Callista relaxed the two of them and shut down Valzar's systems first, waving the dirt over her before she allowed herself the sleep of her people.

Valzar slept the day away in not so peaceful slumber. Assaulting him constantly were dreams - of the babies dying or worse...of the females being just as his aunts and the dragoness of his childhood...none of them ended well.

Callista frowned, ducking her head away from him. "If you wish to keep a secret from me, then so be it...I wouldn't invade your mind for the information..." Callista rolled over in the dirt bed and curled up into a ball, her arms craddling her stomach.
