Ubel tried to concentrate on something, squinting, widening his eyes... Unfortunately, he widened his eyes at the exact moment that the lights gathered and made the sun, a yelp escaping him as he backed off a few steps with a spooked expression. But the sight of the older Empryean - the professor, of course - he relaxed, just marginally, and moved a bit closer to Grave for comfort as he listened and watched, looking completely awed by the trillions of lights around them. This class... was going to be good.

Aysel gave a small squeak of excitement and fear at the appearance of Sol, her eyes widening. She clutched her things closer to her chest, but couldn't help but smile and bounce a bit in anticipation. "This is going to be so much fun..!" she whispered breathlessly, to nobody in particular...for Grave seemed to have forgotten that she was there- not that she minded, of course- and Ubel had scooted closer to Grave when the sun had appeared. Making a bit of a face, she turned to study the professor...and then turned her eyes to the amazing beauty of the star-like lights all around them. She fancied they went on forever, and that if she looked hard enough, she would find infinite there. A soft smile lit her face, unreserved in her great joy in learning...learning and the stars, what could be better?

Elanin's eys kept darting all over the roof, but finally, she decided to focus on the students and professor. She looked around the room, and took note of faces she recongnized, and those that she didn't.
She'd have to introduce herself to a few of these people after class if she could catch them. She did want to make friends after all! She blinked a little at the sight of another choleric like herself. She wasn't sure... well okay, she actually was quite certain... That he was the first of her alignment she'd bumped into. She'd made note to talk to him as well.
She then turned her attention to the proffesor and waited for him to talk again.

Jaenelle had about to continue with all the fascinating tidbits she had learned about the solar system, and had even gone as far as to opening her mouth well suddenly a brilliant yellow light errupted from no where. Temporary blinded by the force of the light, Jaenelle forgot all conversation and raised her hand to block out the offending yellow hues.
As soon as her eyes had begun to adjust, she lowerd her hand slightly and gazed in awe at a perfect (if miniature) representation of the sun. She was momentarilly distracted by the appearance of an elder Empyrean who must be the Astronomy professor. Being as distracted with his work as Elias was, Jaenelle had no worries of him catching her staring directly at him. Her gaze immediately honed in on his serpentine features, causing her eyebrows to raise in awe. Idly she wondered if his tail would feel like that of a snake's.
Physically shaking her head to draw her conciousness back to the room at hand, she was alert just in time to catch the breaking of the sun into a million different pieces that all took their respectful places in the sky. Such was the majesty of the sight that Jaenelle gawked, mouth open, at the sight...the room and all other inhabitants completely forgotten.

Kallisto shrugged as no one answered her question. Must've been a stupid one after all. Following the rest of the students in, she immediately put a hand forward. She couldn't see, and it stirred a deep fear in her. Her hand brushed against someone, who, she couldn't tell.
"I'm sorry..." She mumbled as light flickered around the room and what could only be described as a sun burst into being in the central part of the room. "Wow!" She gasped, more to herself than to any around her. Then it broke apart into countless pieces and scattered about the room. She collected her thought and wondered what the purpose of the show was.
The professor certainly looked like he had a lot planned. What would this class hold?

Elias surveyed the class with a subdued expression of pleasure on his fine features. His serpentine tail coiled behind him,a nd Grave saw that the blue glimmering he'd seen earlier was in fact the markings on this Professor's body giving off light in the dim room. At length Elias spoke again. "As lovely as te stars and planets may be to gaze upon on a clear night, they are powerful entities and should be respected and heeded at all times." Elias spoke softly, and humbly, as if he were asking the students to join him for a late meal, not intsructing them. "The Truth of the matter is that even from the most ancient of times, the planets were revered for their impact on the planet and the people who live upon it. The ancient Greeks and Romans named the planets after a selection of deities from their pantheon. It is in fact true that the position of the planet in conjunction with your guiding signs and in relation to one another creates magnetic and stato-electric energy strong enough to affet the actions of the entire City."
Grave didn't take notes, just stared up at the black, picking out costellations

Elanin was on the proffessors every word, even if her eyes were not on him again. Her curiousity had gotten a hold of her again, and she was stairing up at the 'sky' again, nibbling her lip in thought. So many stars! How many were there? Could she count them all? She wanted to try! But something told her that it would distract her from listening to the proffesor so she decided against it. She almost laughed at herself for giving into such a childish desire, but she was... entralled, by the magisty of the night sky. With a gentle sigh, she kept her eyes on the 'sky', and her ears trained on the proffesor, so she wouldn't miss a single word.
Heh, looks like Astronomy was interesting after all...

The professor's words were so enthralling, his manner of speech so spell-binding, that Ubel couldn't even get himself to move to retrieve his quill and notebook from his satchel, not wanting to miss anything that the serpentine man happened to say. His gaze couldn't be torn away from the stars and planets and other wonderful things that had been formed in the imitation of the sky above them.

Almost without noticing it, Mat moved his hand, searching - and finding Grave's. He interlaced their fingers in the dim space between them as he stared upward, listening. He wondered just what Elias meant by the planets affecting the whole city ... how could they do that when they looked so small.

