(I'm from Sweden) It's kind of like a really old-fashioned calculator, except it doesn't use electricity. The beads on the wodden frame represent numbers and was used in ancient times to aide in math. My mousie (Meko) and fishie (Bruce) ---> pets Thanks, spiked_fuzzy heart

The game is a success!! The whole idea behind this game is to find unusual things stuck in the site, the we wouldn't ever really notice otherwise 3nodding
Good explaination of the abacus, it is really a very ancient technology... early Egyptian and before times...
