Not in large numbers of people no... not really.... he was good at a number of things just not that....
Daemon admited.
Not that it mattered he could still sneak up on me... he tried on Yume... that didn't go over well.

Well the first time, and this was before Yume really knew Donovan she kind of rammed him into a wall.... apperately the flat of the blade is good for whacking people with.
Daemon commented this like it was normal.

It was amusing, especially since Long was much taller than Yume.

It happened on occasion, Gion nodded mentally. My trainer's way of telling me when I'm exposed.
He raised one eyebrow. So you think it's amusing when short people can take on tall people? he questioned. He felt a bit hurt at that, though he knew he shouldn't be taking it personally ...

I find it amusing when someone who is suppose to be serious as someone from the Lau family gets whacked by an angry spiritualist. You have to understand Long's family, they pride themselves on never being caught off guard, to the point where they're overly serious. His grandmother scares me.

Well... the slight problem is... he's rarely serious.... he's good... but he's rarely serious. Well he was when I first met him, but that lasted for about five minutes....
Daemon remembered when Long snuck into his apartment via window.... Long was good, but it was almost like unconciously when Long knew it was safe... he didn't seem good at his job.

So why was Yume angry at him? Gion questioned curiously. What would make her so angry that she would hit him with her sword?

For several reasons, one was always sneaking up on her, two... well.... somewhere along the line before Yume and I became married the three of us would work on strange cases that often involved spirits and magical objects. Long joked too much for Yume's liking, his grandmother was the head of the family, she thought he would be more serious. Granted... Long's father was like.. the fourth child and Long himself was the third or something like that. While it's true that the family does not choose their heads according to birth order, Long was not interested in obinating the position and left that to his eldest brother..... but still remained the fact he wasn't that serious and he was kind of a pyro at times, it irrtated her.
Daemon paused thoughtfully.
Which might explain why he tried to teach Kara how to use fire magic.... though she was quite inept with fire... always setting Long's long coat on fire by accident.

Daemon chuckled at the image himself.
I'm not surprised though.... her aura likes gentler things than fire, which might explain why she kept trying to bring home every stray dog or cat she found.
Nevermind the raising of baby birds.... and there was that time she found a turtle on the road....

But taking care of animals is a wonderful thing to do, Gion argued. A far better thing than destroying.
He could have added a lot more onto that, but he felt it wiser not to.
