Lucas was sitting alone at the Gryffindor table once more. Ever since Monday he'd been by himself. He could've hung out with Al, but Al was busy hanging out with Drago. Few people were really sympathetic towards him, and again, two days ago, a first year asked him if he was a new teacher politely. He'd been here for over two weeks already, so when he turned around and the first year saw his face, they darted off and said, "OOPS! Sorry!"
He wondered if his hair would ever be as blond as it should be. He looked like he could've been in his 30's with his hair, his face looked around 20, he sounded his age, and he felt like he had the energy of an old man. He poked at his pancakes but didn't eat anything. He hadn't been eating much, probably why he felt so awful, but he ate enough so he wasn't losing too much weight, either. He wasn't about to starve himself, but he wasn't about to eat dessert and delicious puddings while he saw Fionna and Caiden laughing. They were both getting along a lot better now, they were probably getting back together as he thought these things. His hands clenched a bit on his fork and he clenched his teeth.
He'd debated a few times on actually just asking for a separate word with Fionna to tell her the truth. He'd never wanted anyone to know this bad, he just wanted to call out for sympathy, he'd never felt so broken, with the possible exception of when he first got his bite.
The bite had separated him forever from friends and family, even know, years later. Even now, when he was long past the point of accepting it, it still affected him. He hated himself for not being able to do anything about it, for helping lead those boys to their end, where they'd be slaughtered. He folded his arms on the table and rested his chin on them. He wasn't about to cry, not anywhere close. Whenever something horrible happened to him, he always knew he should've expected it. But he confessed that this time, he thought it would be different. This time, he thought he'd known, for a split second, what having a girlfriend was like. And he hated letting go of that moment when it passed by his so quickly, that all he saw was the blur.

She was starting to attempt becoming friends with Caiden again, but there was not sure how much progress was being made. She was still mad at Lucas and wasn't sure if she would ever forgive him. He seemed so stressed and terrible lately though it made her want to comfort him, yet her feelings were blinded by her stubbornness. Fionna had been trying to avoid Lucas so that she wouldn't have to think about him more than she already was. He slipped into her thoughts more than she would like, but she couldn't ignore him forever. She especially couldn't avoid the places he was bound to be like the common room, class, and the great hall.
Fionna had taken a habit of eating late or early to avoid the most likely times that Lucas might be eating, but she had been starving and needed all the time she could get after a meal. She entered the great hall and looked down the gryffindor table as had become habit and she saw Lucas sitting alone. She averted her eyes and tried not to feel guilty about it. She quickly went and sat a ways away from Lucas. Fionna piled her plate with food hoping to eat quickly and get out of there.

Lucas- 6th year Gryffindor
Lucas jerked up as Fionna entered the great hall, as if he was waiting for this moment all his life and it had finally arrived. His heart pounded in his chest, then froze when she she sat almost as far away from him as she could. Maybe she was just busy? She was piling food onto her plate quicker than he'd ever seen anyone eat before, and that was saying something since his sister was a bit heavy.
He couldn't help but feel that she was doing this just to avoid him. Well, he'd make it easier for her. As much as she hated him, he'd always like her. He knew why she was upset, and couldn't blame her. He'd hate himself too if he thought he'd skipped practice and snuck out of the school right in front of his prefect best friend. But he alone knew that wasn't the case. And the Professors, of course.
He wasn't hungry anyways, so he just stood up, flung his bookbag over his shoulder and started to leave. His eyes passed the Gryffindor table as he left, underneath his shadowed eyes. They rested for one full second on Fionna, boring into her eyes as if to say without words the pain he felt and the forgiveness he begged for. He knew he didn't really deserve it, but he wanted it anyways. He wanted them to at least be friends, if things couldn't go back to the way they were. Perhaps he should just quit Quidditch and leave Hogwarts altogether.. his parents rubbing that in his face would be unbearable. He could already hear his sister chanting, Told you so! Told you so! Monsters aren't supposed to go to school! They're supposed to stay in cages, Lucas! He walked out of the great hall, legs taking him to the common room, her voice ringing in his ears, making him cringe.

6th Year "Chuchotez-moi une mélodie
que je te chanterai une harmonie" Annaliese gave a faint smile and let out a small breath as Rose told her her mistake was fine. She would have hated to make the only possible friend she had not like her. That had been the brunettes biggest fear when she arrived at Hogwarts. Not being able to make friends. Back at Beauxbatons she had five years to make friends with the people there. She arrived at Hogwarts as a sixth year, which made it that much harder to make friends.
Raising an eyebrow she listened to Rose talk about her mother. "Oh zat would be amazing!" She laughed. "My mozer laid back! I wish she would be." It would be a godsent if her mother was laid back. She was disappointed when Annaliese was placed in Hufflepuff and not in a more known house. Personally she loved Hufflepuff but the view point of her mother and her own views were very different.
"Beauxbatons iz lovely! The palace iz simply amazing and very beau! Zere aren't houses like zere are 'ere but zer is a way to be chosen to a room." she of course knew not to say to much, there was an unspoken rule that you didn't say to much to outsiders. There was no way she would go to Beauxbatons telling them all of the things of Hogwarts, for the people who hadn't gone of course. Annaliese bit her tongue to stop herself from saying how much more beautiful Beauxbatons palace was compared to Hogwarts. "Of course zere are boys why wouldn't zey be zere?" letting a smile grace her lips she pulled her eyebrows together. "So if you don' mind me asking, what iz Ravenclaw like?"she couldn't help but ask, Ravenclaw had been the house the thought she belonged to.

