((o__o;;;;; *has to ask* How can the bird speak?!))
"Somewhere, unknown unfortunately, in Arinas." Illusia replied.
((>,>;; *is unsure how to continue unless she knows why and how the bird can speak* <.> No ordinary bird speaks...))

(( Maybe it is like a parrot? ))
Frozen at that answer, he then looked to Jett. "....Arnias...." He whispered, probably only Illusia hearing him, but this was a time when he suddenly turned serious. "Your Majesty. You must allow me to accompany you..." his voice sounded almost like a beg.

((its kind of like a smart parrot.....it can repeat things it hears, and know how to use them, but its got a very limited vocab. and its 'cause he's a special bird. ^.^))
Yoko tilted his head at them, blinking a little, and letting out a little chirp.

Manda A little surprised at the speed and ferocity of the attack, Nash hopped backward, reacting instinctively. Then he brought his own weapon around to smack the spear away, hitting it behind the sharp head so it wouldn't cut his weapon in two. His eyes narrowed, watching the other warily now. So ... this was how it was going to go, hmm?
Well, he wasn't a beginner to fighting ... he would wait and watch the other a bit more before trying any attacks of his own. Opal continued to attack him aggressively with no sign of stopping in the near future. He began to try and force Nash away from the center of the training grounds, trying to make him lose ground.

Manda She accepted it, admiring how the light played on the crystal. "Isn't it beautiful? Kanak picked it up in Kainaldia's old youkai Lord castle." Micoi smiled happily. "But back then it was only as big as an egg."

Nash saw what the other was trying to do and risked a quick glance upward, wondering in the ceiling was high enough for him to jump and fly over the other. Because, much as he hated to admit it, Opal was better than him, at least at this type of fighting. Nash did better in shorter fights - hit and run tactics, which the other was not allowing him to use right now.

"But back then it was only as big as an egg." Still holding the orb and admiring it, Midare glanced at the other. "I've noticed something since I've been here ..." she started.

Nadil "Oh? What is that then?" Micoi smiled. "Well ... it just seems that magic is stronger here ... or ... maybe not stronger. But ... steadier. More stable," she replied, now looking up at her.

Best to try and end this quickly, then. He let one hand let go of the crystal spear and reached quickly inside his robe for his back-up weapon, a heavy, double-edged knife. Fortunately, he never intended to kill Nash, and was using the blunted one, versus his sharp edged one. Within the blink of an eye, he had grabbed the knife and flung it at his opponent.

"Of course it is." Micoi laughed as she began walking down the corridor, motioning for Midare to follow. "This is Arinas, the only land that has a stable and fairly strong flow of magic. Teh other continents have been drained of their magic but this land was dead once, for many years. And without anyone living on it, or faring war on it especially, there was nothing to consume the magic." She smiled, Kanak had read about the wars and much else then told her when she was younger.

She blinked at this information, following the other. "Well, that makes sense, I suppose." She looked around as they walked, admiring the architecture of the castle but at the same time wondering where that youkai had gone off to.

Of course, without either of them knowing, Tenjou was peering around the corner of the door. She has been wandering around when she heard a pair sparring in the training hall, she immediately knew one was Opal but did not guess the other was Nashorme till she was peering around the doorframe. She did not want Opal to see her and stop his 'testing' of Nash, for she herself wanted to see it too, but she wanted to do it herself. But obviously, Opal beat her to it, so she was just peeking around the corner watching intently.

The dragon led them into the main entrance, the tall room with its cupola roof were of a stone material that seemed to be of cream white marble or something very close to it. The pillars, which held up large arch with statues on them, stood as tall as about one and a half of a normal floor before the half sphereical ceiling began. Through one of the high up, wide windows a brightly green creeper with large, showy, fragnant, dark purple flowers had began to climb in. High up on the cupola itself small dragons and slender women with faerie wings were flitting across a sky, a few stray clouds appearing here and there. Sad as it was, most of the facial details, such as eyes and mouths, had worn away, rendering every single being anonymous. Or maybe they were still there, just faded, and the viewer was too far down to see the fragile carvings on the white stone. Right in the middle of the cupola one of those, presumably faerie, females, in her cupped hands one of those small dragons. Her long hair swirled around her, blown about by an invisible wind, covering some of her body.
