"If you insist," Guan said, fetching his staff before herding Ukaia back towards the inn.

*Li'ad stood panting in his true form on the center of the now frozen lake, which looked like a jagged forest of spikes and spires of ice. Water started to coming over the top of the waterfall that also froze over when he unleashed the full extent of hs powers.*
*He had fet the strange darkness that he had been looking for recently when he was in the Inn and left quickly to confront the creature himself, at least to see what kind of creature it was to further his ideas of what it may be after or what it was capable of. He came upon the creature in by the lake and confronted it head-on, first mistake made. The battle lasted for about an hour as he at first attempted to corner and contain the beast, but then eventually just tried to kill it outright with everything he could throw at it. In the end they stalemated, with the creature fleeing to the shadows of the cave behind the waterfall, breaking through the ice to dive into the darkness where Li'ad feared to follow him.*
*Gathering a fog around himself and trying to recontain his aura and magic within him as best he could in the state he was in, he lifted off the lake to get out of the creatures reach, should it have some way to revitalize itself inside the cave that it seemed so eager to get into and to heal himself as best he could.*

Walking slowly, River watched ahead of her for anything unusual, and their indeed was. Behind her she was dragging the body of a dead man, dirty and ingured from the try to struggle away from her late last night. Blinking at the frozen waters she stared with intensity just to be sure that their wasn't any signs of others around and she didn't see any, which could be a good thing or just mean she was going to get herself into some trouble. The sun beamed down over the frozen shore of the lake, the solid water seemed to be slowly melting, even so she wouldn't take the change of walking on it. "..Blasted sun.." She growled out shading her eyes with her hand as she stepped out into the small clearing, the body lagging behind her as it hit rocks and leaves. Dropping the arm she held it by the body stood still as she gazed at this bodie of water, which she wanted to still be a liquid. Even if the sun was beatting down this hard the wind would stop it from melting quickly."Well This bites.." She said setting her hands on her hips, stomping on the ice in an attempt to crack it.

Just a small crack apeared to her dismay and with a swift turn she walked back to the body. Kneeling down next to it she ran her fingers across the cold surface that was once so warm and with haste she pulled the body up, onto her knee and sank her teeth into the skin, pulling out the rest of the cooling blood inside his body. This task was finished quickly, soon after whiping her mouth and letting the body slide off her knee and back onto the ground, more pale and blue then it was a few moments ago."...Where to despose of you.." She questioned not knowing any animal around here that would eat him besides the wolves and any wild dogs, which she wasn't about to go looking for."..Maybe church.." She murmured and stood taking the males wrist and pulling him along, glaring daggers at the ice as she walked the dirt and grass being pushed out of the way as she walked.

*Li'ad had become aware of a large, disturbing flux of energy early in the morning and had been circling in the sky near it for hours since, wondering just what it was and how it came to be. What concerned him further was that the energy source seemed to be coming out of the cave that the shadow creature he fought was so eager to get into no more than a week before. The flux also seemed to have an effect on the local people, which wasn’t very surprising. For some time when it started, the energy appeared to be a pillar of light so compounded and bright, it was tangible. Now it was just shining brightly out of the cave entrance, giving the water in the lake and from the waterfall a sheen like molten lava, only still cold. A large crowd of people gathered near the water's edge, sometimes moving close enough to feel the cool water.*

*Torret came out of the tree line on the far side of the lake at a stumbled run, now entirely crazed from being cut off from that which he had not been without for his entire life. The effect of having so much light and bright energy flowing through his body instead of the darkness and shadows was too much of a change too quickly. As he broke through the tree line he noticed a cluster of people between him and the water's edge and stopped, staring at them and wondering why they were gathered around his cave. The one thing in his mind that seemed to stay clear, his cave.*

*The people gathered at the waters edge scattered when Torret arrived, running in every direction to get away. Some stopped running before they got out of sight to see what it was, perhaps to catch a glimpse of what it might do with the light shining through the water. To their eyes he didn’t have a material form, only the bright light shining forth around him with a denser region of the light in the center outlining a humanoid shape with long wings. Perhaps an angel of light of the purest form to those who believed in such things.*

*As he circled in the air above the lake, pondering the nature of the energy flux centered here, he noticed an apparition of some sort run from out of the forest near the people gathered and stop, staring at them as they scattered away. In physical nature the creature was bright, but its aura was blinding in comparison. It was a light so pure and bright that the only comparison he could draw to it was the pure darkness of the shadow creature that had been tormenting the area. Perhaps then the light beings had brought forth their answer to its darkness? But then why was there such hostility in the feel of the aura. A manic craze that didn’t belong with such a creature of light. And definitely not towards mortal creatures, that wasn’t the way of the light beings.*

*As the people scattered away to take cover, Torret's attention focused on the light shining forth from his cave. This served only to fuel the madness and anger in him. His cave was defiled with light. His dark energies were gone. All that he had been working towards was ruined, and he couldn’t even retreat into his sanctum of darkness to rejoin with the shadows. As his anger built, so did the light around him, intensifying so brightly that he could no longer be looked at, even indirectly by the people standing by. The last few still near enough to see what might happen fled in fear as the grass and small pieces of wood nearest Torret erupted in flames when his light touched them.*

*As the light of the creature beneath him intensified and the ground around it caught flame, Li'ad decided to take action. Whether it be a creature sent by the light beings to finish off the shadow creature or not, he couldn’t let something like this just destroy the forest around it and endanger the people nearby. Its power was considerable, and the heat of such light and flames would be difficult to quench, even with his ice magic. But it was better than letting the creature rage on.*
*Letting loose his aura and releasing the full extent of his power, any creature with the ability to sense magic miles away from his location would most definitely feel him. The clouds around him instantly condensed and froze, falling in large flakes of snow and hail as he dove down in his dragon form to try to subdue this apparition, letting loose a blast of ice in standard dragon fashion as he swooped in for a first strike, then circling back around.*

*Most of the ice melted before it struck, flashed into water or vapor from the heat of the concentrated light, but some of it got through and struck Torret in a buffet of small shards. This got his attention and focused his rage on the dragon that just attacked him, and he lifted off to give chase and retaliate.*
*Seeing the apparition take flight to come after him, Li'ad made his way up higher and higher, heading off towards the mountains as quickly as he could so as not to endanger the forest or towns beneath them should the battle ever go to ground or a stray blast strike somewhere it shouldn’t.*

No one was inside of Aitrus’ home. Asphiel was gone and he seemed to have taken his bed’s blanket with him. He was sitting next to the river some meters from the house. He was surrounded by children, demon and human, some braiding his hair and putting flowers on it while some played “rescue the princess” Asphiel was used as a plot. When the kids needed to pass a bridge he would make a bridge out of the earth and if they needed to fight a dragon or any other creature he would make one from the trees, water, or earth. He smiled as he heard the children laugh. While playing he kept himself alert. He was technically close to the house but didn’t know if he was protected. He hoped he was because if he wasn’t the children would be killed. He knew the kids always played there that’s why he walked there, covering himself with the blanket. He still didn’t have a shirt and he was a tad bigger that Aitrus to actually ask him to borrow one.

He looked up in the sky sensing something different in the air. Something wasn't right. The air seemed cold, humid, not welcoming. Something was coming but he couldn't sense what. His thoughts came to a halt when he felt a small tug in his pants. It was a tiger demon girl that was looking sheepishly at him. "Are you okay?" he nodded and she smiled and went back to the others as they went through the 'dark forest'.
