slight build of an adrenaline rush. There was a flash of white and red that dropped in front of him and he had to push down with all four paws almost sliding on his behind to a halt. Just as he stopped the Zangoose's bushy white tail brushed his face. Open shock was the only expression visible as Kyo took off again. Nyx shook his head from side to side in one quick motion to try and regain his bearings. So the pokemon was slightly faster then he expected. He pushed off again, ready to catch his teammate and surprise him like he had been already! Though the rush of them ...the sound of their paws steps in a paralyzed world would call to another hunter in these lands. A creature that loved the taste of blood in his maw and the crunch of bones as he would rouse from his sleep slowly and move into their path way ...as the Zangoose now the in lead would be the one to run into him as he blocked their pathway.
Eyes that glowed red with anger as he looked down at the smaller pokemon the Cranidos would open his maw wide and give off a roar that would shake many of the pokemon of this land to their bones as the Cranidos stood to fight them.
This was going to be a much more interesting battle then before.

The Zangoose skidded to a halt right in front of a pokemon. Excellent! He looked happy, claws unsheathing as he glanced back once. At first he was puzzled at the Cranidos reaction. Did the pokemon reallly think it was an all mighty Rampardos or something? The white and red furred pokemon towered over the little dinosaur that stood at 2"11. Kyo stood at a good 4"3 and didn't flinch when the blue pokemon roared. Guess it was time for him to teach the kid a lesson on what it was to really have strength in your paws. He lashed forward, diagonally with his left claw aiming to Scratch his opponent and shed blood! The Umbreon felt a little disappointed but he also smirked at the Cranidos antics. The pokemon must've really been delusional today. Even the Umbreon was taller then the dinosaur, if only by a little standing at 3"03. He sat back on his haunches watching and waiting. If the Zangoose failed, he would step up and have fun with this battle. All he needed to do was bide his time. Unfortunately the Cranidos had approached the wrong team and was about to become nothing more then a chew toy tossed to a Growlithe to tear apart. It was a foolish mistake in terms of size, but the Cranidos didn't seem to be too upset over the face as those claws would slash diagonal, and he would stand to defend himself by simply draw his head into the way. That head that was as hard as stone as he felt those claws tear into him ...making sparks leap from him ....but there was no fear there either. He was the hunter of this forest, and he was about to make this pokemon recognize that as the Zangoose attacked with an ineffective scratch.

(17-12) + (15-8 )= 12 DMG Cranidos 5 HP Capture Rate 6+ The Zangoose leapt backwards, eyes carefully watching the Cranidos. Despite the hardness of it's head, his claws had done some harsh damage. The Zangoose raced towards the Cranidos, aiming to leap over the pokemon and then keep on running to avoid getting hit. He was a fast pokemon so speed should be on his side. Nyx fidgeted as he watched the battle. The Umbreon wanted to be the one in there fighting. He saw that Kyo was doing good and knew that this was probably going to be another victory. (Rock types have a resistances to normal types, so it's been reduced by 1/2 thus the damage was only 6)

The Cranidos felt those claws cut into him ...as he twist quickly and turned in a a bit of a circle as he twist so that that head that had taken the blow would not be aimed at the pokemon's chest ...as he charges forward swiftly. He was going to make that pokemon regret it's hit even as the Zangoose managed to dance away from his blow ...he was determined he was going to literally roll him up with his attack.

