that's the nice thing about laser guns, true laser guns, not blasters (tho they should do it too). the instant you get it by a beam, it fries your nerves so you don't feel anything.

Of course, that is also why I prefer 20th degree burns as well. Nuclear Afterblast is so fun...
BTW, 20th degree burns are real. Its the ash you see on the buildings from people being fried from the shockwave... real neat things you learn in anatomy biophysiology and boy scouts....
I still wonder though if that shtogun cartridge would work though, with the molten pile of gunk, as nospai so lightly put it..

Wouldn't you have to worry about having the molten gunk, or the molten wad, clogging or coating the inside of the barrel? But yeah, a shotgun seems like it would be a cool anti-Jedi weapon; can't block 'em all, as Master Ki-Adi-Mundi was kind enough to demonstrate. Though it seems they might be able to force push the shot away...would they have the reflexes to focus that fast, on a bunch of little shots travelling very fast? I have been thinking about something, if you fired a slug at a lightsaber, wouldn't it just melt the metal which would then pass through and hit the Jedi anyway? I mean, molten metal is just as lethal as solid metal.

according to the RP rules, slugs can be deflected with a lightsaber blade, along with arrows and blaster bolts.
those are the rules I go with. other than that I think its up in the air about what a slug will do when discharged at a lightsaber blade.

well a lightsaber doesn't just melt something, it incinerates it... so a slug that's already molten would simpy be incinerated, unless its diameter has increased past the widt of the saber, in which case the Jedi would slice the middle off of it. the remainswould hit them unless they have uncanny dodge.

I mean, I though lightsabers, the handles, got busted up pretty easily. And in a lightsaber duel, wouldn't that just get sliced through?
Is it for decoration, perhaps? To help keep grip from slipping?
