hello hello, i know i am gonna get tagged somewhere for this but had to do it......answers to three questions......one, yes i'm male that plays the flute(among other instruments) two, no i am not gay no matter what people tell you...and three........idk just tryin to jump in.......sry it's been a while since i have had a chance to speak with fellow flautists......

Guys! I have a fairly idiotic question that must be put out there because I don't know if it's normal or I have to do something about it before my solo in less than two weeks. :x
Does anybody else kind of make an "uh" sound in the lower bit of their larynx when they are tonguing fast notes?

jinxrulzs I play the flute I'm 3th chair. FLUTE IS SO ALSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am 3rd chair as well in 2nd band ^^ out of 4 bands. I will be trying for allregion to get moved up to 1st band...if I make it. lol Mann, I hate auditions I get so nervous

i've been playing flute for 3 years, i even have a concert tonight. yay me! blaugh i'm usually 1st flute, sometimes 2nd

omg I'm so sorryy. It happens to me as well. I hate nervousness. I've never really done a solo because I get so scared that I'm going to mess up or not get a division I....Like my Junior high director told us, "Eat lots and lots of bananas and you won't feel as bad" Bananas really didn't help me =(

Heh, heh, my band director is a fat sluggy loser man-doer that I hate...heh...I call him Mr. Pa-queer, it's acually Mr. Paquette. I chose to disrespect and demolish his career as best as I can. Get this, he acually was the orcestra teacher last year, what a loser, I hate him so...

is playing the piccolo harder than playing the flute?

When I first made the transition from flute to piccolo for marching band I sure as hell thought it was a lot harder. xDD It takes more air to support your notes.. but other than that, it's not too difficult. Nowadays, sometimes I actually think at times it's easier than flute. xD