The Zangoose left a large gap between him and the Cranidos. The small blue dinosaur had no way of catching up and he glanced over his shoulder grinning. The red and white furred pokemon had leapt clear over his opponent and even had time to double back and circle the dinosaur. The head butt from the other pokemon had failed. Kyo looked pleased as he rose his claws up again. The pokemon paused when he saw Jade waving frantically from one side. Oh, he wanted to catch this pokemon? Resisting the urge to roll his eyes, he took off running aiming to lure the pokemon closer to the boy. Jade grabbed a pokeball from his pack. This would be the perfect moment to catch the Cranidos. He admired the pokemon's obvious strength and spirit. Pulling his arm back, he threw the red and white ball aiming to hit the pokemon on top of the head with it! The boy figured that would be an easy target to hit and thus it would guarantee he wouldn't miss. As the Umbreon managed to settle down seeing that Kyo was doing well in the battle, he simply watched. The Cranidos wasn't doing too bad but it could've been better. For something so small, it had a lot of strength. It had somewhat of a cocky attitude which surprised the dark pokemon. Airashii managed to avoid getting hit only due to Kyou saving her. She glanced at the Stantler and realized she was still far too close to the creature. Again, she tried to dart away to avoid being accidentally or more likely purposely tramped upon by the hooved pokemon.
The Charmander saw that his trainer was still stuck in the middle of the battle. Why hadn't she run while she could? Irritated, he then rose forward and whipped his tail against the nose of the Stantler after leaping towards it. It was a way to try and distract the pokemon as the Charmander darted away to avoid whatever attack was coming towards him.

As the Emolga soared through the air, he saw that the Anorith was now paying a little more attention to him. That was good and he was almost grateful the other creature hadn't attacked. The bug looking creature was certainly not moving fast anytime soon. The flying squirrel figured if he gave him a little boost of energy, it might want to wake up fully and play with him! Electricity radiated off Kai's cheeks as he sent a thunder shock directly towards the Anorith! For an instant the Anorith's hide would sparkly brightly, the shimmering glow of his shell shattering. His body had toughed itself, but otherwise the prehistoric Pokemon continued to simply lay their. A brief yawn would escape from between his mandibles. He saw no reason to flee, to dodge, or even defend. Instead the rock skinned insect would simply continue to do nothing but lay there. He clearly didn't fear being electrocuted.

A flicker of orange and heat underneath his nose ...would make him rear back just a bit. As the Tail whip would fail in lowering any of his stats ....as the Stantler would lose all sight of the trainer in that moment. His world dissolving in a waving flame of heat and power that had ran underneath his nose, a ploy, a joke, it could all be seen as one and the same, but this wasn't how the Stantler chose to take it.
He took it as direct challenge to his claim on the trainer's life as he looked at the charmander and before that tail could fully retract he would make his move. As quick as a whip, and aimed at the area underneath the flames so as not to burn his own mouth the pokemon would reach out to bite the flesh that held that flame in the air.
The charmander's tail if it wasn't recalled fast enough would find itself with a Stantler quickly attached. For though a Stantler didn't eat flesh, those teeth were strong from stripping leaves off off of branches.

THe pokeball would tap him on the head ....once before hitting the ground. As the Cranidos looked just a bit surprised at the overall development. Though that surprise wouldn't last long as he was suck into the pokeball as nothing more than reddish light. This fight was over at last as the pokeball hit the ground and rolled once before coming to a full stop and then begins it's shaking.
Once, twice, and final hard third time before it came to a complete stop and the button that had been blinking red went to white.

Jade grabbed the pokeball and attached it to his belt. The shy male felt proud of being able to catch the pokemon. Grinning, he wished Namiko had been out to witness his newest addition to the team. Wow, there were a lot of males being added and his starter, the Lapras was his only female. She could hold her own anyway so it didn't really matter. It was time to move forward and see what other pokemon were out here! Nyx padded up to the Zangoose and walked beside of him. He was slightly shorter then the other pokemon but it didn't really matter. ["That was pretty good fighting out there,"] the Umbreon admitted grudgingly. He cheered up almost immediately right after saying it. ["Don't feel too good about yourself. I still would've done better."] The dark pokemon flicked his tail at the white and red furred pokemon before darting forward and then slowing back down. ["Next pokemon is mine!"] Kyo had to resist snickering at the Umbreon's comment. It looked like it had almost hurt the strange cat like pokemon to ever say that. Shaking his head slightly, he almost took a swipe at the tail that whipped really close to his face. As he listened to the conversation, he realized it was similar to something he would've said. That was kind of weird knowing that he had some similarities with the trickster. ["Hey, that's not fair! I get the next pokemon! I didn't even get to finish the battle!"] the pokemon complained.
