Elnara looked at Lore, surprised for a moment: then smiled gratefully and gave his hand a squeeze. Without letting go, she moved to follow Ulani.

Lore smiled letting her hold his hand, he liked it like that. Though he was surprised the sun was already going down.
"The day passed quickly," he murmured.

"It may have been morning when we left our world," Elnara murmured back, "but I think it was well past noon when we arrived here. The time difference ... is startling."
Though not wholly unwelcome. Despite not being awake many hours, going through the portal and rediscovering the world had a way of sapping one's energy.
She drew him close and leaned her head on his shoulder as they walked.

"Good point," Lore admitted, "But I mean even then, even though it was afternoon, it still seems like time passed by very quickly."
He had to wonder about that, probably because it was just a relaxing time, time just had a way of flying as the saying went.

"Well after all," Elnara laughed softly, "time passes so much more quickly here."
But then, it was quite a walk they were on, it was likely where most of the time had passed.
She spotted the houses ahead in the distance and nodded towards them. "See?"

Ulani watched them, smiling, then turned and headed silently towards the houses. She knew they were following, she would give them some personal time.

"I see..." he murmured softly.
Well, it was still becoming a good trip, and the fact it seemed like time was flying was proof of that in it's own way.

The kids also saw the houses just ahead, and all six of them ran ahead excitedly.
"I hope they sleep tonight," Elnara remarked anxiously. "It was morning when we left, and I know they're expending a lot more energy than they usually do, but even so it's a much shorter day then usual for them ..."

"Even if they don't," Lore murmured, "Having them go through a regular fulll day tomorrow will set their inner clocks straight and they'll go to bed like normal. Tonight will just be a bit different."
He wasn't too worried, except that there would be several tired people tomorrow, but it did tended to be like that.

"That's true," Elnara smiled. "That's true. Be interesting, anyways, to try to sleep here. It'll be so different from Gaia again ... better, but not what I'm used to anymore."

"Which part aren't you use to?" Lore asked.
Since he wasn't use to any of it really, it had been far too long for him.

Elnara smiled warmly at Lore and slipped one arm around his side, drawing him close for a hug.
"The peace," she murmured. "The quiet ... the peace of mind ... being able to relax, nothing to worry about ..."

"Well it is quieter than in the city," Lore mused thoughtfully.
And there would be plently of places of the children to run around and play than being stuck up in the cafe or library like normal.
"But you'll get use to it quick?" he asked impishly.

"Probably more easily than I should," Elnara laughed, nodding. "Sadly, it's going back to Gaia after this that will probably be more difficult."
She looked up at him curiously. "And you? Do you think you'll be able to get used to it here?"

"I don't know..." Lore replied, "Probably, it's not like I have anything to do other than spend time with all of you and adjust. No research... no translating."
He didn't have any work, which would make it easier, though he didn't know what sort of things he should be doing here.
