Airashii went to pick up the pokeball and glanced at it. She had managed to catch this pokemon, though she knew once released there was a battle brewing on the edge. The trainer had caught the look of anger visible in the Poochyena's eyes before it had been swallowed by the light and trapped into the pokeball. The girl shrugged, not really worried about it. Chiyo and Kyou could sort out their newest member and if it really wanted a battle, they could have one when they went back on the poke-lot she owned. It was time to focus on the mission, she had to find a rare bone. At least half of her task was over because she had added another pokemon to her team. Giving her Charmander a pat on the head, it was time to move forward again.
The energy disappeared and dispersed because the battle was over. The Charmander was a little disappointed but there would be other enemies. The blue gaze lit up at the thought of others to shed marvelous blood from. Nothing seemed to stir in the forest but that was fine. Despite how strong some were, there were always others that were stronger.

Kai frowned or at least as close to a frown as an Emolga could. His ears drooped slightly in disappointment. His aim in electricity wasn't as good as it should've been and he had missed. The pokemon had barely moved and he flicked his tail. He just soared a little through the air wondering what to do next. The Anorith didn't seem to be wanting to do anything at the moment...

The Umbreon's smirk was wiped off his face when the Zangoose saved him from the oncoming Nuzleaf's attack. He looked at him and tried to play it off. Since they had saved each other, there was no one that could count that battle as victory. ["You just got lucky."] Nyx replied lightly. ["I'll show you who the real winner is next round."] The dark pokemon's rings glowed slightly as he continued to walk forward taking the lead. He walked beside of the boy's side, weaving around the kid with the jade colored eyes. It was fun teasing him.Retracting his claws beneath the white fur, he smirked at the Umbreon. Oh, he wasn't going to admit to him saving the dark pokemon? That was fine. A save a for a save. There were no problems with that at all. He surveyed the area wondering where they would wander into next. The stupid forest was behind of them now and maybe there would be other enemies around here. It would be pretty fun to fight and see who ended victorious again. As the boy continues his travel...he would come upon a forest that wasn't drench in darkness as the time of day changed. He would come out upon a forest in the early morning hours that had been drenched in the first rays of light, but what greeted him wouldn't be a lively forest. Instead, it would one where the trees were as hard as steel ....it would be a ....
PETRIFIED FOREST
A forest that has trees as hard as steel. The wood has been harden by time, this is a place where ancient pokemon roam ....and where the past and the future meets. It is said that those that journey here can sometimes if they are very lucky be touched by the master of time. Though it might be very time consuming to find the treasure buried only bark deep in the trees.

As she picked up that pokeball ....a ringing sound like that of a bells would be heard behind her. If the girl turned around she would find it almost press against her back ...those sharp and powerful antlers as the pokemon stomp the ground in his anger.
He hated humans that tread upon his lands, and he hated even more when they stole from his place as well. As the guardian of this area, the Stantler was a noble beast, but, he was also a creature of vengences and wraith, and this would be the case then ....as he snorted at her back.
If she missed him there, she wouldn't with that one action as he would immediately arch up high ...rearing as he gave her only one choice at the moment ...to avoid his first attack or take injury for it herself.

Just as she was about to continue along her way through the forest, she felt something prod her back. Obviously it wasn't something friendly and there was suddenly a tense feeling in the air. The girl slowly turned in time to see that a Stantler was about to rear down on her. She tried moving to the left to avoid those sharp hooves. They could crush a person most likely and the pokemon didn't look at all happy to see them in the forest. Maybe it had seen the way she had caught the Poochyena and felt that they were guilty for taking a pokemon from the forest. Regardless attacking from behind was something only low lifes did...
The Charmander saw that his trainer was being attacked. He was small compared to the Stantler but looked mad. The fire pokemon couldn't just stand there and watch it try to harm his trainer. Bloodlust fueled the lizard's blue eyes as he aimed to slam into the side of the psychic pokemon with a Dragon Pulse! The waves of energy swerved powerfully together, aiming to knock the Stantler back!

