Wedsday Stretched? Huh, it's not showing as strecthed for my pc, but I'll take it down since it's buggin' yers. no i didn't mean take it down sweatdrop ...tone is so hard to express through text... but if i'm ever worried i just link it instead. but you know i think it was an awesome set of edits right? potto- eek really? i was always told you should have a character at least named first?... could just be me. i try not to make too many new characters...i have too many series i'm writing... lots of people to draw... someday i hope you all can see them.

A commish for Jenru and a fancier version of my Halloween costume. (my real one is going to have a plain blue tunic and my leather armor instead of the green tunic and furry middle. No staff. crying The rest of the stuff is correct though)

I'm glad you like it Jenru. ^.^ I did a contest entry while waiting for the Unix network to stop being broken. I'm starting to add shadows in all my edits. It's kinda nice.

I know this looks odd, but it's a copy of an art noveau dress from one of my books on the guilded age.
I'm happy with the way the decorations on the dress came out.

How is it, cynbaby, that you can cram all that detail onto an edit? Do you resize?

I don't resize.
When I'm working on a dress layer I've got the layer blown up to about 900%, so I can see each pixel.
I create a new layer for the decoration and start drawing it in. For the detail on the bottom of the dress I started with the blue leaves. Just drew in two blue blobs. I then made a new layer, went in with the white, drew the veins in the leaves and outlined them and then lowered the opacity to about 80%. New layer after that. Went in with black and outlined all the white. Lowered that opacity to about 20%. Merged those layers.
Lather, rinse and repeat for the rest of the detail.
Then I did cheat and duplicate the layer to get the pattern to repeat.
Someday I'll get off my a** and do a tutorial on just how I do it.