❀ "Well it's not always the best thing in the world...She's almost to laid back...both my parents are. They don't care a bout to much." She said feeling bad to say that about her parents,who she loved so much.But it was true."I have always dreamed of going there..but I can't speak much french is the problem. It sounds brilliant!" She smiled in response.
"Speaking of boys..do you have a boyfriend back at Beauxbatons?" She asked it, she loved asking people about their boyfriends. She liked to compare they feelings to her own. "Ravenclaw is fantastic! Better then a dream, so many friendly people! If you ever need help with your homework their are millions of people waiting to help you. I will let you in a on a little secret. I am not exactly 'smart'...so I really don't know how I was put into Ravenclaw. Ghaleon say's it is because of my will to learn but... I think he was just saying that to make me feel better. que je te chanterai une harmonie" Waving her hand Annaliese shook her head, "You don' want to go to Beauxbatons, iz beau but not very nice... and zere are so many rules!" she scrunched up her face and let her eyes go slightly wider. Her cheeks heated up slightly when she was asked about a boyfriend. It wasn't a usual question she was asked, but she would answer it. "No, none of ze boys zere were... manly?" she laughed. "I'm not sure zat iz ze best term...." She hoped she didn't sound like an idiot when she said that.
When Rose went into talking about Ravenclaw she nodded and listened eagerly. Annaliese wanted to have people there to help her, the Hufflepuff's all seemed to be... away. "Zat sounds lovely!" she nodded, "And I'm sure zat your willing to learn is why you are zere!" When she was asked about Hufflepuff a small smile set on her lips. "It iz very cozy. It's a very 'appy place, I swear ze plants sing an dance!" she laughed lightly and looked down. "I do wish I could find older students... all I 'ave seen are little kids." despite her words the smile never left her face.

❀ The brunette's smile left her face when she heard about rules."How dreadful...I hope they weren't to harsh on you." She replied in a comforting tone. Rose wasn't a rule breaker like her cousin,Kyle...she just didn't enjoy rules...They were so...annoying. She laughed when she said none of the boys were... "manly". "Hopefully, the guys are more 'manly' over here at Hogwarts,you can have any guy you want,but if you happen to see a boy,my age with bright blue hair probably with his nose stuck in a great,big book...he's mine."She said with a wink. She just noticed she was probably desperate considering she thought about Ghaleon...waaay too much,but what was the girl to do,she couldn't help it.
"Haha...I hope the hat just didn't accidentally call me into the wrong house. It's not that I don't like I just feel like I don't fit in like the others." She sighed.
SHe smiled as she talked about her common room. "I wish I could visits but I don't think Non-Hufflepuffs are allowed. How brilliant..singing plants,you say? None of that my common room,everyone needs 'peace and quiet' to study. how boring!" She giggled. 1st Year Hufflepuff~ Azrael cautiously entered the Great Hall through its huge doors. As she walked in to find a seat she gazed up at the floating candles. The hall was packed and busy with the chatter of students. Finally she spotted somewhere to sit and got a hot cup of tea, out of her pocket she pulled a piece of honey flavored candy and a piece of peppermint candy then dropped into her cup. While she was stirring her tea Phantom, her black cat, jumped up into her lap and curled up. She sipped tea from her cup as she scratched behind her pet's ears.

Had he left because she had gotten there? Things were getting awkward between them as well. Fionna wasn't sure what to do about it either. She was still mad at both Caiden and Lucas. She was trying to get over it, but it was hard to do. Both had done something that she couldn't just forget about. She had started to feel something between Lucas and herself and now it was gone. Down the drain. Disappeared.
Fionna sighed and looked down into her food. She truly wished she could rewind time and go back to before her fight with Lucas. She would have gone to bed early and been oblivious to him sneaking out. That would be better than all this awkwardness and avoiding. Fionna pushed her food around and took a few bites before she gave up on eating any more. Fi stood up from the table while making a split second decision to go to the common room and attempt some reading.