Jade looked around, cautiously. He was a little nervous, this place seemed to have a definite dangerous aura. Namiko wouldn't do well traveling, but he missed the comfort that came with her. The group hadn't gotten lucky to go anywhere near water where the Lapras could transport them everywhere. Sighing, he looked at the trees. They were fossilized, which was strange because he didn't think it was possible. The whole forest seemed to be that way as he glanced closely at one of the trees. If managed the right way, they could possibly hard enough to make a quick weapon if things got out of hand. Whipping his head around nervously, he began to move through the forest. Somehow he knew something was going to jump out and attack. Maybe it was just paranoia. The Umbreon was pretty curious about this forest. The aura didn't bother him at all. He was a creature that didn't seem afraid of danger, there had been plenty of dangers in the rocky place that he had lived. Plenty of pokemon to steal from and stealing also had it's own disadvantages. Battles arose over the smallest things and he had learned to become a good fighter. Tapping the trunk's smooth surface, he stared at it for a second. This was pretty strange. But he didn't feel like lingering over it too long. There were other places to see, more pokemon to battle and more victories to earn!Kyo was beside of the Umbreon when it approached the tree. He hadn't seen anything like this where he had lived either, but he never let his guard down. The dangerous aura in the air actually cheered him up.It meant that there were going to be fun challenges here and pokemon to battle. The mongoose/cat hybrid's claws slid out automatically at the thought. Who knew when the pokemon would leap out? (Just realized I never rolled for the Stantler)
The pokemon would come down heavily ....even as it would push forward just a bit ...making those sharp hooves miss by inches as the blast itself was strong enough that it forced him down much more heavily. Making those sharp hooves more likely to crush into fragile flesh if the girl was still underneath them. The Stantler's ears were down, it's eyes red with anger ...it wasn't happy with the Charmander either as it would seem that it's one attack had quickly turned into a fight between them. One, that the Stantler had little to no plan to loose ....even as there was a bit of pain in his side from where the Dragon pulse had managed to catch him.
The girl was still caught in the middle of their fight, only inches away from the Stantler hooves as it bungle it's challenge to the Charmander.

As they walked they would find that the waters themselves weren't fossilized as they came upon a small lake in outskirts of that forest. A creature would look at them from the shallow end of that lake ...the area more mud than water ...as it would slowly move towards them with it's claws clicking lightly. Though unless they made an aim to attack it ...the Kabuto wouldn't come any where near them. It was a creature that enjoyed its time in the cool mud and saw no reason to battle if there was none to challenge it.
Thus, it simply enjoyed it's time in this petrified world. THe first sight of something completely different than what any of them might remember or know other than the trees. As it would become clear what sort of pokemon could be found in this forest.

Not bothering to move from his spot, though not removing his gaze from the Emolga either, the Anorth's body would begin to lightly shimmer. The ridges of it's carapace would seem to sharpen, become more defined. His already stone like body was becoming even harder now.

The dark pokemon looked at the water. He was about to pad over when he spotted the pokemon. It looked kind of weak so he figured it wouldn't be a challenge. So he simply walked past it and decided to keep going. The forest would have other predators and they would be a real challenge. The Zangoose caught sight of the pokemon and then watched as Nyx simply walked away. He caught up to the Umbreon and prodded him in the back with one claw lightly. As soon as the pokemon turned to look at him, he smirked. ["Afraid of a challenge? Why not see who can beat this pokemon? Or were you afraid that it was going to kick your tail?"] He retorted. When the Umbreon voiced denials, he then motioned towards the Kabuto with a flick of his tail. ["Whoever gets to him first can challenge him."] When Nyx had agreed, they both tensed ready to charge towards the lounging pokemon.However Jade had paused in his walking when he saw that neither of his pokemon were by his side. As he turned, the boy saw that they were talking about something and then glared at them. "You guys, let's go! I don't want you going near that pokemon. Leave it alone." He began walking forward, then turned to glare at them again. The Tactics male didn't keep moving forward until he saw that they were moving with him- regardless of their reluctance or not. The pokemon had made no move to fight the group and he had no reason to challenge it at all. They weren't here to disturb the whole forest, just in search of some amber.
