 Well, this was an interesting development – some sort of shield around the inn, i.e. the Rocket hideout. Watching from atop Etna as other trainers were easily repelled by the shield, it seemed pointless to risk either his or his rental Pokemon's well-being by attempting to break through. Robin patted Etna reassuringly and waited for something to happen.

"I did," Mina confirmed. There was no anger in her voice -- she was still shocked. She didn't think the Rockets could infiltrate them, and so easily, too. But at least they had all come out, more or less unharmed. She would be sure to be more alert next time.

"Well that's good at least." Lynne answered Mina with a nod. They both also looked out at the shield in curiosity. Tauros really did not seem happy at not being able to headbutt some Rockets. "May I ask who's Pen?"

Lauren tore at her own arms. This was extremely horrible. The Rockets were in control of the inn; if she had left her belt there... she choked back a sob.
It was officially time to freak out.

Something was off about the inn. It happened without warning- a zap, then low throbbing reminiscent of the feeling you get before a static shock.
"BACK OFF!" Lamen shouted. It could be a bomb- or some kind of weapon? But no, it stayed as it was, with no change. Some thought it was a shield. This could have its uses, but... She remained suspicious nonetheless. "Any ideas, Luna?" She asked the gym leader.

An Original Username @ Nana Opal ran over to Meeka, out of breath. "Well, that was an adventure." She smiled nervously. She looked to the electromagnetic field surrounding the inn. "What do we do?"  Meeka shook her head. "I . . . " she began. " . . . have no idea." she finished after an exasperated sigh. "There doesn't seem much that we CAN do, honestly."
Rin milled around, floating about in left to right arcs, swinging her tail like a pendulum. "Hmm, hmm . . . " she muttered in thought.

((Rockets over here click )) Luna pursed her lips. "We could try to overload it...or perhaps try to get some ground type pokemon to tear at it? They'll probably be able to take the damage better."

x_Nata_x (Congrats hun!) Liam had never actually witnessed a pokemon being caught right next to him. The blur of brown brought both sets of eyes to the eevee that had approached, his eyebrows shooting up in surprise. He'd seen them before, not commonly, but the richer folk tended to be able to afford such things such as rare pokemon. However, he'd never seen one in the wild. Now, with one standing before them, it was like watching a slow-mo movie as Lumina threw her pokeball, pale blue eyes watching as the berries lured it closer, and the pokeball hit home. The eevee turned into that red laser, and the pokeball opened and promptly shut around it, rocking a little before clicking closed.
The healer just stood there, slowly turning his head back towards the girl.
"Whoa."
Laughing a little, genuinely so, he grinned, completely shocked. Well, she had certainly been right -- things had looked up.
"That was probably the neatest thing I've seen this entire trip. Congrats on your first pokemon." Lumina walked over to the stilled ball, scooping it up between both palms in a sort of daze. She turned back to the healer, her cheeks flushing as her mouth blossomed into a grin, "My first pokemon."
She laughed and spun around once, clutching the ball to her chest, "I got an eevee! Liam, an eevee! Oohh, what should I name her?"
The watcher could have probably pranced about all day, had it not been for the sudden exclamations of those around them. "A shield?" Lumina questioned, her grin downgraded to a concerned look, though the ball was still tightly clutched. She was afraid to let the creature out with the rockets still there.

"Can't we cut the power? Or anything?" Lumina looked around.

ANSWER TO A QUESTION THAT KEEPS POPPING UP: YES THERE ARE MORE POKEMON UP FOR GRABS THIS EVENT. SOME EEVEE STUFF, AND... SOMETHING CLASSIFIED.
They just won't be speed flaffle'd like the swarm guys from before.

As the Pokeball returned to his hand, Kiyo somehow managed to get pelted in the face with it. "Ow..." he cried, as he pocketed the pokeball. Holding his nose, he glanced at the electromagnetic shield that had just gone up. "Now what are those darned Rockets up to?" This day was just getting stranger by the minute.

Shina is suddenly struck by the urge to be out of the team rocket uniform. While changing out here in such an open space would be a poor idea, she can at least hide the hateful red R. Pulling her shirt from her backpack, Shina quickly puts the top on over the rocket uniform shirt and stuffs the cap in her backpack. She unpins her ponytail from its place on top of her head, letting it fall as it usually does, and replaces the comb at the base of the tail. There, back to normal.

Alexa nodded at what Mina said with a frown. Well she wasn't getting Pen now. She sighed and looked at the others around her. "Good to see you again Lynne." She said with a smile. She heard what Flint said and nodded. "Yeah they do. But there must be a way to shut the shield down or break it."

Hearing Lynne's question Alexa frowned a bit. "I'm pretty sure she's the Rocket member who caught us. She tricked us into thinking she was just a trainer like us."

Really not understand what was going on, Sabres stared at the forcefield like thing around the inn... Frowning, he glanced down at his Absol.
What if... a trainer with a Pokemon that knew dig, could go underneath and come up from under the ground into the inn?
He looked around, for anyone who's Pokemon may possess the ability to Dig.
