As Kiyowe took a misstep the brief flash of a familiar coat sparked Koho's still juvanile curiosity. She wasn't as old as she should be for the position she had held in the pride. Sending one brief glance back to the creature in the tree she gave her sandy head a shake and stalked towards the rock her young watch had been hiding behind. Crouched low in the soaking grass, blinking to keep the rainwater out of her eyes, the lioness waited for the opportune moment to present herself to the young one. In the meantime her attention went to the group of cats farther ahead, one of them catching her eye in her strange appearance.

:: He awoke, rose by the sound of gazelle and zebra that were unoblivious to the smell or presence of this jackal. He got up and moved the rock that allowed entrance to his den. He sloped down and slowly crawled under the thorns. He then reached the day light, his white eyes closing and then opening, beginning to adjust. He then yawned and walked to a very large hill. Under him sat a large herd of gazelle. He licked his chops as he stretches and then staggers toward them ::
::His movement was swift as he quickly picked the one he wanted. It was a very large one, feeble and gaunt with age. The old gazelle barely staggered forward as the large jackal hit it full blast, knocking it to the ground. He was immediately upon it, ripping and tearing at its neck. He drug the carcass to a tree and began to feast ::

[OOC] Apologies for not RPing sooner. I completely forgot. ::mentally kicks self:: [/OOC]
The sound of rain continued to ring through her ears, the said body parts twitching slightly. The huntress (after finishing her meal) had moved away to be alone, silence being her only companion. Kivuli was most likely still where she was before...
CRACK.
Her tail flickered at the sudden sound of thunder, the light emitting a glow upon those who were outside and part of those who were inside the den.
It's only thunder. Why are you so antsy about it? The huntress asked herself, laying her head upon her two front paws.
On cue, another flash appeared, followed by the sound of cracking thunder. Mwinda cringed at the sound, but said nothing, continuing to lay still on the floor. Her red colored pelt seemed darker in the shadows of the den, almost helping her blend in with the walls and the dark floors.
Picking up her head, she got up from the floor, flicking her tail all the while. A sense of restlessness had begun to build up within herself, but she fought against it, knowing that going out into the thunder and rain would be a (somewhat) unwise mistake, especially if there was no reason to be out there in the first place.
She inhaled sharply at the thought of being struck by lightning or staying away from the place she called home, caught in the rain and getting stranded in some area of the plains, forced to go find a makeshift shelter.
After a moment's thought, she plopped back down on the floor, tired of the constant rally between sense and restlessness. It was going to be a while before the rain let out...
...and she wasn't sure which side would win.

You will never catch me, Watenga. I am much to swift for you!" :: He said this bragingly. He then lawled his tongue out and ran aroumnd the tree, trying to grab his tail :: "Hahahahaha!"

The lightning continued to struck, dancing through out the whole dark sky. Azizi stood at the mouth of the cave, glancing out at the soaking, wet grassland.
"how long will the raining last?" she asked herself.
Flicking her tail, she turned and trumbled gently into her own spot at the edge of the cave..
The lightning striked again, making a clear path for Azizi without falling over some of the pride's member. Then,a dark figure caught her eyes at the corner of the cave..
"Mwinda?" she whispered to herself.
Her heart beated like the thunder roars,as she had never really comfronted with Mwinda face to face before to ask the permission for joining the hunting. She knew she was old enough to join the pack but yet,she need to make the first step...

A black shape flew over the pride lands, the sound of feathers beating against the heavy rain that fell down onto the softened ground and dirt. It finaly took roost in a nearby tree and the shook itself, it's black beady eyes fixing on the small ball of fur that run underneathe the tree it had just roosted in.
"So this is the Pridelands Chakavu?" Asked the small creature.
The crow sighed heavily and nodded before it landed next to the gingery ball of shivering fur.
"Yes Taku...this is the Pridelands...or what will be left of it after this rain clears up!"
"If it ever clears up you mean..." The samll creature sighed and curled up, placing her long tail over her snout. The crow sighed again before placing her wings over the creature.
"Don't worry child...we made it threw worse things...and we'll make it again!"
The creature smiled at her and snuffled before hiding her face from the rain and sighing heavily.

((let me know if y'all would rather I find a different place to plonk Athari down in, and I'll do so...*tried to look for a thread that was just getting going* ^^;; heart ))
Looking around carefully, Athari leapt down from a low treebranch, his dark brown paws in striking contrast to his medium-brown spotted body, and his white belly, muddy though it was, stood out like a beacon. Always moving towards the west, his eyes flicked in all directions, and he felt very alone. Keeping low to the ground, he forced himself to keep going, afraid of being caught by the lion pride that was said to reside here. Mom, why did you send me away? I don't feel ready for this... He found himself thinking, before giving himself a mental shake, his ears laying flat against his head under the onslaught of the pelting rain. An accidental mewl escaping him as he slipped, almost falling on the now-muddy ground, his fur plastered to his body, giving him an oddly comical appearance.

The crow perked up before flying over to where she had heard the mew come from, her black wings beating agaisnt the rain until she came to the mud covered creature. His apearance made her chuckle slightly as she landed infront of him. "Haha...well if this rain hasn't cheered me up child then you have...tell me?...why is such a young thing doing out here?...I can tell by that weak sound you made that your much younger then I!" She looked to the creature waiting for a response, her head twitching from side to side as she waited.

Athari flailed, more than a little shocked to see the crow appear so suddenly before him, and fell backwards, wincing as he slid in the mud. "Wh...who are you? And don't laugh at me!" he stammered, drawing himself up to appear as tall as he could, meeting the crow's gaze challengingly, unsure quite how to react.

"I'm Chakavu the crow...and you seem to be lost child...what's your name child?" She tilted her head before looking at the mud that plastered his face, she then wiped it away with her feathers before waiting again.

"I...well, you can call me Athari." he said, feeling a little dazed. Tilting his head to the side, he eyed her curiously. "And...Chakavu, isn't it? Why aren't you afraid of me?" he asked, shaking his head and sending globules of mud flying in different directions.

"Because...I know you wouldn't hurt me...a child as young as you shouldn't even be away from his mother...where is she Athari?" She then turned her head as she heard her companion walking into the mud, squeaking slightly as she walked into the endless darkness of the never ending rain. "Chakavu?...CHAKAVU!!!"
