"That they are. I wonder if those are perhaps the Pokemon usually given to new trainers in that region." Sol answered. "They look like they would follow the usual trend. And yes, Dan. Honestly, I don't see anyone liking someone such as her if they ever got to see that side in full force."

Knux found a spot on the couch, letting Charmer roam around while he looked over his new Starly, getting to know the baby bird a bit. Though, going to the local PC monitor, he switched out one of his other current pokemon for the Mienfoo he'd also caught. He thought letting the fighting fox heal a bit and get some fresh air would be good. Plus, he wanted to try thinking up a good nicname for both the Mienfoo and Starly. The bird was already making a 'nest' in his hair, messing it up more than it already was, amusing the Charmander to no end.

"You got that right Sol, though the happy farm might turn even her away." Sub said with a laugh and turned to Lykas and Odd. "Yeah, Knux gave it to me, I'll look it over later when I get a chance. And thanks for getting that vial to Fennel, a job well done if I do say so myself." He then walked over to the TV in the main area and turned it on, changing it to Unova's news station, they got news channels from all over the world. He then walked over to the couch and sat down, or rather threw himself down into the couch. "Sure, why not?" He said to Dan.
"This evening Perich Enterprise's main office fell victim to what appears to be a random act of destruction. As you can see the building has been reduced to rubble as what eyewitnesses say was a massive explosion that could be heard blocks away. Fortunately surrounding buildings her unharmed for the most part and local firefighters were able to put out the flames quickly, no casualties were noted. Perich Enterprises has yet to release a statement but Lady Venus, a representative of said company will be making a public address herself before long. Local authorities are looking into the cause of the explosion and if anyone was behind it. We'll bring you more as news develops." A news caster said on the TV and one finished the news went to a commercial advertising Salvage Balls, how convenient.

"Think Burgh will come forward about the explosion being self caused?" Michael asked Sub after hearing what was being said on the news, resting the monkey in his lap. He looked up at the suggestion from Odd with a small shrug, "I'll consider it, but I was thinking something a little more simple...."

"Excellent!" Lykas cheered as he walked over to the couch, opting to lean on the back of it instead of actually sitting on it. After watching the news report, though, he scoffed audibly. "And we'll be getting blamed for it any minute, despite not actually having done anything to intentionally blow the place up." He predicted. "And to think, I suggested we actually should blow it up, get shot down and then somebody else goes gets the honor of doing it while we're fighting to save lives instead......"

"Looks like we won't be avoiding those issues as we had hoped." Sol commented. "And depends. While Burgh's comment would indeed hold weight, gaining enough of a stranglehold on the region could even render their words useless. Think if a company like Silph grew into enough of an entity to get laws changed because it goes against what they want to do. And actually wanted to do such a thing. But as I see it, Burgh would be in more direct communications with Fennel or Professor Juniper. That might prove to benefit us." A long explanation to be sure.

Knux sighed at the report and commercial. Darn commercial ... with a jingly catch phrase and everything. He sat down, letting Mienfoo out of it's ball, and watched a moment as the fighter looked around a few moments, tense and taking in the new surroundings as if expecting a person in a lab coat to appear and strap it to a table or inject it with something. Then it looked at Knux, bird in his hair and pokeball in one hand, and crossed it's arms, glaring at him.
The brunet gave a small smile, and help out his hand. "Hello. I'm Knux, your new owner. You've been stolen from Perich Enterprises. Got a problem with that--?" he oofed as the pokemon knocked the breach right out of him, giving him one heck of a powerful hug. "Okay, okay; geeze bud, you've got some muscles on ya!"

The commercial ended and the news came back on as the news caster from before spoke once again. "Gym leader Burgh has just claimed that he knows of the cause of the building's explosion. Burgh claims that he was training his Crustle in the park near the building when they begun practicing the move Rock Wrecker. The Pokemon got out of control and accidentally hit a gas tank stationed behind the building leading to a chain reaction and thus the destruction of the building. Burgh says he takes full responsibility for the damages and has offered to pay for it by auctioning off his art. In light of this development Lady Venus has opted out of her previous promise of holding a press conference." Sub smiled as he saw this news cast. "Well then, Burgh pulled through."

Sol's beak gaped a little. Unexpected, but a very welcome development. If he could give a grin right now, he would. "Hm. I'm impressed. Guess that makes him and us even."
Then, looking to Knux, he pulled out his SNAG to find out what the Pokemon he had out was. After a few seconds of skimming over, he nodded and put it away. "Strong little one, it is. Must not know its own strength yet." He commented.

"Thanks Burgh. He really pulled through" Dan sighed in relief. His body slumped down, finally relaxing a bit. The Salvage Ball commercial was almost like a slap in the face though. The Starly in Knux's hair caught Dan's attention, making him think of his own baby bird pokemon. He couldn't help but chuckle at Knux and his Meinfoo. "You know...that's what you get for laughing at me with Electra. Anyway, we should train our birds together" Dan suggested.

Knux chuckled, patting his new fighting pokemon on the head, and smiling at Dan. "Good idea. And that way, they both have a friend their own age." The little bird looked happy, fluttering a bit in agreement. Though, the news form the television was very reassuring to Knux. Their team hadn't been framed ... yet. If Lady Venus tried once, she was sure to try again at a later date. "Hm, want to train a bit now, Dan?" He asked, standing, the Mienfoo taking one of his hands and holding on like a little child would. Knux didn't mind. Though, Charmer glared a bit.

"Sure. Might be better to do so now while we have the time" Dan agreed. In a way, this was the calm before the storm around here. Letting out Talon, his Rufflet, Dan proceeded to go to the training room in the building. Sub showed him the room earlier but never got to use it. He didn't even know they had a training room. Anyway, he went inside and waited for Knux, Talon hopping around beside him. "Excited huh little guy?" "Rufflet!"

Knux followed Dan, Starly still on his head and Mienfoo holding his hand. Charmer followed, hurrying along on all fours. Arriving, he let the Starly flutter to his hand. "Okay ... Starly," note to self, think of a good name, "ready fore some training little guy?" The 'baby' seemed quite ready to play/train, fluttering energetically.

Dan brought out Electra so she could watch the battle while Rain came out on his own. "Didn't wanna miss out huh?" Rain responds with shouting with his arms in the air. Talon happily hopped onto the field, ready to fight. "Man, you really are excited to battle. Ready Knux? You can have the first move."

KNux smiled, and let his Starly flutter down onto the field too, and nodded at Dan before giving his first order. He'd looked over the attacks the baby bird had, and had been pleasantly surprised. "Starly, Steel Wing!" he said, the tiny bird flapping into flight, and heading towards Talon.
Charmer found a spot to watch the match, dragging the Mienfoo with him so the little fox fighter didn't distract Knux during the fight.
