Sennin means 'hermit', Jin.
The title was never formal in Konoha either. It was merely a method of praise that goes back to the Konoha-Ame wars. So it's an honorary tradition (in Konoha at least, dunno how the other villages go about). Their actual rank will be like...high Jounin or black ops (if they're in the ANBU). And, as the honorary rank suggests...also the "wandering" rights.
Citrus got permission...I think.
Otherwise, Carlos will be eating him, don't you think so, Gig?

Wow Gig I'm surprised Keiko didn't get more upset at you for that comment. But I wasn't going for yaoi the first thought was the gore and then the yaoi came into mind. But personally i think yaoi is kinda gross.....
