"No" Cileo said with a frown. She took her clipboard's pencil and walked over to Hakkai. "This one has a heart that only the demons would want" She said calmly.
"H-huh?" Hakkai looked at his chest. He'd forgotten about the whole feeling in his chest, he'd tried to forget everything mostly. He frowned, chest a bit numb. "O-oh....right" he said.

((Fastforward time! WHOOSH!))
When they arrived back in town, it looked like there was one hellvua fight that went on. Not Seiten's or Sin's doing though, easy to tell by the damage done.
Leon was lying on his side, his innards had been pulled out from the back. Blood wasn't really that much old, but definately not fresh. He was dead.
There was more blood splattered onto the walls. At the next corner was Dolores. Barely alive, she had been cut up pretty badly by what looked like claws. Metal harpy claws.
The theraquads were in bad shape as well. Broken wings, smashed in ribs, shattered legs. Stabbed in a few places and slashed at all around.
Just where the hell was Keiryu!?

Gojyo was looking around frantically, "Mom? Mom?! Keiryu! Where are you?!"
Sha Shinjo lay in a corner of the living room, apparently from her attempt to protect her youngest son. She was cut open, her intestines falling from her stomach. She was bairly there, her beautiful sapphire blue eyes so distant. Her long red hair was darker, stained with her own blood.
"Mom!" Gojyo kneeled by her. "Mom..."
"Gojyo?" She looked at him, "you came back..." she held his hand.
"Mom...don't die on me" he whispered.
"I'm sorry Gojyo, I couldn't protect him..." She held onto his hand tightly. "You're going...you're going to save him aren't you?"
"Mom, don't do this to me damnit!" He said tightening his grip.
"You're so warm, Gojyo." She smiled. "I...I wish that your father was more like that. You know, he did come before you came. He said that he had a gift for you if you came. It's in the closet ok?" Her hand became loose as her life slipped away from her, a thin strand of tears falling from her eyes.
Gojyo couldn't move for a moment, he laid her down and then closed her eyes, his eyes cast in shadow. He went to the closet to look for what his father left him.
Hakkai went to Dolores, "Miss Dolores. What happened?" He asked.

"Damn harpy. . . . He was just too fast." Dolores spoke barely above a whisper. "He's after Keiryu. . . Said something about a spine. . ."
There was a crack, a sickening one at that. Then there was a yell of pain. It came from near the central square.
Feel was just welled up in the aftershock of what happened to his mentor.
Caster and Taima were carrying the downed Hoseki around. Then they heard the yell.
"Just what the ******** was that?!"

There were three actions at once. Kartia's angry yell and her barreling out, Kenren following her, and then Gojyo following, forgetting about his gift, wanting only to help his brother.

"Oh dear. . . Seems that you're a bit late. . ." The judge, Valentine had his already blood stained claws through Keiryu's back by the time the three got to them. "He's better off dead, really."
Okay, two bandaged and usuable arms(damn surgery), internal bleeding, a lot of gashes here and there all over though most were on his back. A few ribs were shattered, his left shoulder was dislocated and now the Judge's claws were in his back, firmly grasped around his spine.

"You b*****d!" Kartia's aura flaired, eyes narrowed and her gun was glowing.
"You're dead!" Gojyo's shakujpu was out now chain ready to lash out at Valentine at any time.
"Ok, now I'm pissed" Kenren glared at Valentine as his gun clicked, confirming his load.

"Really now? Better be quick about it." He started to pull the spine from Keiryu. Definately caused pain and it just wasn't a pleasent noise to hear bone cracking or flesh tearing. But then a chain shot up from the ground and blew the judge's head clean off. No he wasn't dead yet, his body still standing but soon it dropped Keiryu and fell down.
Okay, the chain only belonged to one person. That person was a judge, the War Judge. Yes, he was pissed off. "You ******** harpy. . . What did I tell about the kid!?"
Valentine pulled his head back on. "You're just pissed that he's a half breed. So what? He's not family-" Another chain impaled him. "Why are attacking me when Kenren is right there?!"
"How about I get your tongue next eh? First Shinjo and now Keiryu. . . I'm pretty sure the next casualty is going to be the Fury Judge if not the Dreaded one."

Gojyo looked back and saw the War judge, "Now wait a sec, you know my family?" He asked curiously.
"Keiryu!" Kartia ran over to him, very concerned.
Kenren just went with Kartia, better to stay far away from the War judge as possible.

Wyvern shook his head as the harpy fled for the time being.

"Let's just say I would've been your father. . . If your mother chose me." He turned and looked at Keiryu. "He'll live if you have a medic nearby."

"Yes we do. Thank you" Kartia smiled at Wyvern, a genuine smile, "Thank you for saving my brother."
"I'll go and get Hakkai" Gojyo called as he ran off. He was still trying to understand what was going on. Could've been his father? Maybe he would actually be around.
After a few minutes, Hakkai coame and helped heal Keiryu with the help of Tenpou. They were actually glad that they could help.