Grave felt a hand interlock with his and blinked, looking around him to find out who had taken hold of him. He found Mathiaz's hand in his and coloured a little. Grateful for the darkness, Grave smiled and looked back up into the sky. "For instance," Elias continued in his mellow manner, slithering in a small circle over the smooth floor. He raised his slender arms and with a few complicated mudras and other gestures summoned further light from the sky. Above them the stars seemed to blur and swirl into streaks as the sky rotated and drew in to focus on a certain point of light. As the sky focused the point of light resolved into a planet, tilted on its side with a thin ring of colour around it. "The planet Uranus - OO-ran-os - is the planet of rebellion, overcharged power and uncontrolled actions. It is said that the outer planets are maginifed and unleashed forms of the inner planets. Where Mars is the planet of carnal energy, conflict, vitality and spunk, Pluto is its darker counterpart: self-destructive intensity, deep passions and decay. Likewise where Jupiter is the most powerful of the Gods for which the planets were named, Uranos is his father, the vicious, brutish, primative forefather. His planet boasts the same power with less control. Uranus is expansion, and you can feel it....even with naught but this model glowing upon us, you can feel his power....you can feel your core aching for action, ambition, independance, rebellion, dominance..." Elias's face was well-lit by the light of the gas giant, and the look on his face was as someone betwitched. As the tension in the room mounted, Grave felt himself succumbing to the planet's pull. He felt restless, irritated that he was put under so many rules, distracted and yet confident...and then the planet disappeared back into the multitude of stars. Elias it seemed had shaken himself of his self-hypnotism and had deemed it a better idea to dismiss the planet. Grave blinked awkwardly as the image of the planet still burned on his retina hung in his view. It took a good number of minutes to let the feelings stirred up by the planet's magnetic force to fade so that he felt like Grave again. As he let the tense emotions flood from him, the first thing he became aware of was Mathiaz's hand wrapped tightly around his.

Notes were what held together Aysel's thoughts, but now she didn't even think to retrieve her things to write down what the professor said, merely absorbing the knowledge with all the eagerness of a person dying of starvation who was suddenly offered a feast. Part of her registered with faint annoyance that everybody seemed to be gravitating toward Grave in the darkness, but she had no time to proccess such feelings at this point. For now, there were the stars, only the stars and the hypnotic sound of Professor Elias' voice, which now seemed to be descibing the strange feelings that had snuck up on her in response to the planet- the itch to move, just to walk out of the classroom regardless of the consequences and return to her room to sketch out her notes. But that wasn't her, she remembered as the model planet disappeared, it was the effects of Uranus. She shook her head and shuddered a bit and closed her eyes in a slight grimace, not liking that she could be influenced thusly. "And what of the other planets..?" she asked quietly, though loudly enough that it couldn't quite have been directed at herself. "What influences have they..?"

Elanin listened and she watched, and when Uranus came into view she held her breath, it was a very beautiful planet she thought. Then as the professor continued to talk and explain, she began to feel the pull, she fidgeted a little, and her face started to frown as she felt constricted. She grumbled to herself and nervously moved her hands in front of her, clenching them into fists before letting them go. When the planet disapeared it took her a little while to calm herself down, shaking her head and looking around the room again to spot people.
At the rate this was going, she'd have to try to talk to them all after class.

Nadyrr was amazed, he just stood listening to the professor's hypnotic voice as he lectured. His eyes darting to all the stars, eyes widening a bit when the plant appeared. Then as if in a rush Nadyrr realized he hadn't been taking notes and that there was no way he was going to remember all this that his teacher was saying if he didn't take them, the words were slipping from his mind as he stood. Almost in a panic Nadyrr pulls his bag open hurriedly taking his notebook and quill out, in his haste and slight panic his bag falls and hits the floor with a thud. Wincing a bit at the sound Nadyrr flushes and starts to try and take notes on what the professor was saying.
Nadyrr tried to write on what he had heard before only to find that what showed up on his paper didn't make much sense. With an inner groan Nadyrr went back to listening to the professor. It seemed that Elias had put so much work into this presentation and even if the words didn't seem to stay with him he wanted to do well. After a few moments of berating himself mentally he realized he was just distracting himself more and then instead of paying more attentioned to the lecture he found himself getting distracted by the shine of the stars.
While he watched the stars he moved subconciously closer to the other students, almost as if it was an instinct he shuffled closer to the Choleric girl rather then to the others.

The sound of Nadyrr's bag hitting the floor pulled Elanin from her observation of the others to seek out the source of the noise. She saw who it was and shot him a soft smile. She knew how hard it could be, right now she was trying hard to keep from asking a thousand questions herself, and she still felt a little flustered and active from the professors example, so she decided that she'd risk missing a few moments of lecture to at least meet him,
She looked to Jaenelle for a moment and gave her a small 'I'll be right back' nod and then, as quietly and quickly as she could, she moved over to the Choleric boy and put a gentle, but frienly hand on his shoulder. "There's a better view over here," She whispered, motioning for him to follow as she headed back over to Jaenelle.

Nadyrr gulped a bit as the girl approached, jumping slightly when he felt the hand on his shoulder. He had been so flustered that he hadn't noticed her friendly smile originally. The noise his bag had made probably had gotten her attention, he wondered how many others had heard and would shake their heads at his noise and general inefficiancy. With thoughts and panic running through his mind Nadyrr blushed a little more deeply leaving an orange tint on his green cheeks.
With a sigh and a quick gulp Nadyrr calmed himself. Then he smiled weakly to Elanin and looked over to where she was motioning. Nadyrr moved forward slowly and carefully hoping to go unnoticed as he moved to stand near her and the other girl.
