I'm so sad... I have to give my baby back. I graduated a year ago, so I guess it's about time I give back the flute I borrowed from a friend when my old piece of s**t flute broke... now what?! Gah.

my mom has a wooden flute from the renisance festival.. its hard to play and where the keys are(there's holes) there'sd less of them so it's hard to play

i sit next to the only piccolo in my school. I don't want to either.... I would have to learn even higher notes and I refuse to go any higher than the A flat 2 octives above the scale. the one piccolo next to me is black and metal and very very small.... idk how she got her fingers on it eek .

well I'm also in high school sorry..... but I act like a middle schooler a lot!
maybe its mostly high school people here because thats when its most adicting ((I almost quit in middle school thank the lord I didn't))

Yeah, everyone sucks for a while unless you work at it. Some people (my mother swears I'm one of these, I just roll my eyes. I mean, it's my mom she's required to say that...) Some people though just have a natural gift with music though. I worked. razz

Either way, hard work beats raw talent any day. ^ ^ so practice and you'll get the hang of it.

I've been playing flute for about six years now and i'll let you in on a secret : If you really don't feel like practicing, don't force yourself to practice. It won't do a thing to help you at all. If you're rarely in the mood, find something that inspires you like listening to music or something. Maybe keep your flute out in your room. Because usually, you just don't wanna play because you don't want to bother getting stuff out. So if you keep your stuff out it's already there and you just pick it up and play.

I realize that this seems annoying and all. Just seriously, it helps. eventually you'll get to a point where practicing will be like your legal high, ya know? Your escape. -nod-

FLUTES RULE!!!!!!! I love to play the Flute because it is really fun. And because of lack of school enthusiasm about band at my school, the few flutes in our band don't even try to practice............anyway........did u guys make the signatures with the Band Nerd Guild on it?
