*The Master looked down to watch the Scythe pass through him.He seemed to pout as it tore right through him,splitting him dead in half.But then a dense blast of holy and light energy erupted from behind Thade to hit him square in the back.Thade had hit his target dead on the mark,but his target was a mere illusion.The real Master had formed the illusion and used his inhuman speed to get behind Thade.The smell of age lifted around him as he smiled.He assumed Thade wouldn't expect the attack from behind,especially with the illusion so real that Thade would most likely think he hit The Master.It even made illusion of his life and soul there.*

*She entered the dojo and stopped when she saw who was in the room. She walked straight to the back as she lowered her head and didn't make eye contact with him at all.*

Thade knew something was wrong the moment the figure of Soul dissipated so quickly when he made a direct hit. Swiftly looking behind, he was surprised to see a dense blast of holy energy coming down quick behind him. Gritting his teeth, he quickly sprouted his massive ebony black dragonlike wings to surround him and protect him from the attack. When the blast hit him, smoke was surfacing from the area. It would almost seem that it was Soul who came victorious. But a pair of red, slitted eyes appeared in front of Soul as a skeleton hand glowing brightly with black unholy aura shot out from the smoke to grasp Soul's neck at point blank range. Thade has had enough. There's no point in toying with this guy anymore. He was going to steal his soul once and for all.

*The Master saw the glow and smiled.In an instant he'd become shadow,and without substance.With the light not being used anymore,it was a safe move.Thade's hand would pass cleanly through him,as if Thade had punched or grasped a shadow.However,he'd also feel a drain.One of The Master's vampiric effects was to drain magic and energy from any attack that wasn't pure energy,leaving behind only the basic damage,such as a swordstrike,a fist,or a normal flame.In this case,the normal bones hitting a shadow would do nothing.The shadow slipped down into nothing,only to slip out near Serenity with a hiss.In the dimly lit room,as a shadow,he had many options until the light banished him.*

*she sighed as shadow came out near her. She held up her had with a large fire ball in it* This time you do not scare me. This time will be different. *She said without looked at it. Holding up her other hand she made another fire ball and grinned* If I remember right you hate light.

((Only pure energy is beyond the bounds of vampirism.Since nothing can contain pure energy without converting it.He's learning that,hasn't been able to use it yet.It's in training.So unless it was pure energy,he can drain it.If it was,it'd do major damage.I have to have dinner,I'll be back asap.))
*The Master hissed at the fireballs before slipping back into the shadowworld.It would remain there for awhile,waiting,and watching.*

stare I may be young but I'm not stupid! *She snapped at the shadow as it left. Quickly she moved to turn on some of the dojo lights to brighten the place up some.* At this rate I'm going to end up with a fear of the dark. sweatdrop

Thade quickly shot back his hand on his side as it crackled with dark energy. Soul may have drained his powers...but not all of it. The crackling ceased as Thade regenerated it again. He rotated his hand as the sound of cracking bones and joints can be heard from the smoke. He then walked out of it, only to come face to face with Serenity. With his piercing gaze, he looked straight at her with his crimson bloodshot eyes. His iris depicted pictures of torture: moaning and wailing souls, Hell inferno, all kinds of things that would bring terror to any being. No one ever dared look straight at his stare..for fear of being blinded or his or her soul being secretly stolen away right through one's eyes.

*The Master stepped out from a shadow on the far side of the room silently.His power masked,no scent no sound,his soul hidden to become one with the soul of the building.Thade blocked the girl's view,Thade's body blocked any reflection he may see in her eyes.The Master smiled and before him,lining the dojo up and down for every inch appeared 2-inch long sharp shards of ice.Only 3 centimeters between each one.He drove them forward at incredible speed with his power,throwing in a burst of Holy and light energy.The light would be caught and reflected everywhere in the ice,the holy energy following in a powerful sheet,the ice would hit everything in the room as it drove from one side of the dojo to the other.Like a spiked wall of doom moving in,there was no room for escape.*

*She froze in her tracks as she looked at him. Her breath caught in her throat as she just stood there unmoving.* I... I'm sorry I didn't know you where.. *As she stuttered out her apology she quickly turned her head and moved back away from him. She only hoped she didn't offend or upset him in any way.*

Thade heard the cracking noise of forming ice on the walls. Without uttering a word, he pushed down Serenity hard on the ground as he once again furled his wings to protect both of them. He winced and couldn't help but yell from pain as the shards hit his wings, doing an extensible amount of damage. After the onslaught, the powerful wings of Death remained firm. Normally a dark being would've been already dead, but not him. This is one of the demonstrations of his true power and ability as Death, the Taker of Souls. Inside the barricade of wings, a low humming noise mixed with crackling can be heard...

*The ice lay scattered about,unmelting,unnatural.Almost pretty in their own way.The Master smiled,seeing Death had a weak spot for the girl.With Death on the ground he made use of the advantage.Summoning forth 7 large and sturdy 2ft long shards of ice.Each weighed at least 50 pounds.They shot forward at him and the girl with deadly speed and accuracy.These ones wouldn't make minor holes,these would impale.As before the Holy energy and light followed behind to block any unnatural powers or odd ways of escape by Thade.The girl's fire would also do little but melt a thin layer as they passed at such high velocity.*
((And for a note serenity the previous small shards encompassed the entire room in a sheet,so there is some in walls and couches right now.These 7 are aimed at you and Thade.))

The humming noise ceased as Death unknowingly unleashed his mad power. Yelling a bloodcurdling cry, the shards of ice stuck on his wings and also on the ground turned black and flew straight at Soul. They shot so quick as though they were bullets fired by a machinge gun. Thade's eyes as well as his hands were burning with fiery necroplasm. He looked like an enraged demon. The attack was so unexpected and so violent it would almost be impossible to dodge, seeing as one would be shocked at the madness of the attack. With a heavy grunt, Thade grabbed the two huge shards and pulverized them. His wrists were barely burnt, but his hands were sizzling like hell. He shot at Soul like an animal pouncing at its prey, attmepting to grapple his neck. His hands shot out so swiftly you can feel the air split at the force.

STOP TRYING TO KILL ME!! *As she screamed the underside of her iridescent wings turned to a black void and a small piece of earth came up to help block the shards. She incased the wall with flames as she already started to shiver. Each place on her skin that any ice as tuoched looked burnt slightly*