 Caiden had been sitting in the great hall, minding his own business and reading about stuff for potions. He had been doing a ton of studying lately, since he had nothing better to do. His book was on potions used back in the 11th century, the things that were new back then that wizards took for granted today. Of course, there were many experiments that went horribly wrong, and they were fun to read about too, but he learned many things that were made back then that he didn't ever think about. It was crazy. He looked up at his breakfast and took a bite. Just as he looked up, Lucas had walked on by, not looking to thrilled. That could only have meant one thing, and Caiden as just a little afraid to look around to try to find her. Fi must have been somewhere near by if Lucas was going to get up and walk away from the great hall.
He stood up, and started to look. Just as he did that, though, he noticed that she had gotten up herself and started to walk away as well. She was quite some distance away, so Caiden decided to jog his way towards her, following her to some extent. Hopefully she wasn't going somewhere that would make it hard for him to follow her. He only wanted her to be happy. He watched as she made her way towards the direction of the commonroom. It only made sense. He followed her all the way up there.

que je te chanterai une harmonie" Glancing around the great hall she noticed a little first year Hufflepuff sit down at the table. She gave the girl a smile but she wasn't sure the girl had seen it. It was strange to think about but Annaliese probably knew as much about Hogwarts as the first years did. Shaking her head she pulled those thoughts out of her mind, it wasn't a pleasant one. Not an utterly horrible one but she still didn't like knowing almost nothing of her school. In Beauxbatons she knew almost everything, how to leave the palace and everything. If her friends saw her now they wouldn't know who she was, in Beauxbatons she had a mischievous side, here she was shy and a little quiet.
Shaking her head she looked back at Rose, "I did no' get any punishment I did no' deserve in some way." she was honest, no one in Beauxbatons was for giving useless punishments. Annaliese couldn't help but laugh along with Rose at her manly comment. "I don' zink zat is ze right word but it works I suppose!" her large smile turned soft as she listened to Rose talk about a blue haired boy. Before she said anything else she knew that she cared for him, her whole face changed, her eyes got softer and her voice changed as well. "You sound very 'appy!"
Pulling her eyebrows together she let a small frown come to her face. "Does ze 'at say ze wrong zings?" she was sure Rose was joking but she couldn't help but feel curious. "I don' zink zey are allowed eizer..." She frowned, the only friend she had made wasn't allowed in her room. A light laugh escaped her lips, "It does sound a little boring but I am sure zat more zings get done zan zey do in the 'ufflepuff common room!"

❀ Rose gave a light smile. "But you seem so kind! Surely, you didn't deserve any punishment." She said shaking her head. Rose nodded again at the use of the word manly. "I suppose it isn't maybe they are just that the guys at your school are...Well...I can't seem to think of a word either! Must be contagious!" She said with a laugh.
Rose nodded sweetly. "Yes. Annalise, I am quite happy...never felt better."She said flashing a flawless grin in her direction. Her grin vanished at the talk of the hat. "No,that hat is older and wiser then both my parents are, it has made it's decision about putting me in Ravenclaw for a good reason,but I still don't know what that reason is. The hat doesn't really make mistakes." She tried to explain the best she could.
She sighed. "That's too bad, I would have loved to visit you and listen to all the singing plants!" She said perking up a bit. "Oh it is pretty boring sometimes, but we all talk a little bit. We are like this huge family in there. I bet stuff does get done, it is probably just a slow process. Although, I bet you Hufflepuffs sing pretty well, considering you can probably take a few lessons from those plants."She giggled girlishly. "Do you need a tour of the castle. To,you know...to maybe get a feel of where everything is so you won't get lost?" She asked with a bright Rose smile.

que je te chanterai une harmonie" Her pale blue eyes lit up as Rose laughed, it seemed she had actually found a friend. Same house or not she supposed one friend was better than not having one at all. "See? It's 'ard to zink of a good word!" she let out a small sigh leaning back in her chair.
As Rose explained the hat she felt better, that meant there was a reason that every person was in the house they were. "Oh well zen zat is good." she muttered looking down at her tie, she was sure there was a reason she was in Hufflepuff, other than not belonging any where else. Letting the light frown fade from her lips she looked up at Rose. "Some of us do zings faster zan ze ozers but it's not very fun." Annaliese scrunched up her face and shook her head, "I do no' sing. I 'ave tried. All I can sing is opera... no one wants to 'ear zat!" she shook her head.
"A tour?" She raised an eyebrow glancing around the room. Her cheeks started to heat up, the only reason she was able to find the great hall was the fact that it was so close to the Hufflepuff dorms. "Would you... I 'ave no idea where zings are." she did her best not to sound to pathetic when she spoke.

❀ Rose laughed slightly harder. "I have to give it to you,it really is!" She said smiling brightly. Rose noticed the girl was staring down at her tie. "Yes,so there is a very good reason you have been put into Hufflepuff. It's not that you aren't brave, or smart, or cunning, it's just that your over all loyalty and sweetness out shines all of them. Making you super sweet!" She covered in that sugary sounding voice of hers.
Rose nodded in reply. "Yes this is true. We all work at different paces, but if you sing or hum while you work or...practice your opera then time goes by quicker and things are more fun! Although it also helps if you work with a friend." She said playfully nudging Annalise with her elbow. The brunette giggled contently. "Rubbish! I bet your opera skills are bloody fantastic! Any one who doesn't want to listen is to busy listening to all that scary heavy metal stuff." She said with a shrug. The British girl actually could sing quite well. Nothing spectacular, just pretty. She supposed she sung better then the typically average person but it was absolutely nothing to brag about.
Rose sprung up form her seat and dusted off her skirt. "Well then come along! We have so much to see!" She said as she waited for her new friend by the door.
